Mediocre worker with minimal promo skills but was able to take the upmost piss poor gimmick and get it over better then any other gimmick ever. I mean come on! He's a wrestling mortician!! I remember watching him on his debut laughing to myself that this character will never work.

All-time great. The handling of his later years, beginning with the end of the streak (which should not have happened - certainly not then anyway), has been pretty poor.

Maybe it’s because the GobblyGooker debut at the same event?! And the Undertaker looked 100x cooler than a goofy turkey. lol

"Mean Mark" was horrible and I remember also knowing that Taker just was Mean Mark. I did like the Taker look and I liked him better with Brother Love. Not saying Percy wasn't good, but his name was Paul Bearer!?! So cheesy. And that's what I thought of the gimmick. Just cheese to throw at the tv. I really thought he would just be a jobber to the more established guys in the company. I'm glad I don't place bets!!!

I mean come on! He's a wrestling mortician!! Welcome to the 80’s and early 90’s my friend, gimmicks ruled the day. Oh I know all about that. I've been watching since winter of 1984. I love gimmicks. But we all have to admit that the WWF was pumping out gimmicks like crazy in the early to mid 90s and there was not one person who would been able to predict that The Undertaker would be one of the top wrestlers. most respected, had the longevity, etc, out there!

Was never a huge fan. To me he's always been "just okay" across the board. Not a great worker by any stretch outside of the odd time. Usually I found him only as good as the other guy in the ring, and I don't mean that as a knock. Only a handful of guys can say they could regularly elevate their opponent (Hart, Michaels, Savage, etc). I find Undertaker gets a reputation of being higher than he rightly should be. Great spectacle though. Possibly greatest in wrestling's history. Definitely WWE.

I mean what else is left to say. The Deadman. The Lord of Darkness. Big Evil. The American Bad Ass. The Man From The Dark Side. The Phenom. The Big Dog of the Yard. Booger Red. He is the measuring stick of the WWE. Not the greatest of all time but in a class all by himself.
