Big horror fan here. I just saw the terrible news that Joe Pilato, otherwise known as Captain Rhodes of "Day of the Dead" passed away on the 24th. I am in absolute shock and saddened quite a bit about this. Did not ever expect to stumble across the news. The crazy part about this is the day he passed away and I had a custom order being made for me and it was completed on the 24th, the day he died. I had hoped to meet him one day and show him this piece but now I will never get that opportunity which extremely sucks. He is one of my favorite characters in zombie cinema history, great actor. Here is the figure I had made of him. I salute you Joe Pilato. Rest in Peace 1949 - 2019.    |
