One of my auctions received a bid from somebody with 0 feedback and a join date of September 7 2019. Is that something to be suspicious of? Or it could be someone like me who doesn’t have an account, and unlike me actually decided to make one. Just sayin. I’m sure the possibility exists of it being suspicious. The auction is for a loose Toybiz Marvel Legends Storm. It would be great if I gave the guy his first feedback points, but its kind of $u$pect somebody would sign up on ebay to buy that figure. Its not the Cyclops/Dark Phoenix 2pack...

Maybe (like me) they just cant find the new one and have given up?
Doesnt seem like it would be a huge loss even if they do screw you. I'd go for it.

Two days ago I got a $10 offer for my Hot Toys Iron Man Mark I. For real.
I think a buyer can purchase an item without having an account. I've sold many items to people with zero feedback, iirc their ebay membership date matched the day of purchase. If you're doing auctions you can set up your auction to disallow bidders under a specific feedback level that you choose. With "Buy it now or best offer", you can refuse the offer from buyers with low feedback or those that seem to give no feedback or too many negative feedbacks.

I had something similar happen to me a couple months ago. I sold my Classic Superstars Repo Man but a serious personal issue came up and I wasn't able to ship it for a few days. I sent a message to the buyer explaining the situation but heard nothing back. I shipped it the next day and for whatever reason the buyer put a claim in saying they never got the figure and wanted a refund. I sent them proof of postage but again didn't hear anything back, eBay automatically sided with them and I lost the money. After that I took down all my other listings. I only sell/trade on here now.

Crud. EBay just purged listings off their site that I had previously purchased. I was following a seller because his discs were crazy good and crazy cheap, so if there are any allowed to be posted in the future I'll have to pay double for less quality.
Second time that's happened to me this year...
Now another issue that may or may not be related: I can't advance a couple items thru my Cart to checkout. Trying to see if shipping will reduce automatically because the seller says they'll combine the costs, but the site says the seller isn't able to accept payments. If I try to buy one at a time, it can go thru.

This is a separate question on which I would like some input. A seller sent the wrong item with one of my orders. I reached out explaining the situation and they responded that I need to forward my name and address. I know the site monitors communications and giving out contact info is looked down upon. Would the seller and/or I face admonishment for responding? I don't want to go thru a refund process, just the correct item.

The only thing they don't want in your communications is to work out a deal off Ebay so they don't get a cut lol. They've already taken the 10% or whatever it is off your original sale.

Just lost yet another bid because they demanded I log back in right as the auction was ending. About the third time that's happened. One of a kind item, sh*t I'll likely never see again...
To top it off, I can still buy items outright without any other steps. The hell...

I got ripped off by seller: toyfin-47. Now new account is: secondchan-3. after filing through ebay, thankfully got my refund. 22 + others were scammed and now he's doing it with the new account. I tried reporting his new listings, nothing happened. I called ebay, just got prompts, no live operator. I posted in the buying community section trying to inform potential buyers and get advice on how to get a hold a live operator. I get a warning message from ebay Gotta love it.

Guy was/is selling WWE elites, Marvel legends, $100 calculatrors, etc.

Not occurring to me but an amusing tale.
There's a guy who is my customs hookup. He recently held a few dirt-cheap auctions, I assume to clear his inventory. One item was a custom Jinder Mahal, got outbid by 50 cents at the last second for under $9. A week later I see the same figure listed, $25 opening bid. A good old-fashioned figure flipper.
