Sycho Sid. Pictures, especially close ups, make the head look too goofy. In hand it’s a pretty accurate likeness. The figure still needed to be packed with a winged eagle tho.

BoAE Triple H is another figure that comes to mind. After getting over the disappointment of what the figure isn’t (1999/2000 hHh) you realize it’s a really good figure. Street clothed figures are really lacking in Mattel’s lineup and this one knocks it out of the park with the faded jeans, a cloth shirt, and a cloth jacket.

I didn't pay too much attention to the Tyler breeze and fandango fashion police elites but got then when they were cheap and they're both arguably the best mattel figures imo Totally agree. Didn't think much of these figures before hand but decided to pick them up in a half price elites sale and I love them, especially the Tyler Breeze. They're so good I'm keeping an eye out for a 1/12 scale cop car to add to them.

The Elite 14 Alberto Del Rio. When the first images came out of it I thought the face scan absolutely sucked. I ordered the complete set and was going to sell it and keep the Elite 12 Del Rio. When I had it in hand though, I freaking loved it, it's still up there as one of my favourite Elites of all time. Another one is the mot recent Elite Triple H (current), when I seen it I thought "oh another Triple H, great", but when I found it in store I was blown away by it. It's my favourite Triple H figure of all time. It's ridiculously good!

Junkyard Dog. Great looking figure in hand but overlooked and sat on pegs a lot

NS Ringmaster, EG Kurt, HOC Eddie, Harlem Heat I can still think of more figures (in hand) that still look bad.

Can anyone vouch for the new Daniel Bryan head that came out in Series 96 and will be in his upcoming elite?

Big John Studd looked ok in pictures but having him in had, he looks so good. Especially standing taller than the other figures
