I want to, but then I realize that , I'm never gonna bother listening to a single one. Spotify forever.

I still collect CD DVD and the occasional blu-ray. I still prefer the physical copy to hold in my hand. Nothing can beat having something to hold in your hand.

Yes, I collect vinyl. I have my entire (or most of it) collection on my discogs account. I think I have upwards 400+.

It's a very expensive hobby. I quit eight years ago.

It's a very expensive hobby. I quit eight years ago. Exactly the price of a vinyl album is about 2 to 3 times the amount of a CD. On the positive side you can always pick up cheap vinyl albums at thrift stores

One thing that annoys me about vinyl, being a film score buff, a lot of classic film scores are being released only on Vinyl by specialty labels. Did you know you can only get this years Oscar Winner for Best Score on Vinyl? That's right the Black Panther score is only available on Vinyl and isn't on CD. Same goes for Guardians of The Galaxy Vol 2 the Score, that's only on Vinyl as well.

I am meticulous when it comes to scratches on discs. If there is one tiny scratch I refuse to buy it

I've been collecting for years. I don't find it to be an expensive hobby, just have to find the right places to buy.

If there is one tiny scratch I refuse to buy it I decided to rebuy a load of my CD's because some were effed to hell and I kinda wanted them new anyway. They were well used put it that way. Plus I bought them secondhand most very cheap so not that much of a loss. Plus there are some that are now completely out of print which I of course held onto.

I only buy what I like. I have all main stream release of the Ramones and some rare and bootlegs. Roth era Van Halens and .45s. And a few other punk bands like Rancid, Sloppy Seconds, Queers, Social Distortion, etc.
I get them from ebay or local record stores, and we have a lot in Chicago. I like then the sleeve is a little worn, only if they could tell stories. But yea, no scratches.

A few years ago I really got into buying some vinyl. I bought a decent Sony record player, and a bunch of vinyl of albums I felt I really enjoyed from start to finish. Although I quickly lost interest in doing so, I did knock out my entire wish list, so I still accomplished what I wanted to do. I still have the vinyl, but haven’t listened to them in a very long time.

I go in and out of collecting them depending on how into local music I am. Currently my record player is broken so I have to fix the needle and go from there...

One of my biggest regrets was selling off The Queers records. I sold them to a guy for $200 and it was every release up to Pleasant Screams including Punk Rock Confidential, Rocket to Russia on white, Grow Up on Shakin Street label. I haven't bought the records back. My brother gifted me Grow Up on Asian Man label so it's the only one I own.
