This is an old post, but I was looking for Bret's best WCW matches too. You should definitely see the following: Bret Hart vs Randy Savage (at Slamboree) Bret Hart vs Booker T (Nitro 1/25/1999) Bret Hart vs Benoit (Owen Hart Tribute watch on Nitro) Bret Hart vs DDP (World War 3 and their 2 Nitro matches for US Title) Bret Hart vs Sting (Mayhem 1999) Bret Hart vs Benoit (Mayhem 1999) Bret Hart vs booker t (bash at the beach) I have not seen his match with Curt Henning at WCW, but it should have been good as always. Bret had a match with Dean Malenko on Nitro. It was supposed to be a great match given that both are 2 of the best technical wrestlers, but Malenko injured Bret for real during the match. I also think that Bret did not like Malenko and both were unmotivated to have a great match. We are lucky that Bret jumped to WCW because I do not think we would have seen those matches if he had stayed in WWE. Randy never came back to WWE, Sting did not make his WWE debut until 2014 and Bret only had like 3 more years left as a wrestler. Let me know if you know of any other great matches! I moved this here because the other thread was 3 or 4 years old and this thread was starting to go off rails. So rather than it turning into a warrior thread it can now be about more Bret Hart matches.

I see your wishful thinking and raise you Ultimate Warrior. You can all enjoy the sparkly, hyper homoeroticism that is Jim Helwig's Cocaine fits all you want, but he is a stain on the business and SO IS ALMOST EVERYONE OF THE SAME ILK! So don't ing bring up similar characters and act like I magically ing exempt them, when I DO GOD DAMNED NOT. ...you okay? Honestly I’m really not okay in life, but I don’t want to be institutionalized over my depression. And the fact that idiots like Helwig are celebrated and true masters of the craft are forgotten makes me sick.

I don't get the urban legend, I have seen some of his matches before? He was performing for a bit around 1986, and Vince was in love with him, but he was a disaster.

You've not seen the specific matches vs Bret that convinced Vince in the first place. Bret carrying Magee to the point of impressing/tricking Vince is the urban legend part. Supposedly Bret made him look like a million bucks.

It's not even matches, it's a single match.
One specific, single, match.

It's not even matches, it's a single match. One specific, single, match. That's the thing. This tape suggests that maybe there was more than one. Or at least that is what some were speculating as the tape she posted had a different date labeled than the famous one that's been talked about. Could just be a typo though.
