The Velveteen Dream assaults Ric Flair during WCW SuperBrawl announcement Tonight as supposed to be a celebration of WCW Nitro's success at the Royal Rumble, as not only did Drew McIntyre win the Men's Royal Rumble to earn a World Championship shot, but the victory also meant that WCW earned the right to host its own brand-exclusive pay-per-view event. General Manager, Ric Flair opened the show to reveal that WCW's exclusive event will take place in three weeks and would see an iconic event make its return - WCW SuperBrawl! But moments after the blockbuster announcement, The Velveteen Dream crashed the party and confronted The Nature Boy in the center of the ring, damning him for making him enter the Men's Royal Rumble Match at number one, resulting in him being forced to stay in WCW Nitro what he considers to be a "cesspool of talentless nobodies". Flair responded by informing The Dream that he isn't going to get away with his behaviour any more and promises that he will be forced to compete as he promised. But this didn't sit well with the flamboyant superstar who shockingly assaulted the WCW General Manager, unleashing a heinous attack and repeatedly stomping down on the WCW figurehead. The Dream left Flair laying before security rushed the ring and apprehended him, removing him from the ringside are by force as medical personnel tended to The Nature Boy. What has come over The Velveteen Dream? The Undisputed ERA def. The War Raiders, The Bar & The Good Brothers to become WCW Tag Team Champions WCW SuperBrawl may now be just around the corner, but the WCW Tag Team Championships were set to be awarded tonight to the winner of this huge Fatal 4-Way bout. All four teams were eager to get their hands on the vacant gold and bodies were flying everywhere as they scratched and clawed their way to victory. Perhaps not so surprisingly, Roderick Strong and the WCW United States Champion, Adam Cole were at ringside and played a vital role in Bobby Fish and Kyle O'Reilly's success, keeping The War Raiders at bay during the bout. And once The Bar had been taken down by Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson, they were left to suffer the loss as they dumped Gallows out of the ring and hit Anderson with the High/Low for the victory. The Undisputed ERA had claimed yet another piece of gold for their collection, standing alongside Adam Cole with his own title, and Roderick Strong making a gesture that it was his turn next, perhaps looking towards a title of his own. But which? Asuka def. Lacey Evans Welcome to Nitro, Lacey! The self-proclaimed "Lady" of WCW Nitro, Lacey Evans made her debut in the Women's Royal Rumble Match entering at number 30, but unfortunately for her, she was a target for everyone involved in the match at that point and was unceremoniously dumped over the ropes before she even had a chance to showcase her ability. Looking to redeem herself, she took to the ring tonight for her singles debut, only to come face-to-face with The Empress of Tomorrow, Asuka. After coming so close this past weekend, Asuka was not in the best of moods and was here to take out her frustrations on anyone she could get her hands on. It just so happens that tonight it was Lacey Evans. Once again, The Lady was stopped before she could even begin and fell victim to the Asuka Lock, forcing her to submit. The Japanese superstar stood tall and screamed with the WCW Universe behind her, showing respect for her valiant effort. But sure enough, Asuka will rise again and have her opportunity when the time is right. Rey Mysterio def. EC3 It seems as though a certain duo have taken an interest in Rey Mysterio. As The Master of the 619 competed against EC3 tonight on WCW Nitro, they were joined at ringside by Andrade "Cien" Almas and Zelina Vega. The pair surveyed the ringside area and watched on as Mysterio went toe-to-toe with his opponent. However, their presence seemed to distract the former World Champion more than anything and perhaps threw him off his game, but this didn't stop him from claiming victory, tripping EC3 up onto the ropes, delivering the 619 and finishing him off with a Frog Splash for the win. After the match, Mysterio glared out through the ropes at his observers, but Almas and Vega stepped away from the ring, only to shake their heads and walk away as the masked luchadore looked on in confusion. What was all that about? Michael Cole provides an update on Ric Flair's current condition After the shocking display earlier in the night that saw The Velveteen Dream assault General Manager, Ric Flair, many were left wondering of the condition of The Nature Boy. Michael Cole was on hand to provide a medical update on the 16-time World Champion, claiming that he had been taken to a nearby medical facility for stitches and luckily hasn't suffered any major injuries. "The Dream was just doing what he had to to get noticed" declared Corey Graves, receiving some shocked expressions from Cole and Saxton. Wishing Ric Flair a speedy recovery, the commentary team signed off by informing us that The Velveteen Dream had been escorted from the arena by security and has been suspended until further notice. But as the saying goes - the show must go on. Samoa Joe def. Shinsuke Nakamura The Destroyer was furious that he had lost to AJ Styles at the Royal Rumble despite vowing to take the WCW World Championship from him. With his chance gone, he was on a war path and Shinsuke Nakamura was his first victim. The King of Strong Style put up a fight as always, both these men knowing each other very well and they went back-and-forth for what seemed like an eternity until Samoa Joe unleashed his pent up aggression and put Nakamura away with the Muscle Buster. But after the bell, Joe continued to assault his adversary, beating him down repeatedly with a crazed look in his eye. It wasn't until Seth Rollins emerged to make the save that the onslaught stopped and The Architect took his arch-rival down a peg. With Samoa Joe in retreat, Seth Rollins tended to Nakamura in the ring, showing that this rivalry is far from over. They've torn chunks out of each other for the last six weeks and there's no end in sight. But when it comes down to it, only one of them will be able to leave in one piece, and they know that. When will this bitter rivalry come to an end? Charlotte Flair def. Kairi Sane Despite the situation with her father earlier in the night, Charlotte Flair put on a brave face and took to the ring for action against the impressive Kairi Sane. With her father clearly still at the back of her mind, Charlotte looked to be somewhat distracted, but still powere through and after an unbelievable battle with The Pirate Princess, it was The Queen that walked away with the victory, forcing her to submit to the Figure-Eight Leglock. After the match, Flair grabbed the microphone and wished her father a speedy recovery before stating that she intended to put her name forward to challenge Becky Lynch for the Women's World Championship at WCW SuperBrawl, inviting The Man to the brand-exclusive event to defend her title. But can Charlotte Flair just put herself in that position when so many other superstars are eligible to compete for the gold? Either way, she is the first to lay out the challenge. Will Becky Lynch respond? Ricochet def. Chris Jericho Chris Jericho is known for his mouth and his ego, both of which he displayed on tonight's WCW Nitro. The former World Champion took to the ring and demanded some respect after being overlooked the last few weeks and being disrespected in the Men's Royal Rumble by being entered early at number 10. Issuing an open challenge to any "jackass" that thinks they're better than him, he stood ready for battle, only to be greeted by the debuting Ricochet to the delight of the WCW crowd. The high-flying superstar answered the challenge and went toe-to-toe with the legendary Y2J in an incredible bout. Jericho believed he had Ricochet beat with the Walls of Jericho at one point, but Ricochet's leg strength allowed him to escape the hold and hit a huge leaping roundhouse kick before delivering his awe-inspiring 630 Senton and picking up perhaps the biggest victory of his entire career. The WCW Universe erupted as Ricochet secured the win and left Jericho looking on in a fit of rage. If we know Y2J, he won't let this go, and Ricochet may very well have to have eyes in the back of his head going forward in his WCW career. But nonetheless, The One and Only has arrived in Nitro! WCW World Champion AJ Styles def. WCW United States Champion Adam Cole Champion versus Champion. What better way to close the night? AJ Styles and Adam Cole clashed in a huge main event, both having momentum heading into it. The Phenomenal One was just days removed from retaining his World Championship against Samoa Joe at the Royal Rumble, while earlier in the night, Adam Cole's Undisputed ERA captured the WCW Tag Team Championships, making this match even more exciting. As both Champions gave there all to be the best Champion WCW Nitro has to offer, they pulled out all the stops. Bobby Fish, Kyle O'Reilly and Roderick Strong stood at ringside to support their leader in this unique matchup, but even with all the distractions, The Phenomenal One was able to overcome the odds, knocking Roderick Strong off the ring apron into Fish and O'Reilly to subdue the outside interference and then hit Adam Cole with a Phenomenal Forearm to claim the win. The WCW World Champion raised his title in celebration, having crowned himself the Champion of Champions on this occasion, but his victory was soon dampened by the arrival of the man of the moment, the Men's Royal Rumble winner - Drew McIntyre! Drew McIntyre strikes and reveals he will challenge for the WCW World Championship at WCW SuperBrawl AJ Styles was blindsided by a vicious Claymore kick, grounding the WCW World Champion instantly. The Sinister Scot then went on to brutalise The Phenomenal One, hitting him with three consecutive Future Shock DDTs before standing over the bloodied and battered superstar. Grabbing a microphone, the Royal Rumble winner declared that he would be cashing in his privilege to challenge for any World Championship at WCW SuperBrawl, revealing that he will face AJ Styles in the main event. And with that, he grabbed the WCW World Championship and raised it into the air as Styles writhed in pain on the canvas. Could this be a sign of things to come when The Phenomenal One defends his gold against The Scot Terminator at WCW SuperBrawl?

Johnny Gargano interrupts ECW World Champion Finn Bálor with a proposal The Extraordinary Man accomplished what he set out to do at the Royal Rumble and that's become the ECW World Champion. Finally defeating Kevin Owens, Bálor stood tall and held the extreme prize in front of a jam-packed crowd. Tonight, he came to the ring to celebrate his victory with his Bálor Club - the ECW faithful. Thanking them for their support, Bálor promised that he would always give them the show that they deserve and always take it to the extreme. But his speech was cut short by the arrival of an unexpected guest in Johnny Gargano. Cutting right to the chase, he congratulated Bálor on his victory before suggesting that he be the first man to challenge for his newly won ECW World Championship. Vowing to earn his position as number one contender, Johnny Wrestling challenge Bálor to a non-title bout tonight with the understanding that if he wins, he will be next in line for a title shot. The Extraordinary Man acknowledge his requested and extended his hand, sealing the deal. In what appears to be a respectful agreement, Johnny Gargano will take on Finn Bálor in tonight's main event and if Gargano wins, he becomes the number one contender for the ECW World Championship. Bianca Belair, Candice LeRae & Dakota Kai def. The Riott Squad After debuting in the Women's Royal Rumble as part of Paul Heyman's own personal women's revolution for ECW, Bianca Belair, Candice LeRae and Dokata Kai took to the ring for siz-woman tag team action to kick off tonight's edition of ECW. The three females went up against ECW's resident rebels, The Riott Squad and somehow came out on top after showcasing each of their unique abilities. Belair picked up the deciding pin with her KOD. After the match, the trio celebrated their victory, but it appeared that Bianca Belair was trying to ensure the spotlight was solely on her. As LeRae and Kai took issue with this, Belair shrugged them off and left the ring alone, leaving them confused. It seems like The EST doesn't want to share the glory with anyone else. Kassius Ohno def. Rusev The ongoing rivalry between these two men continued into tonight's episode of ECW, but it may well have now come to its end. After weeks of torment at the hands of Rusev Day, Kassius Ohno finally got the victory over The Bulgarian Brute, knocking him out with his patented KO Elbow. Aiden English and Lana tried to prevent their beloved Rusev from losing, but Ohno was so focused on victory tonight that nothing could stop him. He slipped out of The Accolade and delivered the final blow for the win and stood tall before the ECW fans. Raising his hand into the air, he bellowed that his time is now, and he could be right. Rusev Day retreated in anger, realising that their moment had just been cancelled, courtesy of a KO Elbow. Rob Van Dam def. Bray Wyatt; Lars Sullivan strikes Rob Van Dam entered the Royal Rumble at number 2 to represent ECW, but despite a valiant showing he was unable to win. Also entering the bout for The Land of Extreme was the dark and devious Bray Wyatt, and the two collided tonight on ECW in a back and forth match. The Eater of Worlds looked to continued his dominant streak since arriving in ECW, but he was no match for the former World Champion, RVD who was able to put The Reaper away with an impressive Five-Star Frog Splash, utilising a steel chair for added impact. Almost immediately following the ring bell, Van Dam was blindsided by none other than the monstrous Lars Sullivan. Flanked by his "handler", Drew Gulak, Sullivan went on to tear RVD apart with vicious intent, eventually throwing him and himself from the ring apron through a table with a uranage that had the crowd chanting "Holy crap!". Gulak grabbed a microphone and declared Rob Van Dam as part of the problem here in ECW, but now everyone can consider it "problem solved". Officials rushed to tend to RVD as Sullivan and Gulak left ringside having done the damage. Kevin Owens turns on his best friend Sami Zayn in horrifying act of violence Safe to say, Kevin Owens was furious about losing the ECW World Championship at the Royal Rumble, and we were always guaranteed to hear about how angry he is. But nobody could have expected what transpired. The Prizefighter came to the ring, alongside his best friend, Sami Zayn to address the ECW crowd about his loss this past weekend. With rage in his voice, he screamed that he should still be the ECW World Champion, and he should be the one in tonight's main event, but instead he's here without a match having to plead and beg to be noticed yet again. While he seems set on blaming his loss on the disrespect given to him by the fans, he then surprisingly turns to his best friend and simply asks "Where were you?". The Underdog looks confused and is about to respond when Owens screams directly into his face "Where were you?!". Of course, Zayn provides his answer, explaining that he was preparing for the Men's Royal Rumble Match and Owens knew that. KO ran his hands through his hair and took a deep breath, seeming to calm down and going on to apologise to Zayn for lashing out. The pair embrace and all seems well until Owens strikes, kicking Zayn between the legs with a low blow! The crowd watch in horror as he unloads a rage-fuelled attack on the man he called his best friend, repeatedly smacking him in the head with right hand after right hand. The former ECW World Champion grabbed a steel chair from ringside and proceeded to beat Zayn senseless with the weapon. The final act of evil was committed when he wrapped the steel chair around Zayn's neck and let out an almighty roar before driving his foot into the chair, crushing the throat of his former ally. "What is wrong with this psycho?!" shouted Michael Cole as Owens stepped back, watching Zayn writhe around the canvas in pain, blood pouring from his mouth. He stood back with a vacant stare and sunk into the corner as medical personnel rushed to the scene. Owens was escorted away from ringside as Zayn was lifted onto a stretcher. Kevin Owens has crossed the line. The Dudley Boyz def. The Colóns They may have been unsuccessful in their attempts to become ECW Tag Team Champions, but The Dudley Boyz are back nonetheless. Bubba Ray and D-Von returned to action this week with a victory over Primo and Epico Colón, redeeming their loss last week by putting Primo through a table with a 3-D for the win. After the match, the multi-time Tag Team Champions celebrated, only to be confronted by the very team that defeated them last week, the ECW Tag Team Champions - The Bludgeon Brothers. The two teams stood across the ring from each other in a tense moment that had the ECW faithful going wild. But rather than come to blows, Harper and Rowan left the ring and left, clearly out there to send a message to The Dudleyz and nothing more. These two teams are sure to collide again in the future, and it will be one you won't want to miss when they do. Shayna Baszler def. Dana Brooke Nobody could have predicted the arrival of The Queen of Spades in the Women's Royal Rumble Match, especially not her confrontation with WWE Raw's Ronda Rousey. But she was one of Paul Heyman's special signings and now Baszler resides in The Land of Extreme. The Submission Magician was victorious in her ECW debut, forcing Dana Brooke to submit to the Kirifuda Driver as Dana's close friend, Natalya watched on from her corner at ringside. The former cage fighter stood tall in victory and motioned for Natalya to come and get a piece of the action, but she pulled her friend from the ring and helped her up the aisle. Could this be a sign of things to come? Will we get to see The Queen of Spades and The Queen of Harts collide in ECW? Dean Ambrose challenges Jeff Hardy to an Asylum Match next week on ECW The phrase "bitter enemies" isn't enough to describe the relationship between Dean Ambrose and Jeff Hardy, and after weeks of back and forth torment, it found its way into the Men's Royal Rumble Match when Jeff Hardy entered and made a beeline for Ambrose, eliminating both him and himself from the match, showing no concern for the match itself, but only on getting his hands on The Lunatic Fringe. Ambrose made his way to the ring on ECW to address his rage at Jeff Hardy's actions and promised that he would regret the day he ever crossed him. But he wasn't just out here to express his emotions, as he made an official challenge to The Charismatic Enigma for a match next week. Not just any match. An Asylum Match. What is that, you ask? Who knows. Perhaps it only exists in the mind of the deranged lunatic, but whatever the case, he invited Hardy to face him in what he described as "his own personal hell" where he vows to put an end to Hardy's superhero image and show the ECW fans the true Jeff Hardy. What will Ambrose have in store for his nemesis inside his suspiciously-named construction? Aleister Black def. Oney Lorcan The Dutch Destroyer entered the Royal Rumble Match after putting his rivalry with SAnitY behind him, and tonight looked to continue forward to get himself back on the right path. Oney Lorcan proved to be a worthy opponent for The Ominous Man, but with Black's determination to get back on the winning side, he was unable to take him down. One Black Mass later and Lorcan was out cold, allowing Aleister Black to secure the victory and get back to his winning ways. With SAnitY now in his past, where will The Dutch Destroyer go from here? He's a man of many mysteries, so the answer won't be clear, but wherever he goes from here, there's every chance that it's going to be truly evil. Johnny Gargano def. ECW World Champion Finn Bálor to become number one contender for the ECW World Championship Maybe Johnny Gargano's respectful challenge wasn't so genuine after all. He and Finn Bálor clashed in tonight's main event, a match that was agreed at the top of the show under what was believed to be a mutual respect agreement. It began as expected, with a handshake and a display of pure in-ring ability. Back and forth the pair went in one of ECW's greatest main events in history, both men scoring two counts left and right with the ECW faithful going crazy for the impressive display they were watching. But just as The Extraordinary Man appeared to be gaining the upper hand as he ascended the ropes for his Coup de Grace, he was suddenly tripped, landing in no man's land on the top turnbuckle. And the man who tripped him? Tommaso freakin' Ciampa. The Psycho Killer emerged in ECW uninvited and entered the ring, pulling Bálor from the top rope and planting him with a Project Ciampa. He then turned his attention to his former ally, Johnny Gargano, grabbing him by the head and pulling him to his feet, presumably as his next victim. But on... Ciampa embraced Gargano and the two had grins from ear-to-ear, both turning their attention to the fallen ECW World Champion. They deliver their old signature Meeting in the Middle, knocking Bálor out cold, which allowed Gargano to hook the leg as Ciampa screamed at the official to count the three. Johnny Wrestling had sold out, and the ECW fans made sure that he knew it. The former DIY, now reunited, stood tall over the ECW World Champion looking proud of their handiwork, knowing that Gargano had manipulated his way into the ECW World Championship picture. This disgusting act of disrespect left the ECW fans in a rage, but two people who certaintly didn't care what they thought was Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa.

Roman Reigns reveals he will challenge Daniel Bryan for the WWE World Championship in two weeks The Big Dog climbed back to the top of the food chain last week, overcoming Braun Strowman, Randy Orton and The Miz to become the number one contender for Daniel Bryan's WWE World Championship. Now the wait begins as Roman Reigns opened up this week's episode to reveal that the date had been set and he would face Daniel Bryan in two weeks, live on WWE Raw! After addressing the time and place of his title bout, he went on to express how much it means to him to reach the top again after his recent battle with leukaemia. The Big Dog declared that this wasn't just for him, but for everyone who is fighting for something or someone in their life, and to prove that no matter what the odds, we can overcome them together. But his emotional address was rudely interrupted by the arrival of a disrespectful A-Lister - The Miz. He and his wife, Maryse exclaimed that it should be him competing for the WWE World Championship, believing he was wrongly defeated as he was never pinned. Reigns invited him into the ring, only for him to decline and claim that he would be seeking advice on the matter. But as he turned away, he was cut off by General Manager, Stone Cold Steve Austin who informed The Miz that he needn't seek any advice, because the answer is "Hell no"! He then explained that The Miz was due for action tonight - right now in fact - against Roman Reigns! Roman Reigns def. The Miz It seems as though The Miz wasn't prepared to be thrown into a match by Stone Cold, but it was obvious that Austin didn't give a damn. The bell rang for the impromptu bout and The Big Dog struck his A-List adversary with everything he had. To his credit, The Miz put up a fight against Reigns once he found his footing, but it was the number one contender who hit the final blow, drilling him with a Spear as Maryse watched on in horror. With a victory under his belt, Reigns could continue to look ahead to his title bout with Daniel Bryan in two weeks time. Could The Big Dog be just a short while away from recapturing the title he once held and once again standing tall over the competition? If it's anything to do with "The New" Daniel Bryan though, it will be no easy task. At least the doubt raised by The Miz could now be put to rest - he's just been pinned by Roman Reigns. Bobby Lashley def. Chad Gable With the appointment of Lio Rush as his adviser, Bobby Lashley's career resurgence continued into this week. It seems that the partnership with Rush has lit a fire beneath Lashley and put him back on the right track, scoring a victory over Apollo Crews last week, and picking up another win over Chad Gable this week. The All-Mighty showcased his power against the talented Gable, driving him into the canvas with his signature Dominator for the win. After the bell, Lio Rush once again took to the microphone as he did last week, bellowing "All hail The All-Mighty, Bobby Lashley!" to a negative reaction from the WWE Universe. Lashley may be back on winning terms, but at what cost? Regardless, the former United States Champion seemed to care little for the crowd's opinion and celebrated with his ally in victory. Ronda Rousey def. Alexa Bliss via disqualification; Nia Jax assaults Rousey After defeating Mickie James last week and sending a warning to Little Miss Bliss, Alexa was forced to fend for herself in this bout with The Rowdy One. And with Mickie on the sidelines with an injury sustained during her battle with Rousey, it truly was a one-on-one situation. While she was able to hold her own against the former UFC Champion, it was only a matter of time before Rousey saw the opening to apply her signature armbar and secure the win. But before she could lock in the devastating hold, she was blindsided by none other than Nia Jax. The Irresistible Force ran right through The Rowdy One, causing the disqualification and astonishingly manhandled the former cage fighter, planting her with a huge Samoan Drop, laying her out in the center of the ring. Jax gave a glare to Alexa Bliss who wanted no part of the monstrous female, quickly fleeing from ringside. Nia Jax stood tall over The Most Dangerous Woman on the Planet, having potentially put her own name forward to take that moniker for herself. What does Jax want with Rousey? "The New" Daniel Bryan berates the WWE Universe and vows to defeat Roman Reigns in two weeks Everybody has their own opinions and lifestyle choices, but Daniel Bryan refuses to stop until everyone sees the world as he does. The WWE World Champion appeared before the WWE Universe on the titantron to berate them for the way they live their lives, calling them "disgusting, blood-hungry creatures". This didn't sit well with the fans in attendance, but their response only made Bryan more eager to push his message upon them. Once he had finished lecturing the public on what they should and should not do, he then addressed his challenger, Roman Reigns. Bryan declared that he isn't afraid of The Big Dog, vowing to retain his title in two weeks and set yet another fine example of what a Champion should be. The Street Profits def. WWE Tag Team Champions The Revival Last week, The Revival issued an open challenge that was unexpectedly answered by the debuting Heavy Machinery, landing them with a shock loss. This week, the WWE Tag Team Champions stormed to the ring to demand a rematch with Otis and Tucker, claiming their victory to be a simple fluke. However, rather than the two big men responding to the call, Dash and Dawson were greeted by another brand new team in The Street Profits. Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins made their way to the ring and issued their own challenge to reigning title holders, and in the heat of the moment, The Revival accepted. This led to yet another upset which saw The Street Profits defeat Dawson with a Pop-up Spinebuster and a Frog Splash combination, landing perhaps their biggest win ever. As the pair left with their debut victory now under their belt, The Revival were once again left furious at their loss. Are the WWE Tag Team Champions having some bad luck or what? Randy Orton def. Braun Strowman They may have come up short in last week's number one contendership main event, but that didn't stop them wanting to continue clawing their way to the top. Randy Orton and Braun Strowman clashed one-on-one hoping to redeem last week's unfortunate loss, but as we all know, only one man can walk away with that privilege. The Monster Among Men used his brute force to keep Orton at bay, but if we know anything it's that The Viper can strike at any time. After slipping out of a powerslam attempt, Orton struck with the RKO, grounding the big man instantly. But somehow, Strowman was able to kick out! In a state of shock, Orton looked around wondering what he has to do to keep his adversary down, only to deliver a second, more impactful RKO and pick up the win. The Viper stood tall having slayed the giant and left the ring in celebration before Strowman could get back to his feet. Having taken two RKOs, how will Strowman move forward from this devastating loss? Mike Kanellis def. Heath Slater The lovebirds made their arrival on WWE Raw last week, shoving their romance down the throats of anyone watching. Tonight though, we got the chance to see Mike Kanellis in action, and he's far from a lover in the ring, showing his aggression and laying waste to Heath Slater with his ability. He planted The One Man Band with his Power of Love to secure the victory and celebrated with his loving wife. An uncomfortable display of affection closed the match as the two expressed their love for one another in front of the world. Is it sweet? Maybe just a little. But it's definitely something that we're all going to get tired of hearing. Bobby Roode vs. John Cena never began A match was scheduled between Bobby Roode and John Cena this week at Roode's request after he believed that the former 16-time World Champion cost him his Intercontinental Championship against Tyler Bate. Cena made his way to the ring, ready to take on The Glorious One that he had put in his place last week, but as the lights went out for Roode's signature entrance, The Cenation Leader was assaulted from behind. When the lights returned, Roode was already in the ring and began beating down on his adversary, repeatedly shouting that he had cost him his title. The former Intercontinental Champion planted Cena with a Glorious DDT before officials rushed to ringside to regain order. The match was apparently thrown out as Roode was escorted up the aisle, leaving Cena reeling. The former World Champion managed to get to his feet and looked out to Roode at the top of the stage with a glare. John Cena doesn't forget, and this is sure to come to a head soon enough. Women's World Champion Becky Lynch, Sasha Banks & Bayley def. Absolution Having friends to watch your back is always good, especially when you find yourself outnumbered. Becky Lynch found this out when Absolution decided to unleash a 3-on-1 attack on the Women's World Champion last week, only for Sasha Banks and Bayley to come to the aid of their close friend. With the three females standing side-by-side, the score was evened and it led to this huge Six-Woman Tag Team main event. Paige led her team into battle, hoping that she, Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville could score a huge victory over the three former Women's Champions, but it wasn't to be. The unity of Lynch, Banks and Bayley was undeniable and after a long battle, it was The Man's devastating Dis-Arm-Her that ended the night for Absolution, landing them with the victory. Three of the Four Horsewomen had reunited on WWE Raw and were victorious in the process, standing side-by-side in victory and sharing an emotional embrace. And while the show faded to a close and left the air, Becky Lynch decided that she had something she wanted to get off her chest, and it involved the absent fourth Horsewoman - WCW Nitro's Charlotte Flair. Post-Show Exclusive: Becky Lynch reveals she will be at WCW Nitro this week to confront Charlotte Flair and respond to her challenge The Man grabbed a microphone from ringside and thanked the live crowd for their attendance, but it wasn't just a heartfelt thankyou she was giving. She demanded that a camera be recording her as she looked dead into the lens, addressing Charlotte Flair. The Women's World Champion acknowledged The Queen's challenge she made last week on WCW Nitro and promised that she would be there in person this week to respond. Raising her hand to the camera, The Man told Flair to "bring it on, bitch!" as the camera quickly cut away. The battle lines have been drawn, and we're going to see Becky Lynch traverse the brand divide to confront The Queen in what is sure to be a must-see moment this week on WCW Nitro. Don't miss it!

Drew McIntyre addresses his WCW World Championship Match with AJ Styles at WCW SuperBrawl The winner of the Men's Royal Rumble Match, Drew McIntyre revealed his target last week in unforgettable fashion. The Sinister Scot manhandled the WCW World Champion, AJ Styles following his main event bout with WCW United States Champion, Adam Cole. McIntyre laid waste to his future adversary and made an impactful statement, making it clear that he intends to become the WCW World Champion at WCW SuperBrawl. The Scot Terminator made his way to the ring to thunderous boos, but cared little for the crowd's reaction. He addressed his current standing as number one contender and declared it was a "sure thing" that he would leave WCW SuperBrawl with the gold, believing it to be his true calling. After years and years of setbacks, he has finally reached where he knows he belongs, and there's nobody that can stop him. He then mentions that tonight, he and AJ Styles will share the same ring in a tag team match, and he vows that tonight's episode of WCW Nitro will end in the exact same manner as last week - with AJ Styles in a bloodied, battered mess at the feet of the next WCW World Champion - Drew McIntyre. Seth Rollins def. Elias; Samoa Joe attacks Seth Rollins may have come to the aid of Shinsuke Nakamura last week to thwart the plans of his arch-nemesis Samoa Joe, but this week it came back to bite him. The Architect kicked off the in-ring action in a bout with The Sinister Songsmith, Elias and was able to walk out victorious after hitting his adversary with The Stomp. However, as the former World Champion returned up the aisle towards the backstage area, he turned for a moment to give the WCW fans one last show of appreciation. This turned out to be a big mistake as Samoa Joe emerged from out of nowhere and crept up behind his rival, applying the Coquina Clutch and dragging him to the floor. He continued to wrench away even when officials arrived to separate the two. The Destroyer shifted into an unstable mind as he tightened his grip, screaming "You did this to yourself, you son of a bitch!" as referees and security did anything they could to pry him away. Eventually, they managed to pull him out of the hold and regain control, but the damage had been done. The bad blood between these two men isn't going to disappear, and it seems like it's only heading one way. Asuka & Kairi Sane def. The IIconics Both of these superstars may have come up short in the Women's Royal Rumble Match just a couple of weeks ago, but since then they have put on impressive performances last week. Asuka made quick work of the debuting Lacey Evans last week, while Kairi Sane put on an incredible performance against Charlotte Flair. Tonight, they united against the team of Billie Kay and Peyton Royce, better known as The IIconics. While the Australian duo may have the most experience as a unit, they couldn't overcome the intensity of The Empress of Tomorrow and The Pirate Princess, with Kay receiving a huge InSane Elbow and Royce finding herself trapped in the Asuka Lock, forced to submit. The two Japanese sensations celebrated their victory side-by-side as WCW Nitro continued. Andrade "Cien" Almas def. Kalisto It was a strange moment last week when Andrade "Cien" Almas and Zelina Vega came to the ring during Rey Mysterio's match with EC3. Their intentions are still very much a mystery, but tonight we got to see El Idolo in action. His opponent was another luchadore in Kalisto, and an impressive contest took place between the two highly skilled superstars. However, after Almas used Kalisto's mask against him, pulling it down over his eyes in an act of disrespect in their Mexican culture, he delivered his signature Hammerlock DDT for the victory. After the match, Zelina Vega grabbed a microphone and claimed that Rey Mysterio does not compare to Andrade "Cien" Almas, and isn't even in the same league. She revealed that their presence last week was to take the opportunity to witness on of the great Rey Mysterio's last matches, before El Idolo forces him into the shadows as the inferior luchadore. As they left ringside, many were still left confused as to where this animosity came from, but nonetheless, it seems that the gauntlet has been set. The Velveteen Dream mockingly apologises for his actions last week against Ric Flair Last week's edition of WCW Nitro had a horrifying start. As the General Manager, Ric Flair took to the ring to make announce the upcoming WCW SuperBrawl event, he was interrupted by The Velveteen Dream who not only disrespect Flair and the entire WCW locker room, but viciously assaulted The Nature Boy in a vile attack that left the former 16-time World Champion requiring medical attention. The Dream made his way to the ring this week, receiving a lot of hostility from the WCW crowd, initially looking regretful of his actions. As he entered the ring and grabbed a microphone, he began to express his disappointment in himself, claiming to be filled with regret being disgusted in himself. But it quickly became clear that this apology was insincere as he exclaimed what he regretted was not finishing the job and making sure The Nature Boy never styled and profiled ever again! Going on a hateful rant, The Velveteen Dream declared that WCW Nitro isn't worth his time, and what he did to Ric Flair last week was only a small piece of what should have been done, and when Flair returns he will make sure he finished the job this time. "You want an apology?" he asked the WCW crowd, "Well you can kiss my ass, sisters!" he shouted before dropping the microphone and raising his hands into the air, as if it wash his hands of the matter. The Velveteen Dream left the ring with a smug grin as the WCW fans rained down boos on him. But he didn't care, he wasn't at all interested. This man is as selfish and disrespectful as they come. The Undisputed ERA def. The War Raiders to retain the WCW Tag Team Championships An impressive victory last week landed The Undisputed ERA with another unit of gold, capturing the WCW Tag Team Championships in a Fatal 4-Way contest. With Adam Cole currently holding the United States Championship as well, they are well on their way to taking over WCW Nitro in its entirety. But hot on their heels were The War Raiders who were granted a title match on tonight's episode, hoping to cut O'Reilly and Fish's reign short. However, with Cole and Roderick Strong once again at ringside to play a vital role, throwing Hanson into the steel steps on the outside while the official was distracted, it allowed KOR to apply the guillotine choke and cause Rowe to pass out, meaning that The Undisputed ERA would retain the titles and remain in control of the tag team division. They celebrated the win and Adam Cole took to the ring to make a statement, declaring that he was challenging anyone in the back to rise to the occasion and earn their place as number one contender for his title at WCW SuperBrawl. Will anyone step up to the plate and challenge the leader of Undisputed ERA? Hideo Itami def. Akira Tozawa; Mustafa Ali returns The vicious Hideo Itami had been destroying the competition ever since losing to Mustafa Ali in the WCW Cruiserweight Championship bout weeks ago. This week, he took on Akira Tozawa and once again displayed a merciless aggression, beating down his fellow countryman and eventually delivering a stiff Go To Sleep to his adversary for the victory. However, as Itami once again grabbed a microphone as he had done just two weeks ago and began shouting in his native language, he was caught off-guard by a returning Mustafa Ali. The WCW Cruiserweight Champion unleashed a vengeful attack on the Japanese sensation to the delight of the fans, eventually throwing him to the outside and launching himself over the ropes to take down his rival. Officials rushed to ringside and regained control of the situation as Ali retreated, shouting at Itami as he was ushered to the back. Hideo looked on in a fit of rage, realising that he had been humiliated by Ali, and his own actions had come back to haunt him. Women's World Champion Becky Lynch accepts Charlotte Flair's challenge; Lacey Evans interrupts and pays for it One of the main talking points of this week's edition of WCW Nitro was the impending arrival of Women's World Champion, Becky Lynch. The WWE Raw superstar revealed she would be in attendance tonight this past week on WWE Raw, responding to Charlotte Flair's challenge last week. The time had come as The Queen took to the ring and called out The Man, eager to hear her response in person. Of course, Becky Lynch arrived and confronted her challenger, exchanging a war of words before she eventually accepted and confirmed that she would be in attendance at WCW SuperBrawl to defend the Women's World Championship against Charlotte Flair. However, their heated confrontation was soon cut short by the confusing arrival of Lacey Evans. The self-proclaimed Lady of WCW came to the ring and berated the two superstars in the ring, declaring herself the only true woman in the ring, expressing her disgust that Becky Lynch would call herself The Man. She soon came to regret her words as she was booted in the face by The Queen, and then dragged to the canvas into a Dis-Arm-Her by Becky Lynch. After Lacey Evans had been dealt her dose of pain, Becky and Charlotte once again came face-to-face and stood just inches apart, clearly ready for their battle in two weeks. Will Charlotte Flair be able to bring the Women's World Championship to WCW Nitro? Ricochet def. Jinder Mahal With an impressive debut under his belt, securing a victory over the legendary Chris Jericho last week, Ricochet had already kicked off his Nitro career with a bang, defeating a former World Champion. Tonight, The One and Only once again overcame the odds by putting away another former World Champion, Jinder Mahal, despite the presence of his two henchman, Sunil and Samir Singh. The high-flyer took down The Singh Brothers with a double dropkick, sending them crashing from the apron, and went on to take Mahal down and finish The Modern Day Maharajah off with the outstanding 630 Senton. As he celebrated yet another monumental victory, he noticed a figure out of the corner of his eye. Y2J himself had emerged on the aisle, smirking at the man who beat him last week. The King of the World simply spread out his arms and gave a sinister grin towards Richochet who was beckoning the iconic superstar to join him in the ring. What was Jericho's intention coming out and getting the attention of The One and Only? Drew McIntyre & Dolph Ziggler def. WCW World Champion AJ Styles & Shinsuke Nakamura Drew McIntyre made it very clear which title he intended to challenge for as his reward for winning the Men's Royal Rumble Match. The Scot Terminator opened the show to officially declare his intention to challenge AJ Styles for the WCW World Championship at WCW SuperBrawl, and in the process revealed this tag team main event. Of course, McIntyre had his close ally, Dolph Ziggler already in the bag as his tag team partner, but The Phenomenal One's decision was still a mystery right up until the opening bell. Shinsuke Nakamura emerged to answer the call of his enemy-turned-ally and compete alongside the WCW World Champion. After an incredible main event bout, it still wasn't enough to keep the momentum of Drew McIntyre down, as he and The Show-off were able to score a huge victory over Styles and Nakamura, isolating The Phenomenal One and delivering their signature Claymore/Zigzag combination. After the match, The Sinister Scot stood over his SuperBrawl opponent and snatched the WCW World Championship from the official, raising it above his own head in what may be a sign of things to come, very similar to the end of last week's show, as McIntyre correctly predicted earlier in the night. AJ Styles' days as Champion may very well be numbered.

Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa make their reunion official and announce their takeover of ECW Once a respectful competitor, Johnny Gargano turned his back on everyone last week by manipulating his way into an ECW World Championship opportunity, coaxing Finn Bálor into a match only for Tommaso Ciampa to make a shocking arrival and help his former DIY ally score a victory, earning himself a shot at the gold. The pair opened up ECW this week and made their union official, Gargano stating that he and Ciampa realised that they are better together than apart, vowing to take over The Land of Extreme. The Psycho Killer declared that nobody could stop them, least of all Finn Bálor, and guaranteed that Johnny Gargano would take the ECW World Championship when the time came for him to receive his shot. And with that being said, the pair began warming up for their tag team bout against The Ascension up next. Johnny Gargano & Tommaso Ciampa def. The Ascension They've still got it, that's for sure. Gargano and Ciampa showed that they still have chemistry as a tag team, defeating Konnor and Viktor of The Ascension in the opening contest and showing no remorse as they did with Finn Bálor last week. After taking Konnor out of the equation with a huge running knee by Ciampa, they finished off Viktor with their signature Meeting in the Middle. After securing the victory, the pair celebrated to the dismay of the hardcore crowd, and once again declared that they were here to take over ECW. With the ECW World Champion not in attendance thanks to the injuries sustained at the hands of these two merciless competitors, who is going to be able to stop them? Aleister Black def. Mojo Rawley Aleister Black's redemption journey is well and truly underway. With a victory over Oney Lorcan last week, The Dutch Destroyer started off on the right foot. A larger foe rose to the occasion this week as Mojo Rawley and his unparalleled "hype" tried to take down the dark extremist, only to suffer the same fate as Lorcan before him. Black displayed his incredible talent and was able to put Rawley away with the Black Mass kick, knocking out the former Hype Bro in the center of the ring. Another victory under the belt of Aleister Black, he continued his redemption and looked forward to the future, leaving everyone wondering where it will lead if he is to truly reach his desired destination. The Evil One will persevere, and hopefully regain his confidence in The Land of Extreme. Shayna Baszler def. Natalya It was foreshadowed last week when Shayna Baszler defeated Natalya's close friend, Dana Brooke, but here it is. The Queen of Spades versus The Queen of Harts. One-on-one in ECW. These two powerful superstars clashed before the ECW crowd in a hard-hitting bout with Dana Brooke at ringside to support her best friend. But her presence meant little to Baszler who actually took time out during the contest to assault Brooke, sending her over the guard rail and into the front row. She then returned to the ring and dismantled the former Women's Champion, Natalya, almost tearing her arm out of its socket with a hanging armbar, then returning to the center of the ring to execute the Kirifude Driver for the win. The former cage fighter once again displayed brute force and unbelievable intensity, standing tall in The Land of Extreme. Is there a woman on the roster who can stop this fighting machine? Or anyone at all for that matter? Paul Heyman announces plans for a tournament to crown the first ECW Television Champion The Land of Extreme has always been the place for innovation and new opportunities, and that's exactly what Paul Heyman had to offer when he came to the ring this week. The Father of ECW thanked the hardcore faithful for their undying support the last few weeks to keep ECW up there with the two giants that are WWE and WCW. But cutting straight to business, Heyman revealed that the brand was still considered to be "inferior" due to its size and stature, despite that being what ECW has always being about. However, in an effort to show the doubters that The Land of Extreme has plenty of tricks left up its sleeve, he announces a 16-Man Tournament starting next week to crown the first ECW Television Champion of the New Era. The Messiah reveals that the tournament begins next week on ECW and will culminate at a special event that he plans to announce in due course. Paul Heyman never fails to make an impact, but the question remains - who will be crowned the first ECW Television Champion? Lars Sullivan def. Rhyno The Freak struck last week with absolutely no motive other than to destroy and dismantle, and it so happened that his target was Rob Van Dam. Led by Drew Gulak and his mission to "clean up" ECW, the big man destroyed the former World Champion after his match with Bray Wyatt. This week, Lars and Gulak once again took to the ring to address the current state of affairs in The Land of Extreme, only to be interrupted by The Man Beast, Rhyno who took issue and this led to an impromptu match. The Freak was able to overcome the former ECW World Champion and put him away with a vicious Freak Accident onto a steel chair. But moments after the bell, Gulak screeched at Sullivan to finish the job, and the big man went on an unhinged assault, repeatedly beating Rhyno with the steel chair. Suddenly, the crowd erupted as Rob Van Dam emerged and came to the aid of his fellow ECW original, delivering a huge Van Daminator to the skull of Lars Sullivan, knocking him through the ropes to the outside. He and Drew Gulak reluctantly retreated as RVD checked on his fallen comrade, giving a scowl towards his rival. Kevin Owens def. Kassius Ohno A KO collision. Kassius Ohno finally defeated Rusev last week to put their rivalry behind him, and looked to be well on his way to greener pastures. However, he would never have expected to cross paths with Kevin Owens just one week later. Fresh of his heinous assault on his former best friend, Sami Zayn, The Prizefighter took to the ring with a psychotic expression on his face, seemingly void of all emotion. He unleashed his rage on The Knockout Artist in the ring and even used a steel chair at ringside to beat down his adversary before planting him in the ring with the Pop-up Powerbomb for the win. After the match, Owens stood for a few moments, staring out into the crowd who were giving him a rather hostile reception, only to turn and leave without saying a word. No explanation. No answers. Just a physical message sent to anyone watching. Kevin Owens means business. ECW Tag Team Champions The Bludgeon Brothers def. Zack Ryder & Tye Dillinger It's becoming a tradition for us to see The Bludgeon Brothers run through the competition. From oddball teams with no chemistry, to experienced tag teams like The DUdley Boyz, nobody has been able to defeat these two behemoths. They picked up yet another victory this week, crushing the duo of Zack Ryder and Tye Dillinger after sending The Perfect 10 to the floor on the outside with a huge military press, and then finishing off The Broski with The Reckoning. After the match, the two big men stood side-by-side with their titles in hand, looking out towards the entrance way. They raised the titles in front of them and seemed to be beckoning anyone in the back to try and take them from them. Who would be brave enough to take them up on the offer? Or more specifically, who would be stupid enough? Harper and Rowan remain undefeated, and it doesn't look like that will change anytime soon. Eric Young pays Bray Wyatt a visit at The Wyatt Compound The Wyatt Compound is perhaps the eeriest place in wrestling history, being the home of one of the industries most mysterious competitors, Bray Wyatt. The Eater of Worlds was minding his own business this week when he was visited by an uninvited guest - Eric Young. The leader of SAnitY slowly walked towards the Wyatt House before being stopped in his track by The Reaper himself. "What business do you have here?" he bellowed as Young began to smirk. "Bray, I believe I have something of interest to you", Young responded. As Wyatt looked into his eyes, the two seemed to stare into each other's souls as Young continued, "I have your Sister Abigail, my friend". Wyatt's eyes widen as he looks over Young's shoulder and begins to laugh maniacally. "Brother" he says, "You have truly done it now". And the pair start to laugh hysterically in a psychotic manner before the screen cuts away in signature Wyatt fashion, with the sound of a high-pitched scream in the background as the scene cuts to black. This was certainly weird, but it was far from wonderful. This is sure to be a powerful evil at work. What did Eric Young mean? Sister Abigail has arrived. Bianca Belair def. Candice LeRae Tag team partners last week. Opponents this week. After Biance Belair tried to hog the spotlight from Candice LeRae and Dakota Kai last week, she showed that she was only out for herself. This didn't sit well with her allies which led to this bout as Candice looked to knock The EST down a peg or two. Unfortunately, thanks to the use of her signature hair whip and her overpowering strength, Belair was able to defeat Candice with the KOD, planting her face-first into the canvas. Her ego may control most of her character, but you cannot deny her raw talent either. The EST celebrated another victory, wiping her feet on the mat and flicking up the dirt onto Candice before leaving. Belair just sent a message, that she is the dominant superstar in ECW's women's division. Jeff Hardy def. Dean Ambrose in an Asylum Match It has all come down to this. The bad blood between Jeff Hardy and Dean Ambrose has culminated in this barbaric match, created from the mind of Ambrose himself - the Asylum Match. Inside a steel structure that is covered in dangerous metals and lined with rust, the cage barely even looked safe to be near, let alone compete inside of. The two competitors stood across from each other, ready to unleash all hell on their adversary. The fight quickly got underway and it wasn't long before the steel became a weapon, Hardy throwing The Lunatic Fringe head-first into the cage wall. Ambrose responded in kind, catapulting The Charismatic Enigma into the steel as well. Back and forth they battled, with Ambrose delivering his signature Dirty Deeds and looking to pick up the victory, but Hardy was able to kick out at two. He battled back and hit his own signature move, dropping Ambrose with the Twist of Fate and going for the win himself, but it would take more than that to keep Ambrose down. As the battle raged on, Hardy took to the skies and plummeted from the very top of the Asylum cage, descending on his nemesis with unbelievable impact like a falling meteor. After a gruelling bout that resulted in Ambrose's skull being opened up by the dangerous cage wall, Jeff Hardy was able to ascend one last time and deliver his incredible Swanton Bomb to secure the victory. The former World Champion had finally beaten his arch-rival and in his own structure at that. The blood, the sweat, the carnage, it had all been left inside the Asylum and only Jeff Hardy was able to walk out under his own power. Where does this leave Dean Ambrose? And where does Jeff Hardy go from here? Whatever happens, this was one of the greatest main events in ECW history and had everything the ECW stands for. Two men entered the Asylum, and only one man walked out. The Charistmatic Enigma stands tall to close ECW.

"The New" Daniel Bryan calls Roman Reigns weak and guarantees victory in tonight's non-title main event "The New" Daniel Bryan spent last week berating the WWE Universe for their "irresponsible lifestyles" and explained that he wasn't intimidated by The Big Dog, promising to defeat him next week to retain the WWE World Championship. He calls his challenger weak, claiming that his superhero persona is simply a facade used to cover up an ugly truth - that he is ashamed of himself. Bryan states that Reigns is no better than the "creatures" in the WWE Universe was ignorantly and selfishly abuse our planet, and his message will be spread one way or another. The self-proclaimed Planet's Champion revealed that he would be in action in tonight's main event against Randy Orton, vowing to demonstrate his superiority over The Viper and give Reigns a preview of the beating he will receive next week. "Nobody can match up to "The New" Daniel Bryan" he declared, raising his WWE World Championship into the air. Will he live up to his word and be victorious in the main event, sending a message to his number one contender in the process? The Usos def. WWE Tag Team Champions The Revival Winning the Tag Team Championships is the highest goal a team can accomplish, and for the most part, it's the best part of their career. For The Revival - not so much. Since capturing the WWE Tag Team Championships, they have had nothing but bad luck, losing to a debuting Heavy Machinery after an open challenge, and suffering another loss at the hands of The Street Profits last week. This week, Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder came to the ring demanding respect from the WWE Universe and the tag team division, but all they got was another challenge as they were greeted by The Usos who put their name forward for the future WWE Tag team Championship Match. The impromptu bout kicked off WWE Raw and resulted in yet another loss for Dash and Dawson after the latter was hit with an Uso Splash to end the match. Another week, another loss. Will The Revival ever be able to truly enjoy their reign as WWE Tag Team Champions? Intercontinental Champion Tyler Bate def. Shelton Benjamin Two weeks ago, Tyler Bate finally achieved his goal of becoming the Intercontinental Champion, albeit with a little help from John Cena. Returning to Raw, the young superstar looked to prove his worth as holder of the prestigious gold, and did so by defeating a former Intercontinental Champion and in-ring veteran, Shelton Benjamin. The Gold Standard saw this as an opportunity to throw his name back in the hat for a title shot after all these years, but fell victim to Bate's pure determination and was planted with a Tyler Driver for the victory. The British competitor celebrated with his title and the WWE Universe behind him all the way. He's living out his dream, and he will do anything he can to keep on living it. Braun Strowman wreaks havoc backstage and destroys several superstars It seems as though last week's unfortunate loss to Randy Orton has weighed heavy on Braun Strowman;s mind, and the big man was furious when he arrived at WWE Raw this week. Bellowing to the backstage officials, asking where The Viper was, he smashed his way through the hallways until coming face-to-face with an array of superstars in the locker room. When nobody could tell him where Randy Orton would be, he began decimating anyone in his path, throwing around various superstars such as Curt Hawkins, Heath Slater and Chad Gable. The Monster Among Men continued to demand Orton's presence as he destroyed the area, but he was apprehended by security before he could cause anymore chaos. It took at least six men to restrain the big man, and nobody knew what to do with him. The scene faded away as many were left wondering, can they even contain such a monstrous competitor? Nia Jax def. Ember Moon The Irresistible Force made a bold move last week, attacking Ronda Rousey in the center of the ring for no apparent reason. Nia Jax decimated yet another competitor in Ember Moon this week, planting her with her signature Samoan Drop for the victory. Moments after the bell, Jax grabbed a microphone and made another bold statement, claiming that The Rowdy One is a phoney, and the real "Baddest Woman on the Planet" is standing right here. She made the official challenge for last week, demanding a match with the former cage fighter, and promised to solidify her position as the most dangerous woman in the division. The Miz sounds off on Stone Cold Steve Austin and gets Stunned On Twitter, The Miz went on a verbal tirade against the WWE Raw General Manager, Stone Cold Steve Austin, claiming that ever since becoming a part of the brand, he has been mistreat and wrongly used, despite his "unparalleled talent". The A-Lister took to the ring with his wife, Maryse to follow up on his claims, calling out The Texas Rattlesnake to address the situation, demanding an apology for his recent treatment. Austin obliged and came to the ring to address The Miz's claims, only to inform The Miz that he was talking out of his ass, and he should stop being a crybaby. This infuriated the former World Champion who threatened to go to the Board of Directors about Austin and cause him to lose his job, but the General Manager told him that the only way The Miz can change his current position is to do something about it. This lead to The A-Lister getting in Austin's face and calling him "a broken man" who he could put on the shelf with one swift move. A chuckle from Austin and one quick flip of the bird later, and The Miz found himself eating a Stone Cold Stunner, laying him out in the center of the ring. The Texas Rattlesnake stood over The Miz and smirked before taking his leave to the delight of the crowd. The Miz just found out first hand that whether he's an active competitor or not, you still don't cross Stone Cold Steve Austin. John Cena def. Bobby Roode The bad blood between John Cena and Bobby Roode has been ongoing for weeks now, frequently involving the current Intercontinental Champion, Tyler Bate and his unfortunate efforts to defeat The Glorious One due to his underhanded tactics. Being the role model he is, Cena battled against this and caught the ire of Roode in the process. This bout was scheduled to take place last week, but it was rendered a no contest when Bobby Roode assaulted The Cenation Leader just moment before the ring bell. Tonight, after strict orders from General Manager, Stone Cold Steve Austin to make sure the match goes ahead, it finally happened. The rivalry exploded and had both men hitting their biggest moves on the other, hoping to be the one to walk out as the victor. And while Roode came close to knocking off the former 16-time World Champion, he was unable to keep the iconic superstar down, being sent crashing from the top rope by an avalanche Attitude Adjustment to finally put an end to the match. John Cena celebrated with the WWE Universe and gave an emotional thankyou, seeing this as his resurgence. With his feud with The Glorious One behind him, where will Cena go from here? Sasha Banks & Bayley def. Alexa Bliss & Mickie James The Horsewomen reunited last week, overcoming Absolution in the main event which was followed by Becky Lynch's direct message to WCW Nitro's Charlotte Flair. It seesm that the reunion wasn't just a one-time deal, as Sasha Banks and Bayley once again stood side-by-side as a team to take on Alexa Bliss and Mickie James. With the rumours circulating recently surrounding a potential Women's Tag Team Championship, could this be a preview of things to come? Bayley secure the win for herself and The Boss with a Bayley-to-Belly on Little Miss Bliss, landing the best friends in a good position should a women's tag team division be instated. The Boss 'N' Hug Connection stand tall this week, but will other teams show to challenge their success? Bobby Lashley def. Gentleman Jack Gallagher; Kurt Angle confronts The All Mighty The revival of Bobby Lashley continues with yet another victory, thanks to Lio Rush in his corner. The All Mighty added another one to the win column with a dominant display over Gentleman Jack Gallagher, throwing the cruiserweight around with no care for his well-being. The former United States Champion delivered a thunderous Spear before driving his adversary into the canvas with his signature Dominator. As the past few weeks have also seen, Lio Rush took to the microphone to big up his client, calling Bobby Lashley the "most gifted athlete to grace a WWE ring", once again telling the WWE Universe to "Hail The All Mighty, Bobby Lashley!". But as he spoke those words, he was interrupte dby the theme of Hall of Famer, Kurt Angle. The crowd erupted as The Olympic Hero confronted The All Mighty in the center of the ring. Without saying a word, the two stared each other down, but after some persuasion from Lio Rush, Lashley left the ring to the disappointment of the WWE Universe. Angle looked out towards Lashley before sharing a moment with the crowd, the powerhouse and his adviser retreating to fight another day. Will we see these two collide in the near future? Women's World Champion Becky Lynch addresses her match with Charlotte Flair at WCW SuperBrawl The reigning Women's World Champion made history last week, traversing the brand border and setting foot in WCW Nitro territory to accept the challenge laid out by Charlotte Flair. As a result, the WWE Raw superstar will compete on WCW's first brand-exclusive pay-per-view and defend her title against The Queen. The fighting champion made her way to the ring tonight to address the upcoming title defence, explaining that she will never back down from a challenge, whether it's from a WWE Raw superstar, WCW Nitro superstar or an ECW extremist - it doesn't matter to her. The Man declared that she knows Charlotte Flair better than anyone else on the roster, and states that they will tear the house down at WCW SuperBrawl, but one thing will be guaranteed - in two weeks, she will still be leaving as the Women's World Champion. She then revealed that she would once again be in attendance this week on WCW Nitro to sign the official contract for their match, and she's coming to make it clear to Charlotte that there's no chance of her leaving the event with the title. The Women's World Championship will remain a permanent possession of The Man. Randy Orton def. WWE World Champion Daniel Bryan via disqualification As announced at the top of the show, "The New" Daniel Bryan would go head-to-head with Randy Orton in the main event. Two men who know each other very well, going at it in a non-title bout. But it wasn't quite as straight forward as that. After a back and forth battle that had near falls on both sides, the match took a sharp turn when Braun Strowman reemerged for the second time tonight, this time getting his hands on Orton as he had hoped earlier on. He pulled The Viper from the ring and threw him into the steel steps, causing the disqualification. The Monster Among Men continued to dismantle the former World Champion on the outside, dragging him up the aisle and smashing him into the LED stage. The WWE World Champion clambered to his feet and saw what had unfolded, smirking when he realised that his adversary for tonight had been dealt with. But his moment of smugness was short-lived as he found himself on the receiving end of a Superman Punch from the number one contender, Roman Reigns. The Big Dog came out of nowhere to drop his rival in response to his words last week and earlier in the night. Reigns picked up the title and raised it above his head to the delight of the WWE Universe. He and Daniel Bryan will collide in next week's main event with the WWE World Championship on the line! Don't miss it!

Andrade "Cien" Almas & Chris Jericho def. Rey Mysterio & Ricochet This week's episode of WCW Nitro wasted no time kicking things off, starting with an unbelievable tag team bout that saw Rey Mysterio and Ricochet team up to take on Andrade "Cien" Almas and Chris Jericho. The talent of all four men is well-known, and this was an explosive way to open up Nitro to say the least. The WCW Universe were left in awe by the high-flying duo of Mysterio and Ricochet, but their acrobatic antics were not enough to overcome the devious wit of their adversaries. As Chris Jericho disposed of The One and Only on the outside with an underhanded low blow out of the officials view, El Idolo was able to evade a 619 attempt and quickly roll up his masked rival, grabbing a handful of tights to ensure the three count. He and Y2J quickly fled ringside in celebration as Ricochet crawled back into the ring to support his partner. The soaring athletes had been outsmarted tonight, and the victory had been stolen. But it was announced moments after the match that the four of them would have matches at WCW SuperBrawl as Ricochet will take on Chris Jericho, and Rey Mysterio will get his hands on Andrade Almas in two blockbuster matches. Cruiserweight Champion Mustafa Ali def. Tony Nese The WCW Cruiserweight Champion returned to Nitro last week after being injured by Hideo Itami backstage after their title bout just a few weeks ago. The high-flying athlete made his in-ring return against The Premiere Athlete, Tony Nese in an incredible contest that saw him finish off his adversary with the unbelievable 054 Splash. Mustafa Ali took to the microphone following the win and made a direct challenge to his attacker, requesting a match at WCW SuperBrawl. He declares that he will put the title on the line if it means getting his hands on Itami one-on-one in the ring, and so the challenge is laid out. Will the Japanese superstar accept the bold challenge and face Ali in one week at the WCW exclusive event? Ric Flair returns and unleashes a vengeful attack on The Velveteen Dream It seems that The Velveteen Dream may have run his mouth one too many times. The flamboyant superstar once again made his way to the ring to gloat about how he attacked the WCW Nitro General Manager, Ric Flair two weeks ago and refused point blank to apologise for his actions. The WCW Universe had their say on the matter, but The Dream did not care for their opinion, calling himself "The New Nature Boy" and proceeding to repeatedly "Woo!" to their annoyance. However, unlike last week, his tirade was cut off, and not just by anyone, but by The Nature Boy himself! Wielding a steel chair and a rage-filled expression, he stormed to the ring and unleashed all hell on the man who viciously attacked him two weeks prior. The old Flair had indeed come back as he maniacally slammed the steel into the spine of The Dream before shifting into another gear, throwing out screams of "Woo!" left right and center before applying his patented Figure-Four Leglock and wrenching away at the legs of his rival. Officials rushed to ringside to separate the two, despite the chants of the crowd of "Let them fight!", but as The Dream was quickly pulled from the ring to safety, The Nature Boy grabbed a microphone and made a very clear statement - "Listen here you son of a bitch - WOO - I'm The Nature Boy! You wanna fight? Let's fight! You and me - WOO - at WCW SuperBrawl! And I'll give you the ass kicking you deserve! WOO!". The Dream has awoken the true Nature Boy, and at WCW SuperBrawl, he isn't going to get WCW Nitro General Manager, Ric Flair, he's going to get the Jet Flying, Limousine Ridin', Kiss Stealin', Wheelin' Dealin', 16-time World Champion, Ric Flair. WOO! Shinsuke Nakamura def. Dolph Ziggler Nakamura and Ziggler stood by their allies in last week's main event, acting as tag team partners for AJ Styles and Drew McIntyre respectively. But tonight, it was about one-on-one action, without their companions involved. The King of Strong Style took his hard-hitting offence to The Show-off in a back and forth bout that also saw Ziggler get in some hard-hitting attacks, specifically his superkick. But his kicks didn't quite match up to those of The Rockstar who delivered a jaw-jacking Kinshasa to claim the victory over his adversary and perhaps avenge his loss in the tag team match last week in the process. Nakamura stood tall over his fallen foe and celebrated with the WCW crowd as Ziggler retreated in disappointment. The King of Strong Style appears to be back on his throne. Noami def. Carmella via disqualification; Lacey Evans attacks Naomi That wasn't very ladylike! Regardless, as Naomi and Carmella went toe-to-toe on WCW Nitro, they were interrupted by the arrival of Lacey Evans who hasn't had the best of starts since joining the brand. The Lady of WCW initially observed from a distance, walking around the ringside area, scouting out her fellow female superstars. But when a moment presented itself, she slid into the ring and viciously assaulted Naomi, ending the match via disqualification. Carmella looked set to step in and stop her, but decided instead to leave the ring and retreat up the aisle, leaving Evans to unleash her pent up frustration on the former Women's Champion. The Lady delivered a thunderous right hand that she calls the Women's Right, knocking Naomi out cold and standing over her in the center of the ring, readjusting her hair. After a few deep breaths, she contained her anger and began smiling, despite the boos from the crowd. Her unfortunate beginnings had finally got the better of her and she had decided to take matters into her own hands. Samoa Joe unleashes vicious attack on Seth Rollins for the second week in a row Since the very beginning of WCW Nitro's return, Seth Rollins and Samoa Joe have been at each other's throats, and it shows no signs of letting up. The Destroyer has been haunting The Architect for weeks, and just as Rollins was set to head to the ring to address last week's attack, he was blindsided once again by his arch-nemesis. Joe brutally beat down his rival, using anything around him to inflict as much pain as possible. Dragging Rollins' into the locker room, he threw him into TV screen before throwing him to the ground and locking him in a crippling triangle hold as blood poured from Rollins' skull. Security and officials rushed to the scene and pulled Joe away from Rollins, hoping to prevent any more damage from being done. As he is dragged away, The Destroyer declared that he was going to end The Kingslayer's career one way or another. Medical personnel tended to Rollins as Joe was removed from the area. If these attacks continue, it may only be a matter of time before Rollins' career is forced to be over, just like Samoa Joe has promised. United States Champion Adam Cole def. EC3; Big Show answers Cole's US Open Challenge for WCW SuperBrawl Issuing an open challenge last week, Adam Cole was looking to find his next contender for the United States Championship. However, he probably didn't expect The World's Largest Athlete to answer the call. After defeating EC3 in non-title action on WCW Nitro, Cole once again grabbed a microphone to issue the open challenge, claiming that nobody had the gall to challenge him because the result will always be the same - he will retain his title. But when the familiar theme hit, the entire Undisputed ERA froze and looked towards the entrance. The giant slowly made his way towards the ring to the huge ovation, and the US Champion was shaking in his boots. He told his Undisputed ERA allies to cut him off, only for all three of them to be tossed aside by the gargantuan, throwing Bobby Fish and Kyle O'Reilly into the front row, before drilling Roderick Strong with a Knockout Punch. The World's Largest Athlete stepped up onto the ring apron and came face-to-face with Adam Cole, pointing towards his title. He smiled as Cole quickly clutched his belt close to his chest and rolled under the ropes, retreating up the aisle. Adam Cole's days as United States Champion may be numbered, as he faces a literal giant challenge at WCW SuperBrawl. The Bar def. The Good Brothers The tag team division is truly on the up since the New Era began, and this can be seen in these two teams from WCW Nitro. The Bar collided with The Good Brothers in tag team action tonight, with hopes of a future WCW Tag Team Championship shot at stake. But it was Cesaro and Sheamus who were the ones to pick up the victory, isolating Karl Anderson and delivering a tandem move that saw Sheamus strike with a Brogue Kick, knocking Anderson out for the count. After the bell, the pair stood side-by-side in unity and shouted "We don't just set the bar - we are The Bar!", receiving a somewhat negative reaction from the crowd. The pair left as The Good Brothers regrouped on the outside, disappiinted with their loss. Drew McIntyre def. R-Truth; AJ Styles returns the favour The countdown continues to Drew McIntyre's golden opportunity against AJ Styles as he cashes in his Royal Rumble victory for a chance to become the WCW World Champion. But this week, The Sinister Scot took to the ring and grabbed a microphone to declare his superiority over his adversary, claiming that he has a pinfall victory over him already, beating him last week in tag team action. However, he revealed that tonight he had been given the opportunity to issue an open challenge to any WCW Nitro superstar who believes they can defeat him - despite nobody being physically able to. His challenge was answered by... R-Truth? Whether he stumbled into the wrong situation or not, he was declared McIntyre's opponent, receiving a relentless beating from the number one contender. It wasn't long before The Scot Terminator was able to put Truth away, dropping him with a Claymore kick for the victory. He stood with his foot on Truth's chest in victory, making a gesture around his waist, suggesting that he will leave WCW SuperBrawl as the new WCW World Champion. But his moment of glory was crashed by the very man he hopes to defeat - AJ Styles. The Phenomenal One emerged from seemingly out of nowhere to deliver his signature Phenomenal Forearm, grounding his challenger. As McIntyre quickly fled ringside, recovering from the surprising attack, Styles looked out towards the stage with a stern expression, letting McIntyre know that he isn't playing around. Women's World Championship contract signing has chaotic end The match was confirmed last week when Becky Lynch accepted the challenge of Charlotte Flair, and now the contract was to be signed to make it official, meaning the two will collide at WCW SuperBrawl in just one week. As the ambassador for the entire women's division, Stephanie McMahon was on hand to oversee the contract signing between the two. The Women's World Champion and her challenger made their way to the ring and stood across from each other, preparing to sign on the dotted line. After a brief introduction by Stephanie McMahon, she presented the official contract and placed it on the table. Both Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair signed their names and shook hands, cementing the bout for the upcoming pay-per-view. However, the handshake quickly became more intense than expected as they pulled nose-to-nose and began trading verbal shots. Suddenly, The Queen decided to take the Women's World Championship from Becky's shoulder and raised it herself, only for The Man to snap and grab her, putting her through the table in the center of the ring with a Bexploder Suplex! Becky Lynch stood over her adversary and shouted "Never touch my damn title!" before barging past Stephanie and taking her leave. Flair slowly climbed back to her feet and looked up the aisle in anger as the two women had a staredown to close out WCW Nitro. Who will walk out with the gold in just one more week?

Paul Heyman reveals the ECW Television Championship and kicks off the 16-Man Tournament As announced last week, tonight begins a 16-man tournament to determine the first ECW Television Champion, with the elimination battle culminating at a "special event" yet to be revealed. The Father of ECW himself opened the show, holding the all-new ECW TV Championship over his shoulder, showing it off to the world as he explained that one lucky extremist would have the opportunity to be a part of history. Paul Heyman revealed that tonight would feature four of the eight first round matches, with the next four taking place on next week's episode. And as for the special event that the tournament final will take place at - he is still playing his cards close to his chest. The Messiah gave the tournament an official kickstart by declaring "Let's get extreme!". And with that came the first two participants in the first round - Drew Gulak and Rob Van Dam! Rob Van Dam def. Drew Gulak to advance in the ECW Television Championship Tournament What better way to kick off the tournament than with a former ECW Television Champion, Rob Van Dam? Well, Drew Gulak felt he was a better choice, heading to the ring for a rare bout, followed closely by his muscle, Lars Sullivan. As The Freak looked on, RVD and Gulak clashed in the first match of the 16-man tournament, and after the events of recent weeks, Van Dam made sure he kept a close eye on Sullivan's whereabouts. The rivalry between the two was clearly on the mind of The Whole F'n Show, but that didn't stop him defeating The Powerpoint Prince with a Five-Star Frog Splash as The Freak simply stood and stared at his enemy. After securing the win, Lars collected his adviser and retreated up the aisle at Gulak's request. "You'll get yours, Van Dam!" screeched Gulak as he and Sullivan left, but all RVD cared about was sharing the moment with the ECW faithful as he advance to round two. Rusev def. Goldust to advance in the ECW Television Championship Tournament Continuing with the tournament, The Bizarre One took to the ring for his chance to climb back to his former glory and capture another bit of gold to add to his collection. However, a Bulgarian Brute stood in his way, with his wife, Lana and Aiden English at his corner. The veteran, Goldust gave Rusev a fight to remember, and at one point even tried to get in the head of the monstrous extremist by approaching his wife on the outside and running his fingers through her hair. However, this only enraged Rusev who unleashed a furious attack on his adversary and finished him off with the Machka Kick for the victory. Rusev, English and Lana stood side-by-side over the fallen legend, having advanced to the second round. Will The Bulgarian Brute be able to continue his success and make the ECW Television Championship a catalyst for Rusev Day? Bray Wyatt and Eric Young introduce "Sister Abigail" Nikki Cross to the world The mystery of Sister Abigail has long been hidden in the shadows, but now it seems to have been revealed. After last week's bizarre encounter between Eric Young and Bray Wyatt at the infamous Wyatt Compound, it was revealed that Young had "brought Sister Abigail" to Bray Wyatt. This week, the pair entered the arena side-by-side with sinister grins before introducing "Sister Abigail" to the ECW faithful and the rest of the world, revealing it to be none other than Nikki Cross. The psychotic Cross exploded into the arena in a maniacal fashion, confronting Young and Wyatt before turning her attention to the crowd and screaming at the top of her lungs. The sinister pair simply laughed behind her, as if revealing their master plan as Cross grinned to the crowd with little to no emotion in her eyes. With Wyatt now seemingly aligning with SAnitY and Nikki Cross rejoining the group as well, could we be looking at possibly the most dangerous unit in history? The Dudley Boyz def. The Ascension & The Colóns in a Three-Way Dance to become the number one contenders for the ECW Tag Team Championships It has still been an impossible task to defeat the current ECW Tag Team Champions, The Bludgeon Brothers. But one team determined to knock them off their pedestal is The Dudley Boyz. The iconic team once again claimed the right to be called number one contenders by defeating The Ascension and The Colóns in a Three-Way Dance, first eliminating Primo and Epico with an assisted top rope powerbomb from Bubba Ray, and then putting Konnor and Viktor away with a 3-D through a table that cemented their place as the next challengers. Bubba and D-Von celebrated their victory and made gestures to suggest that they fully intended to become the new ECW Tag Team Champions at the next opportunity. But watching from the shadows were Harper and Rowan, shown observing their future challengers from the backstage area. A sinister glare towards the camera and it was clear that The Bludgeons had no intention of letting the titles go, even if it is the legendary tag team of The Dudleyz. Kevin Owens def. Tye Dillinger to advance in the ECW Television Championship Tournament The self-destruction of Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn has been a talking point for a couple of weeks now, and after taking out his former ally in a heinous assault, KO looks to move forward as a lone competitor, starting by advancing in the ECW Television Championship Tournament. The Prizefighter unleashed another vicious attack on his adversary of the night, Tye Dillinger, eventually putting The Perfect 10 away with a Package Piledriver, pulling out the devastating move to secure his win. After the match, having advanced in the tournament, Owens once again glared down at his fallen foe with a blank expression, picking him back up and planting him with a Pop-up Powerbomb for good measure. The former ECW World Champion left ringside to the dismay of the ECW crowd, moving on in the tournament to round two. Shayna Baszler def. Dakota Kai The Queen of Spades continues her reign of terror, this time defeating one of ECW's newest female acquisitions, Dakota Kai. The Kiwi extremist put up a fight against the overpowering former cage fighter, but Shayna Baszler was relentless in her offence and ultimately made Kai submit with the Kirifuda Driver. As the dominant extremist stood tall in victory, she grabbed a microphone and declared her dominance over the women's division, demanding more competition. "I don't care if you're from ECW, Raw or Nitro - I want some more bitches to break!" she bellowed, slamming the microphone down to the canvas. Baszler has laid out the challenge to any woman on the entire roster - will anyone rise to the occasion? Pete Dunne def. Oney Lorcan to advance in the ECW Television Championship Tournament In the final of tonight's first round matches, The Bruiserweight went head-to-head with Oney Lorcan in the hopes of stepping from under the dark cloud that has hovered over him for the past few weeks. Pete Dunne fought hard to keep his adversary at bay, and after Lorcan attempted a Half and Half Suplex, Dunne was able to land on his feet and deliver the Bitter End for the victory. Finally he had claimed victory, and in the ECW Television Championship Tournament nonetheless. The British brawler celebrated with the ECW faithful behind him, having finally broke out of his recent losing streak. Can Dunne do the unthinkable and go the whole way to claim his first title? The ECW Television Championship Tournament continues next week with another four first round bouts The road to crown the first ECW Television Champion continues on into next week as eight more extremists battle it out to earn their place in the second round. Also, Paul Heyman took to ECW.com to exclusively announce that he will reveal the "special event" that will host the tournament final next week. What could this event be? What does The Father of ECW have up his sleeve for the future of Extreme Championship Wrestling? ECW World Champion Finn Bálor def. Tommaso Ciampa While The Extraordinary Man wasn't in attendance last week, he was still focused on getting his revenge on Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa for attacking him two weeks ago. As a result, Finn Bálor requested this one-on-one contest with The Psycho Killer in hopes of getting some measure of payback on his attackers. The short break seemed to work wonders for the ECW World Champion as he returned with a fire in his eyes, taking the fight right to Ciampa in the worst way. The main event featured several high-flying moments, and many more extreme moments to boot. Ciampa attempted to cripple Bálor with a ladder, using it to repeatedly crush the midsection of his adversary, but when Bálor battled back, he used the ladder to his own advantage, sending Ciampa into it with a huge shotgun dropkick. After seeing an opportunity following a Slingblade, Bálor ascended the turnbuckle and flew through the air, delivering the killing blow - the Coup de Grace. A three count later and Bálor had his hand raised as the victory, having defeated one of the two thorns in his side. As he celebrated however, he was assaulted from behind by the number one contender, Johnny Gargano. The man who will challenge for the ECW World Championship came from out of nowhere and unleashed a relentless attack on his rival, pulling him to the outside of the ring and using a steel chair on The Extraordinary Man, laying him out cold. Johnny Wrestling grabbed the ECW World Championship from ringside and raised it above his head to a hostile reaction from the ECW faithful. Could this be the sight when they collide with the gold on the line in the near future?

Triple H returns to give Stone Cold Steve Austin a formal warning for his actions last week Absolutely nobody was complaining about getting to see The Texas Rattlesnake unleash a Stone Cold Stunner on The Miz last week. Well, nobody except The Miz himself. Apparently, The A-Lister went to the Board of Directors regarding Austin's actions and filed an official complaint against the WWE Raw General Manager, and as a result, Triple H was forced to make his return and call out the Hall of Famer. Opening the show, The Game stood face-to-face with former rival, Stone Cold and explained the situation, reminding Austin that when he was hired for the job, it was made perfectly clear that he was not to get physical with any of the superstars unless physically provoked. Triple H made sure it was understood that this was an official warning and that any further mishaps would not be tolerated. But not only must he hand out a warning to Stone Cold, but he explained that the Board have had to compensate The Miz to avoid him taking the complain any further, and as a result have awarded him an Intercontinental Championship Match tonight. In fact, that would take place right now. The Texas Rattlesnake was less than impressed, but The Game had laid down the law, and took his leave as The Miz made his entrance with a smug grin across his face, mockingly waving at Austin as he left through the ropes. The Miz def. Tyler Bate to become the new Intercontinental Champion Somehow, The Miz has come out of this situation smelling of roses, and has added another accomplishment to his resume in the process. It was obvious that the Intercontinental Champion, Tyler Bate had not been briefed in advance of this bout, looking somewhat flustered as he made his way to the ring. Michael Cole received word from the back that he was only informed an hour before the show, meaning he had little time to prepare. The Miz, however, looked suspiciously prepared which raised many questions, but before anyone could really get an answer, the match was already underway. The British superstar fought hard to retain his title, taking the fight to The A-Lister at every turn, but it came down to the impromptu nature of this bout (for Bate at least), that allowed The Miz to capitalise and pick up a shocking victory, planting his adversary with a Skull-Crushing Finale and claiming the Intercontinental Championship. He and his wife, Maryse celebrated in the ring to the dismay of the WWE Universe, and The Miz even gave one last jab towards the WWE Raw General Manager, looking directly into the camera with his title raised and shouting "Oh hell yeah!". Mike Kanellis def. Apollo Crews The love-struck couple of Mike and Maria Kanellis made their official debut just two weeks ago on WWE Raw with the self-proclaimed "Prodigy" picking up a victory over Heath Slater in singles action. Kanellis once again entered the ring for another bout with one of the most athletic superstars on the roster, and was able to defeat Apollo Crews thanks to a brief interception from his beloved wife, who acted as a distraction and allowed Mike to deliver a rolling cutter for the victory. The one true love story of The Kanellis' once again takes center stage on Raw as the pair embrace and kiss in front of the world. As much as their relationship appears to be their main focus, Mike Kanellis continues to impress in the ring. The New Day def. WWE Tag Team Champions The Revival Another week. Another defeat. The Revival continue to have the worst of luck in their reign as WWE Tag Team Champions, losing to every team that has come before them. This week, in another explosion of anger, the pair demanded respect from the tag team roster and promised that regardless of what has happened in recent weeks, they are still the most dominant tag team in history. They were quickly interrupted by the arrival of The New Day to the delight of the WWE Universe. The positive trio confronted Dash and Dawson, explaining that they were here to "turn their frowns upside down", but The Revival were having none of it and attacked the former Tag Team Champions. This led into an impromptu non-title bout which saw The New Day hand The Revival another loss, with Xavier Woods and Big E taking to the ring and defeating them with the UpUpDownDown for the victory. The trio danced and celebrated with an excitable crowd as The Revival stormed away in a fit of rage. The WWE Tag Team Champions once again leave with an unfortunate cloud over their head. Can they ever break the curse? "The New" Daniel Bryan and Roman Reigns deliver messages to each other ahead of tonight's main event Before they collide in the main event for the WWE World Championship, both Daniel Bryan and Roman Reigns took to the backstage cameras to send verbal messages to each other. "The New" Daniel Bryan made it clear that he intended to make an example of Reigns, using him to get the message across that there is only one way of life, and that the WWE Universe are oblivious to their own mistakes. He declares that he will retain the WWE World Championship and send Roman Reigns back home where he belongs. But The Big Dog has some equally tough words for his adversary, explaining that Daniel Bryan's tirade must be stopped, and the WWE Universe had heard enough. He made it clear to the WWE World Champion that he would be taking the title to put an end to Bryan's propaganda and stand up for those who want to live their life without judgement. The two collide in tonight's main event, and you won't want to miss it. Ronda Rousey def. Nia Jax Nia Jax may have issued the challenge last week, but Ronda Rousey answered it in style. The former cage fighter came to the dance ready to stand toe-to-toe with The Irresistible Force who last week claimed that Ronda was not The Baddest Woman on the Planet - she was. But after this week's bout, it seems that The Rowdy One is still at the top of her game and is still worthy of the Baddest Woman on the Planet moniker. Despite Jax's best efforts and a momentary display of dominance, she was ultimately dragged to the canvas into the devastating armbar that she had no choice but to submit to. Ronda Rousey stood victorious in the center of the ring with the WWE Universe behind her, and made sure Nia Jax was aware that she was no challenge to her. Is anyone? Rousey doesn't think so, and nobody has yet to prove otherwise. Braun Strowman def. Titus O'Neil; Randy Orton strikes from outta nowhere Last week, The Monster Among Men wreaked havoc in the backstage area as he hunted down Randy Orton, only to get his hands on the former World Champion during the main event. Strowman unleashed his rage on The Viper repeatedly and left him laying as the show came to a close. This week, the big man competed in his own match, destroying Titus O'Neil in a fairly brief contest that showed everyone why he is one of the most dangerous competitors on the roster. However, as he left the ring in celebration, The Viper struck from outta nowhere, delivering an RKO to his giant rival. Randy Orton stood over his fallen foe having got his measure of revenge, but this is sure not to be over yet. Will Orton live to regret his decision to strike The Monster Among Men when he least expected it? Charlotte Flair attacks Women's World Champion Becky Lynch before her scheduled match The brand divide can only do so much to keep superstars apart from each other, and with the upcoming Women's World Championship bout at WCW SuperBrawl on the horizon, it holds no power over Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch. As The Man emerged on Raw to compete in a warm-up match of sorts against Absolution's Sonya Deville, she was blindsided before she even made it off the stage. The Queen exploded from stageside and assaulted her SuperBrawl opponent, clearly as an act of revenge for Lynch's actions this past week on WCW Nitro when she put Flair through a table during their contract signing. Charlotte unleashed her fury on her adversary and sent her crashing into the announce table. Security quickly rushed the scene and separated the two, but the message had been sent. Will we see The Man respond in kind this week on Nitro? Kurt Angle def. Lio Rush It was originally scheduled to be a collision between Kurt Angle and Bobby Lashley in a blockbuster bout, but instead, The All Mighty decided to take a step back and Lio Rush stepped up the plate to replace him. His adviser explained that Kurt Angle had not earned the right to share the ring with The All Mighty, and he must instead get through him. Unfortunately for Rush, The Wrestling Machine did just that. Angle tore down the loudmouthed superstar with his technical ability, making sure to give the occasional glare to Lashley at ringside as he dismantled his adviser. Angle planted Rush with an Angle Slam and then applied the Ankle Lock, forcing him into submission for the victory. Bobby Lashley helped Rush out of the ring and reluctantly retreated up the aisle as Angle celebrated his victory. Lio Rush may have claimed that Kurt Angle had not yet earned the right to face The All Mighty, but perhaps now he will reconsider after finding out first hand just what The Olympic Hero is capable of. Baron Corbin makes his WWE Raw return by interrupting John Cena With Bobby Roode dealt with, John Cena looked to move forward on WWE Raw and make his next move. The 16-time World Champion took to the microphone to address the WWE Universe and thank them for their continued support. But just as it appeared that he was about to set his sights on the WWE World Championship after tonight's main event, he was interrupted by a very unwelcome guest - Baron Corbin. The Lone Wolf made his return to WWE Raw - despite originally being revealed as an ECW extremist - and interrupted The Cenation Leader, claiming that the iconic superstar had run his course as the posterboy of wrestling. Corbin explained that he struck an exclusive deal with the McMahon family to be signed to WWE Raw and make an impact. With that, he declared that his way of making an impact is to go for the top dog and destroy him, and that just so happens to be John Cena. "I'm done sitting on the sidelines and letting opportunities that should be mine slip by" he declared, "this is my time. And I'm not going to let you or anyone else get in my way". After making his statement, he dropped the microphone and returned backstage, leaving John Cena confused and bewildered by Corbin's sudden appearance. With The Lone Wolf now prowling WWE Raw, what does this mena for John Cena and the rest of the roster? WWE World Champion Daniel Bryan vs. Roman Reigns ends in a no contest when Brock Lesnar emerges and destroys both men This highly anticipated main event didn't disappoint, pitting "The New" Daniel Bryan against Roman Reigns in a WWE World Championship bout for the ages. The two top class competitors clashed in a back-and-forth match that had the WWE Universe on the edges of their seats. Close counts came for both men with The Big Dog delivering a thunderous Spear, only for Bryan to kick out at two. The same went for Bryan as he delivered his signature running knee, but it would prove to take more than that to keep Reigns down. However, as it came to a close with both men suffering from serious fatigue, and neither gaining a significant advantage, their night was ruined by the arrival of a monstrous individual - Brock Lesnar. The Beast Incarnate stormed ringside and began dismantling both competitors, tossing them around the ring with German suplexes left and right. Lesnar then delivered an F-5 to both Bryan and Reigns, leaving them motionless on the canvas at his feet. Having completely ruined this WWE World Championship Match, The Beast stood tall over the carnage and showed little care for what he had done. The WWE Universe made it heard that they weren't happy with the result, but Lesnar simply looked up and made it clear to them that he didn't give a damn. He stood between his fallen victims and let out a primal scream as WWE Raw came to a close. The Beast Incarnate has returned, and he's made an immediate impact on the entire roster.

Seth Rollins calls out Samoa Joe leading to chaotic start to WCW Nitro The Kingslayer was in no mood for talking tonight as he opened the show, storming to the ring and immediately calling out Samoa Joe, still showing the effects of the attack at the hands of The Destroyer last week. Seth Rollins demanded the presence of his nemesis, and issued an official challenge for a match at WCW SuperBrawl, but not just any match - a No Holds Barred Street Fight. And it certainly didn't seem like he was going to take no for an answer. The Samoan Submission Machine responded and emerged from the stage with a microphone of his own, wasting no time in accepting Rollins' bold challenge, but went on the state that he wasn't going to wait until SuperBrawl, and instead planned to finish what he started last week. "I'm still standing, Joe. Come and try it!" shouted Rollins as Joe dropped the microphone and stormed towards the ring. The Architect hopped through the ropes and met him half way as Nitro descended into chaos. The pair brawled all around the arena, tumbling into the crowd and trading blows one after another until security were forced to separate both men. They continued to shout verbal abuse at each other as they were pulled apart as the show quickly cut away from the scene. Ricochet def. Andrade "Cien" Almas The tag team bout last week opened up doors for four of the most athletic competitors to clash in different ways, meaning that tonight we would get Rey Mysterio versus Chris Jericho, and of course, Ricochet versus Andrade "Cien "Almas. The latter opened up the action on WCW Nitro in an incredible bout that showcased the pure talent that both men have, soaring through the skies to throw everything they had at one another. And despite Zelina Vega trying to support her man by getting involved in the match as per usual, she was kept at bay by a clever springboard feint from Ricochet, causing her to drop down from the apron screaming which allowed him to instead avoid a shot from Almas and roll him up with a school boy for the victory. The high-flying superstar retreated in victory to the delight of the WCW Universe, and heads into this Sunday's pay-per-view with a full head of steam to face off against the iconic Chris Jericho. El Idolo was clearly furious, however, and would no doubt be in a very bad mood going into his own clash with Rey Mysterio at WCW SuperBrawl. Who will prevail later tonight when The Master of the 619 and Y2J collide in their own match? Big Show def. Roderick Strong After The World's Largest Athlete answered Adam Cole's United States Championship Open Challenge for WCW SuperBrawl last week, the leader of The Undisputed ERA decided to try and throw an obstacle before the giant ahead of this Sunday's title clash in the form of fellow Undisputed ally, Roderick Strong. The Messiah of the Backbreaker looked to impress his leader with a victory over the big man, but ultimately fell victim as he and his cohorts, O'Reilly and Fish had last week. Big Show used his clear strength advantage to throw Strong around the ring as the rest of The Undisputed ERA watched on from ringside. However, it seemed that none of them dare intervene to stop Show's offence and this meant that he was able to plant Strong with a huge Chokeslam to secure the win. The World's Largest Athlete heads into WCW SuperBrawl looking as dominant as ever, and it was visible in Adam Cole's eyes that he may be wishing he had never opened the floor up to challenges, because now he faces a giant task, literally. Dolph Ziggler def. Shinsuke Nakamura In a rematch from last week's episode, Dolph Ziggler and Shinsuke Nakamura collided again, and this time it was a reverse result. While last week saw The King of Strong Style come out on top over The Show-off in singles action, the rematch had a very different outcome, with Ziggler striking with a Superkick to knock The Rockstar out cold and secure the victory for himself. The score between the two superstars stood at one a piece, but that apparently wasn't enough. Shortly after the match, it was confirmed on WCW.com that the two would meet for a third time on the Kickoff Show of WCW SuperBrawl in the rubber match to find out who truly is the best man. Will it be Shinsuke Nakamura, or Dolph Ziggler who walks out of the Kickoff Show with the bragging rights? The Velveteen Dream mocks Ric Flair using one of his own robes The Nature Boy snapped as he returned last week and made a beeline for The Velveteen Dream following his heinous assault. But this didn't dampen Dream's ego one bit as he emerged this week to mock the WCW Nitro General Manager just days before their battle at WCW SuperBrawl. Appearing in on of Ric Flair's signature robes, The Dream made his way to the ring in signature Nature Boy fashion, strutting his way down the aisle and finally picking up a microphone with a "Woo!". The WCW Universe didn't receive him well, but he continued to mock his rival with various quotes from Flair's legendary past, before eventually tearing the robe off and declaring that this Sunday there will be "no stylin', no profilin' only dreamin'". He claims that this Sunday, he will prove that he is the true Nature Boy, and vows to put the nail in the coffin of Flair's Hall of Fame career. "They say to be the man, you've got to beat the man" he declares, "Well that's not true. Because to be the man, you have to beat - The Dream". The Nature Boy returns to the ring at WCW SuperBrawl to take on The Velveteen Dream in what is sure to be a heated battle. Chris Jericho def. Rey Mysterio Their rivals collided earlier in the night, and now it was the turn of two legendary competitors to clash in their own bout. In a rematch from the very first episode of WCW Nitro, Y2J and Mysterio went head-to-head just days before they take on their respective adversaries at WCW SuperBrawl. No stranger to each other, they went back and forth and put on a clinic as always, but Jericho was quick to resort to his usual underhanded tactics, pulling Mysterio's mask over his eyes after blocking a 619. The momentary distraction allowed him to drag Mysterio into the center of the ring and apply the Liontamer, wrenching the spine of his opponent and forcing The Master of the 619 into submission. The self-proclaimed King of the World celebrated with a smug grin to the dismay of the WCW Universe, leaving Mysterio disappointed. But who will prevail at SuperBrawl when these two men collide with their own rivals? Women's World Champion Becky Lynch returns the favour, attacking Charlotte Flair before her match A person's actions almost never go without repercussions, and these two women have found that out the hard way. Last week's edition of WCW Nitro saw the contract signing between Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair end in carnage when The Man put her challenger through the table. Flair responded by journeying across the brand divide to attack her adversary on her home turf of WWE Raw. But things always come back around, as the Women's World Champion found her way into the arena and assaulted The Queen just as she had done on Raw, preventing her from competing in a scheduled bout. She laid waste to her SuperBrawl opponent before the WCW Nitro women's roster descended on ringside and forced The Man to flee through the crowd. She had sent her message, and with only a few days until the pair collide for the Women's World Championship, it was worth every moment. One of these superstars will walk out of WCW SuperBrawl with the gold, but which one it will be is anyone's guess. Hideo Itami def. Gran Metalik The return of the Cruiserweight Champion, Mustafa Ali last week came with a challenge to the man who put him on the shelf for a short time, Hideo Itami. It isn't often that the Champion challenges a superstar to be his challenger, but this was about more than the title. Itami's response was highly anticipated, but it was no mystery as to what the answer would be. Before his bout with Gran Metalik, the Japanese superstar accepted Ali's bold challenge for a match at WCW SuperBrawl and promised to bring his title reign to an end. The dangerous individual then went on to decimate the masked luchadore, finishing him off with his signature Go To Sleep. The number one contender for the Cruiserweight Championship stood with his foot on the chest of Metalik as he screamed Japanese towards the camera. Mustafa Ali may have made the challenge, but could it have been a very big mistake? Elias declares that he will give the performance of a lifetime at WCW SuperBrawl The Sinister Songsmith hasn't had the best of luck on WCW Nitro, and hasn't had much time to showcase his "talent" either. But tonight, Elias made his way to the ring to reveal that he would be in attendance at WCW SuperBrawl, and promised that he would give the performance of a lifetime in front of the jam-packed crowd. He laid down some ground rules, warning the WCW Universe to respect his moment and shut their mouths as he performs in front of the entire world. The Living Truth guarantees that his performance will steal the show and people will be talking about it for years to come. Maybe he's right, but judging by previous experience, it may not be remembered for the same things Elias thinks. Lacey Evans def. Naomi It seems that Lacey Evans' luck may have taken a turn. After suffering one embarrassment after another since debuting in the Women's Royal Rumble Match, she finally snapped last week when she assaulted Naomi during a contest between her and Carmella. This lead to a match being made between the two for tonight, as Naomi looked for some retribution. But The Lady of WCW appears to have broken her streak of setbacks as she unleashed an aggressive offence on the former Women's Champion, delivering the Women's Right to knock Naomi clean out, allowing her to pick the victory. After the match, Lacey Evans celebrated to the dismay of the WCW Universe, brushing herself off and resuming her ladylike behaviour. But everyone knows now that she isn't just a pretty face with stubborn views - she can back it all up with her vicious actions. WCW World Champion AJ Styles & The Good Brothers def. Drew McIntyre & The Bar With just days to go until their main event clash at WCW SuperBrawl for the WCW World Championship, AJ Styles and Drew McIntyre rounded up their allies for a Six Man Tag Team bout to close out the final Nitro before the pay-per-view. The Phenomenal One found assistance in his old Japan running buddies, reforming The Club for the occasion. But The Scottish Psychopath had his own set of friends, bringing The Bar along to the fight. As the two teams collided, it had SuperBrawl preview written all over it with Styles and McIntyre event coming to blows during the course of the match. But after a chaotic sequence of events that saw Cesaro isolated with The Club, they were able to plant The Swiss Superman with the Magic Killer, followed up by AJ Styles pulling out the Spiral Tap for the final pinfall. McIntyre and Sheamus pulled their ally to safety and retreated up the aisle as The Club stood side-by-side in unity. As the two units stared off across the distance of the entrance ramp, the WCW Universe were left wondering whether these alliances would play a role in this weekend's main event for the WCW World Championship. One way or another, these two men will tear the house down, and only one of them will leave with the gold. Will it be The Scottish Psychopath or The Phenomenal One?

Kevin Owens & Rusev def. Pete Dunne & Rob Van Dam The ECW Television Championship Tournament is well underway as the first four competitors qualified for the second round last week. Those four extremists were thrust into tag team competition tonight, putting Kevin Owens and Rusev against Pete Dunne and Rob Van Dam. With all four men looking to gain an upper hand heading into next week's round of bouts, they threw all caution to the wind to claim the victory. But the presence of Aiden English and Lana at ringside on behalf of The Bulgarian Brute may have created enough of a distraction to allow Owens to bend the rules slightly, raking the eyes of Dunne as he attempted as Bitter End and instead finished him off with a Package Piledriver for the victory. After the match, KO and Rusev stood face-to-face, realising that their alliance was merely temporary, but RVD tended to the fallen Bruiserweight regardless. Which of these men will advance to the semi-finals next week? Rhyno def. No Way Jose to advance in the ECW Television Championship Tournament And the tournament continued with the next set of four first round matches, this time featuring The Dominican Dancing Machine, No Way Jose who gave an energetic performance on his way to the ring. But his opponent was in no mood for jiving. Rhyno emerged looking more focused than ever before, disregarding the presence of the ECW faithful entirely and instead homing in on his adversary almost immediately. No Way barely had any opportunity to get out of the starting gate as The Man Beast unleashed a hellish beating, eventually putting him away with a thunderous Gore. Rhyno stood tall in victory but made his way back up the aisle almost immediately after the announcement was made. This new and focused Rhyno may be less involved with the ECW crowd, but he's sure to be more dangerous than ever. Aleister Black vs. Killian Dain ends in a no contest; neither man advances in the ECW Television Championship Tournament When Bray Wyatt and Eric Young united as one last week to reveal "Sister Abigail" to the world, we knew that destruction and disaster was going to follow. But we didn't know it would be on such a grand scale. As Aleister Black prepared to do battle with SAnitY's Killian Dain as part of the ECW Television Championship Tournament, he was distracted by Nikki Cross at ringside who screamed in Black's face repeatedly. Suddenly, the lights shut off and when they returned, the entire group of SAnitY had joined him in the ring, and at the helm was none other than Bray Wyatt. The Eater of Worlds had a sadistic grin on his face as he lunged at The Dutch Destroyer, starting an all out mugging that saw all five people jump Black in a heinous display. Wyatt and SAnitY proceeded to dismantle Aleister Black and the official calling the match, rendering this bout a no contest. Security rushed to the ring but were kept at bay by Alexander Wolfe and Killian Dain, allowing Wyatt, Young and Cross to continue the attack. Leaving Black in a bloody, battered mess, SAnitY and Bray Wyatt stood as a unit as Wyatt bellowed "This is our destiny! We are the gods of extreme! This is our calling! Follow me into the darkness!". The maniacal extremist dropped to his knees as SAnitY stood behind him with equally evil grins. What has been unleashed? Paul Heyman announces the return of ECW One Night Stand in three weeks Apparently WCW isn't the only brand who can have exclusive pay-per-view events. The Father of Extreme himself came to the ring for a very special announcement, exclusively revealing that he had agreed a deal with the McMahon family to host a brand exclusive pay-per-view events for ECW - the return of One Night Stand. Heyman explained that The Land of Extreme will play host to these One Night Stand events much like the pay-per-views of old. In three weeks, ECW returns to the Hammerstein Ballroom for this event which he explains will feature the finals of the ECW Television Championship Tournament, as well as the highly anticipated ECW World Championship clash between Finn Bálor and Johnny Gargano. "The tribe of extreme has risen again, and it's not going anywhere!" he bellows, "Beat that, you bastards!". With the message sent to his rivals, WWE Raw and WCW Nitro, all that remains now is to see what more extreme moments will take place at ECW One Night Stand III? Bianca Belair def. Natalya The announcement of ECW One Night Stand is sure to get the locker room talking, and looking for their moment to shine on the bigger stage. The women's division will most definitely be one of the most competitive groups fighting for that all important spotlight. Bianca Belair took to the ring against Natalya tonight, in hopes of scoring a big victory over a seasoned veteran, and somehow she did just that. The Queen of Harts put up a fight against the impressive extremist, but Belair's wit allowed her to use her signature hair whip to keep Natalya at bay and eventually hit her with the KOD for the victory. The EST of ECW stood tall in victory, blowing a kiss towards her fallen foe before leaving. Belair has been unstoppable since arriving on ECW. ECW Tag Team Champions The Bludgeon Brothers def. The Ascension & The Colóns In an attempt to prove their dominance over their challengers, The Bludgeon Brothers made a request to take on the same two teams that The Dudley Boyz had beaten last week to become number one contenders. Of course, their undefeated streak continued and they put away both The Ascension and The Colóns with relative ease. But as they stood tall in victory once again, they were taken by surprise when Bubba Ray and D-Von appeared and unleashed a flurry of shots at their rivals. Having gotten the upper hand, The Dudleyz were able to take Harper out by throwing him into the front row over the guard rail, leaving Rowan to take a 2-on-1 assault from the brothers. And with the introduction of a table, it didn't end well for the barbarian as he was driven through the table by Bubba Ray with a huge flapjack in the aisle. The legendary duo stood tall with the ECW faithful behind them as they came closer to challenging for the ECW Tag Team Championships once again. Can they do the unthinkable and finally defeat Harper and Rowan? Jeff Hardy def. Mojo Rawley to advance in the ECW Television Championship Tournament For the first time since his brutal Asylum Match with Dean Ambrose, The Charismatic Enigma returned to ECW for his first round match in the ECW Television Championship Tournament. As always, he soared his way to victory, outmatching the aggressive Mojo Rawley with his speed and experience, avoiding the devastating offence Rawley was throwing out and instead managing to hit a Twist of Fate followed by his signature Swanton Bomb to secure the win. Jeff Hardy is back on the victory wagon and could potentially go all the way to become the first ECW Television Champion of the New Era. But where is Dean Ambrose following their epic collision? The Lunatic Fringe has not been seen since. Now that's a unnerving fact. Lars Sullivan def. Zack Ryder to advance in the ECW Television Championship Tournament In the last of the first round matches, it was the unstoppable beast, Lars Sullivan that came out on top, annihilating Zack Ryder in dominant fashion, as he had done over the last several weeks. The Freak overpowered The Long Island Iced-Z and planted him with the Freak Accident, all the while Drew Gulak watched from ringside with a smug expression, witnessing his monster at work. As Sullivan secured the pinfall, Gulak stepped into the ring and declared that while he may have lost to Rob Van Dam last week, the true victor of this tournament will be Lars Sullivan. Gulak promised that his monster would reach the finals and crush whoever it is that stands before him, capturing the ECW Television Championship and using it as a catalyst for change. "We will clean up ECW one way or another!" he shouted as Sullivan raised his hands into the air with a mighty roar. The quarter-finals of the ECW Television Championship Tournament begin next week The first round is over and the quarter-finals have been set. Next week, the tournament continues with four extreme matches to see which extremists will go to the semi-finals in two weeks. Rob Van Dam will take on Rusev, Pete Dunne will do battle with Kevin Owens, Jeff Hardy will tackle Rhyno, but what will happen with Lars Sullivan? His opponent was to be decided by a match between Aleister Black and Killian Dain which was thrown out earlier in the night. Does this mean The Freak gets a bye into the semi-finals? Or will Paul Heyman rectify this issue with a replacement? Find out next week! Johnny Gargano def. Kassius Ohno; Finn Bálor evens the odds when Gargano and Ciampa attack Now that it's known when Finn Bálor and Johnny Gargano will collide over the ECW World Championship, the match has garnered even more excitement and anticipation. Tonight, Johnny Wrestling came to the ring with his "best bud" and demanded the presence of Finn Bálor to take his beating early like a man. But instead of the ECW World Champion, Gargano and Ciampa were interrupted by the surprising arrival of Kassius Ohno. The Knockout Artist explained that like the ECW faithful, he was tired of hearing him run his mouth, and if it's a fight he's looking for, then he's happy to give him one. The Psycho Killer stepped forward to issue his own challenge to Ohno, but Gargano insisted that he let him come to the ring and put his money where his mouth is. An impromptu main event began and the pair tore the house down as Ciampa looked on from ringside. Of course, he didn't just observe, instead getting involved at one point to deliver the Meeting in the Middle, knocking Ohno out and allowing Gargano to pick up the victory. But when the pair initiated a post-match attack on The Knockout Artist, it was then that The Extraordinary Man emerged and came to the aid of his friend. Finn Bálor flew through the air, taking down Ciampa with a shotgun dropkick as the number one contender quickly retreated. The ECW World Champion stood by Ohno as the former #DIY retreated up the aisle. Just three weeks remain until Bálor and Gargano collide for the extreme gold, and it appears to be heating up each and every week.

WCW presents SuperBrawl as the first brand-exclusive pay-per-view of the New Era The time has come for the first brand-exclusive pay-per-view of the New Era, and it's courtesy of WCW. Thanks to the Royal Rumble victory of Drew McIntyre, WCW earned the right to host the first brand-exclusive event, and from that, SuperBrawl was reborn. A night filled with Championship opportunities, heated rivalries and a musical performance, it's safe to say that it will be a case of "anything can happen". But before the official start of the show, it was time for the Kickoff Show, and that meant that the rubber match between Shinsuke Nakamura and Dolph Ziggler was upon us. Shinsuke Nakamura def. Dolph Ziggler (Kickoff Match) Before WCW SuperBrawl officially got underway, the Kickoff Show featured the deciding bout between Shinsuke Nakamura and Dolph Ziggler. The pair had traded wins over the past couple of weeks, standing at one a piece, so this match was created to decide who truly is the better man. The King of Strong Style took control of the match early on, but was soon taken aback by The Show-off who dropped his adversary with a huge superkick, coming close to defeating him. However, when Ziggler attempted to hit the Zig Zag, Nakamura grabbed the top rope, dropping his opponent to the canvas and immediately followed it up with the devastating Kinshasa to secure the victory. It seems that The Rockstar is indeed the better man on this night, celebrating with the WCW Universe. But with that closing bell, it was time for the show to begin. Bring on the SuperBrawl! The Velveteen Dream def. Ric Flair When the New Era began, nobody could have expected that we would see The Nature Boy come out of retirement for a brand-exclusive pay-per-view event, but it seems that the Hall of Famer saw no alternative. The rebellious Velveteen Dream had pushed all the right buttons with the WCW Nitro General Manager and went so far as to attack the 16-time World Champion just because he wasn't getting his own way. Flair returned two weeks ago to get his hands on the young superstar and challenged him to this match tonight. But this wasn't the official General Manager talking, this was the former 16-time World Champion talking, and it showed as he made his way to the ring and prepared to do battle. The Dream was already getting in Flair's head by coming to the ring in his own personalised robe and "Woo!" covered attire, but The Nature Boy has been doing this long enough to know when to rise above. He immediately laid into his adversary with his signature chops, surprising The Dream who perhaps underestimated what Flair is still capable of. Although he did end up battling back and taking down Flair with a huge dropkick, taking a back seat and gathering his wits once again. He repeatedly mocked the legendary superstar with his signature strut and repetitive shouts of "Woo!" to the WCW Universe's dismay. But Flair used this to fuel the fire and was able to apply his patented Figure-Four Leglock, very nearly forcing his opponent to submit. But The Dream resorted to underhanded tactics, using The Dirtiest Player in the Game's own mantra to his advantage, delivering a thumb to the eye to escape the hold. The Velveteen Dream was then able to scale the turnbuckle and deliver his Purple Rainmaker elbow drop into the heart of the Hall of Famer to secure his victory. It may not be the result everyone wanted to see, but it showed that Flair still has plenty in the tank despite his age. However, The Dream rubbed the victory in everyone's face as expected, brushing off his hands over the fallen body of his adversary before taking his leave with a smug grin. He may be arrogant and brash, but you cannot deny that he just defeated a former 16-time World Champion and Hall of Famer. Mustafa Ali def. Hideo Itami to retain the WCW Cruiserweight Championship Mustafa Ali's Cruiserweight Championship reign hadn't had much time to even get off the ground before he was brutally assaulted by Hideo Itami, putting Ali on the shelf for a couple of weeks all because he was a sore loser. The Japanese superstar continued to show his aggression against various other opponents before Ali made his return and challenged Itami to a match tonight at WCW SuperBrawl to get his revenge. Of course, Itami accepted for his chance to capture the Cruiserweight Championship as well, and it didn't disappoint. Itami showed his new relentless attitude as he had been the past few weeks, but Ali was ready for him and had vengeance on his mind. He flew through the air to take out his adversary, but Itami responded with a sickening back suplex on the hard ring apron. However, Ali was the one who hit the final blow when he cut Itami off on the top rope and instead delivered an astounding Spanish Fly to pick up the victory. Mustafa Ali had not only got his measure of revenge, but had successfully retained his title for the first time. Ricochet def. Chris Jericho It's no secret that Chris Jericho has been furious ever since Ricochet beat him in his debut match on WCW Nitro. Y2J took it upon himself to make an example out of the new up and comer leading to this match tonight, with Ricochet ready to prove that the first time wasn't just a fluke. Jericho did what he does best and gloated his way through, taunting the WCW Universe repeatedly throughout the match as he took control. But his arrogance may have come back to bite him as The One and Only used this to find an opportunity, battling back and even escaping a Lionsault by getting the knees up. After avoiding a Codebreaker by flipping over Y2J, he was able to take the former World Champion down and fly through the air with his signature 630 Senton to secure yet another victory over The King of the World. Proving that he deserves to stand with the best, Ricochet celebrated with the WCW Universe as Jericho became even more aggravated, taking his frustrations out on the official. A future World Champion no doubt, Ricochet is here to stay in WCW Nitro. Seth Rollins def. Samoa Joe in a No Holds Barred Street Fight The bad blood between Seth Rollins and Samoa Joe had boiled over to the point of no return, stemming from the very first episode of WCW Nitro when Rollins defeated Joe to advance to a WCW World Championship opportunity. The Destroyer made it his goal to destroy and dispose of Seth Rollins, vowing on many occasions to cripple him beyond repair. The Architect is never one to back down from a fight and this meant that chaos would follow, with both men refusing to back down and resulting in uncomfortable beatings and career-threatening situations. The pair agreed to compete against one another in a No Holds Barred Street Fight tonight to settle the score, and it wasn't long before the action got underway. In fact, it began even before the bell as Rollins lunged through the ropes during Joe's entrance to take his adversary down with a suicide dive. The fight quickly got out of hand, travelling across the arena and even into the crowd where both men used anything they could get their hands on to beat the other. Rollins drove a trash can into the skull of Joe at one point, only to himself receive a sickening chair shot to the skull which opened up his forehead. The battle eventually returned to the ring where Joe was able to apply the Coquina Clutch, but in what was an incredible moment, Rollins somehow managed to reach the ropes and drag himself out of the devastating hold. Using the ropes, he flew through the air with a knee strike and followed it up with the infamous Stomp, driving Joe skull-first into a blood-covered steel chair to put an end to this barbaric match. With blood, sweat and tears shed, it was Seth Rollins who stood tall in the end, despite not looking like much of a winner in appearance. Is it finally over between these two men? Adam Cole def. Big Show to retain the WCW United States Championship When Adam Cole issued an open challenge for his WCW United States Championship, he probably wasn't thinking of the possibility of it being answered by The World's LArgest Athlete. The giant returned to answer the call and tossed aside Cole's Undisputed ERA cohorts, confronting the Champion himself, and just last week he defeated Roderick Strong in singles action. Tonight, Cole didn't come alone as the Undisputed ERA leader was joined by Strong and the WCW Tag Team Champions, Kyle O'Reilly and Bobby Fish. But with them restricted at ringside, Big Show was left to throw Cole around like he was a small child. It seemed as though it would be over quickly for a moment, but a slightly misstep on Big Show's part saw him knock down the official thanks to Cole pulling him into harms way. The Undisputed ERA saw this as the opening they needed and invaded the ring to issue a 3-on-1 assault on the giant. O'Reilly and Fish delivered the Total Elimination, allowing Cole to pick up the pieces and hit the Last Shot. The official was awoken by Roderick Strong and counted the three, giving Cole the shocking victory, meaning that he retained his title. This simply proves that no matter how big you are, there's always strength in numbers. Andrade "Cien" Almas def. Rey Mysterio Who is the very best luchadore in WCW Nitro? Well this battle between two incredible athletes was made to decide just that between themselves. The iconic Rey Mysterio - a former World Champion in his own right - would defend his honour against the up and coming Andrade Almas who claimed to be far greater than The Master of the 619 ever was. While it may have ended in a result not too desirable for Mysterio, he still displayed his unparalleled ability and showed that he isn't a novelty act - Rey Mysterio is still very much a top contender. The high-flying superstars collided in a fast-paced contest that saw both pull out all the stops with moves we have never even seen before. It was the former World Champion who looked to be taking control of the match as he dove through the ropes to deliver a thunderous dropkick to his adversary, and when the fight returned to the ring, he was able to connect with the legendary 619. However, Zelina Vega chose that exact moment to play her part, grabbing the foot of Mysterio and preventing him from taking to the skies. The distraction allowed Almas to recover and deliver a superkick to his rival, dragging him through the middle rope and delivering a sickening hangman Hammerlock DDT which led to a victory for the self-proclaimed "Pride of Mexico". He and Vega celebrated to the dismay of the WCW Universe as Mysterio slowly came to, realising what had happened. It may not be the result everybody wanted, but on this night, Andrade "Cien" Almas was indeed the better man. Becky Lynch def. Charlotte Flair to retain the Women's World Championship The women's division continues to grow, and now it has evolved into something quite spectacular. The Women's Royal Rumble last month crowned the first Women's World Champion who would defend her title across all three brands, and that lucky lady was Becky Lynch. The Man stood atop the mountain and basked in her glory, until The Queen looked to claim her throne at WCW SuperBrawl. Charlotte Flair issued the challenge and what began as a respectful rivalry soon turned physical as both women showed an incredible desire to leave tonight with the gold. They stood face-to-face before the WCW crowd and traded some verbal barbs before engaging in a physical trade-off of punches. Lynch delivered a Bexploder Suplex early on, hoping to put away her challenger in record time, but the daughter of The Nature Boy was not going to let that happening, battling back and eventually flying from the top rope to take down The Man with an amazing diving cross body to the outside. Flair maintained control and even saw an opening to apply the Figure-Eight Leglock, bringing Lynch close to submission. But the fire in Becky's heart grew and she fought out of the precarious situation and applied her own submission, the Dis-Arm-Her which would ultimately force The Queen to reluctantly slap the mat. The Women's World Champion had successfully defend her title for the first time and stood before a WCW crowd in celebration. The Queen sat up and held her head in her hands, but she had nothing to be ashamed of after putting up a valiant effort. The Man left with her gold over her shoulder as Charlotte Flair continued to look deflated following her loss. The Icon, Sting returns to crash Elias' disrespectful performance While you can't deny Elias' in-ring ability, his musical talent leaves much to be desired. But that doesn't stop him performing, even if only for his own benefit. The Sinister Songsmith once again took to center stage to debut his brand new piece, preceding his performance with a short message to the WCW Universe, reminding them to silence their cellphones, hold their applause and shut their mouths. Upon getting into the musical moment, it became clear that this new song was written to specifically berate the history of WCW and its iconic superstars. From Goldberg and Ric Flair to Hulk Hogan and Randy Savage, he named them all and claimed to be greater than every one of them. The Living Truth went on to verbally attack anyone who supported WCW in its day, declaring that the brand was always better off dead. But no sooner had he begun the opening note of his next verse was he interrupted to the delight of the WCW Universe, and by a very familiar sound. The sound of the crow. Chills ran down the spines of everyone in attendance as the lights went out and Elias' eyes widened, witnessing the arrival of perhaps one of WCW's most iconic characters - The Icon, Sting. The former World Champion emerged from the stage in the iconic black and white and welded his signature baseball bat which he then pointed towards Elias. Sting approached the ring and came face-to-face with The Sinister Songsmith in a moment that seemed to freeze all time and space. Elias lunged at the legendary superstar for interrupting his moment, only to receive a shot with the black bat that many before him had also felt. The Icon then went on to deliver his signature Scorpion Death Drop to send Elias packing before celebrating with the WCW Universe. The Stinger is back, but is he back for good? Drew McIntyre def. AJ Styles to become the new WCW World Champion Traditionally, the winner of the Royal Rumble Match goes on to headline WrestleMania, but this time was different. With the beginning of a New Era, the Royal Rumble would not only grant the winner a World Championship shot at the next big event, but also give their respective brand the opportunity to be the first to host their own exclusive pay-per-view. And here we are, in the main event of WCW SuperBrawl as Drew McIntyre looks to take the WCW World Championship from AJ Styles. The big fight feel was definitely in the air tonight as these two talented superstars came face-to-face in front of an electric crowd. The opening moments were tense between the two men as they simply glared at one another before McIntyre made the first move, slapping Styles across the face. The Phenomenal One retaliated with a forearm shot, but was taken to the canvas and pummelled by The Scottish Psychopath. Styles fought back valiantly and hit a slingshot leg drop on his adversary, then pulling out an old favourite in the form of a Spiral Tap, hoping to put the challenger away. But it was going to take more than that to keep McIntyre down. The vicious competitor unleashed his rage on the WCW World Champion, eventually finding the right moment to hit a Future Shock DDT, and for a moment it seemed like a new Champion would be crowned, but Styles kicked out at two. The fight took to the outside as The Champs that Runs the Camp put his body on the line with a springboard cross body, taking out his Scottish opponent. It was then that things became chaotic as McIntyre's allies emerged. Cesaro and Sheamus - collectively known as The Bar - appeared at ringside to perhaps give an assist to their Celtic comrade, but they were quickly thwarted by the arrival of Styles' own companions, Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson. The Good Brothers and The Bar brawled their way around ringside, competing in their own battle. But the scuffle seemed to act as a momentary distraction for The Phenomenal One as he took his eye off the ball just one second too long as he looked to deliver his patented Styles Clash. With the official also preoccupied with the outside events, McIntyre took the opportunity to deliver a thunderous low blow to the WCW World Champion, dropping him to his knees. This would then allow him to reverse into the corner and fly like a coiled spring into a devastating Claymore, laying his opponent out cold. "Get over here!" bellowed McIntyre to the official as he spun around and dropped to the canvas to count the shocking three. The Scottish Psychopath had done it. He is the new WCW World Champion. From Royal Rumble winner to WCW's top star, albeit through underhanded tactics. The vicious fighter stood over Styles' body with the WCW World Championship held high, much to the distaste of the WCW Universe. But that didn't matter, this was his night, and as far as he is concerned, this was always his destiny. After all, he was The Chosen One.

Brock Lesnar confronts Stone Cold; Roman Reigns comes to Austin's aid Stone Cold Steve Austin was given the week off last week by Triple H, but you can't keep a good Rattlesnake down. The WWE Raw General Manager made his return and kicked off this week's edition by addressing the recent events concerning the WWE World Championship. And without any hesitation whatsoever, Austin addressed Brock Lesnar's chaotic arrival, calling The Beast an "unwelcome guest". The Hall of Famer made it clear that he wasn't going to be intimidated by the former World Champion, and even went as far as to call him out. Lesnar obliged, making his way to the ring and standing face-to-face with Austin in a high-tension moment. As Stone Cold went on to directly address The Beast, he was cut off when Lesnar slapped the microphone out of Austin's hand and stepped closer to him, bringing the pair nose-to-nose. But before any harm could come to the General Manager, Roman Reigns exploded onto the scene and dropped Lesnar with a thunderous Spear. The Beast quickly rolled out of the ring and reluctantly retreated as Reigns stood beside Austin, staring a hole right through Lesnar. This is more than just a rivalry, this is personal. The Monster Among Men to square off with The Viper in a main event Street Fight After weeks of heated confrontations and chaotic brawls, The Monster Among Men and The Viper will finally collide to settle the score in tonight's huge main event. And what better way to settle the highly volatile score than a Street Fight? Will Randy Orton be able to channel his inner demons to overcome his monstrous opponent? Or will Strowman introduce the former World Champion to "these hands"? John Cena def. Shelton Benjamin It's always a special night when John Cena returns to action, and tonight was no different, taking on fellow veteran, Shelton Benjamin in one-on-one action. The 16-time World Champion showed off his lack of ring rust and put the former Intercontinental and United States Champion away with an Attitude Adjustment for the victory. Moments later, John Cena grabbed a microphone and addressed Baron Corbin, explaining that many people have come for him as the top dog, and many have failed in their attempts. "You want some? Come get some!" he bellowed as he warned Corbin that if he isn't ready, he will fall like the rest. The battle lines have been drawn, and now The Lone Wolf has to decide if he is truly making the right choice going after one of the biggest names in history. Heavy Machinery vs. The Street Profits ends in a no contest when The Revival attack They've finally had enough. During a competitive tag team match between two of WWE Raw's most talented duos, the WWE Tag Team Champions decided that in the words of the late, great Owen Hart - enough is enough. Just as the WWE Universe seemed to be getting deeply invested into the contest, Dash Wilder and Scott Dawson struck out of nowhere, blindsiding both Tucker Knight and Montez Ford with their title belts. As the respective partners tried to save the day, they too were drilled with the gold, leaving The Revival to stand tall over their foes. The pair grabbed microphones and declared that they were taking no more crap from anybody, and their embarrassment had gone on long enough. Wilder stated that from now on, they rule the tag team division like they should, and nobody can stop them. Dawson signs it off with a remark that they revived tag team wrestling, and if they have to, they will kill the division as well. And with that, the pair picked up Montez Ford and delivered a sickening Shatter Machine for the final impact. The Revival certainly mean business, but how will the rest of the division react? Bobby Lashley def. Chad Gable The talented Chad Gable was revealed to be Kurt Angle's equaliser last week, battling alongside the Hall of Famer to take on his rivals, Bobby Lashley and Lio Rush in tag team action. But The All-Mighty was still able to escape the clutches of The Olympic Hero, leaving Rush to take the fall. Tonight, Lashley took on Gable in singles action as Kurt Angle looked on, cheering on in his new protege. Unfortunately, thanks to a brief distraction from Lio Rush on the outside, Gable was caught in position for a Dominator and planted into the canvas, giving Lashley the victory and another one-up over Angle. He and his adviser retreated from ringside with smug grins on their faces as Angle tended to his fallen ally. Surely Bobby Lashley cannot avoid Kurt Angle forever, and the WWE Universe are certainly hoping that he gets what he deserves sooner rather than later. Daniel Bryan issues a warning to Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar While The Big Dog and The Beast were going at it at the top of the show, "The New" Daniel Bryan was obviously watching from the shadows, observing his two potential contenders for his WWE World Championship. The Planet's Champion made his way to the ring to address his recent rivals, firstly reminding everyone that Roman Reigns had his chance at the title and failed, and regardless of how he failed, he would have always failed, meaning that he has no right to call himself the number one contender. Then, he moved onto the dangerous Brock Lesnar, showing no intimidation and declaring that Lesnar has done nothing to earn himself a shot, claiming that The Beast thinks he can walk in and take what he wants, but he's wrong. "I am The Big Dog! I am The Beast! I am the WWE World Champion!" he snarled, pumping his title into the air with each statement. Closing out, Bryan stated that he would remain the WWE World Champion as he is the only truly deserving superstar on this roster, and would tear the limbs from anyone who tried to take it from him. Sonya Deville def. Bayley The Boss was able to defeat Mandy Rose last week in the first clash between The Boss n Hug Connection and Absolution. Tonight, their allies collided in their own bout as Bayley took on Sonya Deville, with Banks and Rose looking on from ringside. The Huggable One took control of the match early on and things looked to be going the way of Bayley and Sasha once more, but when Mandy Rose jumped onto the apron to distract her adversary, it allowed Sonya Deville to capitalise. The Boss intervened and pulled Rose from the apron, but the distraction had already took hold and Deville delivered a thunderous roundhouse kick to pick up the victory. Absolution retreated with an excitable embrace as Banks tended to her fallen ally. It's all even now - will we see the two teams clash in tag team action soon? Baron Corbin def. Tyler Bate; The Miz and John Cena join the chaos After Tyler Bate's ballsy interruption of The Miz's Intercontinental Championship Celebration last week, the WWE Universe had nothing but respect for him. The former Champion who was wrongfully screwed out of his title by Triple H and The Miz just a few weeks ago, was forced to take on the recently returned Baron Corbin in singles action, and after John Cena had some strong words for The Lone Wolf earlier in the night, he was sure to be in a foul mood. Bate put up valiant effort against his opponent, but no matter how hard he fought, nothing could have helped him overcome the arrival of The Miz and Maryse at ringside. While the referee was momentarily distracted by Maryse, The A-Lister struck with his Intercontinental Championship, drilling Bate over the head and laying him out. Capitalising on the situation, Corbin delivered an End of Days to secure the win over the British superstar. But it didn't end there, as both Corbin and The Miz initiated a post-match attack on the unfortunate competitor, only for John Cena to arrive nad save the day. The 16-time World Champion hit the ring and The Lone Wolf quickly scarpered, wanting no part of The Cenation Leader just yet, instead leaving The Miz to take the full brunt of the attack. Cena sent The A-Lister crashing to the outside and tended to his fallen friend as he eyed up Corbin on the stage. Triple H gives Roman Reigns a warning for his actions tonight and reveals a blockbuster announcement for next week Talk about picking favourites. Roman Reigns had been summoned to the office of Triple H who gave The Big Dog a verbal grilling upon his entry. Claiming that Stone Cold Steve Austin was out of order, The Game went on to say that he will not tolerate Reigns' rebellious behaviour, and issues him with a verbal warning for his assault on Brock Lesnar. Before Reigns can even respond, the authority figure revealed that Reigns would need to be paying full attention next week when he makes a blockbuster announcement in front of the world. "Now get the hell out of my office" he growled as he and Reigns shared an intense staredown before the scene faded away. What will Triple H's announcement be? "Glorious" Robert Roode def. Gentleman Jack Gallagher Refusing to be introduced as anything else, "Glorious" Robert Roode once again returned to action, this time to take on a fellow moustache man, Gentleman Jack Gallagher. The Brit was quickly met with the aggressive offence of The Glorious One early on, and Roode made quick work of his adversary, finishing him off with the Glorious DDT for the victory. After the match, Roode demanded a microphone and simply stated "Now that was GLORIOUS!" before throwing the mic down into his opponent. Robert Roode seems to have found his mojo, and everybody is becoming a victim of his "glorious" onslaught. Ronda Rousey warns Becky Lynch about the dangerous Shayna Baszler As Becky Lynch travelled to The Land of Extreme for the first time, she found herself in the clutches of Shayna Baszler who stated her claim to the Women's World Championship, challenging The Man to a match at ECW One Night Stand. The Champ returned home to WWE Raw this week to address The Queen of Spades and promised that she would regret putting her name forward. But as Becky continued to direct her message towards Baszler, she was interrupted by Ronda Rousey. The Rowdy One confronted Lynch and warned her to be fully prepared for Shayna Baszler, claiming her to be an extremely dangerous competitor. The Man said she wasn't afraid of any woman, and will happily defend her title anywhere, but Rousey explained that she knows Baszler, and she's capable of taking whatever she wants, whenever she wants it. Of course, Becky Lynch continued to stand her ground and guaranteed a victory in the Hammerstein Ballroom in just two weeks. The Rowdy One then signed off by telling Becky "I hope you know what you're getting yourself into" before leaving the ring, an unusual atmosphere remaining in the arena. Why is Ronda Rousey so concerned for Becky Lynch? Braun Strowman def. Randy Orton in a Street Fight The blood has boiled between these two men, and it all came down to this. A one-on-one all-out brawl. The rivals collided and traded punch for punch as they hoped to be the one leaving as the better man tonight. It started off with Strowman using his significant power advantage to keep Orton grounded, dominating most of the early match. But when The Viper found an opening to escape the outside, he used his surroundings to his advantage, taking the fight into the crowd and using everything at his disposal to wear down the big man. Eventually, the brawl travelled all the way through the crowd back to the side of the stage where Orton continued his attack, managing to keep The Monster Among Men where he wanted him, and even shocked the world by driving the big man through the announce table with an RKO atop the stage for good measure. However, a problem arose. Now he had to get Braun Strowman back to the ring. This began a long and arduous journey back to ringside, hoisting a 300+ pound man-mountain down the aisle to secure the pinfall. But unfortunately, by the time The Viper had returned his prey to the ring, Strowman was already coming to, and erupted into a second wind of sorts, driving Orton into the canvas with not one, not two, but three running powerslams. The Monster Among Men hooked the leg and claimed the victory, standing tall over his fallen foe. It seems that the RKO simply awoke something within Braun Strowman, and he used that to crush The Viper beneath his feet. Strowman is indeed unstoppable, but the question now is, who is next in line to get these hands?

Seth Rollins addresses his WCW World Championship opportunity in two weeks Just a few days removed from a gruelling No Holds Barred Street Fight with Samoa Joe at WCW SuperBrawl, Seth Rollins did the unthinkable and defeated Joe, AJ Styles and The Velveteen Dream to become the new number one contender for the WCW World Championship. The Architect made his way to the ring this week and directly addressed the reigning Champion, Drew McIntyre and in the process revealed that he would be challenging for the big gold belt in just two weeks on WCW Nitro. Explaining why he felt it was his calling to capture the WCW World Championship, Rollins declared that the support he has received from the WCW Universe has been overwhelming, and he's not just going to do it for himself, but for them. "I have fought through thick and thin to earn my place at the top" he stated, "and now's my chance to top it all off". The former World Champion promised that he would fight to the end to add the prestigious title to his resume, whether Drew McIntyre liked it or not. The Sinister Scot will be in action in tonight's main event against the former Champion, AJ Styles, and you have to know that Seth Rollins will be watching intently. Cruiserweight Champion Ali & The War Raiders def. The Undisputed ERA Shane McMahon's arrival as Ric Flair's temporary replacement didn't just shake up the WCW World Championship picture, but also left a sour taste in the mouths of The Undisputed ERA. Not only did he force Adam Cole to defend his United States Championship tonight, but he also kept his allies busy, informing them that they would take on Cruiserweight Champion, Ali and The War Raiders in Six-Man Tag Team action. And unluckily for them, it didn't go their way. The high-flying Ali was able to secure the victory over Roderick Strong with an 054 Splash as Hanson and Rowe kept O'Reilly and Fish at bay on the outside. With this win, no doubt Ali has solidified his position as the leader of the cruiserweight division, but also, perhaps The War Raiders have landed themselves an opportunity for the WCW Tag Team Championships in the near future? Who knows? Maybe Shane McMahon will provide the answers. The Icon, Sting returns to action to take on Elias - tonight! His shocking return at WCW SuperBrawl raised the question - is Sting back for good? Well, he's certainly back for now at least, accepting the challenge laid out by The Living Truth last week for a return bout tonight. Will Sting be able to put an end to Elias' tune, or will Elias play The Icon's swansong for the last time? EC3 def. Sin Cara Last week, EC3 came to WCW Nitro with one goal - to win. Refusing to sit in the shadows any longer, he was able to defeat R-Truth with relative ease, showing off a more focused and aggressive offence. The Top 1% picked up yet another victory this week, taking down the luchadore, Sin Cara with his One Percenter. Another win in the bag, EC3 seems to be getting his career back on track. What is next for the young superstar on WCW Nitro? Andrade "Cien" Almas def. Shinsuke Nakamura Ricochet walked out with the privilege of being the number one contender for the United States Championship, meaning that Andrade Almas and Shinsuke Nakamura came up short. But the show must go on, and both men looked to redeem their loss against one another. The King of Strong Style used his unique brand of offence to keep Almas out of the skies and on the canvas, but when Zelina Vega grabbed Nakamura's leg as he measured for the Kinshasa, this opened up the opportunity for Almas to strike, delivering a huge superkick and following it up with a Hammerlock DDT, spiking The Rockstar in the center of the ring and securing the victory. The self-proclaimed "Pride of Mexico" celebrated his win alongside Vega as they retreated up the aisle, leaving Nakamura to regroup. Vega continues to be Almas' ace in the hole, but for how long can she help him succeed before someone evens the odds? The Velveteen Dream demands another opportunity after blaming AJ Styles for his loss last week Since the beginning of the New Era, The Velveteen Dream has been nothing short of trouble, and following his victory over The Nature Boy, Ric Flair at WCW SuperBrawl, has become even more unbearable. The flamboyant superstar burst into the office of Shane McMahon tonight to not ask, but demand another opportunity to challenge for the WCW World Championship, blaming AJ Styles for his loss last week as The Phenomenal One became out of control. The Prodigal Son took a step back to think about his demand, only to inform The Dream that the bout ended fair and square, and that Seth Rollins will be the number one contender no matter what. This didn't sit well with The Velveteen Dream who threatened Shane McMahon, citing what he did to WCW General Manager, Ric Flair just a couple of weeks ago. McMahon got in the face of The Dream and told him that he wouldn't threaten him if he knows what's good for him. The Dream simply smirked and brushed Shane's shoulder, telling him "Think it over" before leaving. Asuka def. Lacey Evans via countout The Lady of WCW may have bitten off more than she can chew by crossing Asuka and her friend, Kairi Sane. The Sassy Southern Belle went into action against The Empress of Tomorrow, but when things didn't appear to be going her way, she fled from the ring and refused to return. Asuka was about to apply her signature Asuka Lock, only for Evans to squirm out of the hold and rush up the aisle, waving her hands despite the officials orders to get back in the ring. The Lady was able to escape The Empress' clutches tonight, as she clearly wasn't ready for Asuka. But for how long can she run before the former Women's Champion avenges Lacey's actions on her best friend, Kairi Sane? Sting def. Elias When his SuperBrawl performance was crashed by the legendary Sting, you would have assumed that Elias would shy away from disrespecting WCW, but it continued. The Living Truth even went as far as to challenge the returning legend to a match, and The Icon accepted. Returning to action for the first time in years, Sting stepped through the ropes and went head-to-head with The Sinister Songsmith, proving that he didn't have quite as much ring rust as Elias may have expected. The Vigilante delivered his signature Scorpion Death Drop to his adversary, followed up by a Scorpion Death Lock to seal the deal and force Elias into submission. The Icon had a successful return to action, and looked as good as ever in doing so. What lies ahead for Sting now that he is back on home turf? Could there be one more World Championship run in the Hall of Famer? AJ Styles take on WCW World Champion, Drew McIntyre in huge SuperBrawl rematch - tonight! The Phenomenal One may have come up short last week, but he still gets the opportunity to avenge his loss at WCW SuperBrawl with a non-title rematch against the WCW World Champion, Drew McIntyre in tonight's huge main event. Can Styles redeem himself with a victory over The Sinister Scot, or will McIntyre once again stand tall over his Phenomenal foe? Ricochet def. United States Champion Adam Cole via disqualification (Title retained) Wherever The Undisputed ERA go, chaos usually follows. Tonight was no different as Adam Cole defended his United States Championship as per Shane McMahon's announcement last week, against the man who won the 8-Man Battle Royal for the right to be number one contender - Ricochet. The One and Only came within seconds of becoming the new Champ after hitting Cole with his incredible 630 Senton, but with alarm bells ringing in their heads, the rest of Undisputed hit the ring and attacked the challenger, forcing the official to call for the bell. Cole, Strong, Fish and O'Reilly unleashed an assault on Ricochet to the dismay of the WCW Universe, but the cavalry soon arrived in the form of The War Raiders and the Cruiserweight Champion, Ali. The odds were evened and all eight men engaged in an all-out brawl that had the crowd on their feet. All hell had broken loose, and officials flooded the ringside area to try and contain the carnage. The Undisputed ERA have now been matched man-for-man, and it may be time for them to get their just desserts. Samoa Joe destroys Lucha House Party in a rage-fuelled attack As the Lucha House Party were awaiting the arrival of their opponents for a scheduled six-man contest, they were confused to instead see the arrival of one Samoa Joe. With a foul expression on his face, he stormed to the ring and immediately began throwing the three luchadores around the ring with no explanation. The Destroyer - clearly infuriated by his loss in last week's main event - laid waste to Lince Dorado with a sickening powerbomb before launching him over the ropes. Gran Metalik tried to fight back on behalf of his allies, but also suffered a beating, signed off with a Muscle Buster into the canvas. Finally, Kalisto sprung from the top rope and had The Samoan Submission Machine reeling, but after missing a high-flying dive, Joe applied the Coquina Clutch and put Kalisto to sleep. The Destroyer stood tall over the carnage and screamed "I'm the toughest SOB around here!" before taking his leave to boos from the WCW Universe. Message received loud and clear - Samoa Joe is not happy at all. The Nature Boy returns to WCW Nitro next week! It's been two weeks since Ric Flair lost to The Velveteen Dream at WCW SuperBrawl. Two weeks since The Nature Boy attended WCW Nitro as General Manager. Next week, the legend returns to office, and it's sure to be an exciting night as the 16-time World Champion exclusively revealed via WCW.com that he had big plans for the future of Nitro. What will Naitch have in store for the explosive brand when he makes his official return in just one week's time? WCW World Champion Drew McIntyre def. AJ Styles A highly anticipated rematch, Drew McIntyre and AJ Styles went toe-to-toe for the first time since their epic clash at WCW SuperBrawl just two weeks ago. This non-title bout thrilled the WCW Universe as The Phenomenal One got his chance to get his hands on the man that arguably stole the WCW World Championship from him thanks to some questionable tactics and interference at the pay-per-view. The battle went back and forth until Styles was about to hit McIntyre with his signature Phenomenal Forearm, but instead connected with the official, knocking him out cold. And with the referee down, it opened the door for another Nitro superstar to make an unexpected appearance... The Velveteen Dream. The flamboyant competitor stormed to ringside and drilled Styles with McIntyre's World Championship belt before dragging him to the outside and bouncing him off the announce desk. In an act of anger from last week's main event result, The Dream laid waste to former World Champion and sent him back into the ring before waking up the official. The Scottish Psychopath regrouped and capitalised on the situation, delivering a Claymore kick and securing the victory. The WCW World Champion stood tall, his focus now allowed to be set on his future challenger, Seth Rollins. But meanwhile, The Velveteen Dream climbed into the ring and stood over the fallen Phenomenal One, looking down and shaking his head. He mounted Styles in the center of the ring and got right in his face, telling him "I'm the star, not you" and then raising his hands into the air to thunderous boos from the crowd. The Dream has struck, and Styles was his target.

Dean Ambrose returns to address his recent absence and challenge Jeff Hardy The Lunatic Fringe made a shock return to ECW last week, costing Jeff Hardy his match in the ECW Television Championship Tournament, arriving unexpectedly and acting as distraction for The Charismatic Enigma. Ambrose opened tonight's show to declare his return, and explained that he had to take time away to rethink and recalculate his approach. The result? Still as crazy as ever. The former World Champion stated that he has no gameplan, he has no tactics, he's simply here to seek and destroy, and that's what he intends to do to Jeff Hardy. He laid out the official challenge, calling for one last match at ECW One Night Stand to settle it all. "Come on, Mr. Daredevil. Take a risk. Fight me one last time" he snarled. Will Jeff Hardy accept this bold challenge? The ECW Television Championship Tournament continues! From sixteen men down to just four, the ECW Television Championship Tournament reaches its semi-final stage. Tonight, the two finalists will be found as Rob Van Dam goes up against the monstrous Lars Sullivan, and the Bruiserweight, Pete Dunne goes head-to-head with the Man Beast, Rhyno. And that latter match is coming up - right now! Who will go on to ECW One Night Stand to compete to become the first ECW Television Champion of the New Era? Pete Dunne def. Rhyno to advance to the finals of the ECW Television Championship Tournament Getting right into the action, the first of tonight's two semi-final bouts commenced, pitting the young Pete Dunne against the dangerously powerful, Rhyno. The more experienced Man Beast went right to work, continuing to display the all-new aggression we have seen from him these last few weeks, keeping Dunne at bay. But when the ECW faithful began to rally behind the Bruiserweight, he used that energy to battle back and even the odds. But just as Rhyno looked to be homing in on a victory with his signature Gore, Dunne was able to leapfrog the devastating move and send the former ECW World Champion into the steel post. Capitalising on the situation, Dunne planted his adversary with the Bitter End and picked up a momentous win, having defeated a former World Champion and advancing to the finals of the ECW Television Championship Tournament. "Bruiserweight!" chanted the crowd as Dunne celebrated his well-earned victory, much to the fury of Rhyno. But the question is now, who will he face at ECW One Night Stand? Will it be Lars Sullivan, or Rob Van Dam? Candice LeRae & Dakota Kai def. The Riott Squad It's no secret that The Land of Extreme has never really been the home of any women's revolution, but the New Era has turned that on its head. Not only will the Women's World Championship be defended at ECW One Night Stand in two weeks, but the female extremists have flourished since arriving on the brand. Candice LeRae and Dakota Kai partnered up tonight to take on Sarah Logan and Liv Morgan of The Riott Squad, and were able to topple the dominant duo as their leader, Ruby Riott watched on. After sending Morgan crashing to the floor on the outside, they were able to isolate Logan and hit her with an impressive combination that culminated in a tandem kick to secure the win. LeRae and Kai are just two of the names at the forefront of ECW's women's movement, and later tonight, it continues as the number one contender to the Women's World Championship, Shayna Baszler will be in action. Aleister Black sends a sinister warning to The Family and vows to show them what Evil truly is The formation of The Family has sent shockwaves through The Land of Extreme, especially for their prime target, Aleister Black. But this week, it was The Dutch Destroyer that made his way to the ring, sending chills down the spines of each and every hardcore faithful in attendance. With a much more sinister expression, Aleister Black sat cross-legged in the center of the ring and made a direct statement to The Family. "You may have embodied the supernatural. You may have gained control of the darkness. You may have freed your minds from reality. But what you have not done, is experienced true Evil" he declared, glaring directly into the camera. Black stated that he would come to ECW One Night Stand for a war, and challenged the leader, Bray Wyatt to a match at the big event. But not just any match. The Evil One laid it all on the line and challenged him to a Steel Cage Match! The Harbinger of Fury and The Eater of Worlds inside the confines of a steel cage? It doesn't get much more extreme than that. Kassius Ohno collides with Tommaso Ciampa in tonight's main event Just two weeks away from the ECW World Championship clash between Finn Bálor and Johnny Gargano, their allies will go head-to-head in tonight's main event. The Knockout Artist has stood by Bálor as he battled against the odds of #DIY, but will he be able to take down The Psycho Killer, Ciampa tonight? Jeff Hardy def. Rusev; Hardy accepted Ambrose's One Night Stand challenge Most people believed that Jeff Hardy could have gone the whole way and captured the ECW Television Championship at ECW One Night Stand, but it seems that Dean Ambrose had other plans. The Lunatic Fringe returned to cost Hardy the match, and at the top of tonight's show, emerged to challenge Jeff Hardy to a One Last Time encounter at ECW One Night Stand. The Charismatic Enigma went into action against Rusev, picking up the victory with a huge Swanton Bomb and sending Rusev Day packing to the back. Moments after the closing bell, Hardy grabbed a microphone and addressed Ambrose's challenge, accepting without any hesitation. He said he would see The Lunatic Fringe at One Night Stand, for one last time, and this time, it will end one way or another, because he wants to add a stipulation to the epic collision - Loser Leaves ECW! Who will walk out of One Night Stand a winner, and who will leave without their job? ECW Tag Team Champions The Bludgeon Brothers def. Tye Dillinger & Zack Ryder In just two weeks, The Bludgeon Brothers will defend their ECW Tag Team Championships against The Dudley Boyz in a match that the ECW originals made famous - the Tables Match. But Harper and Rowan aren't exactly ones to back down from a challenge, as the monstrous duo vowed to crush The Dudleyz at their own game. And in a sort of preview, the big men decimated the team of Tye Dillinger and Zack Ryder tonight, even sending a message to their challengers by putting both of them through a table. Rowan planted Ryder through the wood via a chokeslam over the ropes and down to the arena floor, while Dillinger fell victim to a powerbomb from Harper inside the ropes. But at ECW One Night Stand it will be different, as the match is over the moment somebody is driven through a table. Will The Bludgeons really be able to conquer The Dudleyz in their own comfort zone? Or will the Hall of Fame team add yet another title reign to their resume? Kevin Owens' "apology" is crashed by Sami Zayn Best friends turned bitter enemies. Last week, Sami Zayn returned from an injury sustained at the hands of his former best buddy, Kevin Owens and unleashed all hell on the former World Champion in the process. This week, The Prizefighter made his way to the ring and stood before the ECW faithful, looking surprisingly remorseful. He began by saying he understands what Zayn did to him last week, and he wanted to come out and set the record straight by apologising. The entire arena was confused, where had this emotion come from? But then it became clear, as Owens explained that he apologises for not crushing Sami's throat enough to keep him away for good. KO began shouting, claiming that Zayn was always holding him back, and he doesn't even deserve to be in the same arena as him, blaming him for causing him to lose the ECW World Championship. "You're a disease, Sami!" he bellowed to boos from the ECW faithful. But suddenly, The Underdog from the Underground appeared and the crowd went wild. Like last week, Zayn unleashed a furious attack on his former ally, brawling with him all around the ringside area. The fight once again got out of hand and officials had to rush down to separate the two. Zayn could be heard screaming "I'll see you at One Night Stand, you son of a bitch!" as he was pulled away. Owens wiped the blood from his mouth, his face red with rage, glaring at his old buddy. These two are going to fight til the end, and it seems like it will happen at ECW One Night Stand. One of these men, will not walk out the same. Lars Sullivan def. Rob Van Dam to advance to the finals of the ECW Television Championship Tournament Pete Dunne secured his place in the finals earlier tonight, and now it was time to find out who his opponent would be. And how fitting that Rob Van Dam had the opportunity to get his hands on The Freak after suffering beatings from Sullivan in recent weeks. The former World Champion had the crowd behind him as he looked to topple the monstrous competitor, using his agility to stay out of the clutches of his larger opponent. But with Drew Gulak by ringside, it was easier said than done. As RVD took to the top rope, appearing to prepare for his signature Five-Star Frog Splash, Gulak grabbed his legs, refusing to let go. The Whole F'n Show kicked Gulak from the apron, sending him crashing to the floor, but it was enough to allow Sullivan to regroup and grab Van Dam from the top and plant him with a Freak Accident to secure the victory. The monster had advanced to the finals of the ECW Television Championship Tournament, and we now know that he will take on Pete Dunne for the gold at ECW One Night Stand. Can the Bruiserweight outmatch such a powerful monster? Drew Gulak certainly thinks not, stepping into the ring and declaring Sullivan the uncrowned ECW Television Champion. And looking at the undefeated streak of The Freak, it's hard to argue that point at all. Shayna Baszler def. Natalya; Becky Lynch gets extreme The Queen of Spades made her intentions clear last week when she interrupted and attacked the Women's World Champion, Becky Lynch during her very first appearance on ECW. Baszler will now challenge Becky for the title at ECW One Night Stand. But in the meantime, she continued to show her dominance, picking up a victory over a former Women's Champion, Natalya by forcing her to submit to the Kirifuda Clutch. But as the number one contender celebrated her win, she was blindsided by her One Night Stand opponent, Becky Lynch herself. The Man arrived with a steel chair, showing that she could get extreme if the moment called for it, cracking Baszler over the back of the head with the steel. The Women's World Champion stood tall to the delight of the ECW faithful and held both her Championship and the steel chair above her head as Baszler reluctantly retreated up the aisle. "Your move, Shayna" yelled Becky. The Family deliver a horrifying warning to Aleister Black Aleister Black may have issued the challenge earlier tonight, but The Family certainly had the last laugh. In the eerie surroundings of The Wyatt Compound, Bray Wyatt and Eric Young emerged to directly address The Dutch Destroyer and his Steel Cage challenge. Young questioned Black's "SAnitY" for issuing such a challenge, and promised that he would live to regret it until the day he dies. The Eater of Worlds stepped forward and guaranteed that hell would be opened at ECW One Night Stand, and Aleister Black's soul would be devoured within the confines of the steel cage. "You claim to be capable of Evil acts, Aleister. But you forget, that Evil was created by The Reaper. I am The Reaper. And your time on this Earth has come to its end... run". Nikki Cross suddenly burst onto the screen and screamed into the camera before everything cut to black. The war is on, and some dark forces will be present when these two collide. Tommaso Ciampa def. Kassius Ohno; Johnny Gargano locks Finn Bálor in the Gargano Escape The dynamic of #DIY has dominated the ECW World Championship scene, and that continued tonight as Tommaso Ciampa was able to take down Kassius Ohno. The Knockout Artist put up a valiant effort, fighting for himself and Finn Bálor, but when the number one contender arrived on the scene and delivered a superkick to the jaw of KO, it was all but over. Tommaso Ciampa hit the Fairy Tale Ending and picked up the victory, standing side-by-side with Johnny Wrestling in celebration. But even after the bell, the pair continued to beat down on The Knockout Artist, until the ECW World Champion, Finn Bálor arrived to even the odds. However, it seemed that this was the plan all along, as #DIY were ready for Bálor's arrival, drilling him with a double superkick and then laying him out with a Meeting in the Middle. The number one contender dragged his adversary to the outside and locked him in a Gargano Escape, wrenching away as The Extraordinary Man screamed in pain. The Psycho Killer held off the official from breaking the hold as Gargano continued to apply pressure. Tonight's ECW came to an uncomfortable close as the Gargano Escape took hold.

Triple H announces WWE-exclusive pay-per-view with blockbuster WWE World Championship main event; Stone Cold lobbies for Roman Reigns to be added to the match leading to huge main event The Game promised a huge announcement, and he delivered. Just like WCW and ECW before it, WWE Raw will have its own brand-exclusive event in three weeks - WWE No Mercy. But that wasn't the only announcement that Triple H had to make, as he revealed the main event of that very pay-per-view would be a WWE World Championship Match between "The New" Daniel Bryan... and Brock Lesnar. The WWE Universe were not too happy at the decision, but The King of Kings declared that this would be "best for business". However, one person who had something to say was the General Manager, Stone Cold Steve Austin. The Texas Rattlesnake stormed to the ring and confronted his old rival, claiming that the suit and tie had gone to The Game's head. Austin explained that he understood that Triple H's role within the industry had changed, but he was still appointed as the General Manager of WWE Raw, and that's why he's going to insert another element into this blockbuster main event - Roman Reigns. A roar exploded from the WWE Universe, as The Game's face crunched up in a rage. He reminded Austin who his boss was and got up in the face of the Hall of Famer, before slowly stepping back and regaining his cool. "Alright, you can have your way, Austin. But under one condition" explains HHH, "If Roman Reigns wants another shot at the WWE World Championship, then he must earn it". The Game declared that Roman Reigns would compete in tonight's main event - against the WWE World Champion, Daniel Bryan! If he is victorious, he will be added to the main event of WWE No Mercy. Can The Big Dog beat The Planet's Champion with a title shot up for grabs? Roman Reigns to fight for his golden opportunity against "The New" Daniel Bryan As announced by Triple H, Roman Reigns will have to earn his place in the No Mercy WWE World Championship Match by defeating the reigning Champion in non-title action. Can he score a huge win and insert himself into the blockbuster match, or will The Planet's Champion keep The Big Dog chained down and keep it between himself and Brock Lesnar? The New Day vs. The Usos ends in a no contest when The Revival attack for the second week in a row Last week, The Revival took matters into their own hands, crashing a tag team bout between Heavy Machinery and The Street Profits, establishing their dominance over the tag team division and refusing to be embarrassed anymore. They repeated their actions this week, inserting themselves into a match between long-time rivals, The New Day and The Usos, attacking both teams and standing tall yet again after hitting a Shatter Machine on Xavier Woods. The WWE Tag Team Champions stood over the carnage and declared that the "tag team purge" had begun. Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder are taking no prisoners. "Glorious" Robert Roode def. Apollo Crews The rise of The Glorious One has been a focal point of WWE Raw the last couple of weeks, and his success rolled over into tonight's episode. However, not quite in the way that many would appreciate. As opposed to his previous two victories that were fairly decisive, Apollo Crews gave Roode a run for his money, coming close to defeating the former Intercontinental Champion after hitting him with an impressive standing moonsault. But Roode was not about to let his resurgence end like that, and pulled out the old underhanded tactics, rolling Crews up and grasping a handful of tights out of the view of the official, securing himself a cheap win. The Glorious One quickly fled ringside with a grin from ear-to-ear as Crews looked on in disappointment, the WWE Universe just as upset with the result. If that's why Robert Roode is "glorious", then he has a very different idea of it than we do. Women's World Champion Becky Lynch & Ronda Rousey def. Alexa Bliss & Mickie James A strange encounter with Ronda Rousey last week left The Man confused, as The Rowdy One gave her some "friendly advice" ahead of her title defence at ECW One Night Stand against Shayna Baszler. This week, Rousey and Lynch once again crossed paths, but in tag team action as the former UFC Champion came to the side of the Women's World Champion as she faced a 2-on-1 situation against Alexa Bliss and Mickie James. The pair worked together to defeat their adversaries and picked up a victory with Lynch forcing James to submit to the Dis-Arm-Her. Moments after the bell, Rousey raised Becky's hand and applauded her before leaving, giving us yet another confusing and awkward moment. "I got your back" shouted Rousey as she left up the aisle, The Man staring out in confusion. Say what you will, but Ronda Rousey seems to be very supportive of the current Women's World Champion. An old rivalry renewed for one-on-one bout later tonight! When chaos broke out after a match between Baron Corbin and Tyler Bate last week, John Cena and his old rival, The Miz ended up coming to blows. Tonight, the two will collide and revive their old rivalry while their respective rivals undoubtedly watch from the back. Can the 16-time World Champion silence The A-List superstar? Or will The Miz repeat the result of their WrestleMania 27 clash and defeat The Cenation Leader? "The New" Daniel Bryan declares himself the victim of "unfair treatment" following WWE No Mercy announcement The outspoken WWE World Champion once again spoke to the WWE Universe, clearly enraged by the announcement made by Triple H at the top of the show. The Planet's Champion claimed that he is the victim of a conspiracy, and has been unfairly treated as World Champion. Declaring himself "the only true worthy Champion", he stated that Brock Lesnar had done nothing to earn a shot at the WWE World Championship, and certainly doesn't deserve it based off his work ethic. Bryan reminds everyone that he puts his body on the line day in, day out for little to no appreciation, while Brock Lesnar comes and goes as he pleases. He then moves on to tonight's main event against Roman Reigns, declaring that of all people, Reigns doesn't deserve another opportunity. Growling into the camera, Daniel Bryan bellowed that he is "the greatest wrestler of all time" and would remain WWE World Champion until he breathes his last breath. The Planet's Champion stormed off the screen having made his point clear. Braun Strowman def. Breezango in a 2-on-1 Handicap Match Handicap matches are generally used as a way of punishing a superstar. But not this one. This one was actually requested by Braun Strowman. Following his huge victory over Randy Orton in last week's Street Fight main event, The Monster Among Men was back on the hunt for competition, and was presented with Fandango and Tyler Breeze in this 2-on-1 bout. The monstrous competitor bulldozed his way through the competition, crushing both members of The Fashion Police and ultimately finishing Fandango off with a thunderous running powerslam. After the match, The Monster Among Men demanded some more competition, stating that he needed more victims. Who will be next to step up toe the man mountain? Intercontinental Champion The Miz def. John Cena This highly anticipated encounter was finally upon us, and right from the get-go, The Miz was already getting in the head of the 16-time World Champion, reminding them of their WrestleMania 27 encounter. But Cena wasn't about to let The A-Lister take control, and unleashed a flurry of shots on his adversary. The match went back-and-forth with the former World Champions going at it tooth and nail. However, as The Cenation Leader looked to be closing in on a victory, measuring his opponent for an Attitude Adjustment, his recent rival, Baron Corbin emerged and jumped onto the ring apron to distract him. Cena rushed towards The Lone Wolf and sent him crashing to the arena floor, but the damage had been done as The Miz quickly struck and delivered a Skull-Crushing Finale, pinning Cena for the victory. The pair stood over the iconic competitor, but before they could do any further damage, Tyler Bate arrived with steel chair in hand! The British superstar chased the attackers away, Miz and Corbin retreating up the aisle with smirks on their faces as Bate tended to his fallen friend. Chad Gable def. Mike Kanellis; Bobby Lashley and Lio Rush watch on from backstage It seems like Kurt Angle is passing on his wisdom. Chad Gable went into action against Mike Kanellis tonight on WWE Raw and pulled out all the stops, showing off his ability in the ring. But it was the end of the bout that got people talking, as Gable took a page out of his mentor's book, applying the Ankle Lock and forcing Kanellis into submission. Redeeming his loss to Bobby Lashley last week, Gable celebrated with Kurt Angle in the ring. Meanwhile, The All Mighty and his adviser, Lio Rush watched on a monitor backstage before Rush stated that they would show Angle and Gable who the true pure athletes on WWE Raw are. John Cena and Tyler Bate unite to take on their rivals, Baron Corbin and The Miz next week! The past few weeks have seen the rivalries between John Cena and Baron Corbin, and The Miz and Tyler Bate become intertwined. And what better way to settle that score than in a tag team match? The two rivalries will enter a collision course next week when Cena and Bate team up to take on Corbin and Miz. Which team will walk out with the victory and the 1-up on their respective rival? Roman Reigns def. WWE World Champion "The New" Daniel Bryan to be added to the main event of WWE No Mercy The Big Dog had his chance, thanks to Stone Cold Steve Austin who lobbied for Roman Reigns to be added after Triple H initially scheduled the main event of WWE No Mercy to be a one-on-one bout between Daniel Bryan and Brock Lesnar. Austin's intervention paid off as Reigns went into a hard-hitting battle against The Planet's Champion. Bryan battled with The Big Dog to the very end, trying to do whatever he could to keep him out of the WWE World Championship picture. But he was ultimately unsuccessful in his attempts as Reigns capitalised on a missed attempt for a running knee, following it up with a Spear to secure the victory. As Reigns emotionally celebrated his victory, now realising he now had the opportunity to capture the WWE World Championship, he was interrupted by the arrival of the third element of the situation - Brock Lesnar. The Beast initially stormed towards the ringside area, but stopped before the ring apron, instead opting to step back and simply smirk at The Big Dog. Reigns invited Lesnar into the ring, but the former World Champion turned away and left to boos from the WWE Universe. Lesnar will no doubt show up for WWE No Mercy, but he doesn't fight on anyone else's terms. Only his.

Ric Flair returns and gets right back to business as General Manager of WCW Nitro He's back! The Nature Boy made his anticipated return to the explosive brand after taking a short hiatus to recover from his match with The Velveteen Dream at WCW SuperBrawl. The 16-time World Champion was overcome with emotion as chants of "Nature Boy" filled the arena, thanking the WCW Universe for their support. Wasting no time kicking things off, the Hall of Famer revealed his intentions to make sure that WCW Nitro is the best brand it can be, and the superior show of the New Era. With that said, he announced a first-time ever main event that will see the number one contender to the WCW World Championship, Seth Rollins take on The Velveteen Dream! And not only that, but we will also see The Undisputed ERA compete as one whole unit to take on Ricochet, The War Raiders and the Cruiserweight Champion, Ali in a huge Eight-Man Tag Team match. Tonight will be a night to remember, that's for sure. Welcome back, Ric! Charlotte Flair & Lacey Evans def. Asuka & Kairi Sane Just moments after the return of her father, Charlotte Flair made her own impact by making her own return to WCW Nitro after her absence last week. She surprisingly came to the assistance of Lacey Evans, acting as her tag team partner against the team of Asuka and Kairi Sane. The Queen and The Lady seemed to be a match made perfect as they were able to defeat the Japanese pair, finishing the match with Charlotte forcing Sane into submission with the Figure-Eight Leglock. In a strange turn of events, Flair and Evans stood side-by-side, apparently forming what seems to be an alliance, and a dominant one at that. Samoa Joe def. Kalisto At the request of Kalisto himself, this match took place after Samoa Joe's vicious assault on The Lucha House Party last week. The luchadore put the happy-go-lucky attitude aside for tonight as he looked to get revenge on behalf of his allies, but it didn't turn out quite as he had hoped. The Destroyer was clearly still in a foul mood, and his aggression didn't let up as he dismantled his adversary, delivering several stiff shots, keeping the high-flyer grounded. And finally, the Samoan Submission Machine was able to put Kalisto away with a devastating Muscle Buster for the victory. Samoa Joe stood tall over his victim once again, raising his hand as the victor. When will Samoa Joe's chaotic rampage come to an end? Drew McIntyre guarantees victory over Seth Rollins in next week's WCW World Championship bout The Scottish Psychopath decided it was time to directly address his number one contender, Seth Rollins and definitely didn't mince his words in doing so. The WCW World Champion declared his superiority over the rest of the locker room, claiming that Seth Rollins' glory is merely temporary, as he will be destroyed and thrown to the bottom of the pile once he is finished with him. Referring back to last week's main event, McIntyre stated that he would have defeated AJ Styles regardless of The Velveteen Dream's involvement, just like he will defeat Seth Rollins next week. "I have always been The Chosen One, and now I am the King" he bellowed, "But you will not slay me, Seth Rollins". McIntyre will no doubt be watching tonight's main event closely as his challenger goes head-to-head with The Velveteen Dream. The Undisputed ERA def. Ricochet, The War Raiders & Cruiserweight Champion Ali It has boiled down to this, after weeks of chaos, all eight men competed in one match. The Undisputed ERA went head-to-head with their enemies as Ricochet, Ali and The War Raiders united as one, hoping to vanquish the dominant force that The Undisputed ERA presents. The strange combination of talented athletes took the black and yellow quartet to the limit, but when it came to experience as a unit, Adam Cole's group had an upper hand. After O'Reilly and Fish took out The War Raiders on the outside, the two high-flyers, Ricochet and Ali went head-to-head with Cole and Strong. But The One and Only would crash and burn when Cole dragged Strong out of the way of a 630 Senton attempt. This left the Cruiserweight Champion to take the fall, receiving a Last Shot from the United States Champion for the win. The Undisputed ERA stood tall to end the match, having defeated their adversaries, despite a valiant effort. Tonight was not the night of good defeating evil, it was simply the night of Undisputed. Rey Mysterio def. Dolph Ziggler The Master of the 619 resurfaced on a night full of returns to the ring, and went up against Dolph Ziggler in singles action. The former World Champions clashed with pride on the line, hoping to make their next impact and impress the powers that be, but when it was all said and done, it was the legendary luchadore that walked away with the winning fall. After a Zig Zag attempt was unsuccessful, Mysterio tripped up The Show-off, landing him in the precarious position of the middle rope. Mysterio struck with his signature 619 and then delivered a Frog Splash from the top rope in homage to the late, great Eddie Guerrero. Three seconds later and Mysterio's hand was raised in victory. The Biggest Little Man stood tall as WCW Nitro continued, looking forward to his next move. Andrade "Cien" Almas interrupts Sting's WCW Universe address The Icon has returned. Making his official in-ring return last week, defeating Elias, the Hall of Famer came to the ring tonight on WCW Nitro to address the WCW Universe and delighted them with the news that he is here to stay. Refusing to give in until he is physically unable to continue, the Stinger made a promise that he would have one last run to the top, and claim the WCW World Championship one more time. However, this emotional moment was ruined when Andrade "Cien" Almas and Zelina Vega crashed the party. The self-proclaimed "Pride of Mexico" rudely mocked the legend, howling as Sting would usually do himself. Vega stepped forward and spoke for her client, stating that Andrade had already proven himself more than a legend by defeating Rey Mysterio at WCW SuperBrawl. But now that another challenge raises its head, the former NXT Champion looked to add another legend to his list. Claiming that Andrade deserves a WCW World Championship opportunity before a "washed-up has-been" like Sting, Vega made it clear that The Icon would have to deal with El Idolo first. Sting responded in kind, inviting Almas to come to the ring and let him shove his baseball bat where the sun doesn't shine! However, Vega declined and explained that Andrade only competes on his own terms. The pair left to boos from the crowd as Sting shrugged his shoulders having laid out the challenge. Something tells us this isn't the last we have heard of this situation. Shinsuke Nakamura def. Elias All Elias may have gained from challenging Sting last week may be bad luck. The Living Truth returned to action this week, hoping to redeem himself after his loss to The Icon, only to suffer yet another defeat, this time at the hands of The King of Strong Style, Shinsuke Nakamura. Elias attempted to fight back and even came close to defeating The Rockstar by rolling him up with a handful of tights. However, Nakamura kicked out bad followed it up with a Kinshasa to secure the win. Whether it's a streak of poor luck or a "creative block" on the part of The Sinister Songsmith, he's going to have to go back to the drawing board. EC3 def. Cedric Alexander The continued rise of EC3 has caught the attention of the entire WCW Universe, and it rolled right through this week's episode as he picked up yet another victory over Cedric Alexander. The Top 1% finished the high-flying superstar off with his signature One Percenter, sealing the deal. Moments after the final bell, EC3 grabbed a microphone and addressed the world, reminding everyone that he is indeed The Top 1%, and nobody can touch him. Bold words, but he currently has the record to back it up. Shane McMahon welcomes Ric Flair back to WCW Nitro but reveals that he intends to stick around The Nature Boy may be back in charge, but it seems that Shane McMahon may have settled into the role a bit too much during his tenure as General Manager while Flair took time away to recover. The Prodigal Son approached Flair backstage to welcome him back to the explosive brand, but also informed the Hall of Famer that he intended to stick around on WCW Nitro as he "kind of enjoyed it". Looking confused, Flair explained that Shane McMahon was always welcome on WCW Nitro, to which Shane-O-Mac responded, "I know" before taking his leave. What are Shane McMahon's motives for staying on WCW Nitro? Does he even need any? After all, this is still very much the McMahon's world. Seth Rollins def. The Velveteen Dream via disqualification; Rollins and Styles take the fight to McIntyre and The Dream As announced by Ric Flair at the top of the show, this first time ever bout headlined this week's edition of WCW Nitro, and also acted as Seth Rollins' last chance to gain momentum heading into his WCW World Championship opportunity against Drew McIntyre next week. The two competitors went back-and-forth for the most part and both came close to securing the victory, but just as The Architect looked ready to "burn it down" with a Stomp, he was blindsided by The Scottish Psychopath who clubbed him over the back of the head with the World title belt. The official had no choice but to call for the ring bell, but this didn't stop McIntyre and The Velveteen Dream unleashing a post-match beatdown on the number one contender. Luckily for Rollins, a Phenomenal ally would emerge to make the save. AJ Styles rushed to the ring and evened the odds, making sure to get his hands on The Dream who attacked him during last week's main event, returning the favour in kind. Styles flew over the ropes to take the flamboyant superstar to the floor while The Kingslayer bounced back and delivered his signature Stomp to the WCW World Champion. He and AJ Styles stood side-by-side in union as The Dream and McIntyre reluctantly retreated. Next week, Seth Rollins and Drew McIntyre will clash with the WCW World Championship on the line. Who will walk out in possession of the big gold belt?

Paul Heyman announces the Extreme Open Battle Royal to take place at ECW One Night Stand to determine the next challenger for the ECW World Championship The ECW World Championship will headline One Night Stand as Finn Bálor defends the prestigious title against Johnny Gargano. But Paul Heyman doesn't like to hang around before making his next move, and that's why whoever walks out of the Hammerstein Ballroom as Champion will already have their next challenger. The Father of Extreme made his way into the arena to reveal that this Sunday, there will be an Extreme Open Battle Royal to determine the next challenger for the ECW World Championship. Heyman made it extremely clear that this match would be open to absolutely anybody, anybody who feels that they are "extreme" enough to challenge for the World title. "I don't give a damn if you're from WWE Raw, if you're from WCW Nitro, or from right here on ECW" he declared, "Hell, I don't care if you don't even work here at all! If you think you can step between these ropes and get extreme, then bring it on". The opportunity had been laid out, and now it's just a matter of waiting to see who will rise to the occasion. Leave it to Paul Heyman to raise stakes. The Lunatic Fringe and The Charismatic Enigma sign the official contract for their Loser Leaves ECW bout at ECW One Night Stand - tonight! Announced last week when Jeff Hardy accepted the challenge, he and Dean Ambrose will collide this Sunday for one last time, with the loser forced to leave The Land of Extreme. This heated rivalry has reached the point where one man must leave, and that is exactly what will happen at One Night Stand. Hardy and Ambrose sign the official contract tonight, but who will leave the Hammerstein Ballroom with their own contract still intact? Rob Van Dam def. Rhyno Just moments after Paul Heyman had announced the Extreme Open Battle Royal, it was confirmed that both Rob Van Dam and Rhyno would be participants in the bout, leading into this one-on-one contest. The two ECW originals collided just a week after they both came up short in the semi finals of the ECW Television Championship Tournament, and it was The Whole F'n Show that walked out with the victory, avoiding a Gore from the Man Beast and hitting his signature Five-Star Frog Splash. The former World Champion stood over his fallen foe and celebrated with the hardcore faithful. Could Rob Van Dam be the one to go all the way and earn his place as number one contender this Sunday? The Dudley Boyz def. The Colóns The ECW Tag Team Champions made an emphatic statement last week when they defeated the tandem of Tye Dillinger and Zack Ryder, putting both men through tables as a direct message to their challengers, the Dudley Boyz. However, not discouraged by the display, the legendary tag team arrived on ECW tonight and issued an equally dominant beating to Primo and Epico Colón. The Hall of Famers planted Epico with a 3-D to pick up the victory and stood in celebration amidst the ECW faithful. Bubba Ray grabbed a microphone and declared that he and his brother were saving the tables for Harper and Rowan, and promised to show them how it feels to "get wood". "Testify!" shouted D-Von as the pair left ringside, ready for their title opportunity this Sunday. The Man invades ECW again and a brawl breaks out between Becky Lynch and Shayna Baszler We saw Becky Lynch get extreme last week, emerging on ECW and taking a steel chair to her challenger, Shayna Baszler. This week, The Queen of Spades came to the ring and addressed the Women's World Champion, promising to end her career this Sunday at ECW One Night Stand. She also had a few things to say about Ronda Rousey, who had been seemingly supporting The Man as she prepared to face Baszler, albeit in a confusing and suspicious manner. But no sooner had the number one contender stated that she guarantees victory, Becky Lynch made yet another appearance in The Land of Extreme, wasting no time in taking the fight to her challenger. A chaotic brawl ensued and officials were forced to separate the pair. Which one of these women will leave the Hammerstein Ballroom as the Women's World Champion? Johnny Gargano to address Finn Bálor just days before their ECW World Championship clash Just days before he goes head-to-head with Finn Bálor for the ECW World Championship, Johnny Gargano will address his adversary directly. After last week's display of aggression from him and his #DIY companion, Tommaso Ciampa, what will Johnny Wrestling have to say to the man he intends to dethrone at ECW One Night Stand? Drew Gulak def. Pete Dunne The finals of the ECW Television Championship Tournament take place this Sunday at ECW One Night Stand, and one of those competitors involved is Pete Dunne. The other? Lars Sullivan. But tonight, it was Sullivan's "handler", Drew Gulak that went into battle against the Bruiserweight, and with The Freak watching on from ringside, it was never going to be simple. Dunne came within moments of defeating the self-proclaimed "anti-extremist", but it was then when Sullivan chose to strike. He ambushed his One Night Stand opponent and unleashed a hellish beating, laying Dunne out cold. Gulak capitalised and hooked the leg to secure an upset victory over the Bruiserweight and stood tall alongside his monster. Pete Dunne has his work cut out for him this Sunday if he wants to walk out as the first ECW Television Champion of the New Era. Kevin Owens viciously assaults Sami Zayn during a backstage interview The hardcore faithful are used to bitter and bloody feuds, but maybe not quite like this. These two former best friends aren't just trying to hurt each other, they're trying to kill each other. As Sami Zayn began an exclusive interview addressing his recent return and his revenge-fuelled attacks on Kevin Owens the last couple of weeks, he was blindsided by the very man in question. KO struck with a steel pipe to the back of Zayn's skull and proceeded to tear his jacket and shirt from his body, dragging him around the backstage area like a rag doll. "You want to do this, Sami?!" he repeatedly screamed as he threw The Underdog from the Underground into anything that they passed. Travelling into the parking lot, Owens slammed a car door into the shoulder of his former best friend, and then went on to continue beating him with shot after shot. Eventually, security arrived on the scene and apprehended Owens, dragging him away from the scene. He could be heard shouting "I'll see you Sunday!" as he was removed from the area, medical personal tending to Sami Zayn. This is more than just a rivalry, this is downright personal. Rusev def. No Way Jose, Goldust & Mojo Rawley in a Four-Way Dance It seems the Extreme Open Battle Royal has motivated a lot of ECW's extremists, and everyone is out to prove why they deserve to win the opportunity. Four men did battle tonight in a match synonymous with The Land of Extreme, a Four-Way Dance. First to be eliminated was Mojo Rawley who fell victim to a ¡Toma! from No Way Jose. Goldust was the next person to leave the match, courtesy of Rusev's Machka Kick, and a little help from Aiden English who hung the legendary competitor up on the top rope to send him into The Bulgarian Brute. And finally, No Way Jose put on an incredible display against the former United States Champion, but was unable to see the job through as he was forced to submit to The Accolade, giving Rusev the victory. The Bulgarian Brute stood tall in celebration, Aiden English leading the chant of "Rusev Day!" as Lana declared that her husband would win the Extreme Open Battle Royal this Sunday. It's hard to argue after a display like that. Loser Leaves ECW contract signing turns violent as Ambrose puts Hardy through a table Next week, only one of these men will be an official member of the ECW roster, and the other will be left on the unemployment line. But it's the only way to make sure that this is indeed the final time they collide. The Charismatic Enigma ditched the facepaint for this occasion as he prepared to sign the contract that could potentially put an end to his own. Dean Ambrose on the other hand attended the scene looking ready for a fight as always. Paul Heyman returned to ringside to oversee the proceedings and ensured that both men signed the dotted line to make the match and stipulation official. After a war of words, both men did indeed sign the necessary paperwork and Heyman officially declared the match would take place, with one man's contract being terminated as a result of a loss. But when has a contract signing ever gone without a hitch? Dean Ambrose lunged across the tables and tackled Hardy to the ground, forcing the former World Champion to have to fight back. Ultimately, it ended with Ambrose driving his rival through the contract table with a vicious powerbomb, leaving Hardy laying. The Lunatic Fringe smirked as he looked down at his foe and mockingly gestured with his hand the very same gesture that Jeff Hardy uses. One way or another, one of these men will be forced to leave The Land of Extreme. Aleister Black def. Killian Dain The match that was supposed to take place weeks ago as part of the ECW Television Championship Tournament, finally rescheduled for tonight. And mysteriously, Bray Wyatt had ordered the rest of The Family to stay away from ringside, declaring moments before the match he wanted to "observe Aleister Black" before their Steel Cage bout at One Night Stand this Sunday. The Dutch Destroyer pulled out all the stops and showed off a very focused offence after being absent for a few weeks, eventually finishing off The Beast of Belfast with the Black Mass. Aleister Black stood tall over Dain and looked up to the aisle where The Family had assembled before him. Wyatt simply spread his arms wide and began laughing maniacally. When these two collide inside the steel cage, it is sure to be a wild ride if anything. Finn Bálor vows to bring The Demon to One Night Stand as Johnny Gargano addresses the ECW faithful No Tommaso Ciampa. No #DIY. Johnny Gargano came to the ring tonight alone, surprising many of the ECW faithful, but it was clear that the number one contender wanted this address to come directly from him. Firstly, he explained why he was alone, claiming that this isn't about anybody else but him. Johnny Wrestling declared that he had scratched and clawed his way to every opportunity he has ever got, and has always done good by everyone else. "But where has that got me?" he asked. He went on to say that while many have turned their back on him after what he did to get this opportunity, he didn't care because this was his chance to claim what he believes is rightfully his. "This Sunday, Finn Bálor loses the ECW World Championship. And I gain the respect I deserve" he bellowed. But before he could continue, the lights began to flicker, and the titantron jolted into action, showing a darkened corridor in the arena. Suddenly, the camera panned to show what can only be described as The Demon. The ECW faithful went crazy as he began to speak. "Johnny... this Sunday... you will be forced to atone for your sins... you won't just be facing Finn Bálor at ECW One Night Stand... you'll be standing face-to-face... with The Demon" he snarled as he spread his arms out wide. The titantron then shut off leaving Gargano looking flustered. The number one contender scanned around the arena with rage in his eyes as the show came to an end. We now know that Johnny Gargano will be going head-to-head with not just Finn Bálor... but The Demon King himself.

The Father of ECW gives an emotional welcome to ECW One Night Stand Paul Heyman has never been one to keep his emotions hidden, and he opened up tonight's huge pay-per-view event with an emotional address to the hardcore faithful, thanking them for their continued support. He declared that tonight marks another success for the ECW brand, promising that it will remain a worthy competitor to WWE and WCW. The extreme leader promised that tonight would make history, and it would not be for the weak of heart. He signed off with a clear statement - "This is E-C- ing-W!". Jeff Hardy def. Dean Ambrose in a Loser Leaves ECW Match While ECW One Night Stand is just beginning, one man's career in The Land of Extreme is about to be over. The bitter rivalry between Dean Ambrose and Jeff Hardy has come down to this. One man must leave the ECW brand, because it just isn't big enough for the both of them. The two former World Champions entered the Hammerstein Ballroom knowing that one contract would be terminated tonight, but they were determined for it not to be theirs. They immediately began to brawl, tearing into each other as they have done over the last few months, from one-on-one battles to Asylum Matches, they've been through hell. Jeff Hardy was able to bust open Ambrose with a steel chair during the contest and then delivered his own Twist of Fate, coming close to securing the victory, but The Lunatic Fringe wasn't going to stay down just like that. He battled back and used any weapon he could get his hands on, hitting Hardy in the gut with a Singapore cane, following it up with Dirty Deeds, almost capturing the win for himself. But as the match began to slow from fatigue, it was Jeff Hardy who threw Ambrose from the top rope and delivered his signature Swanton Bomb that enabled him to get the three count, resulting in the ECW contract of Dean Ambrose to be officially terminated. The Charismatic Enigma celebrated to the delight of the ECW faithful as Ambrose looked on, wiping the blood from his eyes and realising that his time had come. Without even looking back, The Lunatic Fringe left ringside, his expression one of disbelief. What is next for Dean Ambrose? The Dudley Boyz def. The Bludgeon Brothers in a Tables Match to become the new ECW Tag Team Champions; The Authors of Pain debut and destroy The Dudleyz Got wood? The Dudleyz sure have. The unstoppable force that is The Bludgeon Brothers had to defend their ECW Tag Team Championships against The Dudley Boyz in their own domain - a Tables Match. And boy, were Bubba Ray and D-Von ready for the challenge. The Hall of Fame duo wasted no time taking the fight to their rivals and even had the pair reeling as they settled right in to the familiar surroundings and began rallying an offence against the barbarians, Harper and Rowan. And despite the best efforts of the reigning title holders, they were unable to best the legendary team at their own game, suffering their very first defeat since joining ECW when Bubba Ray drove Harper through a table with a vicious powerbomb for the win. The Hammerstein Ballroom erupted as the ECW originals were declared the new ECW Tag Team Champions, and the brothers shared an emotional embrace as they were handed the gold. But unfortunately, this moment that was supposed to be remember in history was about to be turned completely on its head. The Dudleyz were taken by surprise as the lights began to flicker and a sinister theme began to play. Suddenly, Drake Maverick emerged through the curtain and was followed shortly after by Akam and Rezar... The Authors of Pain were here. The WWE Raw team began walking towards the ringside area, removing their entrance gear before Maverick pointed his fingers towards the ring, acting as the orchestrator in what can only be described as a tactical assault. The monstrous duo unleashed a hellish beating on the new ECW Tag Team Champions and left Bubba Ray laying after The Last Chapter. Akam, Rezar and Drake Maverick stood in the center of the ring to a chorus of boos from the ECW faithful. What business do they have here in ECW?! Becky Lynch def. Shayna Baszler to retain the Women's World Championship The last few weeks have seen Becky Lynch get extreme as she prepared to step into the ring against Shayna Baszler. Tonight, she proved that she fits right in to The Land of Extreme and took The Queen of Spades to the limit. With the ECW faithful surprisingly behind her, The Man went into battle against her challenger, immediately trying to submit Baszler with a series of submissions. However, the aggressive extremist was able to battle out and unleashed a vicious assault on the Women's World Champion, throwing her around the ring with suplexes and applying her own set of holds, almost pulling Lynch's arm from her socket with an armbar over the ropes. The Man battled back, gaining some distance between herself and her adversary, delivering a suicide dive to Baszler. But no sooner had the pair hit the ground, had The Queen of Spades sprung back to her feet and thrown Lynch into the guard rail. Taking advantage of the situation, she returned the fight to the ring and was able to lock in her signature Kirifuda Clutch - the same move that had put away so many more before. But somehow, some way, Becky Lynch was able to slip out of the devastating submission, once again gaining some separation. As Baszler got to her feet in disbelief, she charged towards the Women's World Champion, only to find herself taken to the canvas with a crucifix, and shockingly pinned to the mat for a three count. The Man quickly rolled out of the ring having defeated her challenger and retaining her title, much to the anger of Shayna Baszler. Becky Lynch retreated up the aisle in celebration, the ECW faithful in full support of her as Baszler screamed at the official in a fit of rage. The Man had conquered The Queen of Spades at ECW One Night Stand, leaving with her title intact once more. Bray Wyatt def. Aleister Black in a Steel Cage Match Aleister Black has been the victim of physical and mental abuse at the hands of Bray Wyatt and his new Family over the last few weeks, and it led to The Dutch Destroyer challenging his rival to a match for tonight. But not just any match - a Steel Cage Match! The two bitter enemies clashed inside the confines of the steel, standing face-to-face before the hardcore faithful and engaging in an all-out war. The Eater of World was already in the head of his adversary, and took an early advantage, using the cage as a weapon early on to ground Black. The former NXT Champion battled back and turned the tables, using the cage to his own advantage instead. Back and forth they went until Wyatt saw an opening and delivered his signature Sister Abigail in the center of the ring, hooking the leg and hoping to end it. But Black was able to kick out at two, refusing to stay down. Infuriated, Wyatt attempted a second Sister Abigail, only for The Dutch Destroyer to find a second wind and unleash a flurry of attacks on The Reaper. After dropping Wyatt with a well-timed kick, Black began to scale the cage wall, perhaps looking for a victory via escape. However, Wyatt sprung back into action and joined him, both men battling it out above the ring, clinging onto the steel for dear life. The Eater of Worlds raked the eyes of his opponent and slammed him head-first into the steel, opening Black up and sending him crashing to the mat. He then went on to capitalise, delivering a second Sister Abigail which grounded his adversary once and for all, allowing him to pick up the victory. Bray Wyatt stood tall over his fallen foe as the cage was raised, releasing the competitors. He dropped to his knees and laughed maniacally as he knelt over Black's motionless body. Even without The Family, Bray Wyatt stands tall as a force to be reckoned with, and Aleister Black found that out first-hand. Pete Dunne def. Lars Sullivan to become the first ECW Television Champion It began with sixteen men. Now it's down to just two. Pete Dunne and Lars Sullivan went head-to-head in the finals of the ECW Television Championship Tournament to crown the inaugural Champion of the New Era. The ECW faithful were solidly behind The Bruiserweight, but it was hard to go against the monstrous Lars Sullivan looking at the sheer size difference. As soon as the opening bell sounded, The Freak exploded from his corner and went on to brutally dismantle his adversary, giving Dunne little to no room to even breathe. Shot after shot, move after move, Sullivan ran through his opponent like a bulldozer and it seemed all but clear who was going to be leaving the Hammerstein Ballroom with the gold. However, when Sullivan opened Dunne up with a series of right hands during the bout, it seemed to wake up a monster within The Bruiserweight that we hadn't seen before. Dunne screamed in the face of his adversary, blood pouring from the wound, appearing to gain a second win at the sight of his own blood. Then it began, the comeback. The British up and comer went ballistic, unloading on Sullivan and battling back against the big man. Drew Gulak tried to step in to regain some control for his monstrous ally, but Dunne dealt with that with a steel chair shot to the skull. Keeping hold of the chair, Dunne returned to the ring and used it on The Freak, repeatedly beating him with the steel until he had worn down his opponent to the point that he could not get back up. With a scream, Dunne lifted Sullivan up into the air and somehow planted him onto the steel chair with a Bitter End and hooked the leg, picking up an unbelievable victory. The Bruiserweight shouted with joy as the ECW faithful erupted in the Hammerstein Ballroom. The official handed him the ECW Television Championship as he was officially declared the first holder of the title in the New Era. Pete Dunne did the unthinkable and conquered The Freak. The future is bright for this young man, and it all begins now. Dean Ambrose wins the Extreme Open Battle Royal to become the number one contender for the ECW World Championship Yeah, that's right. Saying "anything can happen in wrestling" is an understatement, and tonight is proof. Superstars and extremists from across all three brands made their way into the Hammerstein Ballroom to take part in Paul Heyman's Extreme Open Battle Royal, created to find a new challenger for the ECW World Championship after tonight is over. The message was received far and wide as several superstars from both WWE Raw and WCW Nitro arrived to participate. One in particular was Elias, who made his way to the ring while performing a derogatory song about ECW's faithful fans. His disrespect didn't go unnoticed though, as he found himself the first person eliminated from the match as he was sent crashing over the ropes and through a table shortly after the opening bell, courtesy of the entire ring of talent. Not only did superstars from other brands show, but some familiar faces from the past - Sabu and The Sandman! The ECW originals joined the fray to the delight of the hardcore faithful, doing battle with today's competitors. As the body count began to decrease, things became more and more tense. The Family's Killian Dain gave an impressive showing, eliminating both Sandman and Sabu, among others, before being eliminated himself by Kassius Ohno. The final two came down to Rob Van Dam and Tommaso Ciampa, battling it out to determine the next contender. However, what happened next was certainly unexpected. Moments before RVD dumped Ciampa over the ropes, Dean Ambrose emerged. The Lunatic Fringe hopped the guard rail and stood stalking his prey, the ECW crowd in a frenzy. He slid into the ring just seconds before Ciampa's feet hit the arena floor, and while The Whole F'n Show celebrated what he thought was a victory, he was spun around and planted into the canvas with a Dirty Deeds! Ambrose capitalised and sent the former World Champion over and out, apparently claiming the victory for himself. Less than two hours removed from his ECW contract being terminated after losing to Jeff Hardy in a Loser Leaves ECW Match, The Lunatic Fringe takes advantage of Paul Heyman's open invitation and finds an opportunistic loophole, stealing the victory from Rob Van Dam. What does this mean for Dean Ambrose? How will Rob Van Dam react to being robbed of his win? And more importantly, can Ambrose really be the number one contender to the ECW World Championship? Kevin Owens def. Sami Zayn Best friends. Bitter enemies. Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn have been through thick and thin, whether they were side-by-side or face-to-face, but this may be the end of days for their on/off relationship. After Kevin Owens turned his back on his best friend weeks ago, blaming him for the loss of his ECW World Championship and crippling him in the center of the ring in a heinous assault, Zayn has sought revenge, and tonight he gets it. The Underdog from the Underground made his way to the ring and didn't take his eyes off KO, even giving a little smirk, knowing that he was about to get his hands on the man who tried to end his career. Right out of the starting gates, the pair engaged in an all-out brawl that tumbled to the outside and went all around the ringside area. Back-and-forth they battled, up the aisle to the entrance way, tearing into each other like savage animals. Owens must have pre-planned for this, however, as he quickly reached behind the guard rail in the front row and uncovered a Singapore cane! The Prizefighter began beating his former friend repeatedly, bringing up welts almost immediately and gaining complete control of the match. The fight eventually returned to ringside where Owens utilised a steel chair to crack open the skull of his adversary, and continued to target the wound. Zayn was able to fight back eventually, wielding the chair for himself and returning the favour, splitting open Owens and beating him senseless with the steel. Things had become somewhat uncomfortable to watch as Zayn planted Owens head-first into the arena floor with an incredible tornado DDT, diving through the turnbuckles to connect. But it only got worse from there. Those with a weak disposition should have turned away now as Sami Zayn pulled out a table from beneath the ring, and proceeded to set it alight. As chants of "ECW!" filled the Hammerstein Ballroom, Zayn dragged his rival back into the ring where he intended to throw Owens into his barbaric setup. KO had other ideas. Owens must have realised his predicament and quickly fought out of it, instead turning the metaphorical tables and driving his former best friend from the ring apron, through the flaming table with a powerbomb. The impact sounded like an explosion as the ECW faithful chanted "Holy crap!", Zayn writhing in pain as officials rushed to the scene to extinguish the flames. Not allowing medical personnel to tend to Zayn, Owens hopped down and picked up his adversary, rolling him into the ring with the intention of finishing this match. And as if enough damage hadn't already been done, he dropped Sami Zayn onto his head with a sickening Package Piledriver, finally hooking the leg for the three count. Battered and bruised, Kevin Owens had walked out with the victory, despite not looking like a winner at all. But looking even worse for wear was Sami Zayn who had been quickly propped up in the corner by officials who were desperate to tend to his injuries. The match came to a close with Owens looking out into the ECW faithful, eyes wide, crimson mask, blank expression. This man is as sadistic as they come. "The Demon" Finn Bálor def. Johnny Gargano to retain the ECW World Championship; Dean Ambrose strikes and lays out The Demon One way or another, Johnny Gargano had earned himself a shot at the ECW World Championship, an opportunity he felt he deserved more than anyone else. Manipulating his way into the title picture, Johnny Wrestling had his chance, but not without a fight. Finn Bálor decided that now was the perfect time to dig down deep and summon The Demon, bringing the mythical creature to ECW One Night Stand for a battle for the ages. Bálor unleashed his offence early on and showed Gargano exactly what The Demon is capable of, planting him with a brainbuster out of the gate. The challenger was able to regain his composure and fight back against his intimidating foe, hitting some high-impact moves to keep Bálor at bay. But nothing could have stopped the ECW World Champion from soaring through the air, taking the number one contender down with an incredible plancha, to which the hardcore faithful chanted "ECW!". The Demon maintained control of the match for the next few minutes, but Gargano seemed to pull some energy from deep down, springing over the ropes himself and delivering a devastating apron DDT, planting Bálor on the top of his head. With the match now in his favour, Johnny continues to stay in control and took his adversary up to the top rope, clearly planning something high-risk. And he didn't disappoint, as both men came crashing to the arena floor with an unbelievable superplex, right from the top down to the thin matting below. "Holy crap!" chanted the crowd as both men lay motionless on the floor. Eventually, Gargano was able to capitalise on the situation, rolling Bálor back into the ring and hooking the leg, but The Demon would not stay down. Frustrated, Gargano lifted Bálor back to his feet, only to be on the receiving end of a surge of momentum, getting taken down by a Slingblade and then all in one fell swoop, Bálor sprung to the top rope for a Coup de Grace. Somehow, Gargano was able to avoid the stomp and instead dragged his opponent to the canvas, applying the Gargano Escape! At first, it seemed like Bálor had nowhere to go and it was looking more and more like we were going to see a new ECW World Champion. But we should know by now - never count The Demon out. He broke the hold and regained his strength, appearing to go through an inhuman resurrection, battling back and even pulling out the 1916, planting Gargano on the back of his head. And just moments later, he returned to the skies, this time connecting with the signature Coup de Grace and hooking the leg for the decisive victory. An incredible showing from both men, and proof that Johnny Gargano does indeed deserve to be in the main event conversation, but when it's all said and done, The Demon reigns supreme and is still the ECW World Champion. But the night wasn't over just yet... in a shocking turn of events, Dean Ambrose emerged for the third time tonight and ambushed Finn Bálor from behind! The new number one contender who had already defied the odds earlier in the night, arrived to send a message to the ECW World Champion, planting The Demon on his skull with a Dirty Deeds. The Lunatic Fringe snatched the ECW World Championship from the hands of the official and put it over his own shoulder as the ECW faithful filled the arena with boos. Ambrose stood over the fallen Bálor, making a very clear statement - Dean Ambrose is coming for the gold, and nobody can stop him.

Mr. McMahon makes a shocking return to restore order on WWE Raw There has been plenty of controversy surrounding WWE Raw these last few weeks, partly due to the ongoing power struggle between Stone Cold Steve Austin and Triple H. Well, it hasn't gone unnoticed. The WWE Universe were shocked when tonight's episode opened with the familiar sound of Mr. McMahon's entrance theme. The Chairman of the Board made his way out into the arena with a scowl on his face, clearly here for serious business. Mr. McMahon demanded that his music be cut, and immediately began addressing the entire WWE Universe, declaring that the last few weeks have led to the WWE brand becoming an embarrassment. "Lack of control, bias decisions, a complete disregard for the brand's well-being" he bellowed, furious at what has been going on these last few weeks. The Chairman declared that things are going to change and it starts tonight! He revealed that while he would not be overturning decisions already made, he would be overseeing everything else going forward, and ensuring that the build up to WWE No Mercy is the best that it can be. Referencing the No Mercy main event, McMahon stated that it would indeed be a Triple Threat bout between Daniel Bryan, Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns for the WWE World Championship, and that tonight we would see Brock Lesnar in action for the first time on WWE Raw in the main event. Mr. McMahon has arrived and made a clear statement - he is not about to let WWE Raw descend into chaos. What will Triple H and Stone Cold Steve Austin have to say about the Chairman's unexpected arrival? Tyler Bate & John Cena def. Intercontinental Champion The Miz & Baron Corbin Announced last week, this tag team bout opened up tonight's blockbuster episode of WWE Raw, courtesy of Mr. McMahon. And what a way it was to kick things off. The two teams collided as two rivalries crossed paths and while The Miz did his best to avoid getting into contact with Tyler Bate, John Cena and Baron Corbin had no issues getting it on. The two hard-hitters brawled during the contest until Cena was able to send The Lone Wolf over the ropes and out of the picture as The Miz found himself alone with his recent rival. Bate attempted to deliver his Tyler Driver, only for Miz to slip out and attempt his own signature move, the Skull-Crushing Finale. The young British superstar had the wherewithal to escape and rolled The A-Lister into a sunset flip predicament, securing a shock three count and picking up the victory. John Cena and Tyler Bate left up the aisle in celebration as The Miz looked on in disbelief. Baron Corbin wasn't too happy about the loss either, totally blanking the Intercontinental Champion as he stormed away from ringside. Triple H tries to reason with Mr. McMahon to no avail After Mr. McMahon shocking arrival at the start of the night, Triple H sought out the Chairman to get some answers. Barging into McMahon's office, The Game questioned his father-in-law, asking what was going on. Of course, family or not, nobody barges in on the boss, and he made sure that Triple H knew that. He then went on to explain that he created WWE Raw, and he won't see it run into the ground because of a "conflict of interest" between him and Stone Cold Steve Austin. The Chairman made it clear that he was here to call the shots and get the brand back on track, without the input of The Game. This didn't sit well with Triple H, who reminded Mr. McMahon that he too had plenty of pull within the company, but Vince simply responded by reminding Triple H of one small detail - "I'm the boss, damnit". Apollo Crews def. "Glorious" Robert Roode This wasn't quite as "glorious" as Robert Roode had probably hoped. Despite weeks of success previously, The Glorious One hit a bump in the road, and that bump had a name - Apollo Crews. The high-flying competitor went up against the new-and-improved competitor as WWE Raw continued, and once again, Roode looked to utilise underhanded tactics to gain an unfair advantage. However, this time it didn't quite go to plan. The former Intercontinental Champion removed one of the turnbuckle pads while the official was distracted, and attempted to use it against his opponent, but when Crews was able to avoid a snake eyes and instead shove Roode sternum-first into the steel, he then connected with an impressive Frog Splash to pick up the victory and hand Roode his first loss in weeks. The impressive athlete celebrated as The Glorious One gripped his chest in pain, demanding that the referee call for a disqualification, but there was no debate, Crews had won this one. Ronda Rousey def. Sasha Banks, Bayley, Nia Jax & Paige in a Fatal 5-Way Match to become the number one contender for the Women's World Championship The Man refuses to let go of the Women's World Championship, having defended it across all three brands successfully over the last few months. Her next challenge will come from home as her contender was to be determined in a huge Fatal 5-Way bout featuring five of WWE Raw's top female superstars - all of which are former Women's Champions. With the opportunity on the line, none of these women wanted to let it pass them, and they each put everything they had into walking out with the victory. Nia Jax dominated a large amount of the match, but when her four adversaries put their heads together and united against The Irresistible Force, they were able to remove her from the equation. After Paige took a tumble to the outside courtesy of a Bayley-to-Belly, and Sasha Banks showed it was indeed every woman for themselves when she sent Bayley crashing through the ropes with a dropkick, it was left to Ronda Rousey to pick up the pieces. The Rowdy One isolated The Boss and locked her into her signature armbar, forcing her into submission and securing her place as number one contender. The former UFC Champion had been showing her "support" for The Man in recent weeks as she prepared to go up against ECW's Shayna Baszler, but now she finds herself in the challenger's position, and something tells us that she won't be quite as supportive. Stone Cold Steve Austin confronts Mr. McMahon in a nostalgic face-to-face meeting Unless you've been living under a rock for the past two decades, you'll know all about the history between Mr. McMahon and Stone Cold Steve Austin. And another moment in their story came tonight as the two came face-to-face backstage. After a moment of spine-chilling silence, McMahon decided to cut the tension and ask what Austin wanted. The Texas Rattlesnake explained that he had heard what McMahon had to say earlier in the night, and he understood, but what he didn't appreciate was being put in the back seat without any warning. As the Chairman began to explain his actions, Austin interrupted him and told him that he knew how this could be settled, and he knows that McMahon knows the same. The Hall of Famer touched noses with his long-time rival and simply told him "You gotta do, what you gotta do. But you better do it right". The General Manager of WWE Raw then left as McMahon took a large gulp and readjusted his tie. What does Austin mean by that? Braun Strowman def. Curt Hawkins, Gentleman Jack Gallagher & Heath Slater in a 3-on-1 Handicap Match; The Big Red Monster returns to confront Strowman Last week, he asked for more competition after laying waste to Breezango in a 2-on-1 Handicap Match. This week, he got more competition, he got three opponents instead of two! The Monster Among Men did exactly the same this week, destroying his adversaries and putting them away, throwing Gallagher and Slater to the outside before driving Hawkins into the canvas with a running powerslam for the victory. Just as he had previously, he grabbed a microphone and demanded further competition, claiming that it doesn't matter whether he has one, two, three or ten different opponents, if they aren't worth his time, he isn't interested. Suddenly, a fiery explosion sent shockwaves through the arena as the lights went out. The WWE Universe erupted and the lights returned to see a returning Kane standing face-to-face with the big man. The Monster Among Men stood his ground and the two giants glared at each other. It seems that Kane has answered Strowman's demands for competition, and there's no bigger competition than The Big Red Monster. Braun slowly walked around The Devil's Favourite Demon and left the ring, not taking his eyes off Kane at any point. Will these two behemoths collide in the near future? The Revival attack Breezango before their scheduled match; Mr. McMahon announces Tag Team Turmoil Match for the WWE Tag Team Championships at No Mercy The Revival might have just gone one step too far for Mr. McMahon's liking. The WWE Tag Team Champions once again caused chaos on Raw as they assaulted Tyler Breeze and Fandango before their scheduled tag team bout, rendering the match invalid. But rather than being allowed to enjoy the moment as they had in previous weeks, Dash and Dawson found themselves on the receiving end of a McMahon-sized tirade. The Chairman emerged on the stage to the horror of The Revival, and explained that while Triple H and Stone Cold Steve Austin had been too busy with each other to notice what had been going on in the tag team division, he has not. McMahon declared that The Revival's actions would have consequences, and as a result, they will defend their titles at WWE No Mercy against five other teams in a Tag Team Turmoil Match! Dash Wilder and Scott Dawson were left speechless as Mr. McMahon laid down the law, revealing that Breezango would get their shot, along with Heavy Machinery, The Street Profits, The Usos and The New Day. "Good luck, fellas" remarked the Chairman before leaving as the WWE Universe roared. You know what they say about karma, boys? Bobby Lashley def. Titus O'Neil The All Mighty has been very vocal as of late about being better than the Hall of Famer, Kurt Angle. And after The Olympic Hero took Chad Gable under his wing, he too became embroiled in this ongoing feud. Bobby Lashley took to the ring this week, looking to outdo Angle and his new protege, defeating Titus O'Neil with a thunderous Spear. Moments after the match, Lashley stood alongside his adviser, Lio Rush and the self-proclaimed "Man of the Hour" spoke on behalf of his client, laying out an official challenge to The Olympic Hero, for a one-on-one match at WWE No Mercy. Rush claimed that Bobby Lashley would prove to the world that he is more of an athlete than Kurt Angle ever has been, and vows to make the legacy of Kurt Angle pale in comparison to his own. "All hail The All Mighty, Bobby Lashley!" he bellowed to boos from the WWE Universe. Will Angle accept the challenge? Women's World Champion Becky Lynch def. Alexa Bliss Just 24 hours after her brutal title defence against Shayna Baszler at ECW One Night Stand, The Man brushed herself off and arrived on WWE Raw to continue to be the fighting Champion she promised to be. Lynch went into action against Alexa Bliss in singles action, with the thought of her next title defence against Ronda Rousey at WWE No Mercy on her mind after Rousey picked up a huge win earlier in the night. The Women's World Champion was able to defeat Little Miss Bliss with her signature Dis-Arm-Her, forcing her opponent to submit. Moments after the closing bell, the number one contender came to the ring and at first began to congratulate Becky Lynch, raising her hand and seemingly continuing her support of The Man that she had shown in recent weeks. But when Becky least expected it, Rousey struck, beating her down to the mat and wrenching away at her arm in a vicious attack. The Rowdy One refused to let go until another official arrived on the scene to break the hold. It seems that Ronda Rousey's support for Becky Lynch may have been just a tad exaggerated. Who knew? Stone Cold Steve Austin and Triple H to face off at WWE No Mercy after Mr. McMahon's colossal announcement The whole night has been rocked by Mr. McMahon's presence, leaving no stone unturned. The Chairman has changed the entire landscape of WWE Raw in a single night, but perhaps nothing will top what happened here tonight as he entered the arena for the final time and stood before the WWE Universe, surprisingly requesting the presence of both Stone Cold Steve Austin and Triple H. The Game and The Texas Rattlesnake made their way to the ring and in a scene that almost looked like it had been plucked straight out of the Attitude Era, all three men stood in the ring together. Mr. McMahon explained that having seen the true chaos that had been allowed to spread across WWE Raw, he sees that the only way order can be restored is if one single individual is in control of the brand. Would he choose his long-time arch-nemesis Stone Cold Steve Austin? Or would he pick his son-in-law, Triple H? The answer - neither. Instead, the boss laid out an earth-shattering announcement that the true figurehead of WWE Raw would be decided the only way that we know how - in the ring. At WWE No Mercy, Stone Cold Steve Austin and Triple H will lace up their boots one last time to fight for control of the red brand. The WWE Universe exploded with the announcement as Austin and Triple H came face-to-face, realising that they must do battle for the last time in the name of power. The former Power Trip collide at WWE No Mercy for the first time in over a decade. Which of these iconic competitors will reign supreme and take charge of WWE Raw? Brock Lesnar def. Shelton Benjamin; Roman Reigns and Daniel Bryan get a piece of The Beast Since emerging on WWE Raw, Brock Lesnar has not competed in an official match until tonight. Thanks to Mr. McMahon and his whirlwind appearance on tonight's episode, The Beast was forced to compete in the main event just two weeks before he competes for the WWE World Championship along with Daniel Bryan and Roman Reigns. Stepping up to the challenge, Brock Lesnar's old college buddy, Shelton Benjamin went head-to-head with the destructive competitor, looking to capitalise on Lesnar's success to revive his own. However, he proved to be no match for an extremely focused Lesnar who dismantled the former Intercontinental Champion and after a series of German suplexes that had the crowd chanting "Suplex City!", he finished off his adversary with an F-5. But as he stood tall over his fallen foe, he was struck out of nowhere by two men who have a bone to pick with The Beast. A thunderous Spear by The Big Dog took Lesnar down to the canvas, the WWE Universe erupting into cheers. But Lesnar's plight wasn't over yet as the WWE World Champion emerged and flew from the top rope with a diving headbutt, followed by the LeBelle Lock! After giving Lesnar some pain, Bryan released the hold allowing him to retreat up the aisle. In an unlikely scenario, Reigns and Bryan stood side-by-side as The Beast quickly scurried up the ramp in a fit of rage. Now he had been taken down a peg and it seemed that the playing field had been levelled. Each man on equal terms. But who will leave No Mercy in two weeks as the WWE World Champion?
