Two thirds of the main event of WrestleMania this year came from NXT. To that, of all the title matches announced thus far, only the WWE Championship match does not include an alumnus of NXT in its present iteration: Brock Lesnar vs. Seth RollinsRonda Rousey vs. Becky Lynch vs. Charlotte FlairBuddy Murphy vs. Tony Nese Samoa Joe vs. Rey Mysterio Bobby Lashley vs. Finn BalorBayley & Sasha Banks vs. Beth Phoenix & Natalya vs. Billie Kaye & Peyton Royce vs. Nia Jax & Tamina With Baron Corbin and Drew McIntyre elsewhere on the card in prominent positions, and at least the probability of Aleister Black, Ricochet, and The Revival getting some manner of booking, it's hard to look at this card, in spite of some others we'd collectively like to see get a bit more mileage, and say that NXT talents aren't being utilized. Hard to argue with clear facts. I never noticed how prominent these NXT guys have been on WWE programming until reading that. I forget Rollins and company were NXT guys bc I've been so used to their time on the Main Roster. Hell the only reason Styles wasn't an NXT guy himself was his own reputation as one of the alltime greatest in the Indys.

There's absolutely a side of the coin in argument for the NXT call-ups largely being wasted, but there are probably just as many "success" stories (assuming one's definition of success isn't as stringent as some here). Looking strictly at the top title, it looks like being a former NXT Champion is still a decent barometer for success on the main roster (again, adhering to the notion that success ebbs and flows in a business like this). The only formers I can see who haven't been given at least a brief run toward the mid-to-top of the card are Bo Dallas, Neville, Bobby Roode, and Andrade Cien Almas, and aside from Andrade, each of them can otherwise say that they've at least held a title in the system outside of NXT.

Ask yourself.... Do we really need another "_____ lost a match, their career is over! Vince doesn't know how to run a business anymore!!" thread?
