Ric Flair reveals the next WCW pay-per-view event, Spring Stampede in four weeks The Nature Boy emerged to kick things off on tonight's edition of WCW Nitro, looking to address the WCW Universe regarding a big announcement. The Hall of Famer explained that WCW Nitro had set the tradition of brand exclusive pay-per-view events in the New Era, stemming from the highly successful WCW SuperBrawl. With that said, he went on to reveal that it was time for yet another spectacular to hit the screens, exclusively announcing that in four weeks time, we would see yet another pay-per-view event from the explosive brand - WCW Spring Stampede. The returning event would be the second instalment of WCW exclusives, and Flair promised it would be even bigger than the last. But moving onto more present matters, The Nature Boy addressed tonight's huge main event between Drew McIntyre and Seth Rollins in a WCW World Championship contest, calling it a must-see collision and wished luck to both competitors. But that isn't the only huge bout scheduled for the show, as Flair declared that we will see AJ Styles collide with The Velveteen Dream one-on-one, as well as a Champion versus Champion match between the WCW United States Champion, Adam Cole and the WCW Cruiserweight Champion, Ali - and that match is right now! Ric Flair was wasting no time making tonight's episode a memorable one. United States Champion Adam Cole def. Cruiserweight Champion Ali It isn't often you see two Champions cross paths, but in recent weeks, an ongoing "turf war" of sorts has been taking over WCW Nitro, as Adam Cole's Undisputed ERA engaged in conflict with Ricochet, The War Raiders and of course, Ali. The two title holders did battle to kick off tonight's action, and surprisingly, Cole came to ringside alone, apparently refusing the support of his allies in favour of proving himself against the Cruiserweight Champion, vowing to be superior to Ali. But it was too good to be true when Roderick Strong appeared out of nowhere and drilled Ali with his own Cruiserweight Championship while Cole distracted the official. Cole was able to drill Ali with the Last Shot to secure the victory, standing tall on this night as the superior Champion. The Undisputed ERA have once again stolen the win, but Adam Cole needs to remember that he still owes The One and Only, Ricochet a fair rematch for that United States Championship, and that won't be forgotten anytime soon. R-Truth def. Elias After a slight war of words over Twitter between Elias and R-Truth over who's music was better, this match was sanctioned by General Manager, Ric Flair. Unluckily for Elias, it just happened to be a flop, as he suffered yet another loss, this time at the hands of the former United States Champion as Truth hit him with the Lil' Jimmy to secure the win. Celebrating with the crowd, R-Truth laid out a few bars poking fun at The Living Truth to the delight of the WCW Universe. Except, for some reason, Truth ended the rap by thanking the crowd for their participation on this live edition of "WCW Thunder". Can somebody tell Truth where he actually is? The War Raiders def. The Good Brothers The War Raiders might have come up short in last week's eight-man bout with The Undisputed ERA, but in regular tag team action they have been unstoppable, their sights firmly set on the WCW Tag Team Championships. This week, the duo of Hanson and Rowe continued their dominance with a victory over former Tag Team Champions, Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson. Despite the valiant efforts of The Good Brothers, they proved to be no match for these viking warriors who picked up the victory with their signature Fallout. As they celebrated their victory, The Undisputed ERA were shown watching from backstage on a monitor, realising that when the times comes, they will be forced to defend their titles against this up and coming team. Will Kyle O'Reilly and Bobby Fish be able to hold onto their gold when they come face-to-face with The War Raiders? Asuka def. Charlotte Flair Despite returning to WCW Nitro on fantastic form last week in tag team action, Charlotte Flair was taken back down a peg when she went head-to-head with Asuka on tonight's episode. The Empress of Tomorrow looked to avenge the loss that herself and Kairi Sane suffered, and did just that by forcing The Queen to submit to the Asuka Lock as Lacey Evans watched from ringside in disgust. Evans regrouped with Flair on the outside as Kairi Sane entered to stand beside Asuka and the four women engaged in an intense staredown. With the Women's World Championship currently being contested for over on WWE Raw, it makes you wonder if these WCW Nitro women deserve their own gold to fight for? Samoa Joe attacked Shinsuke Nakamura moments before their scheduled match The path of destruction continues as Samoa Joe strikes again. Just weeks after he dismantled the entire Lucha House Party for no apparent reason, Joe struck again by assaulting Shinsuke Nakamura just moments before their scheduled match. The Destroyer ambushed Nakamura from behind and applied the Coquina Clutch, putting The King of Strong Style to sleep in mere moments. The blindside attack left Nakamura laying as the official in the ring rushed out to try and prevent any further damage to the Japanese superstar. Joe wiped his mouth as he backed away, a sinister scowl on his face, almost like an animal who had killed his prey. What is the meaning of this behaviour, and when will it end? AJ Styles def. The Velveteen Dream via disqualification It seems that The Velveteen Dream simply can't complete a match without some sort of controversy. Much like last week, the flamboyant superstar got himself disqualified in this contest that was supposed to settle the score between him and AJ Styles. He opted to strike his adversary with a low blow rather than see out the rest of the match, dropping The Phenomenal One to his knees with a smile on his face. The Dream didn't stop there, continuing to stomp down on his rival to make the message clear, that he wasn't going to let Styles get the better of him at any point, and this was a warning that he will always be one step ahead. Of course, this isn't over between these two men, and Styles has always been a man to follow through everything to the end, and this rivalry will be no different. The Dream better watch himself, because when AJ Styles has a target, he doesn't stop until he hits it. Ricochet def. Roderick Strong The Undisputed ERA seem to have it in for The One and Only ever since he came within moments of defeating Adam Cole for the United States Championship a few weeks ago, and that resulted in him being the target of many assaults on behalf of the black and yellow quartet. Tonight, Ricochet had the opportunity to get one-up on his rivals as he was granted a one-on-one battle with Roderick Strong and as per Ric Flair, the other members of Undisputed would be barred from ringside. With the outside interference squashed after Adam Cole's match earlier in the night with Ali was ruined by it (by Roderick Strong himself nonetheless), The One and Only was able to score an impressive victory with his unbelievable 630 Senton, putting the Messiah of the Backbreaker away and all but solidifying his position as number one contender to the United States Championship. No doubt Adam Cole was watching on in fury, knowing that his battle with Ricochet is inevitable. Shane McMahon declares himself the "Commissioner" of WCW Nitro What began as an interim General Manager position while Ric Flair recuperated, has now turned into much more. Shane McMahon informed Ric Flair last week that he would be sticking around on the explosive brand, despite The Nature Boy having returned to full health, and while the Hall of Famer was originally open to the idea, he may not be too happy that The Prodigal Son took to the ring tonight to create a position solely for his own use - Commissioner. Shane-O-Mac declared that he would oversee the events of WCW Nitro on a weekly basis to ensure the show runs smoothly and to the best of its ability, claiming that his father was getting stuck in on WWE Raw, so he is here to do the same for Nitro. The WCW Universe were not quite sure what to make of this news, unsure what Shane's intentions are, but McMahon continued by explaining that he has already made some changes to come to he feels will benefit the brand. What could they be? And what does Ric Flair think of this new management structure? Rey Mysterio def. Andrade "Cien" Almas; Sting emerged from the shadows Andrade talks a big game, but he should know better than to disrespect an Icon like Sting. The self-proclaimed "Pride of Mexico" took on his old rival, Rey Mysterio in singles action for the first time since their encounter at WCW SuperBrawl, and looked to be heading towards another victory over the former World Champion. But the tide quickly turned when the lights went out mid-match and a spotlight shone on the entrance stage, showing The Stinger standing there, a solid stare directly into the soul of Andrade Almas. Shaken, Andrade stumbled back as the lights came back on and Mysterio rolled him up into a cradle to claim the victory. Sting had taught Almas a lesson, that you can never turn your back when The Icon is around and the man comes calling. Zelina Vega tended to her client as he looked up the aisle in horror, still staring into the beady eyes of Sting. Andrade will no doubt rue the day that he crossed The Stinger. Drew McIntyre def. Seth Rollins to retain the WCW World Championship; Dolph Ziggler viciously assaults Rollins, and then McIntyre after the match The long-awaited collision had finally arrived and Drew McIntyre was set to defend his WCW World Championship against The Kingslayer, Seth Rollins. But it wasn't all that simple. The match began as the hard-hitting contest we expected, but surprisingly McIntyre hit a high-impact move right out of the gate, planting Rollins with a Future Shock DDT and almost securing an upset. However, The Architect battled on and even claimed control of the match with a series of moves of his own, hitting a huge suicide dive. But as the fight returned to the ring, the official was caught up in the action and ended up being sent crashing out of the ring thanks to a clothesline from The Sinister Scot. But this didn't stop Rollins trying to put the nail in the coffin, battling back and hitting his signature Stomp on the WCW World Champion. But with the official down, nobody was there to count the three. And this was the moment that took everyone by surprise. Dolph Ziggler emerged and unleashed a vicious assault on the number one contender! The Showoff had arrived out of nowhere and taken out Rollins with a heinous attack, culminating in a Zig Zag. As Ziggler hopped back out of the ring, the official came to, and so did McIntyre as he delivered a thunderous Claymore to his adversary, picking up the victory to retain the gold. The Scottish Psychopath stood tall as he was handed his WCW World Championship by Ziggler himself, seemingly reuniting the pair from their dominant days as a team. But the twists and turns just kept on coming... Ziggler delivered a Superkick to McIntyre! He laid out the Champion with one swift kick and stood over his former tag team partner before picking up the WCW World Championship himself. Dolph Ziggler stood tall amongst the fallen bodies of Seth Rollins and Drew McIntyre, making a statement of his own and shocking the world. Show... off.

Dean Ambrose refuses to sign an ECW contract and reveals his intention to leave with the ECW World Championship Dean Ambrose may have lost his Loser Leaves ECW Match to Jeff Hardy at One Night Stand, but somehow he found himself landing the number one contendership position on the same night. Taking advantage of Paul Heyman's criteria for the Extreme Open Battle Royal, The Lunatic Fringe entered the match as a free agent and went on to win. Ambrose opened up tonight's episode of ECW with a smile on his face, realising he had outsmarted the system and got exactly what he wanted. Addressing the ECW faithful, he explained that he was always going to reach the top, and no contract could ever stop him. He reminded everyone what he did to Finn Bálor as the One Night Stand event came to an end, and promised that the same would happen when he takes the ECW World Championship from him. But Ambrose's speech was interrupted by the arrival of Paul Heyman, who confronted the free agent regarding his status. The Father of ECW claimed that Dean Ambrose had been wise to capitalise on a minor detail, and respected that, but requested that he re-signed his ECW contract to make the title match official. However, it wasn't to be that simple, as Ambrose refused to sign a new deal and instead opted to remain a free agent with his title opportunity intact, and revealed his intentions to walk out of ECW with the World Championship, leaving The Land of Extreme without one. Heyman became enraged at the thought and informed Dean Ambrose that while he may not be contract, he is standing inside his ring, and that gives him grounds to make him compete, revealing that tonight's main event would see Dean Ambrose take on the man he screwed out of the Extreme Open Battle Royal - Rob Van Dam! Suddenly, The Whole F'n Show appeared and dropped The Lunatic Fringe with a diving kick, sending him through the ropes and out of the ring. Dean Ambrose will regret the day he crossed Paul Heyman. Pete Dunne def. Oney Lorcan to retain the ECW Television Championship At ECW One Night Stand, David conquered Goliath. Pete Dunne was able to defeat The Freak, Lars Sullivan to capture the ECW Television Championship in the finals of the Tournament, delighting the hardcore faithful in the process. The impressive extremist now has the task of holding onto that gold and taking on all comers, and Oney Lorcan was the first man to rise to occasion. Agreeing to defend his title against anyone at any time, Dunne gladly went head-to-head with the tough talent of Lorcan, and was able to cement his place as ECW Television Champion with a victory, planting him with a Bitter End to seal the deal. After the match, The Bruiserweight celebrated with the ECW faithful behind him, looking forward to his undoubtedly bright future. The Authors of Pain def. The Ascension The Dudley Boyz may have captured the ECW Tag Team Championships, but their night was far from celebratory. Mere moments after they defeated The Bludgeon Brothers in a gruelling Tables Match, the uninvited trio of Akam, Rezar and Drake Maverick - collectively known as The Authors of Pain - arrived and destroyed the Hall of Fame duo. Tonight, the destructive pair made their extreme debut, defeating The Ascension with relative ease, crushing Viktor with The Last Chapter for the victory. After the final bell, Drake Maverick took to the ring with microphone in hand and issued a warning to The Dudley Boyz, and anyone on the ECW roster - "The pain has arrived, and nobody is safe". Shayna Baszler & The Riott Squad def. Natalya, Dana Brooke, Candice LeRae & Dakota Kai If anyone has a reason to be furious after ECW One Night Stand, it's Shayna Baszler. The Queen of Spades found herself on the losing end of a roll-up, courtesy of Becky Lynch who retained the Women's World Championship in the process, handing Baszler her first defeat. She emerged on tonight's episode as part of an Eight-Woman Tag Team Match, set up by Paul Heyman to showcase the female talent of ECW, and she all but dismantled her set of adversaries all by herself. Baszler was in no mood for pleasantries as she tore through the opposing team, leaving The Riott Squad somewhat stunned. But moments after she had forced Dana Brooke into submission with the Kirifuda Clutch, she turned her attention to her allies, attacking Ruby Riott and Sarah Logan, throwing them from the ring before applying another Kirifuda Clutch to Liv Morgan. The Queen of Spades has snapped, and everyone had paid the price. Johnny Gargano explains that he needs to go back to the drawing board and earn the name "Johnny Wrestling" He may have wanted to TakeOver at ECW One Night Stand, but it didn't quite happen as he came up short against Finn Bálor in an incredible ECW World Championship contest. He made his way to the ring and picked up a microphone, addressing the ECW faithful to a mixed reaction. He started by explaining that he knew full well that he had crossed the line, but it was a necessary move to get where he needed to be. Although now he claims that he has let the desire to be at the top turn him into something he hates, and that is why he must go back to the drawing board and start again. Seemingly turning over a new leaf, Gargano promised to be a better version of himself from here on out, and earn the right to be called "Johnny Wrestling" again. He dropped the microphone and left ringside, his emotional address appearing to hit hard for the ECW crowd. He seems genuinely remorseful, and who doesn't want to see Johnny Wrestling back at his best? Lars Sullivan def. Kassius Ohno Talk about a foul mood. Lars Sullivan was enraged after losing to Pete Dunne in the finals of the ECW Television Championship Tournament, and it showed tonight as he took out his frustrations on an unfortunate Kassius Ohno. The Knockout Artist held his own as expected, battling punch for punch with The Freak, but when Sullivan kicked it into the next gear after being directed by his adviser, Drew Gulak at ringside, the monstrous competitor bulldozed his way through Ohno and planted him with a Freak Accident for the victory. Clearly, the loss at ECW One Night Stand has not sat well with the big man or his companion, and as Gulak shouted "Justice will be served!" over the boos of the ECW faithful, you have to wonder who is going to stop him. Killian Dain def. No Way Jose; Bray Wyatt invites everyone to join The Family and "let him in" It was a successful night for The Family after Bray Wyatt was able to defeat Aleister Black inside a steel cage. Not only that, but Killian Dain put on an impressive showing in the Extreme Open Battle Royal, eliminating multiple participants including two ECW legends, Sabu and the Sandman. The Beast of Belfast continued his dominance tonight with a decisive victory over No Way Jose with the Ulster Plantation. The leader of The Family, Bray Wyatt stepped into the ring to congratulate the monstrous combatant before addressing the world with a cryptic message. The Eater of Worlds invited everyone watching to join The Family, and all they had to do was simple - "Let me in". Tommaso Ciampa def. Jeff Hardy Jeff Hardy was victorious at ECW One Night Stand, successfully defeating Dean Ambrose in a Loser Leaves ECW Match. While it may not have had the desired effect (see Dean Ambrose's Extreme Open Battle Royal victory), he was the winner nonetheless, and looked ahead to his future in The Land of Extreme. But almost immediately, The Charismatic Enigma hit a roadblock in the form of Tommaso Ciampa. With his partner in crime, Johnny Gargano seemingly out of action while he "returns to the drawing board", it's time for Ciampa to find his own footing in ECW, and he did just that with a surprising victory over the former World Champion. Hardy looked to continue his momentum heading into this one, but The Psycho Killer seemed intent on making a name for himself as a singles competitor. Utilising anything he could get his hands on, the psychotic competitor threw it all at Hardy from steel chairs to Singapore canes, and ultimately put Jeff Hardy away with the Project Ciampa. The Psycho Killer stood tall, shouting that he was the new face of ECW, and who can argue with him after a performance like that? Kevin Owens shows no remorse for what he did to Sami Zayn at ECW One Night Stand Perhaps there is no man more sadistic and twisted than Kevin Owens. A man who not only turned his back on his best friend, but attempted to end his career in the process. At ECW One Night Stand, it was Kevin Owens that walked away from the carnage that was his match with Sami Zayn, leaving his former friend in a pool of his own blood, suffering from second degree burns and in a heap on the canvas. The words "Holy crap" still resonate with the ECW faithful after what they witnessed. Kevin Owens made his way to the ring tonight to address the horrifying bout that undoubtedly left both men scarred for life. But The Prizefighter showed no remorse at all, going as far as to say that he enjoyed every second of it. He even turned everyone's attention to the titantron where he showed still shots of him brutalising his former ally, including the moment he sent Zayn crashing through a flaming table. His parting words were crystal clear - "I am the better man, Sami. Remember it". And with that, Owens took his leave to chants of " you, Owens" from the emotional crowd. But he didn't care, his duty had been served as far as he is concerned. Dean Ambrose def. Rob Van Dam; Finn Bálor gets some revenge on The Lunatic Fringe He may have found a loophole in the system, but Dean Ambrose's actions may have come back to haunt him. First off, his main event match with Rob Van Dam saw The Whole F'n Show unleash a furious attack on The Lunatic Fringe, getting some payback for being screwed out of the Extreme Open Battle Royal at ECW One Night Stand. But despite Van Dam's best efforts, Ambrose was able to hang on long enough to see an opening and drop RVD on his head with a Dirty Deeds for the victory. And just as Ambrose thought he could finish his night and go home, a certain somebody wanted to return the favour from One Night Stand - the ECW World Champion, Finn Bálor. The Extraordinary Man arrived and took Ambrose by surprise, laying into him with a flurry of shots to the head before sending him over the ropes and out with a huge dropkick. And it didn't end there. The Lunatic Fringe got to his feet and looked to scarper while he could, but Bálor wasn't about to let him get away yet, and threw himself over the ropes with an unbelievable plancha, taking down the number one contender to the delight of the ECW faithful. The ECW World Champion stood tall as Ambrose quickly scurried away, holding his head and midsection in pain. His actions at ECW One Night Stand have definitely had repercussions, and just a few days removed from that successful night, Ambrose is left suffering the consequences as he is sent packing not once, but twice in one night.

as i said in a pm to you, i love this diary! smart booking within the rosters, every show feels different and the graphics look great. - the way you split the nxt rosters into the brands totally work as they just seem to fit well within each brand (ex. certain nxt stars i could see being in ecw, etc...) - the brand exclusive ppvs split every month work great in terms of long term building to feuds. - love the general managers feuding with other superstars and getting in the ring as well. - i'm kinda bummed you totally skipped out on a tri-branded wrestlemania ppv (understandable though since this universe started in january). perhaps survivor series will be a big co-branded ppv featuring all three. - bray wyatt teaming with sanity to form the family and feuding with tommy end/a.black is great. - i didn't see ambrose winning the extreme open challenge, and i'm not sure how i feel about it. i understand the move since we've all seen moxley in aew. maybe this will rejuvenate him, but he JUST lost a loser leaves match and it would've been perfect to hold off and have him debut on nitro or raw somewhere down the line.

Roman Reigns and Daniel Bryan are forced to co-exist by Mr. McMahon in huge tag team main event The dust is still settling from last week's earth-shaking return by the Chairman, Mr. McMahon, And many superstars felt the power of his monumental return. The WWE World Champion, Daniel Bryan emerged to kick off WWE Raw tonight and addressed McMahon's arrival, claiming that he should have spent less time focusing on things that don't matter, and instead focus on the things that do, namely the "injustice" of Daniel Bryan being forced to defend his title against two men at WWE No Mercy. The Planet's Champion demanded that Mr. McMahon come out to the ring and fix the situation, while he still has the chance. But instead of the Chairman, he was greeted by one of his challengers, Roman Reigns. The Big Dog walked to the ring with a smirk, chuckling at Bryan's demands before telling him that this Sunday, it doesn't matter if it's two guys, three guys or ten guys, he is walking out as the new WWE World Champion. But just as the pair were seemingly about to come to blows, Mr. McMahon did indeed show his face. The WWE World Champion expressed his relief and granted him the time to fix his "problem", only that wasn't what he was here for, and he made sure Bryan knew it by telling him to "shut the hell up" to the delight of the WWE Universe. The boss explained that he wasn't here to make any changed to No Mercy's main event, but he was here to address tonight's. The Chairman revealed that to make things interesting, he would require both Daniel Bryan and Roman Reigns to co-exist in tag team action. The Planet's Champion erupted with rage while Reigns didn't look too keen on the idea either. But Mr. McMahon's word is final, and he wished the pair luck, but failed to reveal who their opponents would be. Who will meet Reigns and Bryan in tonight's weird and wonderful main event? The New Day & Heavy Machinery def. The Usos & The Street Profits Four out of five teams participating in the huge Tag Team Turmoil Match at WWE No Mercy for the WWE Tag Team Championships went into battle tonight in an Eight-Man Tag Team bout. As revealed via WWE.com, the remaining challenging team, Breezango would receive a rematch with The Revival tonight after last week's match was ruined by the reigning Champions themselves. But the opening contest here was a perfect preview of things to come with bodies flying everywhere towards the close of the match. Kofi Kingston launched himself into a see of superstars with an impressive plancha, as well as The Usos unloading a superkick rally on everyone in sight. But the end came when Heavy Machinery isolated Angelo Dawkins in the ring and delivered the Trash Compactor for the victory. Tucker Knight and Otis Dozovic stood tall in celebration before being confronted by their tag team partners, soon to become opponents this Sunday - The New Day. The two teams shared a respectful handshake and also gave a nod of respect to the two teams on the outside, The Usos and The Street Profits. These four units have a great deal of respect for each other, which is more than can be said for the WWE Tag Team Champions who will take on Breezango in a rematch tonight. Lio Rush def. Chad Gable Bobby Lashley and Lio Rush laid out the challenge last week, finally agreeing to face Kurt Angle at the WWE-exclusive event. And The Olympic Gold Medalist came to Raw tonight with one answer in mind - "I accept". But before that, the companions would do battle as Lashley's adviser, Lio Rush went head-to-head with Angle's protege, Chad Gable. The two incredible athletes did battle as their allies watched on from ringside, but as Gable looked to be gaining the advantage, The All Mighty got involved, pulling at his legs. Before the official could step in, Angle had already made a beeline for his rival, engaging in a brawl with Lashley. But the distraction was enough to allow Rush to rake the eyes of his adversary and plant him with a Rolling Unprettier and score the victory. Rush and Lashley quickly fled from ringside as Angle slid into the ring to tend to his fallen friend. The battle will be on this Sunday at WWE No Mercy, that's for sure. John Cena def. Mike Kanellis via disqualification As the 16-time World Champion prepares to do battle with The Lone Wolf at No Mercy this Sunday, he was given the opportunity to have one more warm-up, this time against a formidable foe in Mike Kanellis. With his wife, Maria at ringside, Kanellis looked to pick up the biggest victory in his entire career with an upset over John Cena, but you should never count out the iconic superstar no matter what. He bounced back and planted Kanellis with an Attitude Adjustment, just moments away from securing the win, but it was at that moment that Baron Corbin chose to strike, blindsiding his rival and ending the match via disqualification. Corbin went on to continue his assault and planted Cena with an End of Days in the center of the ring, standing tall over his No Mercy adversary. The Lone Wolf has gained the upper hand heading into this Sunday's clash, but will he be able to pull it off on the night? Stone Cold stuns Triple H during confrontation ahead of their No Mercy clash Who flipped the switch on the time machine? Mr. McMahon did. And that's because he revealed that Stone Cold Steve Austin and Triple H will reignite their age old rivalry for one more match at WWE No Mercy with the control of WWE Raw on the line. The Game made his way to the ring tonight to address the blockbuster match and his opponent this Sunday, immediately declaring his superiority over the Hall of Famer. Triple H explained that Mr. McMahon must have lost his mind if he thinks that there's any chance of Stone Cold even walking out of No Mercy in one piece, promising to put an end to The Texas Rattlesnake's career once and for all. He went on to remind everyone who held the WWE on his shoulders after Austin hung up his boots, reigning as World Champion on multiple occasions throughout the following decade. But as he went on to continue his tirade, he was interrupted by Austin himself to the delight of the WWE Universe. He confronted his No Mercy opponent and told him that his retirement was the hardest decision he has ever had to make, feeling like he had let everybody down, but coming out of retirement for this match with Triple H was a pretty easy decision. Austin got in The Game's face and told him that he have been out of action for over 15 years, but he can still open a can of whoop-ass when he needs to. These words angered Triple H who went to deliver a kick to the gut of Austin, hoping for a Pedigree, but the Hall of Famer caught the foot and instead flipped the bird before delivering a Stone Cold Stunner! Stone Cold stood tall over Triple H as the crowd went wild, perhaps showing us what is to come this Sunday. Will Stone Cold Steve Austin maintain his position as General Manager of WWE Raw, or will The Game reign supreme and put Austin back into retirement for good? Ronda Rousey def. Bayley; Becky Lynch gets her hands on The Rowdy One So much for supportive Ronda Rousey. The former cage fighter showed her true colours last week after earning the right to become number one contender for the Women's World Championship at No Mercy, attacking Becky Lynch later in the night after her match with Alexa Bliss. The Rowdy One continued to demonstrate her new attitude tonight, showing no remorse for what she did, and taking out more of her frustrations on Lynch's good friend, Bayley. The number one contender picked up the win by forcing The Huggable One to submit to the sickening armbar. But when Rousey appeared to be continuing her assault as a message to Lynch, The Man emerged and came to the aid of her friend, trading blows with her No Mercy challenger, and even sending her crashing to the outside with a clothesline. Rousey retreated as Becky checked on Bayley, but the damage had already been done. The smirk on Ronda Rousey's face told the full story as she motioned around her waist. These two women collide this Sunday with the Women's World Championship on the line. Breezango def. WWE Tag Team Champions The Revival Their days as WWE Tag Team Champions may be numbered as The Revival suffered another loss to Breezango tonight on WWE Raw. Albeit, the contest also featured the other four teams involved in this Sunday's Tag Team Turmoil Match as they arrived at ringside acting as a distraction for Dash and Dawson. The New Day, The Usos, The Street Profits and Heavy Machinery all made their presence felt during the bout, which allowed Tyler Breeze and Fandango to gain an advantage and secure the victory thanks to a Beauty Shot from Prince Pretty. The five challenging teams stood in union as The Revival quickly scurried up the aisle with their titles clutched to their chests. It will be every team for themselves this Sunday, and the last remaining team standing will capture the gold, but for now, we all stand together against The Revival. Mr. McMahon reinstates the Hardcore Championship with a view to crown the first Champion at WWE No Mercy Extreme Championship Wrestling, eat your heart out! The Chairman once again made his way out to the ring for the second time tonight, this time holding a very familiar item in his right hand - the WWE Hardcore Championship. The title that has been defunct since 2002 had finally made its return to WWE Raw, and Mr. McMahon was proud to announce that a new Champion would be found this Sunday. Revealing a 15-Minute Open Challenge Match for WWE No Mercy, Mr. McMahon declared that we would have ourselves a Hardcore Champion one way or another once the 15 minutes are up. No disqualifications, no countouts, falls count anywhere and everyone is eligible. The chaos of the Hardcore Championship has returned to our screens, and it's time to get hardcore! Shelton Benjamin vs. Jason Jordan ends in a no contest when Kane and Braun Strowman crash the match This competitive one-on-one encounter quickly turned ugly when Braun Strowman stormed to the ring and began decimating both men, forcing the official to throw out the match. The Monster Among Men laid waste to both Jordan and Benjamin, until a familiar face from last week once again emerged - The Big Red Monster, Kane. The former World Champion arrived amidst the fire and flames, confronting Strowman for the second week in a row. But instead of coming to blows, the pair turned their attention to the other competitors in the ring with Kane delivering a Chokeslam to Jason Jordan, and Strowman planting Shelton Benjamin with a running powerslam moments later. In what appeared to be a one-upsmanship situation, these two monsters stood face-to-face, and just moments after this titanic confrontation, it was announced via WWE.com that the pair will collide this Sunday at WWE No Mercy. Hold on to your seats, this one's going to be monstrous. MizTV ends in chaos as The Miz strikes Tyler Bate with a Skull-Crushing Finale It was clear that The Miz inviting his challenger for the Intercontinental Championship, Tyler Bate onto MizTV tonight was never going to end well. And you could say, that was pretty accurate as it ended in pure chaos. The A-Lister presented yet another edition of his infamous MizTV segment and introduced his special guest, Tyler Bate who he will defend the title against this Sunday at WWE No Mercy. Initially, the segment went off without a hitch, albeit filled with The Miz's jibes towards his No Mercy adversary. But when the young British superstar began to retaliate with some verbal barbs of his own, the Intercontinental Champion became agitated and got aggressive, shoving around his smaller challenger. Tyler Bate wasn't going to stand there and take that, and so slapped The Miz across the face to the delight of the WWE Universe. However, he paid the prixe for his actions when Miz delivered a boot between the legs, dropping Bate down with a low blow and proceeding to unleash a furious assault on Bate. The A-Lister finished off the segment with a Skull-Crushing Finale, leaving the number one contender laying and standing tall heading into No Mercy this Sunday. Will he be able to reign supreme on the night? WWE World Champion Daniel Bryan & Roman Reigns def. The Hardy Boyz Mr. McMahon kept his cards very close to his chest when it came to Daniel Bryan and Roman Reigns' opponents tonight, and it was well worth the wait as the shock reunion of The Hardy Boyz had the arena in a frenzy. Pulling some strings with his universal power over the company, the Chairman had sworn in ECW's Jeff Hardy to reunite with his brother Matt to reform one of the greatest tag teams in history, all to test the mettle of the WWE World Champion and one of his challengers. After the initial shock factor had died down, a competitive match ensued and back and forth the two teams went with The Hardyz displaying some classic offence, but surprisingly, The Big Dog and The Planet's Champion were co-existing quite well, even working together in tandem on occasions. But when the opening arose for Reigns to deliver a thunderous Spear to Matt Hardy for the win, Daniel Bryan swooped in an struck with a running knee to his tag team partner! The WWE World Champion laid out his challenger just moments before the end of the match and stole the victory for himself. It was always going to be too good to be true, and Daniel Bryan had once again got the upper hand over one of his two No Mercy adversaries. And speaking of the other challenger, Brock Lesnar, we were shown the backstage area where The Beast himself was stood, observing the events that had just unfolded before walking out of view. The Triple Threat main event is sure to be one you won't want to miss.

Dolph Ziggler explains his actions and refuses to be overlooked anymore When Dolph Ziggler emerged during the main event last week, it was safe to assume that he would be helping out his old partner, Drew McIntyre in retaining his WCW World Championship against Seth Rollins. And yes, he did do just that. But moments after assisting McIntyre with his victory, The Show-off struck The Scottish Psychopath as well, becoming the last man standing on last week's edition of Nitro. Dolph Ziggler made his way to the ring to address his action, much to the chagrin of the WCW Universe who were not delighted to see The Show-off at all. He began to explain that last week was a long time coming, claiming to have been overlooked by senior management for far too long. Becoming increasingly aggressive, Ziggler declared that it should have been him who won the Men's Royal Rumble Match. It should have been him who beat AJ Styles to become the WCW World Champion. According to Ziggler, the agreement between him and Drew McIntyre was that they would take each other to the top and take over WCW Nitro as one, but instead he was left in the dust and forgotten as always. "But now, all that changed" he declared, "because I'm going to stop at nothing until I get what I deserve, and that's the WCW World Championship". The Show-off glared into the camera with a somewhat deranged expression, making a clear statement that he was going to make WCW Nitro hell for anyone who would get in his way. And tonight, he vowed to take down Seth Rollins in the main event, and prove to the world why it should have been him. Shinsuke Nakamura def. Samoa Joe It seems that Joe's path of destruction had encountered a roadblock, and that roadblock goes by the name Shinsuke Nakamura. Last week, The Destroyer took it upon himself to ambush The King of Strong Style moments before their scheduled match, resulting in the bout being discarded. This week, the match had been reset and the pair of old rivals went head-to-head on WCW Nitro. Joe displayed his aggression as always, but Nakamura was just as feisty, holding his own against the merciless competitor. But when The Samoan Submission Machine went to apply his signature Coquina Clutch, The Rockstar transformed the hold into a small package and picked up a shock victory over his adversary. Nakamura retreated with the WCW Universe's support behind him, Joe looking on in a fit of rage. The Destroyer grabbed the official by the scruff of the neck and demanded he rethink the decision, but it was final, and Nakamura gave a smirk to his opponent before gesturing towards him and screaming "Come onnnnnn!". The King of Strong Style had got one-up on Samoa Joe, for sure. Peyton Royce def. Carmella The women's division has continued to grow week in, week out, and with the Women's World Championship most recently focused within WWE Raw, the women of WCW Nitro have been showcasing their ability all the more. Another example of this was an impressive victory for Peyton Royce over former Women's Champion, Carmella as her best friend, Billie Kay cheered her on from ringside. The Australian Sensation was able to put The Princess of Staten Island away with a Venus Fly-Trap and pick up the victory, gaining The IIconics some much-needed momentum. Will this women's movement on Nitro prove to be the catalyst for a change? WCW Tag Team Champions The Undisputed ERA def. Lucha House Party Last week, we saw The War Raiders demonstrate their dominance in tag team action as they defeated The Good Brothers. The WCW Tag Team Champions were watching on from backstage, and were clearly concerned about the impending threat, but tonight, Kyle O'Reilly and Bobby Fish took to the ring, flanked by Roderick Strong and the WCW United States Champion, Adam Cole. The Undisputed ERA picked up an equally dominant victory over Lucha House Party, specifically Lince Dorado and Gran Metalik. The masked luchadores could not answer the offence of the former reDragon and The Golden Lynx fell victim to Total Elimination, handing the champs a victory. After the match, The Undisputed ERA stood united in celebration, showing any of their challengers that they are not to be intimidated. Can Adam Cole replicate his allies' success later tonight when he goes one-on-one with the legendary Rey Mysterio? "Commissioner" Shane McMahon expresses his concerns to Ric Flair When Shane McMahon revealed his self-made position of "Commissioner" last week, it was clear that something was going on, and it seems that The Prodigal Son might have let his brief stint as Interim General Manager go to his head. Using his McMahon name to assign himself the role, Shane called the current General Manager of WCW Nitro, Ric Flair into his office to discuss some "concerns" he had regarding the brand. Shane explained that he was worried that Ric Flair's personal emotions getting in the way of his judgement, such as his history with The Velveteen Dream. While The Nature Boy denied any issues and asked Shane what this was really about, the "Commissioner" stated that he was going to be overseeing Flair's performance over the next few weeks running up to WCW Spring Stampede and would give him feedback at the pay-per-view event. The 16-time World Champion looked on in confusion and anger as Shane McMahon left the office. What is Shane McMahon's problem? Cedric Alexander wins an 8-Man Battle Royal to earn a shot at the WCW Cruiserweight Championship next week Eight of WCW's greatest high-flyers went into battle tonight to find out who would receive the opportunity to challenge Ali for the WCW Cruiserweight Championship next week. Bodies quickly began to fly everywhere with eliminations all over. Ariya Daivari and TJP were the first to be eliminated, followed shortly after by Akira Tozawa. A surprising elimination for Noam Dar saw him dump Tony Nese over the ropes leaving four men remaining. The former number one contender, Hideo Itami unleashed his aggression on his remaining opponents, only to find himself sent over the ropes with his own momentum, courtesy of Kalisto. The luchadore was then sent over and out himself by Noam Dar, but ultimately it was Cedric Alexander with an impressive roundhouse kick that eliminated Noam Dar, landing him the victory. ALexander celebrated with the WCW Universe and was surprised to see the WCW Cruiserweight Champion himself, Ali make an appearance and confront his new challenger. The pair shared a handshake with their title bout looming next week, one that is sure to be a must-see encounter. Andrade "Cien" Almas challenges The Icon, Sting to a match at WCW Spring Stampede You can't knock Andrade's guts, that's for sure. The self-proclaimed "Pride of Mexico" came to the ring with Zelina Vega this week to address his recent encounters with the legendary Sting. The brash superstar began ranting in his native language before explaining in broken English that he would give Sting the "privelege" of facing him at WCW Spring Stampede, only so that he can put The Icon down and prove to everyone that he is the only "icon" on WCW Nitro. Vega stepped in to officially invite the Hall of Famer to next week's WCW Nitro, face-to-face, man-to-man, away from the shadows. Will The Stinger show up to accept this bold challenge and once again step through the ropes for a match with El Idolo? Charlotte Flair def. Kairi Sane It seems that The Queen had merely hit a bump in the road with her loss to Asuka last week, redeeming herself with a victory over The Empress of Tomorrow's ally, Kairi Sane. As Asuka looked on from ringside, she could do nothing but observe as the second generation superstar forced The Pirate Princess into submission with the Figure-Eight Leglock. Not to mention the added element of Lacey Evans at ringside, continuing to support her newfound best friend, Charlotte Flair during her matches. The Lady assisted Flair in her celebration as the pair of Japanese superstars retreated in disappointment, but the WCW Universe were not too happy at the result. Regardless, The Queen and The Lady stand tall tonight, with rumours of a new Women's Championship looming. Rey Mysterio def. WCW United States Champion Adam Cole via disqualification Wherever Adam Cole goes, the rest of The Undisputed ERA surely follows, and that was true with Cole's non-title bout with Rey Mysterio tonight on WCW Nitro. The leader of Undisputed ERA went head-to-head with the legendary competitor, hoping to pick up a huge victory, but when he realised that he may have underestimated the ability of the former World Champion, he decided to call in some backup - enter Roderick Strong. The black and yellow ally of the United States Champion rushed the ring and attack Mysterio, forcing the official to call for a disqualification finish, but it didn't end there as Cole and Strong continued to beat down on Mysterio. That was until the arrival of some backup of his own in the form of Ricochet. The man who has felt the wrath of Undisputed ERA more than once in the past few weeks, came to the aid of one of his icons and stood side-by-side with Rey Mysterio as the quartet squared off. With The One and Only hunting Cole's United States Championship, this could have been a sign of things to come in the very near future. AJ Styles called out The Velveteen Dream for a fight; The Dream refused The ongoing rivalry between AJ Styles nad The Velveteen Dream that stemmed from the number one contendership Fatal 4-Way bout a few weeks ago has been boiling over fast. After The Dream cost Styles his rematch with Drew McIntyre, and then ended their one-on-one contest with a low blow last week, tensions were higher than ever and The Phenomenal One hit the ring ready for some retribution. The former World Champion issued a direct message to the flamboyant superstar and invited him out to the ring to settle this man-to-man, and at first it seemed as though they were going to do exactly that. The Velveteen Dream emerged and strolled his way to the ring, within inches of climbing through the ropes, but before he set foot on the canvas, he shook his head and raised a microphone to his lips, simply declaring "No deal". He extended his arms with a smug smirk and hopped back off the ring apron before leaving up the aisle, AJ Styles infuriated by his disrespect. The Dream shrugged off the negativity from the WCW Universe and patronisingly blew a kiss and waved to The Phenomenal One as he stared a hole right back at him. The Dream is walking a fine line, and AJ Styles is not the man to cross when he is focused and angry. Dolph Ziggler def. Seth Rollins; Drew McIntyre attacked The Show-off after the match Friends? Enemies? Frienemies? It doesn't matter anymore, because the only thing that's for sure is that Dolph Ziggler is in it for himself, and he established that last week when he not only attacked Seth Rollins, costing him his opportunity at the WCW World Championship, but also attacked his former ally, Drew McIntyre post-match. As he stated at the top of the show, The Show-off refuses to be overlooked any longer, and is taking his spots for himself. His actions led to this stunning main event between Ziggler and Seth Rollins with The Kingslayer looking for some retribution. However, Ziggler's all-new attitude and aggression meant that he was extremely focused, and was able to defeat Rollins with a superkick, albeit after a few underhanded tactics throughout the contest. With the former World Champion now stood victorious over the former number one contender, he felt on top of the world with the WCW World Championship within his reach. Well it just so happened that the title was a lot closer than he thought... Drew McIntyre emerged and returned the favour on his former friend, blindsiding Ziggler and planting him in the center of the ring with a Future Shock DDT. The WCW World Champion raised the title above his head, bellowing "I am the Champion!" with his foot on Ziggler's chest, while Seth Rollins struggled to recover on the outside.

Finn Bálor convinces Paul Heyman not to revoke Dean Ambrose's ECW World Championship opportunity The Father of ECW was still very much frustrated with the current situation that landed Dean Ambrose with a shot at the ECW World Championship, despite being uncontracted thanks to his loss at One Night Stand to Jeff Hardy. Adding further fuel to the fire, The Lunatic Fringe revealed last week that he intends to win the ECW World Championship and walk out, leaving The Land of Extreme without its prestigious gold. Paul Heyman made his way to the ring tonight to address this chaotic situation and began by apologising to the ECW faithful for the disrespect shown by Ambrose. And it all seemed that Heyman was about to reveal that he had no choice but to revoke Ambrose's opportunity and suffer the legal consequences for his decision. However, before Heyman could make the call official, he was interrupted by the ECW World Champion himself, Finn Bálor who came to the ring to stop Heyman from putting himself at legal risk. The Extraordinary Man disagreed with the decision to strip Ambrose of his opportunity, and instead suggested that the match go ahead, allowing him the opportunity to prove himself as ECW World Champion. While Heyman initially looked reluctant, clearly realising that the ECW World Championship would be in danger, Bálor explained that he needed to beat Ambrose if he is to fly the flag for ECW going forward, and vowed to do his damnedest to make sure The Lunatic Fringe doesn't leave with the gold. After some though, Paul Heyman agreed to retract his decision and instead made it official that Finn Bálor will indeed defend the ECW World Championship against Dean Ambrose at the next One Night Stand event. Not only that, but Heyman revealed that tonight, Bálor would team up with Rob Van Dam to take on Dean Ambrose and a partner of his choosing tonight, assuming that The Lunatic Fringe has any friends left. Pete Dunne def. Rusev to retain the ECW Television Championship Continuing his reign as a fighting Champion, The Bruiserweight once again stepped into a title defence, this time against The Bulgarian Brute, Rusev. The former United States Champion was looking to add some more gold to his resume as he went toe-to-toe with Pete Dunne, all the while Aiden English and his wife, Lana were watching on at ringside. The big man came close to capturing the title when he applied The Accolade to his opponent, but Dunne's determination allowed him to escape the hold and transform it into a Bitter End to put Rusev away. The Bruiserweight once again retains his ECW Television Championship and stands tall on ECW to the delight of the ECW faithful. Who will be next to step up to the plate and challenge Dunne for his championship gold? Rhyno def. Tye Dillinger We're fairly certain that Tye Dillinger wouldn't give this match a "Perfect 10". The Man Beast was not playing around when he entered the arena tonight to go head-to-head with Dillinger, showing no mercy as he ran right through his adversary, showing his aggression and just how dangerous Rhyno can be. The former ECW World Champion not only pulled out a devastating piledriver on Dillinger, but finished him off with a sternum-splitting Gore to seal the deal. The Man Beast secured himself an impressive victory in swift fashion, showing everyone that he still has what it takes to run roughshod through The Land of Extreme. The Dudley Boyz return to brawl with The Authors of Pain The arrival of The Authors of Pain was a highly discussed topic coming out of ECW One Night Stand, and last week they demonstrated just how dominant they are in competition as they dismantled The Ascension. This week, the pair along with their manager, Drake Maverick headed to the ring and issued a statement to the entire ECW locker room, with Maverick declaring a takeover of the ECW tag team division. He showed off a replay of what took place at One Night Stand when Akam and Rezar brutally attacked The Dudley Boyz following their ECW Tag Team Championship victory, and explained that it was just a small preview of things to come. But before Maverick could run his mouth any longer, Team 3-D arrived ready to get some revenge on their attackers. Maverick quickly scarpered out of harms way as Bubba Ray and D-Von entered through the ropes and engaged in an all-out brawl with The Authors of Pain. Security and officials rushed to ringside to separate the two teams with great struggle, leaving it only to the imagination over who would have come out on top. Will we see these two teams collide in the near future? Eric Young def. Kassius Ohno As Bray Wyatt watched on like a proud father with the rest of The Family, Eric Young was able to score a huge victory over Kassius Ohno tonight on ECW. The Merchant of Mayhem put on an impressive display before the members of his Family and was able to avoid a KO Elbow from The Knockout Artist, delivering his own killing blow in the form of a wheelbarrow neckbreaker. As Eric Young stood victorious in the ring, The Eater of Worlds joined him and grabbed his head with both hands, kissing him on the forehead before embracing him. The uncomfortable display concluded with Bray Wyatt dropping to his knees as Eric Young, Nikki Cross, Killian Dain and Alexander Wolfe stood behind him and he bellowed "My brothers... let me in!", followed by a terrifying display of lights flickering and screams heard through the arena, all alongside the sadistic chuckle of Wyatt himself. Our advice for the rest of ECW? Run. Shayna Baszler def. Ruby Riott; Bianca Belair steps up to confront The Queen of Spades After turning on her tag team partners after last week's Eight-Woman Tag Team bout, Shayna had made yet another enemy in The Riott Squad. Ruby Riott took to the ring to try and get some payback on The Queen of Spades for her assault, but she ultimately fell victim to the same as her ally, Liv Morgan - the Kirifuda Clutch. Baszler applied the hold and forced Riott into submission, claiming yet another win in The Land of Extreme. But as Baszler stood tall seemingly untouchable, she was surprisingly interrupted by the sound of a familiar theme, that of Bianca Belair. The EST of ECW made her way to the ring and stood face-to-face with Shayna Baszler, showing no signs of intimidation. Having been absent for many weeks while Baszler had been on her rampage, could we now see Belair step up to the plate and be the one to put The Queen of Spades in her place? Only time will tell, but Bianca Belair certainly is not backing down to anyone. Kevin Owens def. No Way Jose after No Way interrupted Owens' disrespectful tirade It seems that Kevin Owens has never been prouder than when he brutally beat his former best friend into a bloody mess at ECW One Night Stand. Last week, The Prizefighter made it clear that he had no regrets about what he did to Sami Zayn, even going as far as to say he enjoyed every second of it (even including the powerbomb through a flaming table). And apparently, Owens isn't going to let us forget his heinous actions anytime soon, once again heading to the ring to declare himself "the better man" and gloat about potentially ending Zayn's career. But one extremist in particular had heard enough, and that man was No Way Jose. The Dominican Dancing Machine wasn't quite as jovial tonight, emerging in camo pants and with a serious expression, directly addressing KO. No Way advised Owens to stop running his mouth and fight, explaining that his actions at One Night Stand were despicable, and someone needed to stand up for Sami Zayn and teach Owens a lesson. Initially, Owens couldn't contain his laughter, bursting into hysterics before challenging No Way to a one-on-one contest. But he may have regretted his decision when No Way stepped through the ropes and took Owens to the very limit, coming close to defeating the former World Champion on more than one occasion. Ultimately, KO was able to drop his opponent with a Package Piledriver to secure the victory, but it wasn't without struggle. Owens quickly left ringside, clutching his head and realising he may have underestimated No Way Jose's ability. Tonight, No Way Jose proved his worth as an extremist, and some may even say that Owens got lucky. The Hardy Boyz def. The Colóns First it was WWE Raw, and now it's ECW. The Hardy Boyz made a shock arrival in The Land of Extreme, working as a unit once again just days after competing in the main event of WWE Raw as per order of Mr. McMahon. The iconic team entered the arena to a deafening reaction, ready to take on The Colóns under the ECW banner. Much like their WWE Raw appearance, the pair showed no signs of ring rust as a tag team and worked their magic enough to defeat Primo and Epico with the classic Twist of Fate and Swantomn Bomb combination. The former Tag Team Champions stood tall in celebration and embraced as they basked in the reaction from the ECW faithful. But where will they end up next? Are they here in ECW to stay? Will we see them on WWE Raw again? Are the pair headed for WCW Nitro next? Who knows?! Lars Sullivan def. Goldust The Freak strikes again. The monstrous Lars Sullivan took to the ring after a dominating display against Kassius Ohno last week, clearly still furious at his loss to Pete Dunne at ECW One Night Stand. The big man once again showed off his power against the ring veteran, throwing him around like a rag doll for the majority of the match. The former Intercontinental Champion struggled to fight back, proving that even his experience advantage wasn't enough to combat the brute strength of Sullivan. The Freak put an end to the contest with the Freak Accident, defeating the legend fair and square. After the match, Sullivan's adviser, Drew Gulak spoke on the microphone and once again warned the entire ECW locker room that The Freak had been let loose, and nobody is safe. He then sent a direct message to Paul Heyman, claiming that Lars Sullivan will not stop until he gets what is rightfully his. Dean Ambrose & Tommaso Ciampa def. ECW World Champion Finn Bálor & Rob Van Dam Dean Ambrose is a man without many friends, perhaps none at all, but he did manage to find himself a tag team partner for tonight's main event, and it was someone just as deranged as he is - Tommaso Ciampa. The Psycho Killer joined forces with The Lunatic Fringe in order to get his hands on the man who eliminated him from the Extreme Open Battle Royal at One Night Stand, Rob Van Dam. This nightmarish union seemed to work well as they held their own against the ECW World Champion and RVD. Bálor and Van Dam did battle back though, and almost scored the victory after RVD hit a Coup de Grace on Ciampa, only for Ambrose to break up the count. Dragging Bálor to the outside, Ambrose planted him on the arena floor with a sickening Dirty Deeds, laying him out cold. Meanwhile, as RVD attempted to capitalise on Ciampa's condition, he was taken by surprise with a low blow from The Psycho Killer, who then drove his opponent into his knees with the Project Ciampa and hooked the leg for the win. The Lunatic Fringe slid back into the ring and celebrated together with Ciampa, forming what appears to be an unholy alliance if anything else. Having dismantled both Rob Van Dam and the ECW World Champion, Finn Bálor, this pair could be unstoppable.

"Glorious" Robert Roode def. Apollo Crews (Kickoff Match) After a heated confrontation during the early moments of tonight's WWE No Mercy Kickoff Show, this impromptu match was created pitting both Robert Roode and Apollo Crews against each other for the third time in four weeks, with both men at one win a piece. After Crews arguably upset the former Intercontinental Champion two weeks ago on WWE Raw, The Glorious One was out for retribution, and he achieved just that in typical fashion. Roode took early control of the match, only for Apollo to bounce back with some innovative offence. As the impressive superstar inched in on a victory, he attempted a Frog Splash from the top rope, only to be met with the knees of his adversary. Roode took advantage and rolled Crews into a small package, but even then he was able to kick out and escape the pinfall. However, The Glorious One decided enough was enough and hoisted his opponent up before driving him back into the mat with a Glorious DDT to secure the victory. Crews put up one hell of a fight, but tonight Robert Roode walked out as the better man. And that is truly "glorious". The Miz def. Tyler Bate to retain the Intercontinental Championship The title dreams of Tyler Bate were dashed prematurely thanks to Triple H's intervention, and left Bate deflated after holding the Intercontinental Championship just two weeks. Tonight was his chance to make up for that and defeat The Miz in their official rematch for the gold. The British superstar came to the ring with the full support of the WWE Universe, quite the opposite of The A-Lister who emerged to overwhelming boos alongside his wife, Maryse. The power couple strutted to the ring and Miz eventually came face-to-face with his challenger in the opening contest of tonight's pay-per-view. Right out of the gate, The Miz disrespected his adversary, slapping him around as if he were a child, maintaining control of the bout with a very smug attitude. But The Miz may have taken his antics a step too far as he found himself on the receiving end of an enraged attack from the former Champion, battling back and taking the control that he desperately needed. Showing off his athleticism, Bate flew through the air with a corkscrew plancha to take down The A-Lister and continued his offence until he was able to deliver a shock Tyler Driver out of nowhere! The Miz somehow kicked out at two though, leaving Bate in disbelief. As the number one contender looked to measure Miz for another big move, Maryse stepped in, screeching at Tyler Bate and drawing his attention away from her husband. Bate sought advice from the official who had a strong word with the former Diva's Champion, but the distraction had worked to a tee, allowing The Miz to not only deliver a low blow to his challenger, but follow it up with a Skull-Crushing Finale and securing the victory, stealing it from Bate's clutches once again. The A-List couple celebrated together in the ring to the dismay of the WWE Universe as the official tended to Bate who slowly recovered with a look of heartbreak on his face. The Miz and Maryse left ringside with The French Phenom blowing a condescending kiss to her husband's fallen foe, rubbing salt in the wound. Tyler Bate's dreams had been shattered, and all because behind a "great man" is always a "great woman". Braun Strowman def. Kane A battle of the titans WWE-style. After Braun Strowman continued to demand better competition from the WWE Raw locker room, he was eventually greeted by a returning Big Red Monster, Kane. The Devil's Favourite Demon emerged to confront The Monster Among Men just two weeks ago on Raw, and mad it clear that he was the "competition" that Strowman had requested. While neither had come to blows before tonight, they did have some healthy competition in the form of one-upsmanship last week as the pair destroyed Jason Jordan and Shelton Benjamin. Tonight, the monsters clashed and it was a wonder that the ring didn't implode with the sheer mass that it held. Early on, Strowman unleashed his usual offence, overpowering even the former World Champion, crushing him with avalanche splashes in the corner and showing off his brute force. However, you can never count a good Demon down as Kane battled back and took the fight to the outside where he used the surroundings to inflict more punishment on his adversary. The Monster Among Men soon responded in kind, regaining control by throwing Kane head-first into the steel steps. With the match now in his hands, he attempted to deliver his signature running powerslam to his monstrous opponent, only to have Kane slip out of the move and instead deliver a titanic Chokeslam. Somehow, Strowman was able to kick out and the match continued, but when Kane decided to attempt the infamous Tombstone Piledriver, Braun Strowman tipped the scales and instead hoisted Kane onto his shoulder to deliver a thunderous powerslam which sealed the deal. The Monster Among Men stood over his fallen foe with a bellowing shout, showing off his dominance. If Kane could not stop this man-mountain, who can? The New Day win Tag Team Turmoil to become the new WWE Tag Team Champions Six teams. Only one can win. And the luck of the draw was certainly not in the favour of the reigning Champions, The Revival who drew the unfortunate #1. Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder entered the bout first with the mountainous task of defeating five other teams ahead of them if they wanted to retain their WWE Tag Team Championships. To start with, the pair put on a brilliant effort, putting away their first challenge of Breezango, defeating the pair with a Shatter Machine on Fandango. Next up would be The Street Profits who exploded out of the starting gate with a flurry of offence, causing the Champions to retreat. However, once they had a moment to reassess the situation and concoct a plan, a slight bending of the rules allowed Dash and Dawson to isolate Montez Ford and with the referee oblivious, Wilder utilised the ring ropes to steal a victroy from the young, up and coming duo. Pleased with their progress, The Revival taunted the WWE Universe, until they were quickly reminded that they had yet another challenge awaiting them. Heavy Machinery hit the ring and gave the WWE Tag Team Champions a fight to remember, and somehow they were able to put them away with a Trash Compactor, picking up their biggest victory yet by eliminating The Revival and guaranteeing brand new WWE Tag Team Champions! Otis and Tucker had little time to celebrate though as The Usos made their way to the ring and stood face-to-face with their adversaries. Engaging in battle, the two teams gave it their all to advance to the next match, but it was the veteran Usos that were able to score the win, hitting Tucker with a huge tandem superkick and following it up with an Uso Splash. And the final match was upon us as The New Day were the last team to enter, treating us to the always-epic encounter between The New Day and The Usos. The two teams shared a tense staredown to the delight of the WWE Universe before shaking hands and kicking things off. Back and forth the two teams went, as they are seemingly destined to do forever, and there was no clear advantage for either. That was until Jimmy Uso took his eye off the ball briefly to take down Xavier Woods on the outside who had stirred up some conflict with Jey Uso. The New Day were able to isolate Jey and deliver a Midnight Hour, securing the victory and capturing the WWE Tag Team Championships. Woods regrouped and grabbed the titles from ringside, handing them over to his allies with pride. The trio celebrated with the WWE Universe roaring behind them as The Usos retreated up the aisle with smirks, showing their respect for their opponents. It's a New Day, yes it is! Baron Corbin def. John Cena Since returning to in-ring action, Baron Corbin has made it his clear goal to destroy and eliminate John Cena, believing his time to be over, and wanting to usher in the era of The Lone Wolf. Of course, the 16-time World Champion is never one to back down from a challenge, and has always welcomed the efforts of anyone who wants to take him off his perch as the measuring post of the WWE. This was no different as he was more than happy to give Corbin the opportunity to do what he set out to do, but he wasn't about to sit back and let it happen. He was going to have to fight for the right to stand over the iconic John Cena. The match quickly became physical as the hard-hitters traded blows, The Lone Wolf taking control early and surprisingly overpowering The Cenation Leader, keeping him grounded with his powerful offence, even planting Cena with a huge Deep Six and following it up with the cover, only for Cena to kick out at two. In his frustration, Corbin may have lost focus which allowed the former World Champion to initiate a comeback and gain a second wind to the delight of the WWE Universe. Shot after shot, Cena battled back, taking Corbin down with his signature shoulder tackles, followed by a Five-Knuckle Shuffle. But as Cena measured his adversary for the Attitude Adjustment, The Lone Wolf used his wit to grab the official and pull him into harms way, forcing Cena to halt his offence. With a short moment to regain his composure, Corbin went back on the offensive, only to be hoisted onto Cena's shoulders anyway. However, having had a moment to catch his breath, he was able to slip out of the move and instead deliver a thunderous End of Days to the 16-time World Champion! And with a three count, The Lone Wolf was declared the victor, having defeated perhaps is most challenging foe yet, scoring a huge win over the sure-fire future Hall of Famer. With a look of disappointment on his face, Cena looked around the WWE Universe as Corbin left the ringside area in celebration. The WWE Universe were in disbelief, but perhaps not as much as John Cena himself. Seemingly deflated by the result, Cena left the ring, leaving everyone wondering what's next for The Cenation Leader? Mike Kanellis survives the 15-Minute Open Challenge to become the first WWE Hardcore Champion Talk about chaos. Mr. McMahon himself made the journey to WWE No Mercy and carried with him the revived Hardcore Championship. The Chairman stood before the WWE Universe, asking if they were enjoying the night so far, before officially kicking off the battle to find the first Hardcore Champion of the New Era. A parade of superstars flooded from the backstage area and immediately began brawl for the right to call themselves the inaugural holder of the chaotic title. From Heath Slater to Shelton Benjamin, Curt Hawkins to Gentleman Jack Gallgher, there were superstars galore. Even Apollo Crews and Robert Roode who had already took part in the Kickoff show were vying for the unique opportunity as the clock began to count down for 15 minutes. Scrambling for the first pinfall, all the superstars were throwing everything they had at each other, using whatever they could get their hands on as a weapon. In a shock moment, Gentleman Jack became the very first person to score the pinfall, being crowned the first interim Champion of the match, but there was a long way to go yet. The British competitor was quickly stripped of his glory by The Glorious One himself who pulled Gallagher to the outside and dropped him with a Glorious DDT to secure a win of his own. But his reign was also cut short by his recent rival, Apollo Crews who flew through the air from the top rope, taking Roode down with a huge clothesline and picking up a three count for his troubles. The ring began to clear somewhat as the superstars became exhausted and Crews looked to be closing in on a victory. However, in a shocking turn of events, a returning Nia Jax stepped through the ropes and stood face-to-face with the current interim title holder. Confused, Apollo tried to reason with Jax to leave the ring, only to be hoisted into the air and planted with a Samoan Drop! Jax unbelievably hooked the leg and secured herself the win, becoming the first female interim Champion. She dispatched the next two superstars who challenged her, crushing Curt Hawkins with a big boot, and throwing Gentleman Jack clear of the ropes into a sea of superstars on the outside. Suddenly, Maria Kanellis emerged at ringside and began talking trash to The Irresistible Force, but Jax was having none of it and went to reach through the ropes to get a hold of the former Women's Champion. However, as she did so, Mike Kanellis came out of nowhere and delivered a horrifying steel chair shot to the back of Nia Jax's skull, flooring the interim Champion at his feet. As the clock began to creep closer to zero, Kanellis hooked the leg and scored a three count, capturing the Hardcore Championship and with only five seconds remaining, raised his hands into the air as the final bell rang. Mike Kanellis had survived the match and walked out of WWE No Mercy as the WWE Hardcore Champion. His disgusting display of violence towards Nia Jax left him on the bad side of the WWE Universe, but Maria could not praise her husband enough. The loved-up couple left ringside with Kanellis clutching the Hardcore Championship, having secured its possession, however dastardly his actions may have been. Becky Lynch def. Ronda Rousey to retain the Women's World Championship The story of Becky Lynch's title reign has been filled with success after success, fending off the toughest of challenges since capturing the gold in the Women's Royal Rumble Match earlier this year. Across all three brands, The Man had overcome all the odds, but this was to be her toughest task yet. Ronda Rousey led Lynch into a false sense of security, showing an dishonest amount of support for the Women's World Champion during her battle with ECW's Shayna Baszler, and when the opportunity arose, showed her true colours, becoming the number one contender and viciously assaulting her former "friend". The pair came face-to-face tonight at WWE No Mercy to settle the score, and despite the flood of support from the WWE Universe, Becky Lynch was struggling to match the intensity and aggression of The Rowdy One. Rousey initiated the attack to kick things off, unleashing a merciless flurry of shots, giving Lynch no room to breathe. The Women's World Champion fought back, giving Rousey a run for her money and refusing to stay down, trying her hardest to drag the number one contender down for the Dis-Arm-Her on several occasions. As the fight continued, the pair ended up brawling on the top rope, only for The Man to send her challenger crashing to the canvas and deliver a high-impact diving leg drop which allowed Becky to hook the leg, but only receive a two count. Hoping to put an end to the bout and retain her title, Becky once again attempted to apply the Dis-Arm-Her, but instead found herself pulled to the canvas and locked into a crippling armbar, Rousey wrenching away at The Man. The Women's World Champion held on as long as she could, refusing to submit and after what seemed like a lifetime, somehow The Man was able to roll out of the hold and gain some separation. As Rousey once again went on the offensive, Becky used her surroundings to her advantage, sending Rousey into the ring post and following it up with a brand new move - a pumphandle uranage that has been dubbed The Mandhandle Slam. Hooking the leg, she scored a huge pinfall victory, finally putting The Rowdy One away. Once again, The Man had overcome the odds and walked out with her title still intact. Ronda Rousey looked on in a fit of rage as Becky celebrated with the WWE Universe on the outside. Becky Lynch has undoubtedly surpassed all expectations, and is leading the charge for the next stage of the women's evolution. Triple H def. Stone Cold Steve Austin to take control of WWE Raw It's almost as if these two men are destined to be at war forever. Almost two decades since their last encounter, Triple H and Stone Cold Steve Austin square off again, this time for control of WWE Raw. Mr. McMahon has become fed up with the ongoing squabble between these two legendary competitors over who had true control of the red brand, and set out to find the true captain of the ship. For the first time since WrestleMania XIX, The Texas Rattlesnake stepped through the ropes and donned the leather vest and the knee braces for one final battle with The Game. As soon as the opening bell sounded, Austin made sure he let Triple H know exactly how he felt with a signature flip of the bird. An enraged Triple H went on the attack, only to fall victim to an infamous beatdown from the Hall of Famer. As good ol' JR would say, he was stomping a mudhole in him and walking it dry! Stone Cold unleashed a Texas-sized ass-whooping on his adversary, taking the WWE Universe back in time to when he handed them out left, right and center. As Austin unloaded on The Game, he was able to deliver his signature elbow drop to the delight of the crowd, but Triple H soon found an opening to battle back, bending the rules slightly to his advantage with a rake of the eyes. He took the fight to the outside and sent Austin crashing into the barricade before returning to the ring and taking his opportunity to deliver a thunderous Pedigree! Somehow, the Hall of Famer was able to kick out, showing that he had just as much fight in him as he always has before. This infuriated HHH who decided to go for a second Pedigree, but found himself on the receiving end of a Lou Thesz Press, and moments later suffered the effects of a Stone Cold Stunner! Austin hooked the leg, hoping to seal the deal, but it was The Cerebral Assassin's turn to shock the world and kick out at two. The Texas Rattlesnake measured his opponent for yet another Stunner, but it was then that his world was turned upside down... The Animal, Batista emerged out of nowhere to the shock of the WWE Universe, hopping onto the apron and throwing verbal barbs towards Stone Cold. The official was quick to rush to the scene and get Batista away from ringside, but this appeared to be all part of the master plan. With the official distracted, Stone Cold was taken by surprise and dropped to the canvas with an RKO outta nowhere! The Viper had struck and dropped the Hall of Famer with his patented three-letter finisher. Quickly rolling under the ropes, Orton hid in the timekeeper's corner as Triple H crawled into the cover, hooking the leg, and it was then that the official counted the three, handing The Game the victory. The WWE Universe were horrified as Triple H, Randy Orton and Batista stood side-by-side, initiating what can only be assumed as an Evolution reunion. The three former World Champions stood united with sinister grins on their faces, knowing that The King of Kings now holds all the cards and is in full control of WWE Raw. What does this mean for the brand? Kurt Angle def. Bobby Lashley The Olympic Hero had been itching to get his hands on Bobby Lashley for weeks, ever since The All Mighty seemed to take issue with the Hall of Famer, claiming to be the "best pure athlete" on the roster. After weeks of avoiding his grasp, Lashley finally agreed to take on the former World Champion one-on-one tonight at WWE No Mercy. Accompanied by his adviser, Lio Rush, the powerhouse made his way to the ring and awaited the arrival of his legendary opponent. Kurt Angle emerged, joined by his protoge of late, Chad Gable and had the WWE Universe on their feet. As the pair squared off, it was clear that Angle had been working hard to prepare for this intense bout. The All Mighty took control of the match early on, using his power advantage to throw Angle around the ring and maintain dominance over his adversary. Driving his shoulder into the gut of Angle in the corner, followed by an impressive standing belly-to-belly. The attack continued as Lashley took Angle to the top rope and drove him into the canvas with a bone-shaking superplex. Things were looking bleak for The Olympic Hero as Lashley hoisted him up for a Dominator, looking to end it there and then. But the wily Angle slipped out of the move and instead delivered his signature Angle Slam! The WWE Universe erupted as Angle fought back with one of the biggest weapons in his artillery. Lio Rush sensed there was trouble ahead and climbed onto the apron, trying to get involved in the match to save his ally's skin, but Chad Gable saw to it that The Man of the Hour was kept at bay, pulling him from the apron and delivering a huge straight jacket German suplex onto the arena floor. Taking advantage of the situation, Angle applied the Ankle Lock to The ALl Mighty and locked it in good, applying the grapevine as well for added pressure. Lashley had no alternative but to submit, handing the Hall of Famer a victory in front of an ecstatic crowd. Kurt Angle and Chad Gable stood in celebration, Gable applauding Angle from a distance, allowing him to bask in his glory. The Wrestling Machine has still got a lot left in the tank, and Bobby Lashley just found that out first hand. Oh it's true. Daniel Bryan def. Roman Reigns & Brock Lesnar to retain the WWE World Championship The time for the main event had arrived. Daniel Bryan had his toughest challenge yet as he had not one, but two contenders to defend his WWE World Championship against. One being Roman Reigns, the other being Brock Lesnar. No easy task to say the least. All three men made their way to the ring and prepared for the opening bell, and as soon as it sounded, The Beast Incarnate struck. Laying waste to his two opponents, Lesnar started throwing bodies around like it was going out of fashion, alternating between the two with German suplex after German suplex, even starting a "Suplex City!" chant from the jam-packed crowd. As he maintained complete control, he delivered a final suplex to The Planet's Champion, before being met with a determined and focused Reigns. The Big Dog returned to the ring and delivered a thunderous Spear to The Beast, grounding him momentarily. But Lesnar rolled out of the ring and still remained on his feet. Refusing to stop until he had taken his rival out, Reigns launched himself over the top rope with an unbelievable plancha, taking down his fellow contender to chants of "Holy crap!" from the WWE Universe. And it didn't end there. The former World Champion waited for Lesnar to get to his feet one last time and delivered what he believed was the killing blow, driving The Beast through the barricade with yet another Spear, leaving him in a heap amidst the crowd in attendance. Having seemingly dispatched of the monstrous competitor, he turned his attention back to the ring and Daniel Bryan. The WWE World Champion was ready, however, having being allowed a breather and nailed Reigns with a trio of dropkicks in the corner before applying his signature LeBelle Lock, hoping to make The Big Dog submit. It almost seemed as though Reigns was about to tap, but garnering a second wind from somewhere allowed him to escape the hold and strike with a Superman Punch, laying out the Champion. Moments later, he crouched in the corner and measured for a Spear, but his efforts were thwarted as shockingly Brock Lesnar had returned to the action and hoisted The Big Dog into the air before driving him back down with an F-5! We were moments away from The Beast becoming the new WWE World Champion, that was until Daniel Bryan emerged from out of nowhere and hit his signature running knee, sending Brock Lesnar through the ropes and down to the arena floor. Quickly scampering into a cover, Bryan capitalised on the F-5 delivered to Roman Reigns and hooked the leg, securing the three count and the victory. The Planet's Champion had done the unthinkable and outlasted both his contenders, stealing the win right from underneath Lesnar's nose. The reign of terror continues.

Triple H and Evolution take control of WWE Raw and attack Mr. McMahon in heinous assault The battle for control is over. Thanks to the help of his former allies, Batista and Randy Orton, The Game successfully defeated Stone Cold Steve Austin and secured himself complete control over the WWE Raw brand, much to the dismay of the WWE Universe. The newly reunited Evolution kicked off tonight's episode as The King of Kings officially declared this the start of a new era within the New Era, claiming that Stone Cold had no idea what was "best for business". He admitted that he knows the WWE Universe were hoping for a different result... but he doesn't give a damn. Triple H made it very clear that WWE Raw belongs to him, and under his watch, things are going to change. But before The Game could continue, he was interrupted by Mr. McMahon! The Chairman confronted the three former World Champions and expressed his anger that Triple H had heated to gain control of WWE Raw, claiming that this was supposed to be a fair fight. Randy Orton stepped in to confront the Chairman, telling him that this is Evolution's show now, and he's standing in the wrong ring. Infuriated at Orton's disrespect, McMahon went on a tirade and was moments away from uttering the two words that had become synonymous with him, when suddenly he was brutally attacked from behind by Batista! As the owner of the WWE struggled to his feet, he was grabbed by Triple H who delivered a thunderous Pedigree to a horror of the WWE Universe. Security and officials quickly rushed to the aid of the Chairman. What have they done? If this is their first night in control, what does the future hold for WWE Raw? Women's World Champion Becky Lynch, Sasha Banks & Bayley def. Alexa Bliss, Mandy Rose & Sonya Deville After successfully retaining her Women's World Championship against the dangerous Ronda Rousey this past Sunday at WWE No Mercy, The Man found herself without a chance to recover as she was thrust into the opening bout of tonight's episode of Raw, joining forces with two of her three former Four Horsewomen, competing in a Six-Woman Tag Team match against Alexa Bliss, Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville. She still had some fight in her, being able to win the match for her team with a Mandhandle Slam on Mandy Rose, but moments after the closing bell, Becky found herself staring off with someone she probably hadn't expected - Sasha Banks. The Boss showed a very keen interest in her friend's Championship, and even made a motion towards her, suggesting that she intended to take it. Bayley stepped between the two to defuse the situation, but has Sasha just laid out her intentions? Friend or not, the Women's World Championship means everything to these women. Roman Reigns stands up to Triple H and finds himself in tonight's main event The disgusting display by Evolution at the start of the show didn't sit well with many members of the WWE locker room, as you an imagine. Many gave the trio dirty looks as they returned backstage, but one superstar refused to stand by idly and let it happen. The Big Dog emerged to the delight of the WWE Universe and made it known that he didn't appreciate Evolution's actions, calling it a "power trip". The Game laughed and informed Reigns that he wasn't interested in anybody's opinion, because WWE Raw belongs to them. And for speaking up, Reigns found himself placed into tonight's main event against Evolution's own, Randy Orton. Cesaro def. Intercontinental Champion The Miz The Miz's mouth once again lands him in trouble. As the Intercontinental Champion came to the ring with his wife, Maryse to tell the entire WWE Universe that he is undisputedly the greatest Intercontinental Champion of all time, he may have made the mistake of issuing an open challenge to prove his worth. However, what he probably didn't expect was to have that challenge answered by none other than Cesaro. Formerly a member of the WCW Nitro roster, The Swiss Superman had seemingly made the jump to the red brand and answered The Miz's bold challenge to make a name for himself. And sure enough he did just that, possibly taking advantage of the shock factor, but still impressive nonetheless, defeating The A-Lister with a Neutraliser, scoring a huge pinfall victory over the Intercontinental Champion. Cesaro certainly put his name in the hat for a future shot, and made The Miz regret his most recent decision. Braun Strowman def. Bobby Lashley Finally, Kurt Angle was able to get his hands on Bobby Lashley at WWE No Mercy, and defeat him to payback all the disrespect these last few weeks. And Lashley's run of tough luck didn't end last night, but continued through to Raw as he was faced with a mountainous task - defeating Braun Strowman. Even The All Mighty could not overpower The Monster Among Men and fell victim to the same running powerslam that had put away Kane just 24 hours earlier. With the big man still on his path of destruction and becoming somewhat of a favourite of the WWE Universe, Bobby Lashley was left with yet another loss. The former United States Champion appeared to take his frustrations out on his adviser, Lio Rush, shrugging off The Man of the Hour and storming up the aisle without him. The Hardy Boyz def. The Revival after The New Day's title celebration is interrupted It's a new day, yes it is! The New Day made their way to the ring to celebrate their victory in the Tag Team Turmoil Match at WWE No Mercy, capturing the WWE Tag Team Championship as a result. The positive trio shared their glory with the WWE Universe, but were quick to state that they are eager for their next challenge, promising to be fighting Champions. No sooner had the words left Xavier Woods' mouth had the theme of The Hardy Boyz began to play. The iconic duo made their entrance to a roaring ovation and came face-to-face with an equally excited New Day. Team Xtreme extended their congratulations to the new Champions and expressed their desire to be the first team to challenge them. However, their challenge was soon interrupted by the arrival of the former Champions, The Revival. Claiming that they were wrongly made to defend their title by Mr. McMahon - citing his beating earlier in the night "well deserved" - they explained that they are owed a rematch. But The Hardyz were not just going to step aside, and instead challenged Dash and Dawson to put their money where their mouth is in a match right now. The Top Guys accepted and this led to an impromptu bout that saw Matt and Jeff secure a huge victory and send The Revival packing with their tail between their legs. The New Day watched on and applauded the legendary brothers, perhaps suggesting that we will indeed see The Hardy Boyz and The New Day collide in the near future. Baron Corbin interrupts Kurt Angle's interview, leading to a confrontation with Chad Gable The Olympic Hero returned to his former glory at WWE No Mercy with his win over Bobby Lashley, and he was happy to talk about it alongside his protege, Chad Gable in a backstage interview. But as the Hall of Famer was just getting into the swing of things, he was interrupted by Baron Corbin to thunderous boos from the WWE Universe. The Lone Wolf laughed as he claimed Kurt Angle was just another "washed up hasbeen", much like John Cena whom he had defeated last night. He declared that he could put Angle down, just like he did with John Cena. But before Angle could step up and retaliate, Chad Gable stepped in front and got in the face of the former United States Champion. Defending his mentor's honour, Gable told Corbin that he would have to go through him first. Corbin chuckled and shrugged off the challenge initially. That was until Chad Gable slapped him across the face, declaring "I'll see you in the ring in two minutes"! Kurt Angle smiled as he and Gable left the scene, Corbin turning red with rage. Did Chad Gable just make a huge mistake? Baron Corbin def. Chad Gable Standing up for your mentor's honour is one thing. Slapping Baron Corbin across the face is another. As admirable as Chad Gable's actions were, they only enhanced the beating he received at the hands of The Lone Wolf. As the pair made it out to the ring, Kurt Angle had no option but to watch from ringside as his protege was manhandled by the vicious competitor. Corbin dismantled the young superstar, showing an unhealthy amount of aggression as he laid into his adversary. Finally, Corbin finished the match off with a vicious End of Days to seal the deal. But even after the bell had rung, Corbin continued to pound away at Gable's skull, forcing Angle to intervene. The Olympic Hero entered the ring and wrestled The Lone Wolf away, throwing him through the ropes and out of the ring. Tending to his fallen friend, Angle looked on in anger as Baron Corbin retreated up the aisle, beginning to smirk as he did. If Chad Gable learned anything tonight, it's not to cross Baron Corbin, no matter what. WWE World Champion Daniel Bryan def. Tyler Bate; Bryan's next challenger will be decided next week At WWE No Mercy, Daniel Bryan pulled off a victory over two of the top competitors in WWE history, Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns. Albeit, he did arguably steal the victory from The Beast himself, capitalising on an F-5 delivered to The Big Dog at the opportune moment. But The Planet's Champion didn't care, and certainly didn't care what the WWE Universe thought about it. Tonight, the WWE World Champion made his way to the ring for a very special contest, taking on the former number one contender for the Intercontinental Championship, Tyler Bate. The upcoming superstar looked to impress in non-title action against the veteran Bryan, and put on an incredible display in front of the jam-packed crowd, taking even Bryan by surprise. Holding his own against the technical superstar, Bate impressed many of his peers, but ultimately it was Daniel Bryan who walked away victorious, much to the dismay of the WWE Universe. As Bate looked to be closing in on an upset victory, Bryan decided to bend the rules and distract the official by removing one of the turnbuckle pads, only to deliver a low blow between the legs of his adversary. A highly competitive match, ruined by Bryan's disrespectful behaviour. The WWE World Champion pulled his opponent to the ground and applied the LeBelle Lock, forcing Tyler Bate to submit. The Planet's Champion stood tall with a smug grin on his face as the official tended to Bate on the canvas. Michael Cole informed us that next week, Daniel Bryan's next challenger for the WWE World Championship will be decided. Who will be next in line for a shot at the prestigious gold? Mike Kanellis def. Apollo Crews & Robert Roode to retain the Hardcore Championship; Nia Jax is out for revenge She's not like most girls, that's for sure. Mike Kanellis may have crossed the wrong woman at WWE No Mercy when he decided to club Nia Jax over the back of the skull with a steel chair to capture the Hardcore Championship in the 15-Minute Open Challenge. Tonight, The Prodigy defended his newly minted title against two superstar who also took part last night, Apollo Crews and Robert Roode who are having some issues of their own with each other. The pair did most of the battling, wanting to get one-up on the other. Kanellis capitalised on this when Crews drove The Glorious One through a table with his Frog Splash, allowing the Hardcore Champion to sneak in, dispose of Crews and steal the cover. But Kanellis' night wasn't over just yet, as his actions came back to haunt him. The Irresistible Force emerged and stomped towards the ring to get her hands on the man who took the Hardcore Championship. Fleeing with his wife, Maria Kanellis by his side, The Prodigy quickly scarpered up the aisle as Nia Jax stood in the ring, beckoning the Hardcore Champion to stand face-to-face with her. Refusing to do so, The Kanellises retreated, and Jax was left without her revenge. Will she get her hands on Mike Kanellis eventually? Roman Reigns def. Randy Orton via disqualification; Stone Cold returns to wreak havoc on Evolution Evolution are in control, and nobody can stop them. Can they? Roman Reigns stood up to Triple H backstage and was forced into a main event collision with Randy Orton as a result. Everybody knew it wasn't going to be a regular one-on-one contest, it's Triple H after all, right? The Big Dog held his own against his old rival, refusing to back down to Evolution's authority. The Viper was able to hit an RKO on his adversary, but Reigns was able to kick out and fight back before delivering a signature move of his own, the Spear. But as he edged closer to victory, Triple H's plan unfolded and Batista struck. The Animal rushed to ringside and clubbed Reigns from behind, forcing the official to cause for a disqualification. With Batista tearing into The Big Dog, it began to look bleak and the WWE Universe made their voices heard with thunderous boos. And then... the glass shattered. The arena erupted as Stone Cold Steve Austin made his way onto the stage and down the aisle to the horror of Batista. The Texas Rattlesnake wasted no time getting down to business, ducking a clothesline from The Animal and hitting his own, sending the former World Champion over the ropes. Austin then turned his attention to The Viper who was beginning to stir, delivering a jaw-jacking Stone Cold Stunner! The Hall of Famer had snapped and the WWE Universe were going wild, The Bionic Redneck helping Roman Reigns to his feet as Triple H emerged onto the stage with a look of distress. The Game looked on, seeing Austin and Reigns united and looking extremely worried. Maybe Evolution's grip on WWE Raw isn't quite as secure as they thought. If anyone knows a thing or two about overturning corrupt authority, it's Stone Cold Steve Austin. Hell yeah!

Shane McMahon rejects Seth Rollins' claim to a WCW World Championship rematch and instead gives Dolph Ziggler the opportunity in the main event Seth Rollins' mood went from bad to worse as he opened WCW Nitro in hopes of securing his rematch for the WCW World Championship, only to be shot down by none other than the "Commissioner", Shane McMahon. The Kingslayer stood before the WCW Universe to state his claim to another opportunity after his last was crashed by Dolph Ziggler. With the fans behind him, he put forward a solid case, but when Shane McMahon emerged, he immediately shot down the request, claiming that Rollins had already had his opportunity, and it was time for other talent to take the spotlight. He explained that he had given Ric Flair the night off from his General Manager duties, and also he revealed that tonight, it would be Dolph Ziggler's chance to challenge for the WCW World Championship in the main event, news which didn't sit well with the WCW Universe, nor Seth Rollins. The Prodigal Son made it clear to The Kingslayer that he was not to get involved, giving him a stern warning. The decision was final, like it or not. Ricochet & Rey Mysterio def. United States Championship Adam Cole & Roderick Strong A dream alliance for some, Ricochet and Rey Mysterio stood side-by-side in tag team action against the United States Champion, Adam Cole and Roderick Strong of The Undisputed ERA. After Cole and Strong tried to assault The Master of the 619 last week in a 2-on-1 attack, Ricochet came to the aid of his childhood idol leading to this encounter. The two teams went back and forth, but the combined athleticism of The One and Only and the former World Champion was too much to handle even for The Undisputed ERA. Adam Cole watched on reluctantly as Roderick Strong was subject to a 619, followed shortly by a 630 Senton, putting him away and landing Ricochet and Mysterio the win. The two high-flyers stood tall and shook hands in respect as the United States Champion retreated, realising that his title may be in jeopardy. Shinsuke Nakamura def. EC3 Following his upset victory over Samoa Joe last week when Shinsuke Nakamura rolled him up into a small package, The King of Strong Style thought that had finished with The Samoan Submission Machine. He thought wrong. After Nakamura was able to defeat EC3 with a huge Kinshasa, Joe chose the opportune moment to strike, applying his Coquina Clutch and dragging the Japanese superstar to the canvas, refusing to release the hold. His eyes glazed over, as if he were possessed, wrenching away at the throat of his rival. Eventually, official were able to pry him away from Nakamura, but the damage had been done. This is far from over, and Joe just made sure that Shinsuke Nakamura was made aware. Asuka def. Lacey Evans & Naomi to advance to WCW Women's Championship Match at Spring Stampede The rumours are true - WCW Nitro will be granted its own Women's Championship, and the first will be crowned at WCW Spring Stampede. Announced earlier today via WCW.com, two triple threat bouts are scheduled for tonight's show, with the winners of each colliding at the pay-per-view event to decide the inaugural WCW Women's Champion! First to qualify for the historic contest was The Empress of Tomorrow, able to walk out of her triple threat encounter with the victory. Lacey Evans disposed of Naomi during the match with a thunderous Women's Right, but almost immediately after landing the shot, Asuka came from behind and applied the deadly Asuka Lock, forcing WCW's Lady to submit and allow Asuka to advance to the WCW Women's Championship opportunity in just under two weeks. Who will join Asuka and compete for the brand new gold at WCW Spring Stampede? Ali def. Cedric Alexander to retain the Cruiserweight Championship Cedric Alexander outlasted seven other men in a battle royal contest to earn the right to challenge for the Cruiserweight Championship, and here we are. He stood across from the reigning Champion, Ali and shook hands in a show of respect before engaging in an incredible athletic, high-flying, competitive battle. The two superstar flew all around the ring in hopes of securing the victory, and one moment almost looked as though Alexander could score the big win and capture the gold when he hit his signature Lumbar Check. But Ali was somehow able to kick out, showing off his unique determination. Ali responded and delivered an incredible Spanish Fly from the top rope, planting Alexander and picking up the victory to retain his Cruiserweight Championship. An unbelievable match between two fantastic competitors, and they showed their sportsmanship after the ring bell by shaking hands again and sharing an embrace. Ali continues his impressive reign, but who will be next to step up to the challenge? Sting returns to WCW Nitro to accept Andrade's Spring Stampede challenge Be careful what you wish for, Andrade. The self-proclaimed "Pride of Mexico" came to the ring with Zelina Vega to once again address the Hall of Famer, Sting. Last week, the pair issued a direct challenge to The Icon, suggesting that they square off at WCW Spring Stampede in order for Andrade to "put him away for good". Vega reiterated their points from last week and explained that they had no response at all from Sting, calling him a coward. But no sooner had the pair turned to leave ringside, the lights went out and the crow called, and moments later when the light returned, Sting was standing in the ring behind his challenger. Andrade realised the situation he was in and ran to attack The Icon, only to receive a baseball bat to the sternum, followed by the signature Scorpion Death Drop. As he got to his feet, the Hall of Famer reached for a microphone and simply uttered "I accept" before taking his leave. It's on, and Andrade may regret ever challenging the former World Champion when they collide in under two weeks. Elias def. AJ Styles The Phenomenal One's pursuit of The Velveteen Dream almost came to a head last week, but The Dream refused Styles' challenge, turning him down for a match and instead leaving him hanging. Angered by this, AJ Styles looked to unleash some of his frustration in the ring, and the unlucky recipient was Elias. The Sinister Songsmith suffered a beating at the hands of the former World Champion, and the WCW Universe loved every minute of it. It came down to a Styles Clash that would put Elias down for what would have undoubtedly been a three count, but it wasn't that simple. The Velveteen Dream emerged from out of nowhere and acted as a distraction for his rival, mocking The Phenomenal One at ringside. All the while, Elias was coming to and began to crawl towards his guitar in the corner. Luckily the official caught him in the act and quickly rushed over to prevent The Living Truth from utilising his weapon. However, it all seemed to be part of the plan as The Dream slid into the ring while Styles observed the commotion and delivered a sickening low blow! He quickly retreated as Styles hunched over in the center of the ring, and Elias immediately capitalised, rolling the former World Champion up and securing an upset victory. Elias quickly left up the aisle as The Velveteen Dream looked on from the ramp with a smug grin across his face. The Phenomenal One got to his feet and glared out towards his bitter rival. The Dream is in the head of AJ Styles, but it's all building up. Charlotte Flair def. Kairi Sane & Carmella to advance to WCW Women's Championship Match at Spring Stampede Asuka secured her place earlier in the night, but who will join her in the history-making bout for the WCW Women's Championship at Spring Stampede? Three more superstars collided for the opportunity and after Kairi Sane crashed and burned to the outside courtesy of Charlotte Flair who threw her from the top as she attempted her signature elbow drop, The Queen was able to capitalise on the situation. She took down Carmella and applied the Figure-Eight Leglock for a submission victory, landing herself the place opposite Asuka on pay-per-view. But as she celebrated her win, The Empress of Tomorrow would emerge and stand face-to-face with her Spring Stampede opponent. Which of these superstars will make history and walk out as the inaugural WCW Women's Champion? The War Raiders def. Bo Dallas & Curtis Axel If you look up "dominance" in the dictionary, you are sure to see an image of The War Raiders. The viking duo went into battle once again this week and displayed power like no other against the team of Bo Dallas and Curtis Axel. Hoping to send a message to the WCW Tag Team Champions, Hanson and Rowe decimated the self-proclaimed "B-Team" and finished them off with their brand new signature move, The Viking Experience. The pair celebrated their victory with the WCW Universe who continuously chanted "War! War! War!" along with them. But The Undisputed ERA were eager to make their presence felt as Kyle O'Reilly and Bobby Fish slowly strolled out onto the stage with their WCW Tag Team Championships. These two teams will collide at WCW Spring Stampede as revealed earlier in the night via WCW.com, and the Undisputed duo should be worried, because they are in for an all out war. WCW World Champion Drew McIntyre vs. Dolph Ziggler ends in a No Contest when Seth Rollins intervenes; Ric Flair arrives and makes blockbuster announcement for WCW Spring Stampede The WCW Universe were unsure who to root for, considering both men are far from fan favourites. But the competitors did not care for a reaction, instead simply wanting to get their hands on each other. The WCW World Champion, Drew McIntyre unleashed his rage on his former ally, getting revenge for the attack Ziggler struck him with two weeks ago during a title bout with Seth Rollins. But The Show-off was just as eager to get his hands on The Scottish Psychopath, wanting to claim the WCW World Championship for himself. The match initially went off without a hitch, both men hitting the other with everything they've got, but it quickly descended into chaos when all of a sudden, Seth Rollins struck with a steel chair! The Kingslayer delivered a thunderous chair shot to the skull of Drew McIntyre, followed by a sharp strike to the sternum of Dolph Ziggler. The WCW Universe erupted as Rollins swung the chair around furiously, but the mood changed when Shane McMahon emerged on the stage. The "Commissioner" immediately ordered security to apprehend Seth Rollins, reminding him of his warning earlier in the night, but it seems that Shane McMahon wasn't made aware of a small detail - Ric Flair was in the building! The Nature Boy walked out to a thunderous ovation and stood face-to-face with The Prodigal Son. Flair stamped his authority, exclaiming that WCW Nitro is his show and it was him who allowed Seth Rollins to get involved tonight because he deserves his shot at the WCW World Championship. The Hall of Famer warned Shane McMahon that he was taking control back and if it costs him his job in the long run then so be it, but he reveals that at WCW Spring Stampede, order will be restored as Seth Rollins and Dolph Ziggler will compete in a match, and the winner of that match will go onto the main event to challenge Drew McIntyre for the WCW World Championship! Ric Flair is back, and he's not taking crap from anybody. Seth Rollins looked on, nodding his head in approval as Shane McMahon scowled at the WCW General Manager.

ECW begins with a strangely ominous scene Without so much as an opening video package, ECW began with an unnerving and strange view from an unknown location. The camera slowly panned around the scene at ground level, only the sound of the wind in the trees to break the silence. Suddenly, the camera snapped to a halt and a mysterious figure walked into the scene, only his boots visible. The individual began walking forward slowly before the scene immediately cut to static. Perhaps the strangest opening ever to an episode of ECW. Who is this person? Where are they? And what relevance does it hold? Tommaso Ciampa def. Rob Van Dam Just one week after picking up a huge victory in the main event alongside Dean Ambrose, Ciampa would go head-to-head with the same superstar he pinned in that match, Rob Van Dam. The former World Champion was looking for some redemption, but he had no such luck against The Psycho Killer, falling victim to a devastating Project Ciampa which landed Tommasso with yet another pinfall victory over the ECW original. Since arriving in The Land of Extreme, Ciampa has continued to find his feet, and it seems to be only a matter of time before he climbs to the top. No Way Jose def. Rhyno Last week, No Way Jose displayed an incredible amount of pride and ability as he stood up to the dastardly Kevin Owens in support of his friend, Sami Zayn. The Dominican Dancing Machine switched on something inside of him and gave KO a run for his money, despite coming up short. The impressive display had the ECW faithful buzzing, and this week he had the opportunity to ride that momentum into a bout with former ECW World Champion, Rhyno. The Man Beast didn't care for Jose's antics and immediately went to work on his adversary with no remorse. However, as the powerhouse attempted to deliver a match-ending Gore, he was taken by surprise with a small package from nowhere which secured Jose the upset victory. Quickly escaping ringside, Jose celebrated with the ECW crowd as The Man Beast looked on in a fit of rage. Consider this No Way Jose putting the entire locker room on notice - his fancy footwork isn't just for show. More cryptic footage shows the Wyatt Compound Static took over the titantron once more and the scene from earlier seemed to appear, only in a slightly different location. As the boots of a mystery individual appeared, a familiar landmark came into view - the Wyatt Compound. Was this Bray Wyatt? Is it one of The Family? Why is somebody scouring the Wyatt premises? We want answers! The Authors of Pain & Rusev def. The Dudley Boyz & Kassius Ohno The ECW Tag Team Champions may have returned last week to get their measure of revenge on The Authors of Pain for attacking them at One Night Stand, but they were unable to secure their retribution in an official capacity as they went up against their rivals in six-man action. The Hall of Famers united with Kassius Ohno to take on AOP along with Rusev, but with the presence of not only Drake Maverick, but also Aiden English and Lana on the outside, the trio of Bubba Ray, D-Von and Kassius just couldn't combat the numbers game. The match came to a close when Akam and Rezar were able to isolate D-Von and deliver The Last Chapter for the victory. The Authors of Pain stood tall in victory as Drake Maverick raised the hands of his allies. The Dudley Boyz days as Champions may well be numbered. Bianca Belair def. Liv Morgan With the exception of the Women's World Champion, Becky Lynch, Shayna Baszler has knocked down every challenge that has come before her, leaving herself without a new challenge from the ECW locker room. That is until Bianca Belair emerged to stand face-to-face with The Queen of Spades showing no intimidation whatsoever. The EST of ECW made her retur to the ring this week, defeating Liv Morgan of The Riott Squad with the KOD. Moments after the match, she grabbed a microphone to officially challenge Shayna Baszler to a match next week, vowing to be the one to put Baszler away and prove herself as The EST of ECW. Television Champion Pete Dunne vs. Kevin Owens ends in a no contest when Sami Zayn returns Some people are destined to fight forever until one of them ceases to exist. Two of those men are Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn. The Prizefighter went into tonight's episode with the intention of defeating Pete Dunne to become the new ECW Television Champion, but his plans were foiled by a very familiar foe. The fighting Champion put on an incredible effort against KO, but was driven into the canvas with a Pop-up Powerbomb which looked to be the move to seal the deal. That was until Sami Zayn made a shocking return from his injuries sustained at Owens' hand at ECW One Night Stand. He returned with one thing in mind - tear into his former friend. The Underdog of the Underground unleashed a hellacious beating on the man who left him with second degree burns after their disturbing encounter at One Night Stand. Getting his measure of revenge, he dragged his bitter enemy all around the ringside area and refused to stop until official were forced to rush to the scene to separate the two. If such a sadistic battle like their One Night Stand bout didn't settle the score between these two, what will? Will they ever settle their differences or will one of them legitimately have to be rendered unable to stand? The mysterious footage continues as The Family's Eric Young is laid out We may not have the answers we want, but we know that this is not the act of a member of The Family. The mysterious footage once again appeared on the titantron and showed Eric Young being thrown to the floor amongst a pile of trash cans, having been clearly beaten from pillar to post beforehand. Young struggled to get to his feet, shouting "You'll never find him!" to the unknown figure, before being kicked in the skull and knocked out cold. Whoever this individual is, they are on a mission and are taking no prisoners. Lars Sullivan def. Oney Lorcan The monstrous path of destruction that Lars Sullivan has been on continued tonight as he crushed yet another adversary in Oney Lorcan. Ever since losing to Pete Dunne at ECW One Night Stand, The Freak has been unhinged, and his adviser, Drew Gulak has done nothing to help the matter. Formerly allying himself with Sullivan to "cleanse" ECW, he now simply advocates Sullivan's actions and even encourages his sadistic attacks. Sullivan put Lorcan away with the Freak Accident and after the match, Gulak explained that this would continue week after week until Sullivan is given the opportunity he deserves. Once again, he states that this will not end, and the entire locker room should definitely be concerned. Dean Ambrose refuses to sign a new ECW contract and vows to leave with the ECW World Championship next week The very future of the ECW World Championship is in jeopardy. With Dean Ambrose no longer under an official contract, but holding another contract that entitles him to an ECW World Championship opportunity regardless of his employment status, the historic title looks to be in deep water. Paul Heyman organised an official contract signing for the upcoming title bout between Ambrose and the reigning Champion, Finn Bálor, with an added clause in the contract that The Lunatic Fringe agrees to re-sign with the brand once more. However, it wasn't all that simple, as the number one contender refused to sign the deal and instead explained that his only intention is to beat Finn Bálor next week and walk away with the ECW World Championship over his shoulder. The Extraordinary Man responded by vowing to defeat Ambrose and refuse to let him tarnish the history of the title by leaving with it in his possession. Before things became physical, Ambrose surprisingly left the ring and gave the finger to Paul Heyman, Finn Bálor and even the ECW faithful. The Lunatic Fringe has no respect for anyone, and full intends to leave The Land of Extreme without a World Championship. Next week, that may become a reality. Can Finn Bálor thwart Ambrose's plans and secure the future of the ECW World Championship? Aleister Black makes shocking return and takes out Bray Wyatt in the confines of his own Compound ECW is no stranger to absurdity, mystery or downright crazy, but this may be a first for The Land of Extreme. The mysterious footage that had been playing throughout the night finally culminated just as the show was about to go off the air. The unknown individual approached the house at the center of the Wyatt Compound and came face-to-face with Bray Wyatt himself. The Eater of World gave a sadistic smirk before dropping to his knees and shouting "Welcome, brother! You have finally come to embrace your evil!". Suddenly, the camera switched to reveal the figure as none other than Aleister Black! The crowd erupted as The Dutch Destroyer glared into the eyes of his bitter rival. Wyatt slowly raised to his feet and extended his hand, only to receive a jaw-jacking Black Mass. Black laid out Bray Wyatt in front of his own residence, but he wasn't finished yet. The Striking Man from Amsterdam looked up to the house before him and spread his arms wide before shouting "This evil must die!". And with that, Black grabbed the arm of Bray Wyatt and dragged him into the house through the front door before slamming it shut. The camera slowly backed away from the building and into the woods before cutting to static. A horrifying ending to this episode of ECW, leaving more questions than answers.

WWE.com Exclusive: Stephanie McMahon reveals colossal changes to the landscape starting with WWE SummerSlam in four weeks The trip down memory lane to the time of the Attitude Era had the Universe abuzz, seeing the return of WCW Nitro and ECW was something nobody ever thought we would see. And while it had created several classic moments over these last few months, it was time to move with the times and focus on the future. A few hours before this week's episode of WWE Raw, Stephanie McMahon took to the ring before an empty arena, making an official statement to the entire WWE Universe in a WWE.com exclusive. The Queen of Queens kicked things off by thanking everyone on behalf of her family and the roster for supporting their most recent endeavour into the "New Era of Attitude". But with that said, Stephanie explained that to take hold of the future, they must move on from the past, and that is exactly what we will do. The Billionaire Baroness declared that in four weeks time, the landscape of this industry would once again change as WCW Nitro and ECW will be returned to the vault and replaced with the WWE productions of SmackDown, NXT and 205 Live. The original WWE programming will return to TV screens in four weeks, immediately following a blockbuster pay-per-view event - WWE SummerSlam! Promising that the show will make history, Stephanie revealed that the entire roster are eligible to compete, and the night will feature several epic contests to lead into the new era in style. Big things are in store for the future of WWE, but what will transpire over the next four weeks as WWE Raw, WCW Nitro and ECW superstars battle it out to earn their place in the all-new era?

Daniel Bryan's SummerSlam challenger is revealed as AJ Styles answers the call, leading to huge tag team main event And so it begins - the road to WWE SummerSlam and the all-new era to follow, and what better way to kick it off than by finding out who will challenge Daniel Bryan for the WWE Championship at the Biggest Party of the Summer? The Planet's Champion opened tonight's episode of WWE Raw and addressed the blockbuster revelation by Stephanie McMahon earlier in the day, declaring that he was always the "true Champion", and as the WWE Champion, that makes him the most powerful man in this industry. He also made a bold claim that whoever would be his next challenger would be nothing more than an example of why he is the best when he beats them and stands tall with his title held high. However, his ego may be forced to take a backseat as his challenger was revealed to be none other than AJ Styles! The Phenomenal One merged to a thunderous ovation from the WWE Universe, taking full advantage of the brand restrictions being lifted ahead of the all-new era, answering the call of The Planet's Champion. As Bryan looked on in surprise, Styles declared that he was here to take his opportunity at reclaiming the title he once held when he built SmackDown Live. Of course, Bryan had very little interest in what Styles had to say and informed him that he was going to wish he'd stayed on WCW Nitro and disappeared with it. Suddenly, the pair are interrupted by another Nitro superstar - The Velveteen Dream! To the confusion of many, and the anger of Styles, The Dream made his way out to the ring and shockingly accepted The Phenomenal One's request for a match, citing that he will defeat him at WCW Spring Stampede, and go on to compete for the WWE Championship himself. Before it could become anymore chaotic, Stephanie McMahon decided to interject and informed everyone that she would be taking control of the three brands to ensure everything goes off without a hitch heading into the all-new era, and so she confirms that tonight's main event would be a tag team battle which will see Daniel Bryan and The Velveteen Dream go up against AJ Styles and a partner of his choice. Who will The Phenomenal One have by his side tonight? WWE Tag Team Champions The New Day & The Hardy Boyz def. The Revival & The B-Team When you have as few allies as The Revival, it's hard to find a suitable set of partners who actually want to stand by your side. One team did agree to support the former Champions, however, and that was WCW's B-Team. In the words of Scott Dawson moments before the match, "They will have to do". The unique pairing of The New Day and The Hardyz had the WWE Universe abuzz, and they worked very well together despite their different styles. As the match broke down, Kofi Kingston was able to strike Curtis Axel with a Trouble In Paradise to secure the victory for his team. Moment after the closing bell, the trio of positivity and the legendary brothers once again came face-to-face as they had last week, seemingly hinting towards a title clash in the near future. Could we see The New Day and The Hardy Boyz collide down the line? Cesaro def. Shelton Benjamin The unexpected debut of Cesaro last week on WWE Raw got everyone talking, but perhaps the least excited was The Miz, who suffered a loss at the hands of The Swiss Superman. This week, Cesaro took on Shelton Benjamin in yet another winning effort, putting The Gold Standard away with a Neutraliser. Moments after Cesaro's victory, he was interrupted by the Intercontinental Champion himself and his wife, Maryse. The Miz made it clear to Cesaro that last week was nothing more than a fluke, and his "five minutes of fame" are over. Bold words from The A-Lister, ones which will no doubt not sit well with Cesaro. Sasha Banks def. Ember Moon Tensions ran high last week when Sasha Banks squared up to her friend, Becky Lynch, apparently laying claim to a Women's Championship match in the near future. Bayley tried to diffuse the situation, but it may have been all for nought. The Boss went into action this week against Ember Moon, and showed off a disturbingly aggressive attitude, viciously taking the fight to The War Goddess, and forcing her to submit to the Bank Statement. Even after the closing bell, Banks refused to release the hold, clearly sending a message to the Women's Champion. It took Bayley to rush to ringside and pull her friend away, restraining her, but in the process was shoved to the canvas. Is Sasha Banks letting her desire for gold come between her friendships? Mike Kanellis def. Heath Slater to retain the Hardcore Championship Being hunted by The Irresistible Force is never good. Mike Kanellis knows first hand about that as since capturing the Hardcore Championship, he has been under fire from Nia Jax who he clubbed with a steel chair at No mercy to capture the gold for himself. With frequent looks over his shoulder, Kanellis defended the title against Heath Slater tonight on Raw and came out victorious with a rolling cutter onto a steel chair. The Prodigy was just about to celebrate his victory when he turned to see his worst fear - Nia Jax had her hands on his wife, Maria Kanellis. The Hardcore Champion dropped to his knees and begged her to unhand his wife, but Nia Jax made it clear that until she got her fair shot at Kanellis' Hardcore Championship, she wasn't about to let go. He reluctantly accepted the challenge for a title bout next week, and Nia Jax threw Maria to the floor. The WWE Universe erupted at the knowledge that Jax would finally get her hands on the cowardly Kanellis next week, live on WWE Raw! Evolution lays waste to Stone Cold Steve Austin and Roman Reigns Stone Cold Steve Austin isn't finished yet, and Evolution found that out last week when he returned to Raw and unleashed all hell on Triple H, Batista and Randy Orton when they tried to assault Roman Reigns. This week, The Texas Rattlesnake once again made his way to the ring to address Triple H directly, politely informing him that he's got a can of whoopass for each member of Evolution, ready to open whenever he's willing to take it. Austin's statement ignited the crowd, but Evolution then made their way out to the ring, with The Game reminding Austin who won at WWE No Mercy, and made it clear that Austin had no business on Raw, since he is essentially unemployed. But, Triple H revealed that as SStone Cold is a Hall of Famer, he would give him the benefit of the doubt and allow him to stay for the night, even offering him a "complimentary gift". Unfortunately, that gift turned out to be another assault! But before they could unleash their beating on Austin, The Big Dog emerged through the crowd and stood side-by-side with The Texas Rattlesnake, ready for a fight. Evolution proceeded and engaged in a brawl with the pair, but the numbers game was too much even for the two former World Champions to handle. Stone Cold was driven into the canvas with a Pedigree from his arch-nemesis, while Roman Reigns fell victim to a devastating Batista Bomb and RKO combination. Evolution stood tall over their foes this week, looking as dominant as ever. Baron Corbin def. Kurt Angle Last week, Baron Corbin put a beating on Kurt Angle's protege, Chad Gable following a backstage confrontation that turned volatile. This week, the Hall of Famer looked to stand up for his student in a singles match of his own with The Lone Wolf. The former World Champion was clearly out to teach Corbin a lesson in respect, and the WWE Universe were urging him to do so, but it seems that since Corbin's victory over John Cena at WWE No Mercy, he's been a completely different machine. Even The Olympic Hero could not overcome the brutal offence of the former United States Champion, and despite applying the Ankle Lock and even attempting an Angle Slam, he was unable to really deliver with either, and fell victim to an End of Days that put Angle away for the three count. Another impressive victory for Corbin, and another victory over a legendary former World Champion. Racking up these impressive wins surely puts The Lone Wolf in the spotlight for his future as the all-new era looms. Braun Strowman def. "Glorious" Robert Roode Braun Strowman certainly isn't "glorious" by any stretch, but he's definitely something special. The big man went into action against Robert Roode who looked to score a huge victory over The Monster Among Men to continue his career resurgence, but unfortunately for him, Strowman had other plans. Using his clear power advantage, Strowman threw his adversary around the ring like a child and ultimately planted him with a running powerslam to seal the deal. After the match, Strowman comically mocked Roode's mannerisms, bellowing "GLORIOUS!" in his husky voice, drawing a laugh from the WWE Universe. But while he may be all smiles and jokes now, between those ring bells, he's simply unstoppable. Women's World Champion Becky Lynch def. Alexa Bliss via disqualification when Sasha Banks unleashed heinous assault on The Man It was obviously on the mind of Becky Lynch how Sasha Banks confronted her last week, and her actions earlier tonight as well. But as always, the show must go on, and The Man looked to pick up a victory over Alexa Bliss on Raw. However, the match barely had chance to get off the ground before The Boss emerged from out of nowhere and assaulted Becky Lynch. The official called for the ring bell as Banks unloaded on the Women's Champion, viciously beating her into the canvas. She even guillotined Lynch on the bottom rope with an uncomfortable looking move that left The Man rolling around in pain. The Boss grabbed the title from ringside and held it above her head to a hostile reaction from the WWE Universe. What has come over Sasha Banks? AJ Styles & Tyler Bate def. WWE Champion Daniel Bryan & The Velveteen Dream The all-new era has already started to come into effect as at the top of the show, AJ Styles emerged to answer the call of Daniel Bryan as his next challenger for the WWE Championship. And as a result, this brought out The Velveteen Dream, and led to Stephanie McMahon booking a blockbuster main event that saw Daniel Bryan and The Dream unite against Styles and a partner of his choosing. And he didn't disappoint with his choice as he selected the same man who took The Planet's Champion to the limit last week in an incredible battle, Tyler Bate! The young superstar aligned with The Phenomenal One and went head-to-head with Bryan and Dream in one of Raw's most exciting main events in history. All four men had their fair share of action, but when the tide began to turn in favour of Styles and Bate, the WWE Champion decided to grab his gold and take his leave, abandoning The Velveteen Dream and leaving him to suffer a Phenomenal Forearm from his WCW Spring Stampede opponent this Sunday. AJ Styles picked up the victory and celebrated alongside the British superstar as Daniel Bryan watched on in anger from the aisle. What a way to close out this week's Raw, and what a match we have set for WWE SummerSlam as Daniel Bryan and AJ Styles clash in what is sure to be a match for the ages.

Ric Flair reaches his boiling point and strikes Shane McMahon The Nature Boy means business, and he came to the ring this week to establish that. He made a direct address to the entire WCW Universe, promising that with only a few weeks until the all-new era begins, he will be taking back complete control of WCW Nitro, regardless of what Shane McMahon may do to try and prevent that. The crowd cheered in delight, but Flair's bold claim was quickly overshadowed by the arrival of the very man he mentioned, Shane McMahon. The Prodigal Son walked out to the ring and directly informed Flair that his actions as of late have been unacceptable, and he seems to have forgotten that he will still be receiving his job review this Sunday at WCW Spring Stampede, and in his own words, "it isn't looking good". But the Hall of Famer responded with the simple claim that McMahon could "shove his review up his ass", to an eruption from the WCW Universe. Just as Shane was about to respond, Flair cut him off once more, this time to tell him that he's got something else he can review - a right hand! The Nature Boy shifted into that mindset we know he has and became erratic, stomping the "Commissioner" out of the ring. Shane McMahon reluctantly retreated, holding his jaw and shouting "You'll regret that, Flair!" as he disappeared through the curtain. Ric Flair may have just put his future at risk, but when you're The Nature Boy, it seems that it doesn't really matter. Asuka def. Lacey Evans With the all-new era around the corner, it was inevitable that the plans for a WCW Women's Championship would be abandoned, but as both Asuka and Charlotte Flair earned the right to compete for a Championship, Stephanie McMahon took to WWE.com to address the situation and revealed that the two women will still collide this Sunday at WCW Spring Stampede, with a view to earning a Championship opportunity come SummerSlam. That being said, Asuka went into action tonight against Flair's recent ally, Lacey Evans and was able to score a victory with her signature Asuka Lock. However, immediately following the ring bell, The Queen assaulted her Spring Stampede opponent and unleashed an attack alongside Evans, taking down The Empress of Tomorrow. Despite the best efforts of Kairi Sane who came to the aid of her best friend, she was no match for The Queen and The Lady who dropped Asuka with a devastating assisted big boot, laying out the Japanese superstar. Charlotte Flair and Lacey Evans stood tall heading into this Sunday's pay-per-view event and perhaps gave us a preview of things to come. Huge main event revealed for tonight's episode of WCW Nitro Just mere days before Sting returns to action against Andrade "Cien" Almas at WCW Spring Stampede, The Icon will step into the ring alongside Shinsuke Nakamura to take on Andrade and his partner, Samoa Joe. This blockbuster main event is sure to be a must-see encounter as two Spring Stampede contests become merged into one. Which team will walk out victorious heading into this Sunday's event? Elias def. Sin Cara It was always obvious that Elias would never let us live it down that he scored a pinfall victory over AJ Styles last week, and he had a few more things to say about it tonight. The Sinister Songsmith was able to pick up another victory, this time over Sin Cara with a vicious swinging neckbreaker and moments after the closing bell, he grabbed a microphone to address a certain situation. Elias claimed that it was disgusting how he defeated AJ Styles last week, yet he is the next in line for a WWE Championship opportunity at SummerSlam. The Living Truth went on to declare that he is taking a stand against this "mistreatment", and will stage a "protest" this Sunday at WCW Spring Stampede. What does Elias have in mind? Ricochet def. Rey Mysterio & Roderick Strong to become number one contender for the United States Championship After weeks of avoiding Ricochet at all costs, Adam Cole will finally have no alternative but to face him this Sunday. The One and Only was able to come out victorious in an incredible triple threat bout featuring Rey Mysterio and Undisputed ERA's own, Roderick Strong. The United States Champion was clearly hoping for Strong's success, predicting an easy title defence at WCW Spring Stampede, but it's not to be as Ricochet pinned the Undisputed member after a 630 Senton. The leader of Undisputed ERA surprisingly emerged following Ricochet's win and looked confident as he told him to bring it on. These two will square off this Sunday, and only one of them can walk out as the United States Champion. And you can't forget, that Adam Cole does have somewhat of an "Undisputed" advantage, that will undoubtedly come into play. Shane McMahon promises that Ric Flair will regret his decision to lay his hands on him Hell hat no fury like a McMahon scorned. Shane-O-Mac took to the interview area to declare that Ric Flair would not get away with his actions earlier in the night, having received a right hand courtesy of the Hall of Famer. While Shane will be in attendance to review Flair's role as General Manager, he vowed that he would also make sure that The Nature Boy would regret laying his hands on him, and hinted that he would be reviewing more than just his ability outside of the ring. What did he mean by that? WCW Tag Team Champions Undisputed ERA def. The Usos Adam Cole found out his challenger for WCW Spring Stampede just moments ago, but the Undisputed ERA have been aware for quite some time. The unstoppable War Raiders will compete for the WCW Tag Team Championships this Sunday, but first, O'Reilly and Fish would go up against a tag team from WWE Raw in an incredible bout - The Usos. The former Tag Team Champions made the journey to WCW Nitro to take on the reigning Champions, but ultimately lost after UE were able to deliver the destructive Total Elimination, putting the brothers away. Moments after their victory, The War Raiders emerged to send an intimidating message to their Spring Stampede opponents. Standing in the dark, the pair made it clear that they were coming for the WCW Tag Team Championships. And if their track record is anything to go by, Bobby Fish and Kyle O'Reilly have quite the task ahead. Cedric Alexander def. Noam Dar; Alexander challenges Ali to a rematch at WCW Spring Stampede After their incredible encounter last week, Cedric Alexander and Ali may well collide again if the Cruiserweight Champion accepts Alexander's challenge. The former number one contender picked up an impressive victory over Noam Dar with a Lumbar Check, and immediately took to the microphone after the match to issue a respectful challenge to Ali for a rematch this Sunday. Coming so close last week clearly left the taste of gold in Cedric's mouth, but the question is - will Ali accept? The Velveteen Dream def. R-Truth This past week on WWE Raw, The Velveteen Dream got the opportunity to traverse the brand divide with the all-new era looming on the horizon, competing in a huge main event alongside the WWE Champion, Daniel Bryan to take on AJ Styles and Tyler Bate. Unfortunately for The Dream, it wasn't a successful journey, losing out to Styles after a Phenomenal Forearm. Looking to show that this loss was merely a bump in the road, the flamboyant competitor decimated R-Truth tonight on WCW Nitro, showing a disturbing aggression, putting the veteran away with a Dream Valley Driver, followed by a Purple Rainmaker. Immediately following the ring bell, The Dream seemed to return to his usual manner, and grabbed a microphone before declaring that this Sunday, he would show AJ Styles what it truly means to be "phenomenal". Cruiserweight Champion, Ali accepts Cedric Alexander's Spring Stampede challenge The Cruiserweight Champion had heard the challenge, and took to the interview area to accept it. Following on from Alexander's earlier request to a rematch for the gold this Sunday at WCW Spring Stampede, Ali explained that it was a no-brainer, immediately accepting the challenge and stating that he would be honoured to share the stage with his good friend on the final WCW pay-per-view event. And with that, the match was set - Ali and Cedric Alexander square off once more, this Sunday, for the WCW Cruiserweight Championship! Sting & Shinsuke Nakamura def. Andrade "Cien" Almas & Samoa Joe It's a rare occurrence to see The Icon, Sting in the ring these days. which makes it a real treat when he is. Tonight was proof ahead of his Spring Stampede clash with Andrade that he still has what it takes. Battling alongside Shinsuke Nakamura, The Stinger was able to defeat their respective rivals, Andrade and Samoa Joe in tag team action. The devious duo of Almas and The Destroyer wanted to use their wits to keep the legendary competitor and The King of Strong Style at bay, with Zelina Vega sticking her nose into the business of the match on behalf of her business associate. But when Samoa Joe found himself on the receiving end of a Kinshasa from Nakamura, it allowed Sting to strike and lock El Idolo in the Scorpion Deathlock, forcing him into submission. With a monumental victory in tonight's main event, Sting and Shinsuke Nakamura stood tall over their Spring Stampede opponents, but will the results be the same this Sunday? Seth Rollins and Dolph Ziggler sign the contract for their WCW Spring Stampede encounter with huge World Championship implications Just days remain before Drew McIntyre will defend his WCW World Championship against one of two contenders. Either Seth Rollins or Dolph Ziggler will receive the opportunity, but not before they endure a gruelling match with each other on the same night to determine which one it will be. Tonight, the pair signed the official contract toconfirm that the winner of their bout will advance to the main event and receive the golden opportunity at WCW Spring Stampede. However, as with all contract signings, it didn't go completely to plan. The Scottish Psychopath decided that he would emerge to oversee the proceedings, and in the process ended up coming nose-to-nose with both his potential challengers, creating plenty of tension. But he may live to regret his presence as when things became a little too heated, Dolph Ziggler struck with a superkick to the jaw, laying out the WCW World Champion as Seth Rollins looked on. But seeing an opportunity of his own, The Kingslayer caught McIntyre back into the canvas with The Stomp! Both challengers came face-to-face as the WCW Universe erupted, knowing that one of these men will go on to challenge for the big gold belt this Sunday. Both have sent a message to the reigning Champion, but which of them will earn the right to call themselves number one contender, and even when they do, will they have enough in the tank to get the job done on the night?

Sami Zayn challenges Kevin Owens to a match to end it all at WWE SummerSlam - Hell in a Cell! Blood, sweat and flaming tables. Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens have endured many layers of hell during their on/off relationship, with their most recent "off-stint" being one of the most barbaric in their storied rivalry. Weeks ago at ECW One Night Stand, Owens left his former best friend in a pool of his own blood after driving him through a flaming table in the Hammerstein Ballroom. Last week, Zayn returned to get his hands on The Prizefighter, and tonight took to the ring with one thing on his mind - one last battle. The Underdog of the Underground addressed Kevin Owens and the ECW faithful by declaring that this needed to end once and for all. So Zayn proposed a solution. One final match. But not just any match, it had to be one that would truly be the culmination of everything. All the bad blood, all the hatred, everything all rolled into one for one final encounter. And then he uttered the four most feared words in WWE history - Hell. In. A. Cell! Will Kevin Owens accept the challenge and take on his arch-nemesis inside the satanic structure for one last battle? The Authors of Pain def. The Dudley Boyz to become the new ECW Tag Team Champions While the all-new era will send ECW back into the vault, the Championships still hold weight when it comes to the transition period. Holding a title heading into the new era will result in many opportunities for those superstars, and the ECW Tag Team Championships are no different. This highly anticipated collision finally took place tonight on ECW as The Dudley Boyz looked to topple their recent rivals, The Authors of Pain in tag team action. But even the Hall of Fame duo could not withstand the brute force of Akam and Rezar, let alone with Drake Maverick directing traffic from ringside. The Dudleyz looked to end the match with a 3-D on Akam, only for Drake Maverick to sacrifice himself and launch his body into Bubba Ray to prevent the infamous move from connecting. This momentary distracting allowed AOP to regroup and isolate D-Von Dudley to deliver The Last Chapter, securing the victory and the ECW Tag Team Championships. This dominant team look to be on their A-game heading into the all-new era, and have no doubt secured themselves places at the top of the tag team division. No Way Jose def. Aiden English No Way Jose has certainly turned a corner in terms of success, not only taking Kevin Owens to the limit in an incredible match two weeks ago, but defeating ECW legend, Rhyno last week as well. The Dominican Dancing Machine has gained plenty of focus these last few weeks, and it continued through as he took on Aiden English. And despite being outnumbered on the outside with Rusev and Lana in The Artiste's corner, No Way was able to deliver a huge pop-up knockout punch to flatten English and claim the victory. Immediately following the ring bell, Rusev and his wife, Lana abandoned their fallen ally with looks of disappointment on their faces. When Aiden English came to realise that they had left him, he began to bawl his eyes out. Poor Aiden. Shayna Baszler def. Bianca Belair It's a gutsy move to step up to Shayna Baszler after witnessing her shear dominance over the past few months, but Bianca Belair is definitely made of gutsy stuff. The EST of ECW challenged The Queen of Spades to this match tonight, and didn't disappoint, taking the fight right to the dominant superstar and holding her own where others had fallen. She even came close to putting Baszler away with a KOD, but shockingly she kicked out and battled back to apply the devastating Kirifuda Clutch and force Belair into submission. A valiant effort, but an unsuccessful one as Baszler continued to run roughshod through the women's division. Will anybody be able to stop The Queen of Spades when the all-new era begins? Wherever she ends up, the women's locker room will undoubtedly be on notice. Aleister Black def. Eric Young The bizarre events that took place last week between Aleister Black and Bray Wyatt had the entire world baffled. The Dutch Destroyer journeyed to the infamous Wyatt Compound to hunt down the man who had haunted him for the best part of the last couple of months, finally getting his hands on The Eater of Worlds to exact his revenge. Black did just that, and dragged Wyatt into his own house of horrors, presumably to unleash his own brand of punishment. Nobody has seen or heard from Bray Wyatt since that fateful night, and with Black now seemingly rid of his demons, he was free to tie up loose ends, one of those being Eric Young. And with a Black Mass to the jaw, he was able to defeat the deranged superstar while his allies, Alexander Wolfe and Killian Dain looked on from ringside. The Striking Man from Amsterdam was finally free of the torment, and the ECW faithful joined him in celebration. But what has become of Bray Wyatt, and what really happened inside that forsaken place? Pete Dunne def. Apollo Crews to retain the ECW Television Championship Continuing the tradition of defending the ECW Television Championship week in, week out, Pete Dunne opened the floor up even more with the all-new era looming on the horizon. It just so happens that WWE Raw's Apollo Crews would answer the call tonight, engaging in an unbelievable battle with The Bruiserweight that had the ECW faithful on the edges of their seats. Ultimately, it was a Bitter End for Crews that ended the match, despite an incredible effort from the athletic superstar. After the match, the pair showed a great deal of respect for each other with a handshake, Crews even raising the hand of the ECW Television Champion. This is what competition is all about, and these two will no doubt shine in the future. Kevin Owens accepts Sami Zayn's challenge with a physical response Hell in a Cell? Consider it booked. However, Kevin Owens didn't seem to think that a simple "Yes" would suffice, instead choosing to ambush his former friend in the backstage area, brutally assaulting him and driving him through a table, through to the concrete floor. The Prizefighter chose this moment to get in Zayn's face and utter the words "I accept", before slapping the face of his arch-rival. Sami Zayn made the challenge. Kevin Owens accepted. It's on. WWE Summerslam. Three weeks from now. Hell in a Cell. And it won't be for the weak of heart. Lars Sullivan def. Zack Ryder; Drew Gulak issues an ominous warning It's always been about "the bigger picture" with Drew Gulak and Lars Sullivan. Since arriving in The Land of Extreme, The Freak has decimated the competition and all the while, his adviser, Gulak has been lurking at ringside to keep the monster in check. Following tonight's manhandling of Zack Ryder, Drew Gulak took to the microphone alongside his associate to issue an ominous warning ahead of the all-new era's beginning. While his previous statements had been in regards to Lars Sullivan's desires, it seems that deep down, it was always his personal motives all along, and he went on to declare that in the very near future, his plan would come into full effect and both he and Lars Sullivan would reap the rewards of their efforts. The ECW faithful were undoubtedly left wondering what exactly Drew Gulak means, but we will have to wait to find out. Finn Bálor def. Dean Ambrose to retain the ECW World Championship Dean Ambrose held all the cards going into this one, threatening the future of the ECW World Championship. The brand may be returning to the vault for the all-new era, but the prestige of the title itself would be destroyed if The Lunatic Fringe were to capture the gold and then leave with it in his possession. However, that was not to be as Finn Bálor fault valiantly, not only for his own pride, but for the legacy of ECW as well. The Extraordinary Man endured the unhinged offence of Ambrose throughout the match as everything but the kitchen sink came into use. Bálor was able to battle back and ultimately put his adversary away with a huge Coup de Grace from the top rope after a gruelling bout that was back and forth the whole time. Securing his victory, Finn Bálor celebrated with the ECW faithful, while also being met by Paul Heyman in the ring who embraced him and congratulated him in his victory with a thankyou. All the while, Dean Ambrose was forced to leave ringside knowing that he would not be returning, to which the crowd mercilessly chanted "Goodbye". The Lunatic Fringe disappeared through the curtain as Bálor's celebration continued, but what does the future hold for Finn Bálor as he heads into the all-new era with one of the three World Championships?

Cruiserweight Champion Ali vs. Cedric Alexander ends in a no contest when Lars Sullivan and Drew Gulak unleash an attack both men (Kickoff Match) The mutual respect between Ali and Cedric Alexander led to this rematch being granted by the Cruiserweight Champion, and what better place than the Kickoff Show of WCW Spring Stampede. The two incredible athletes began the bout by shaking hands before displaying some of the most breathtaking aerial offence the WCW Universe had ever seen, going back and forth all in the name of their division. Alexander came close to capturing the gold at one point, almost delivering his Lumbar Check, but Ali was able to escape and avoid the devastating move. Instead, Ali battled back and looked to be closing in on a victory when all of a sudden, the atmosphere shifted as the monstrous Lars Sullivan came from out of nowhere! The Freak emerged to the confusion of everyone in attendance and began to dismantle the two competitors, forcing the official to call for a no contest. Sullivan sent Alexander crashing into the barricade spine-first, laying him out on the outside before entering the ring and planting Ali with a Freak Accident. But the question was - why? Well, we didn't have to wait long for an answer as Drew Gulak appeared in the ring with a widest of grins across his face. He snatched the Cruiserweight Championship from the referee and raised it above his own head. Is this what Gulak referred to this past week on ECW? If so, the plan is most definitely in full effect, and with Lars Sullivan watching his back, who's going to stop him? Seth Rollins def. Dolph Ziggler to advance to the main event Drew McIntyre currently stands without a challenger for the WCW World Championship, but that will all change following the opening contest of tonight's pay-per-view spectacular. Thanks to Ric Flair, Seth Rollins and Dolph Ziggler will collide for the opportunity to advance to a main event bout for the prestigious title. The Kingslayer made his way to the ring with the WCW Universe on his side, ready to take on The Showoff in this high stakes matchup. Both competitors immediately went to work on the other, knowing exactly what is up for grabs, and Rollins was able to issue the first real blow with a superkick to the sternum of The Showoff. Maintaining control, Rollins went on to deliver a springboard knee to his adversary and was hoping to zone in on a victory. Ziggler battled back and made everyone aware that he wasn't going to be counted out, and delivered a spiking DDT, taking control of the match himself. Measuring Rollins for his very own superkick, he waited for The Kingslayer to slowly rise to his feet, but as he was moments from connecting with Rollins' jaw, the former Shield member ducked underneath and dropped his opponent with a package fisherman buster! Somehow, Ziggler was able to kickout at two, saving himself from defeat. Rollins prepared to deliver The Stomp to finish Ziggler off, only to receive a superkick for his efforts, giving Ziggler the perfect opening for a win, however, Rollins showed that he is equally resilient, kicking out at two as well. Rage filled Dolph Ziggler as he once again lined Rollins up for a superkick, but as he went to strike, The Kingslayer ducked underneath and hit Ziggler with a superkick to the midsection, following it up with a Stomp to secure the victory and his place in the main event! Chants of "Burn it down" filled the arena as Rollins celebrated, knowing that he had punched his ticket to a title opportunity. Will Seth Rollins be able to go the whole way and capture the gold from McIntyre after enduring such a gruelling match with Dolph Ziggler? Samoa Joe def. Shinsuke Nakamura The back and forth rivalry between Samoa Joe and Shinsuke Nakamura finally came to a conclusion tonight at WCW Spring Stampede. The two enemies went head-to-head in a hard-hitting bout to determine who the better man truly was. The Destroyer was in no mood for anything other than destruction, and showed it by unleashing his aggression early on, taking the fight directly to The King of Strong Style with a series of hard shots, followed by an uncomfortable looking drop onto the top rope that had Nakamura favouring his midsection for the rest of the match. It wasn't over just yet though as Nakamura battled back with fire in his heart and used his educated feet to his advantage, keeping the more powerful Joe at bay with an array of kicks and even dropping The Samoan Submission Machine with a hangman backstabber that almost gave him the victory. But as The Rockstar aimed to deliver his signature Kinshasa, Joe was lying in wait, evading the move and instead applying his crippling Coquina Clutch which rendered the Japanese superstar unable to escape, leaving him with no alternative but to submit. Samoa Joe had conquered his adversary, and stood tall over his fallen foe to the dismay of the WCW Universe. But he didn't care. All that mattered to him was victory, and that is what he had achieved. Asuka vs. Charlotte Flair ends in a double countout While it was originally scheduled to crown the first WCW Women's Champion, the introduction of the all-new era put this on hold. However, this doesn't mean that Asuka and Charlotte Flair couldn't still have an incredible contest, and that's exactly what they did. The two talented athletes went head-to-head with their respective allies, Kairi Sane and Lacey Evans in their corners at ringside. The match began with Asuka unloading a series of kicks on Charlotte, keeping The Queen grounded for the most part. But it wasn't long before the daughter of WWE Hall of Famer, Ric Flair turned the tables and began delivering her father's signature knee drops. Flair then saw an opening for an unbelievable moonsault attempt, connecting with huge impact, but this wasn't enough to keep The Empress of Tomorrow off the mat. Asuka battled back and even delivered an impressive backslide driver, coming close to defeating The Queen tonight on pay-per-view. But Lacey Evans presence at ringside then began to play a part as she distracted Asuka moments before she looked to apply her signature Asuka Lock. Kairi Sane came to join the fray as Asuka warned Evans to back off and stay out of the match, when all of a sudden, Charlotte Flair threw caution to the wind and flew through the air down to the outside with an incredible moonsault, taking out everyone at ringside. The WCW Universe chanted "Holy sh*t!" and rightly so as all four women lay motionless on the arena floor. The official had no choice but to initiate a count, and due to the damage sustained, neither Charlotte nor Asuka were able to answer the referee's ten count, resulting in a double countout. Not a popular result with the fans in attendance, and most likely not for the competitors either. Officials rushed to ringside to tend to the fallen females as the show continued. The Undisputed ERA def. The War Raiders to retain the WCW Tag Team Championships Hanson and Rowe would finally get their opportunity to take the WCW Tag Team Championships from The Undisputed ERA, and it looked like it was going to happen for a good chunk of this match. The War Raiders came in hot and steamrolled through the reigning Champions, flattening both Kyle O'Reilly and Bobby Fish with some incredible power moves. Nobody had been able to stop Hanson and Rowe in recent weeks, and it showed here tonight exactly why that is. But they forgot to account for the added presence of Undisputed's Roderick Strong. The extra element of this bout decided to get involved, distracting Hanson during a pivotal moment in the match, and this moment proved to be fatal for The War Raiders who took their eye off the ball for just a second too long, allowing O'Reilly and Fish to mount an offence. Strong's involvement didn't end there though as he travelled around the ring to hold the leg of Hanson while Rowe fell victim to Total Elimination. With the official focused on the action in the ring, it allowed Undisputed ERA to pick up a huge victory and retain the WCW Tag Team Championships. The trio celebrated with their titles as the WCW Universe were not quite as happy. The Undisputed ERA's night begins with success, but will Adam Cole be able to replicate it later tonight when he defends his United States Championship against Ricochet? Sheamus returns and crashes Elias' "management protest" Elias has a grievance, and you know for a fact that we're going to hear about it. He promised a "protest" and here it is, The Living Truth occupied the arena to stand his ground against what he believes is his own mistreatment. Reminding us all of his victory over AJ Styles two weeks ago - although failing to mention the tide-turning assist by The Velveteen Dream - he claims that The Phenomenal One doesn't deserve a shot at the WWE Championship, and instead it should be him. The Sinister Songsmith demanded that justice be served, and he be granted the opportunity he deserves, claiming that he is constantly overlooked in favour of inferior talent on the roster. Refusing to leave until he is shown some respect, Elias remained in the ring to the dismay of the WCW Universe, but his protest was soon interrupted by the return of another superstar - Sheamus. The Celtic Warrior made his way to the ring to a huge ovation, confronting Elias. The Living Truth asked Sheamus who he thought he was interrupting him when he has no business out here. But the former World Champion informed him that he did have business out here, namely shutting Elias' mouth. The crowd erupted, but this only angered Elias who lunged towards the Irish competitor. Sheamus struck with a huge Brogue Kick, laying Elias out in the center of the ring to the delight of many. Sheamus is back, ready for the all-new era, and Elias just found out the hard way. AJ Styles def. The Velveteen Dream AJ Styles finally got the opportunity to get his hands on The Velveteen Dream after weeks of torment last week on WWE Raw, but tonight it was one-on-one. The Dream was in the head of The Phenomenal One, and it showed as Styles struggled to hold back his frustration before the ring bell. The match began with The Dream delivering some trash talk to his adversary, digging deeper into the mind of AJ Styles. But he soon received a slap across the face for his troubles as the former World Champion began to lay into the young superstar, releasing all his pent up anger. He drove him into the canvas with a brainbuster, looking dominant as the match kicked off, but it wasn't long before Velveteen Dream was back in the game, hitting his signature hook around DDT, and ascending the ropes to deliver his patented Purple Rainmaker. He connected and all of a sudden, it looked like The Dream had picked up the biggest win of his career, but Styles wasn't out just yet, kicking out at two. The Dream became frustrated and went on the offence again, only for Styles to get a second wind from somewhere, rallying against his adversary and hitting a leaping knee drop, and then he measured him up for the Phenomenal Forearm. But as Styles soared through the air, he was met with a huge superkick right on the jaw! The crowd went wild as The Dream once again looked to have complete control. He drove Styles into the canvas with a Dream Valley Driver, and we all know what follows that. But instead of going straight for the cover, or even the Purple Rainmaker, he took the time to torment the WCW Universe, mocking them that he was about to defeat their hero. But his delay may have cost him as he leapt from the top rope into a kick to the gut, followed by Styles applying the necessary holds for his Styles Clash! And it was all over for The Dream. The Phenomenal One had bested his rival, and The Dream's ego had got in the way of his own success. AJ Styles now looks forward as he challenges Daniel Bryan for the WWE Championship at WWE SummerSlam. Can he continue his momentum into the Biggest Party of the Summer? Ricochet def. Adam Cole to become the new United States Champion Just moments before Adam Cole made his entrance, he had a backstage meeting with his Undisputed ERA allies who were eager to join their leader at ringside for his match. But surprisingly, Adam Cole refused their assistance, claiming that he needed to beat Ricochet on his own to prove that he is the better man. He vowed to embarrass Ricochet in front of the entire WCW Universe, and make sure that they remain Undisputed. He made his way to the ring alone, and Ricochet was ready. The One and Only was stunned that he wasn't facing a 4-on-1 disadvantage, but a focused Adam Cole wasted little time going to work, eager to prove that he can be just as dangerous alone. He took control of the match, beating down on his challenger and delivering a thunderous German suplex. The fight tumbled to the outside, but this is when Ricochet found his openings to take flight. He gained control and slid into the ring, rebounding off the ropes and connecting with an impressive suicide dive. Moments later, he slid back into the ring and unleashed another high-flying move, connecting with a corkscrew plancha to chants of "Holy sh*t!" from the crowd. Looking to pick up a victory, Ricochet rolled Cole into the ring and went for the cover, but it wasn't yet enough to secure the win. He looked to continue his offence, only for Cole to strike with a superkick to the gut, followed by an enziguiri, clipping the back of Ricochet's skull. Seeing an opportunity to deliver a big move, Cole ascended to the middle rope and leapt off, hitting the devastating Panama Sunrise! The arena erupted as Cole went for the cover, only for Ricochet to kick out at two, somehow. Chants of "This is awesome!" filled the arena as Cole wondered what he had to do to put his challenger away. He measured him up for the Last Shot, what he believed would be the killing blow, but when he ran to strike, Ricochet sprung to his feet and hoisted Cole onto his shoulders before throwing him off into a picture perfect roundhouse kick. With Cole floored, he climbed to the top rope and delivered his ever-impressive 630 Senton and hooked the leg for the one, two, three! Ricochet has finally done it, he had conquered The Undisputed ERA's Adam Cole. Ricochet is the new United States Champion heading into the all-new era! The One and Only lived up to his name with an impressive performance, leaving Adam Cole devastated with his loss. Shane McMahon relieves Ric Flair of his duties as General Manager and drops him with a low blow Did anyone really expect anything else? Shane McMahon had made it clear these last few weeks that he wanted rid of Ric Flair, and this whole "job evaluation" process has been nothing but a front, giving Shane legal reason to remove Flair from his role as General Manager. The Prodigal Son made his way to the ring, flanked by three security guard, the WCW Universe booing him out of the building, but he didn't seem to care. He began to address the situation, calling out The Nature Boy so he can do this face-to-face. Ric Flair obliges and makes his way to the ring to the delight of the WCW Universe, despite having a good idea of what's coming next. Firstly, McMahon explains that the security are for his own safety after Flair's volatile outburst on WCW Nitro last week. He goes on to declare that he has given this much thought over the last few weeks, and taking everything into account, he has no alternative but to relive Flair of his duties as General Manager. This wasn't so much of a shock, but still an unfortunate result. The Hall of Famer cuts McMahon off as he goes on to try and explain the reasoning for his decision, making it clear that he knows Shane McMahon doesn't give a damn about him or the WCW Universe, because he's only in it for himself. He squared up to Shane-O-Mac which prompts the security to edge closer, but Shane assures them he can handle the situation. While the two are practically nose-to-nose, Flair tells Shane that he'll never be half the man that his father is, clearly getting under The Prodigal Son's skin. But rather than get angry, Shane smirks and instead responds by telling Ric Flair that as soon as he's finalised Flair's release, he might pay a little visit to "daddy's little girl" and give her the pink slip as well. This infuriates The Nature Boy who goes wild, striking Shane with a right hand! The crowd go wild as Flair starts to lay into the devious mcMahon, only for security to enter and apprehend the Hall of Famer. Suddenly, Shane takes advantage of the situation and kicks Flair right between the legs with a heinous low blow, dropping him to his knees. Shane McMahon gives a mocking "Woo" in the face of Flair before leaving with a grin from ear-to-ear. Shane had clearly got into the head of Ric Flair, and now he's got what he wanted. The Nature Boy is no more. Sting def. Andrade "Cien" Almas El Idolo was out to prove one thing - that he is better than Sting. He believes it in his own mind, and he is ready to prove it to the world. However, his disrespectful approach hasn't been very well received, least of all by The Icon himself who has set out to teach Almas a lesson in respect. Andrade didn't look intimidated as Sting made his iconic entrance, instead seeming more focused than ever, believing this was his night. Although he didn't get off to the best of starts, arrogantly mocking Sting with his own howl, only to receive a huge side slam. The Stinger maintained control in the early parts of the match, but once Andrade was able to connect with a superkick, he lunged onto his adversary and began hailing fists down on the Hall of Famer. The self-proclaimed Pride of Mexico went on to prove his worth against Sting with a crippling hangman backbreaker, followed by a slingshot leg drop, garroting Sting on the bottom rope. Things looked bleak for The Icon, but as usual, Andrade's ego may have gotten the better of him as he looked to finish of Sting with his own move, setting up for the Stinger Death Drop. Unfortunately for him, Sting had it well-scouted and turned it around, throwing Andrade into the corner and delivering the signature Stinger Splash! And then Sting decided it was time to show him how it's supposed to be done, setting up for his own Stinger Death Drop. Somehow, El Idolo was able to reserve it into his own Hammerlock DDT and looked set to drop Sting on his head. However, to close the incredible series of reversals, Sting tripped his adversary up and applied the Stinger Death Lock. And despite Zelina Vega's screeches at ringside, pleading with Andrade to hang on, he had no alternative but to submit. The Icon wins, and the WCW Universe couldn't be happier. But you cannot take away from the ability of Andrade who more than held his own against a former World Champion, a Hall of Famer, a legend in Sting. Andrade and Zelina Vega reluctantly retreated up the aisle as Sting enjoyed his celebration with the WCW Universe. Seth Rollins def. Drew McIntyre to become the new WCW World Champion For the second time tonight, Seth Rollins entered the arena with the WCW Universe behind him, this time doing battle for the WCW World Championship. The Kingslayer looked a bit worse for wear heading into the bout, his match with Dolph Ziggler earlier in the night still taking its toll. But Drew McIntyre certainly didn't care for that, and The Scottish Psychopath made it clear that he was taking no prisoners and went straight on the attack the moment he set foot in the ring, hoping to take advantage of Rollins' fatigue. The World Champion clotheslined his opponent over the ropes and to the outside, unleashing a hellish beating on the number one contender, using his environment to his advantage. McIntyre sent Rollins crashing into the top of the announce table, followed by swinging him head-first into the ring apron with uncomfortable force. The beating didn't stop there though, with McIntyre booting Rollins in the skull moments later, a move that would later prove to have bust open the forehead of his adversary. And then looking to put this one away early, McIntyre delivered a sickening Future Shock DDT, planting Rollins on the top of his head. All seemed to be over when suddenly, The Kingslayer kicked out at the very last second, showing that he still had some fight left in him. And with the crowd chanting "Rollins!" in support, the momentum began running through the veins of the challenger. McIntyre wanted to quickly put an end to said momentum and measured Rollins for a Claymore, but as he bolted towards him, Rollins found something deep down and met him with a superkick to the sternum, hunching over the WCW World Champion. Finding the will to continue, Rollins ascended the turnbuckle and connected with a meteora, taking McIntyre down to the canvas. He measured him up for a Stomp, but McIntyre responded with a Glasgow Kiss, staggering the challenger and allowing him to once again attempt a Claymore. But one last time, Rollins evaded the kick, McIntyre flying across the ring with nobody home, and just before he could climb to his feet, Rollins struck with the Stomp and hooked the leg. And what a moment it was when the official declared the three count. The WCW Universe erupted as Rollins collapsed into the canvas, not only having beaten Dolph Ziggler earlier in the night, but defeating Drew McIntyre as well to capture the WCW World Championship! The referee handed Rollins the title belt and he immediately raised it into the air sharing the moment with the world. Finally, Seth Rollins had captured World Championship gold, and once again stands atop the mountain.

Mr. McMahon returns to deliver a huge SummerSlam challenge to Evolution Two weeks ago, Evolution made their official return by setting about the Chairman of the Board, Mr. McMahon in a heinous assault that ended with a Pedigree from Triple H to his father-in-law. Tonight, the iconic trio entered the arena to officially declare their superiority over the entire locker room, citing their recent attacks on Roman Reigns and Stone Cold Steve Austin, claiming that any encounter would inevitably end the same way. However, as The Game continued on his egotistical tirade, he was interrupted by the return of the aforementioned Chairman. Mr. McMahon made it clear that Evolution would have to face the consequences for their actions, and they would do just that at SummerSlam. He officially challenged the three men to a Six-Man Tag Team Match at The Biggest Party of the Summer, to which they laughed. Batista asked what made McMahon think that Reigns, Austin and a washed-up old man could defeat them. But Vince revealed that he wasn't going to be the third man, admitting he is past all that. But he promised that they would find out the third man tonight, and in the main event, Batista would go one-on-one with Roman Reigns! Who will the third man be? Samoa Joe def. Cesaro The Miz always manages to worm his way out of situations, and tonight was no different. The A-Lister was originally scheduled to go up against Cesaro in a non-title bout, but instead, he chose to reveal moments before the bell that he could not compete due to "parental commitments". However, he did offer The Swiss Superman a replacement, and it just so happened to be Samoa Joe. The Destroyer made his way to the ring for a gruelling battle with Cesaro that saw both men showcase their abilities, but ultimately the victory was Joe's to claim as he forced Cesaro into submission with a Coquina Clutch. And miraculously, The Miz's prior commitments had suddenly ended at the sound of the closing bell as he made his way to the ring to mock Cesaro for his loss. But the former World Champion seemed to be a bit too complacent in regards to Samoa Joe's allegiance, as The Samoan Submission Machine took the opportunity to apply another Coquina Clutch, this time to the Intercontinental Champion! Joe stood over his fallen foes and raised the prestigious gold for himself, showing that he was nobody's ally, and only has one goal in mind. Jeff Hardy def. WWE Tag Team Champion Big E It was announced via WWE.com just moments before WWE Raw went live on air that The New Day will defend their WWE Tag Team Championships at SummerSlam against none other than The Hardy Boyz. And with that, tonight saw one of each team compete as Jeff Hardy took on Big E in one-on-one action. The two battled it out with no involvement from their allies at ringside, likely out of mutual respect for either team. The Charismatic Enigma was able to secure the victory after hitting Big E with a Twist of Fate, followed by a Swanton Bomb. After the bout, The Hardyz celebrated and gestured towards the reigning Champions that they had the 1-0 advantage. The New Day took it in jest and let them know that they will be ready next time. Sasha Banks def. Bayley The Boss is most definitely in control of the women's division as of late. But her recent attitude change has not only shown her true colours, but has also left her friendship with Bayley in tatters. The pair collided tonight, albeit reluctantly on Bayley's part, as The Huggable One did not want to have to fight her best friend. But it seems that Sasha Banks couldn't care less for her former buddy, and took out all her frustrations on the former Women's Champion during the match. Just as Bayley looked to have had enough and began truly fighting back, she was taken to the canvas and forced to submit to the Bank Statement, handing Banks the victory. Moments later, The Boss went on the attack, continuing to pummel her former friend to the dismay of the WWE Universe. But it was then that the Women's World Champion, Becky Lynch rushed to the ring and engaged in a fistfight with her rival, forcing officials to have to separate the two. The Man may have gotten a small measure of revenge, but has Sasha had the last laugh? Stephanie McMahon's blockbuster announcement of unification battle at SummerSlam leads into impromptu Champion vs. Champion bout Stephanie McMahon is not holding back when it comes to making WWE SummerSlam the biggest spectacle in history. The Queen of Queens once again made her way to the ring as she had last week, this time to reveal a blockbuster SummerSlam main event that would see in the all-new era perfectly. But before she made the announcement, she brought out the brand new WCW World Champion, Seth Rollins and the ECW World Champion, Finn Bálor for an epic confrontation. Stephanie explained that with both WCW and ECW returning to the vault after SummerSlam, she intends to crown a brand new World Champion, and we will do that by having a rematch from SummerSlam 2016 as Seth Rollins and Finn Bálor will collide to unify the WCW and ECW World Championships, crowning a WWE Universal Champion! The WWE Universe erupted as the two came face-to-face with grins on their faces. Seth Rollins declared his respect for The Extraordinary Man, but also claimed that this time would not be the same result. But Bálor disagreed, informing Rollins that this time he will win, and no injury will stop him from reigning as the WWE Universal Champion. But before things could go any further, the pair were interrupted by the WWE World Champion, Daniel Bryan. The Planet's Champion expressed his disgust in what he had just heard, claiming to be the "only true World Champion" on the roster. He goes on to challenge either Rollins or Bálor to a match tonight to prove that he is the true World Champion. Just as The Architect is about to step forward, Bálor cuts him off, volunteering himself to take on Bryan, to which Stephanie McMahon reveals she feels is a great idea, scheduling the match for right now! ECW World Champion Finn Bálor def. WWE World Champion Daniel Bryan via disqualification With the WCW World Champion, Seth Rollins watching from ringside, Daniel Bryan and Finn Bálor clashed in an incredible bout, one filled with some of the greatest wrestling ever seen on WWE Raw. The ECW World Champion came close to taking out Bryan with a Coup de Grace, but Bryan was able to avoid the move and roll out of the ring. While outside, Bryan picked up his WWE World Championship, only for Seth Rollins to confront him and prevent him from using it. However, as the pair scuffled over the title belt, Bálor flew through the air and accidentally took out Rollins! Bryan slid in the ring with his title in hand as Bálor realised what he had done, returning to the ring after him. But the opportunity had presented itself and Bryan struck with the WWE World Championship, forcing the official to call for a disqualification. Bryan celebrated, despite having lost the match via disqualification, but he was taken by surprise when the number one contender, AJ Styles arrived, delivering a Phenomenal Forearm to Daniel Bryan! AJ Styles stood tall as Bryan retreated with the gold, all the while Rollins had recovered on the outside, giving a glare towards his SummerSlam adversary. Braun Strowman def. Baron Corbin The unstoppable force that is Braun Strowman would continue to run through the roster tonight, but it wasn't quite as easy as his previous encounters. Baron Corbin would put up a valiant fight against The Monster Among Men, as he too had been on somewhat of a roll, but he was still no match for the pure strength of Strowman. The big man claimed control of the match late on and planted his opponent with a running powerslam, driving The Lone Wolf into the canvas for the three count. If Baron Corbin cannot stop this monstrous competitor, then who can? And what role will Braun Strowman play at SummerSlam with the all-new era looming around the corner? Alexa Bliss, Mickie James, Mandy Rose & Sonya Deville def. Ember Moon, Naomi, Natalya & Dana Brooke The women's division will undoubtedly be a focal point of the all-new era, and tonight's Eight-Woman Tag Team Match was the perfect way to showcase some of the incredible talent the division has to offer. The union of Alexa Bliss, Mickie James, Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville were able to overcome the combination of Ember Moon, WCW's Naomi and ECW's Natalya and Dana Brooke, punching their tickets to opportunity when the all-new era arrives. Little Miss Bliss was the one to claim the victory, capitalising on the chaos with a Twisted Bliss to Dana Brooke. Robert Roode captures Hardcore Championship via 24/7 rule when Mike Kanellis vs. Nia Jax descends into chaos Finally, Nia Jax could get her hands on Mike Kanellis for the Hardcore Championship that she feels he robbed from her at WWE No Mercy. With Maria watching on worryingly from ringside, Kanellis tried to combat the power of his opponent, but Jax was having none of it, throwing Kanellis around the ring like he was nothing. When the weapons came into use, he did connect with a few chair shots to the spine, but Jax proved that this isn't a man's world at all when she turned the tables and planted him with a Samoan Drop through a table. However, before she could secure the pinfall, an array of superstars rushed the ring, from Apollo Crews and Curt Hawkins to Mojo Rawley and EC3, among many others. A mass brawl broke out during the Hardcore Championship bout, clearly fuelled by the unique 24/7 ruling of the title. Amidst the carnage, a wise Robert Roode crawled into the sea of superstars and covered Mike Kanellis, the official counting the three and securing him the title without barely lifting a finger. Quickly, The Glorious One retreated with his newly won title belt, but it wasn't long before the other superstars realised what had happened, and gave chase. Now that the 24/7 rule is in full effect, Robert Roode might have to reconsider being so keen to run his mouth in public. Roman Reigns def. Batista via disqualification; The Rock returns to join forces with Reigns and Austin for SummerSlam The world was watching, eagerly anticipating the reveal of Roman Reigns and Stone Cold's tag team partner at SummerSlam as promised by Mr. McMahon at the top of the show. But first, The Big Dog would have to go into battle against Evolution's Batista in the main event. The two powerhouses collided in a hard-hitting bout, all while Triple H and Randy Orton stood in The Animal's corner, and Stone Cold stood in Reigns'. For the most part, the match remained between the two official competitors, but everybody knew that Evolution would not keep their noses out for long, jumping in and attacking Reigns, causing a disqualification finish. The Texas Rattlesnake joined the fight to try and defend his fallen ally, but they were still outnumbered by one man. And it was then the the entire WWE Universe exploded as The Rock made a shocking return! The Great One powered down the aisle and unleashed all hell on Evolution, slapping the lips off anything that moved. Triple H quickly scarpered, fleeing up the aisle, leaving Batista to receive a thunderous Rock Bottom. Randy Orton climbed back to his feet, but unfortunately for him, walked into a Stone Cold Stunner! And that's not all, as he stumbled into a Spear from Roman Reigns as well! And finally, The People's Champion stood at his head before bouncing off the ropes and dropping the most electrifying move in sports entertainment - The People's Elbow! Evolution retreated as The Rock completed the trio with Stone Cold and Roman Reigns, revealing himself as the third man Mr. McMahon was referring to. The stage was then set. Evolution will take on Roman Reigns, Stone Cold Steve Austin and The Rock in a Six-Man Tag Team Match at WWE SummerSlam. If you smelllllll...

Shane McMahon interrupts Seth Rollins' SummerSlam address with a huge main event announcement Just a few days removed from the final pay-per-view before the all-new era unfolds, Seth Rollins emerged to open WCW Nitro as the brand new WCW World Champion, having defeated Drew McIntyre in the main event of Spring Stampede, not to mention competing in the opening contest as well against Dolph Ziggler to earn said opportunity. The Kingslayer thanked the WCW Universe for their support and explained how much the title means to him. He went on to refer to his SummerSlam encounter with Finn Bálor to crown the first WWE Universal Champion, and promised that he would let nothing get in the way of him recapturing the gold. But before he could continue, he was interrupted by none other than Shane McMahon. The Prodigal Son confronted the new WCW World Champion and congratulated him on his victory, only to inform him that he may not necessarily be the one going to SummerSlam, as tonight he will defend his newly minted title against the former Champion, Drew McIntyre, claiming that The Scottish Psychopath now has a fair amount of time to prepare for a single competitor. Rollins isn't too happy, but says that he will prove that his victory was decisive tonight. United States Champion Ricochet & Rey Mysterio def. WCW Tag Team Champions The Undisputed ERA; Mysterio challenges Ricochet to a match at SummerSlam WCW's resident superhero was finally able to topple the Undisputed ERA's Adam Cole to capture the United States Championship at WCW Spring Stampede. Tonight, Ricochet teamed with his wrestling hero, Rey Mysterio to take on Cole's allies, the WCW Tag Team Champions, Kyle O'Reilly and Bobby Fish. With the former United States Champion and Roderick Strong looking on from ringside, Ricochet and Mysterio were able to overcome the odds and defeat the black and yellow duo, once again getting one over on the Undisputed ERA. Moment after the closing bell, Rey Mysterio grabbed a microphone and expressed his desire to issue a challenge to Ricochet, respectfully challenging him to a United States Championship Match at the Biggest Party of the Summer. Ricochet barely even had to consider before accepting, explaining it would be his honour, and declares that they will tear the house down at SummerSlam. Ricochet and Rey Mysterio for the United States Championship in just two weeks! Drew Gulak def. Akira Tozawa The shocking assault on the Cruiserweight Champion, Ali and the number one contender Cedric Alexander at WCW Spring Stampede had the entire universe wanting to know Drew Gulak and Lars Sullivan's motives. Tonight, we received the answer to those questions as Gulak emerged to compete, dismantling Akira Tozawa in an impressive display, and taking the opportunity to declare his intention to become the new Cruiserweight Champion. And with Sullivan by his side, who is going to stop him? Moments after he made his post-match declaration, Gulak gave The Freak the instruction to deliver some further punishment to his adversary, planting Tozawa with a Freak Accident. What will Ali have to say to this monstrous challenge? Sheamus def. Elias The Celtic Warrior made his return to WCW by interrupting Elias' "management protest", delivering a Brogue Kick to The Sinister Songsmith. Unfortunately for Elias, tonight ended in much of the same as he faced off against Sheamus in the former World Champion's in-ring return and ate yet another Brogue Kick which allowed Sheamus to secure the victory. The Irishman clearly isn't a fan of Elias' music, but who is? AJ Styles def. Dolph Ziggler; Daniel Bryan unleashes a surprise attack After losing out on the opportunity to challenge for the WCW World Championship, Dolph Ziggler had plenty to say to the WCW Universe. He made his way to the ring to rant about how it "should be him" that walked out of Spring Stampede as the WCW World Champion. Luckily for the crowd, it wasn't too long before The Show-off was interrupted by the number one contender to the WWE Championship, AJ Styles, who saved the world from having to listen to more of Ziggler's complaints. He called the former World Champion a crybaby, which infuriated Ziggler, and an impromptu match began. The Phenomenal One was able to dispatch of The Show-off with a Styles Clash, but soon found himself on the receiving end of a running knee as the WWE Champion himself, Daniel Bryan struck from out of nowhere. The Planet's Champion stood over Styles to boos from the WCW Universe, having sent a clear message that he wasn't going down without a fight. Stephanie McMahon announces SummerSlam title match to crown the first SmackDown Women's Champion Charlotte Flair and Asuka put on an incredible display at WCW Spring Stampede in a match that was originally set to crown the inaugural WCW Women's Champion. However, due to the arrival of the all-new era, it was reverted back to a grudge match, but this didn't change the focus and determination of either superstar. Unfortunately, the match came to an indecisive close as both women were counted out following a high-risk moonsault to the outside by The Queen, resulting in a double countout. Tonight, Stephanie McMahon emerged to bring the two women face-to-face once again and announce that the pair would square off at WWE SummerSlam to find a deserving winner, and to make up for their original title plans being changed, it would be to crown the first SmackDown Women's Champion! Charlotte Flair and Asuka made each other aware that they were gunning for gold, but which of them will walk out victorious in two weeks? Shinsuke Nakamura def. Samoa Joe Another rematch from WCW Spring Stampede, Samoa Joe collided with Shinsuke Nakamura in hopes of avenging his loss at the pay-per-view event. Things were looking bleak for The King of Strong Style as Joe looked to be closing in on a second consecutive victory over his rival, but his actions on WWE Raw came back to haunt him, as Cesaro made a surprise appearance, distracting The Destroyer long enough for Nakamura to strike with a Kinshasa and claim his redemption victory. Samoa Joe was furious as Nakamura and Cesaro retreated up the aisle, but he needs to realise that his actions come with consequences, no matter how dangerous you might be. Seth Rollins def. Drew McIntyre to retain the WCW World Championship; Ric Flair issues a challenge to Shane McMahon Thanks to Shane McMahon, Seth Rollins was forced to defend his newly won WCW World Championship against the very same man he defeated, Drew McIntyre in tonight's main event. The Scottish Psychopath was being given a shot as a result of what Shane McMahon "substandard preparation time". The two collided in another hard-hitting encounter, much like their Spring Stampede battle, and it was made even more chaotic when Shane McMahon decided to join the party, making his way to ringside. But the Commissioner may live to regret that decision, as his presence brought out The Nature Boy, Ric Flair whom he had relieved of his duties this past weekend. The Hall of Famer unloaded on McMahon on the outside, finally getting his hands on the man who has made his life hell for weeks. The distraction allowed Seth Rollins to capitalise inside the ring and deliver a Stomp and pick up the victory, retaining the title. As Shane McMahon quickly retreated with Drew McIntyre in tow, the 16-time World Champion took to the microphone to issue a challenge to The Prodigal Son. A Street Fight. One-on-one. At SummerSlam. Shane accepted out of anger and Flair promised that he would give Shane the beating of his life as WCW Nitro came to a close.

Seth Rollins and Finn Bálor's confrontation is derailed by SAnitY The ECW World Champion, Finn Bálor arrived at The Land of Extreme tonight to address his pending SummerSlam encounter with Seth Rollins to crown the first WWE Universal Championship. Muck like Rollins had stated on WCW Nitro this past week, he was eager to state his claim to the same gold he captured against Rollins at the very same event just a few years ago. Suddenly, Bálor found himself interrupted by The Kingslayer himself and the two had a tense confrontation to kick off tonight's episode of ECW. But their confrontation was short-lived as SAnitY emerged, led by Eric Young. The unhinged superstar declared that since the disappearance of Bray Wyatt, they have been freed from his grasp, and believe that now is their time to take control . Young stated that SAnitY will wreak havoc in the all-new era, and it starts tonight when they dismantle two World Champions at once. Bálor steps up and says that they should back up their claims in the ring, and challenges them to a tag team match in tonight's main event, which Young gladly accepts. Tonight, Young's allies, Alexander Wolfe and Killian Dain will go head-to-head with ECW and WCW World Champions, Finn Bálor and Seth Rollins! Pete Dunne def. Kassius Ohno to retain the ECW Television Championship Continuing to live up to his "fighting Champion" claims, Pete Dunne once again put his title on the line, this time against a much larger opponent in Kassius Ohno. The Knockout Artist was keen to get his career back on track and get his hands on his first piece of gold, throwing everything he had at The Bruiserweight. But Dunne's determination is second-to-none, and it helped him pull through to deliver a thunderous Bitter End to Ohno, securing yet another victory. As the all-new era looms, Pete Dunne looks more impressive each and every week. Rusev def. No Way Jose It seems as though Rusev has truly had enough. Last week he dropped his ally, Aiden English, and this week he displayed a scary aggression, dismantling No Way Jose who had previously been on an impressive streak of his own. The Bulgarian Brute unleashed a relentless assault on The Dominican Dancing Machine, hitting him with power move after power move before finally putting him away with a sickening Machka Kick, laying No Way out for the count. After the match, an intense Rusev screamed to the ECW faithful as Lana watched on with a grin from ear-to-ear. Rusev is no longer taking prisoners, and he certainly isn't going to let this all-new era pass him by. ECW Tag Team Champions The Authors of Pain def. Breezango How do you stop The Authors of Pain? The answer is - you don't Akam and Rezar once again ran through a tag team in the form of Breezango this week, showing why they are the ECW Tag Team Champions. Ever since defeating the iconic Dudley Boyz, the duo have been unstoppable. And with Drake Maverick by their side to direct traffic, they are more dominant than ever. After disposing of Tyler Breeze with a huge assisted powerbomb, AOP dispatched Fandango with The Last Chapter to claim their win. The duo, along with their manager, Maverick stood tall to the dismay of the ECW crowd. Watch this space - The Authors of Pain are here. Sami Zayn vs. Tommaso Ciampa ends in a no contest when a mass brawl breaks out between Zayn and Kevin Owens For the first time in weeks, Sami Zayn stepped into one-on-one action ahead of his Hell in a Cell clash with Kevin Owens at SummerSlam. The Underdog from the Underground took on Tommaso Ciampa in a hard-hitting bout, keen to get some momentum going before colliding with his former best friend. The match didn't disappoint, but it didn't see a decisive finish due to the arrival of KO himself. The Prizefighter rushed to ringside and engaged in a hellacious brawl with his bitter enemy, tearing apart the ringside area between them as they brawled with absolutely no remorse. The chaotic fight would only be stopped when a series of ECW extremists arrived on the scene to separate the two. The locker room seemed to empty as they pulled apart the hatred-driven pair. Can the Cell even contain these two at SummerSlam? Shayna Baszler def. Candice LeRae It has almost become a guarantee that Shayna BAszler will dismantle an opponent each week. The unstoppable Queen of Spades claimed another victim as Candice LeRae looked to test her mettle against the dominant superstar. Despite her best efforts, LeRae fell victim to the same hold that has put away so many before her, the Kirifuda Clutch. Candice had no alternative but to submit, and Baszler knew that. The Queen of Spades stood tall and gestured that she wanted some tougher competition. But the question is, is there anybody who can stop this monstrous superstar? Aleister Black def. Rhyno The Dutch Destroyer has found his mojo, and continues to display his impressive ability. Since ridding himself of Bray Wyatt's haunting, Black has been able to find his former success. This week, he defeated ECW original, Rhyno after capitalising on a Gore attempt, delivering a Black Mass at the opportune moment to knock out the former ECW World Champion. With another victory under his belt, Aleister Black looked forward to the all-new era, eager to find himself a place at the top when the time comes. Ali and Cedric Alexander return the favour to Drew Gulak and Lars Sullivan The Kickoff Show of WCW Spring Stampede had an unfortunate end for the Cruiserweight Champion, Ali and his challenger, Cedric Alexander. And that was all thanks to Drew Gulak and Lars Sullivan. The pair dismantled both competitors and rendered the match a no contest, with Gulak then revealing his intentions to become the next Cruiserweight Champion. This past week on WCW Nitro, Gulak defeated Akira Tozawa and officially put his name in the hat for a title opportunity, and this week it seemed he was there to do the same. He laid out an official challenge to Ali for a match at SummerSlam, but his challenge was met with a physical answer. Now only from Ali, but from Cedric Alexander as well! Ali and Alexander emerged through the crowd, wielding steel chairs and unloaded on The Freak while Gulak was able to escape unscathed. Gulak and Sullivan retreated up the aisle in anger as Ali and Alexander stood side-by-side, standing up to the devious duo. You could say that his is "challenge accepted", but what is Cedric Alexander's role in all of this? ECW World Champion Finn Bálor & WCW World Champion Seth Rollins def. SAnitY As made official at the top of the show, the ECW and WCW World Champions united to take on the destructive force of SAnitY in tonight's main event. Eric Young watched from ringside as Alexander Wolfe and Killian Dain went into battle. Unfortunately for them, both World Champions were not willing to let their momentum be halted heading into SummerSlam and after an incredible bout, a combination of a Stomp, followed by a Coup de Grace to Wolfe was the deal maker and Bálor secured the final pinfall. Moments after the closing bell, Rollins and Bálor once again came face-to-face, holding their titles high. Which of them will leave SummerSlam in two weeks as the WWE Universal Champion? Will it be the same result as before?

The Rock addresses Evolution leading into a heated six-man confrontation Finally, The Rock has come back... home. The Great One opened tonight's edition of WWE Raw and directly addressed the upcoming Six-Man Tag Team Match at SummerSlam that will see him unite with his cousin, Roman Reigns and his long-time rival, Stone Cold Steve Austin to take on Evolution. Returning last week as the "third man" that Mr. McMahon had referred to when making the match, The Rock thanked the WWE Universe for their support of him over the years, and expressed how great it feels to be back between the ropes. But moving onto more pressing matters, The People's Champion warned Evolution that there was an ass-whooping coming their way, like it or not. The trio of Triple H, Randy Orton and Batista interrupted The Rock's speech as The Game explained that he should have stayed in Hollywood. The Viper stepped forward to vow that he will kill the legends of The Rock and Stone Cold, while Batista declared that he would leave Roman Reigns a broken man. The iconic trio slowly came closer and closer to the ringside area until Triple H threatened a pre-SummerSlam beatdown for the former World Champion. Never one to back down from a fight, The Rock simply had three words for them - "Just bring it". But before Evolution could strike, Roman Reigns and Stone Cold Steve Austin came through the crowd and stood beside their SummerSlam ally, evening the odds. Evolution quickly reconsidered their plan and instead decided to retreat to boos from the WWE Universe. But there will be no retreating this Sunday when all six men are in the ring in a battle for the ages. Cesaro & Shinsuke Nakamura def. Intercontinental Champion The Miz & Samoa Joe; Fatal 4-Way Match announced for WWE SummerSlam The Miz's attempt to get one over on Cesaro backfired last week when the very man who he chose to be his "stand-in", Samoa Joe attacked him and stated his claim to the Intercontinental Championship himself. However, after the events of WCW Nitro, the story had since developed and a tag team match kicked off tonight's edition of Raw. The team of Cesaro and Shinsuke Nakamura were able to take down The A-Lister and The Destroyer following a serious malfunction between the two not-so-friendly allies. With Miz's focus elsewhere, Nakamura capitalised and dropped the Intercontinental Champion with a Kinshasa for the victory. The chaos continued after the ring bell as Cesaro took the opportunity to strike and planted The King of Strong Style with a Neutraliser! Moments later, Cesaro was grabbed from behind and locked in the Coquina Clutch by Joe! But it was then that The A-Lister struck and got his revenge from last week, planting Samoa Joe with a Skull-Crushing Finale! We are told by Michael Cole on commentary that these four men would compete in Fatal 4-Way action at WWE SummerSlam with the Intercontinental Championship on the line. Chad Gable def. Robert Roode to become the new Hardcore Champion; Roode regains amidst 24/7 rule chaos The Hardcore Championship and its 24/7 ruling has meant nothing but carnage has followed wherever it goes. Robert Roode somehow managed to leave last week's Raw as the Hardcore Champion after pinning Mike Kanellis while chaos unfolded. Tonight, The Glorious One defended his title against Chad Gable, and in a shocking turn of events, Gable was able to defeat Roode with a German Suplex onto a steel chair. A new Hardcore Champion was crowned, but that also meant a new target was out and the locker room once again emptied to try and get their hands on some Hardcore Championship action. As a mass brawl broke out, Robert Roode capitalised on the situation once more nad rolled Gable up for a quick three count, reclaiming his title and making a run for it through the WWE Universe. Now that was glorious. Raw Women's Champion Becky Lynch vs. Sasha Banks ends in a no contest when Bayley attacks; Triple Threat Match confirmed for SummerSlam The rivalry between Becky Lynch and Sasha Banks finally came to a head tonight on WWE Raw as the pair collided in a match fuelled by bad blood. Back and forth they fought with both women wanting to tear the other apart. However, they forgot one small detail, and that's the added element of Bayley. The Huggable One (who was in the least huggable mood possible) rushed to ringside and confronted her former ally, Sasha Banks before planting The Boss with a thunderous Bayley-to-Belly. The WWE Universe erupted, but as Becky Lynch came to and stood beside the former Women's Champion, she too suffered the effects of a Bayley-to-Belly! Bayley stood tall over both women and screamed that she had had enough. Michael Cole confirmed that the three of them would compete at WWE SummerSlam in Triple Threat action for the newly-named Raw Women's Championship. Braun Strowman & Kurt Angle def. Bobby Lashley & Baron Corbin Braun Strowman made his way to the ring to address the recently announced Open Opportunity Battle Royal at SummerSlam, announcing himself as a competitor. However, as he was speaking his piece, he was interrupted by the duo of Bobby Lashley and Baron Corbin, both of whom have had run-ins with the big man in recent weeks. The pair declared that they would beat some respect into Strowman, and make him realise that it would be one of them with their hand raised at SummerSlam, not him. And just as they were about to unleash an attack on The Monster Among Men, the theme of Kurt Angle hit to a huge ovation. The Hall of Famer rushed to the ring and stood beside Braun Strowman, having had his own issues with both Lashley and Corbin. An impromptu tag team match took place and it was a huge running powerslam by Strowman onto Lashley that secured them the victory. The Olympic Hero and The Monster Among Men stood tall in celebration with the WWE Universe solidly behind him. WWE Tag Team Champion Kofi Kingston def. Matt Hardy Last week, Jeff Hardy was able to defeat one half of the WWE Tag Team Champions, Big E ahead of their title opportunity at SummerSlam. Tonight, Matt Hardy was not so lucky as he took on the other half, Kofi Kingston. The power of positivity seemed to thrive tonight as Kingston was able to slip out of a Twist of Fate attempt and immediately hit a Trouble In Paradise on the Team Xtreme member, flooring him for the three count. Once again, both teams came face-to-face and shared a respectful handshake. But which team will walk out of SummerSlam with the WWE Tag Team Championships? Ember Moon def. Alexa Bliss After leading respective teams into battle last week on WWE Raw, Alexa Bliss and Ember Moon had some unfinished business that led to this match. While we heard the announcement of a Men's Open Opportunity Battle Royal at SummerSlam, we are told that there will also be a female one as well. Hoping to get some momentum heading into the unique bout, these two collided and it was an impressive Eclipse from the top that secured Ember Moon the victory over the former Women's Champion. The War Goddess stood tall and looked to have all the momentum heading into SummerSlam. We could be looking at this Sunday's Battle Royal winner, and that would mean incredible opportunities await for Ember Moon. AJ Styles, WCW World Champion Seth Rollins & ECW World Champion Finn Bálor def. WWE World Champion Daniel Bryan, Drew McIntyre & Dolph Ziggler In what was perhaps one of the biggest main events in Raw's recent history, AJ Styles team up with the WCW and ECW World Champions, Seth Rollins and Finn Bálor to take on the WWE World Champion, Daniel Bryan and the duo of Drew McIntyre and Dolph Ziggler. An incredible main event to close the current season of WWE Raw as we head into an all-new era. We find out ahead of the match that both McIntyre and Ziggler will be participants in the Men's Open Opportunity Battle Royal, but tonight was about knocking off two World Champions and a number one contender for them. However, when Daniel Bryan decided it was time to abandon ship, leaving them to fend for themselves, they fell victim to a series of finishing moves from their adversaries. Seth Rollins delivered a thunderous Stomp to The Scottish Psychopath, removing him from the equation. And then moments later, Dolph Ziggler was dropped with a Styles Clash, leading into a Coup de Grace from Finn Bálor. The three stood tall as Daniel Bryan retreated up the aisle in a fit of rage. AJ Styles will challenge for the WWE World Championship at SummerSlam, while Rollins and Bálor will collide in their own match to crown the WWE Universal Champion. It's all to fight for when WWE SummerSlam airs this Sunday, only on the WWE Network!
