Finally found Braun and Iron Sheik at TJ Maxx. 4.99 each. Really wish this line didn't have so many problems. Here's hoping it doesn't go away completely. I feel like this would be better as an online exclusive line with a price closer to a retail market so the figures would go straight to who wants them. I understand that's not the perfect solution and that's there's likely a reason they haven't done that, but I'm just trouble shooting. I actually wish there was some way to just make them exclusives to a place like Five Below where they end up anyway. lol Not to mention they'd probably be stocked a lot better. Part of the fun for me is going out and finding them in stores like I did when I was a kid, and getting them at pretty much the same price too would be awesome. Would be awesome if RSC would do at least 1 or 2 exclusives. They know they would sell, so I don't see why they wouldnt. Especially if they made it one that everyone has been wanting for awhile now.

I don't know if it's Mattel or the stores at fault, I'm sure both. It's not just the retro line either, when I look at the 2 Target stores near me, it seems like once they get new stock, they sell a few of the wanted figures and then are left with more of the same for weeks on end. They need to stop putting AJ in so many damn sets, he's all I see at most places, along with usually a couple of KO and maybe a Cena. Despite what Mattel wants to say, I think the top picks lines are highly unnecessary. The "top" guys have had so many damn figures, there's just no demand for more of the same few guys.

Back when series 1 made it over here to the UK, I must admit I wasn’t expecting the feeling I had when I walked into the toy store and saw those figures on those cards hanging on the pegs just like the old days (different shop admittedly, but meh ) - I was already very excited by the line and had seen all the images online, but just walking-in and seeing them hanging there for me to buy... Awesome moment for me. On the general distribution point, I was surprised during my recent holiday to the US to see how full the other sections of the toy aisles seemed to be at both the Targets and Walmarts I was able to visit. Admittedly I wasn’t paying much attention to other areas, but I don’t remember seeing the Disney/Toy Story 4 section or the Barbie section or the Star Wars area being as bare as all the WWE sections seemed to be. Is that generally what you guys in the US see in the toy aisles? Are the different toy sections better stocked than the WWE areas, or are they all pretty much the same?

Amazon sucks. My green trunks Macho Man retro was supposed to arrive today. But as always the case with Amazon and my orders I received an email today saying there’s a delay. And to approve that I still want the item. So I look at my order it says...”WWE Macho Man Randy Savage Retro App Figure” $9.93 so I click on it to approve but when I did it sent me to a “WWE Cesaro Retro App Figure.” So I couldn’t approve my order, because that is not what I ordered. Then I go and search for it again and find it but it was $12 from a Third party seller and now $13.99 from Amazon if/when it comes back in stock at Amazon. So I bought it again for $13.01 after tax and free shipping from the third party seller. And it already shipped.

Found series 4 at Target today. Dam sure wasn't expecting that. No Flair, but still nice to see them there. They also had a ton of Elite 63.

At least from what I remember in the Hasbro and Jakks era, I don't remember walking into TRU, KB, etc and seeing anything but fully stocked pegs most of the time. Wether it be new stock or just old pegwarmers. At any rate you would never see empty or half empty WWF sections like you do today. I don't get why the WWE section doesn't get restocked until they're down to just a few pieces or none at all. If you have X number of pegs, why aren't they kept full?

I found Series 8 at two of my local TJ Maxx stores. Found a Braun, Hardy, and two Sheiks at the first one. All four were in pretty mangled but I bought them anyway. I was bummed there was no Ryder but checked another location the next day and luckily they had two Ryders, a Sheik, and a Braun. All these were in much better shape. So now I just need to find a Hardy in good condition and hopefully use the others as trade bait. I'm still missing Series 5, 6, 9, and 10.
This continues my streak of not paying retail price for any since I found Undertaker and Ultimate Warrior. Every other figure has been found at a discount store, eBay, or Walmart clearance. I'm hopeful I can find Series 9 & 10 eventually as they hit Targets or discount stores. Series 5 & 6 might be a little tougher to get at a discount.

Thanks; I had the impression that the distribution issues were down to Walmart and Target not putting-out sufficient stock, but if their other sections are better maintained in terms of stock then we can’t really blame the stores. That said, the latest Elite figures seem to have been stocked fine from what I’ve seen on social media, but that’s not really representative I suppose. Surely it can’t have just been a problem with the Retros alone?

So I finally got around to opening/looking at my series 10. Overall I’m happy! Obviously the most important to me was Diesel, and I’m very pleased with it. When I first saw the proto images I was a little disappointed, not sure why - maybe because the hasbro drawings had been discovered or something. Don’t know. Anyway, it seemed like the head was too big from other people’s pics & comments; but I think it’s ok. Maybe a little big, but I think it fits ok & I really like the figure. Can’t help think Elias’ arms look a bit short or small of something, but cool to have a different action with the guitar smash. JYD is cool, I had just hoped we’d get a thicker torso that could be used on customs for thicker set guys. Hardy is a pretty good likeness to be fair, but will likely be used for a custom.

I don’t even think there was a retro Cesaro.

The link for my Macho said it was a retro Cesaro not Macho Man. I don’t even think there was a retro Cesaro. I think the rumor was Cesaro was originally planned to pair with Sheamus but they pulled him at the last minute for an 80s Macho. Amazon screwed around with my retro orders so much that when Series 9 popped up with a 3rd party on Amazon that i've had some luck with, I switched over. Ended up being a little cheaper until Amazon dropped the price some more but I already have them. Got all of Series 9 from this seller. I got my Elias and Matt Hardy from Amazon directly weeks ago but they still have waiting on Diesel and JYD, so I am just waiting for those to get cancelled on me. My Series 8 still has Zack Ryder and Iron Sheik pending though they cancelled my Jeff Hardy and Braun a long time back. Don't expect those either and for some reason, they never price adjusted Ryder for me when he temporarily went down to $9.99. Hoping I can find them and Braun in a TJ Maxx or Marshall's first. I had actually got Jeff off Target.com before they started surfacing at those retail outlets.

Just curious here, but I hear how people are constantly having issues with ordering figs from Amazon- canceling orders for no reason, delaying, etc. Why not just order from RSC? That's where I get all of mine and they ship pretty fast. Just wondering what I'm missing here...

For real though, I try to shop exclusively online at RSC.

I get the stuff I think looks cool but in my year back in collecting, there have been very few "must haves" for me. I also collect too many different things where I have a hard time paying a markup for any one specific thing because my focuses are so scattered. RSC is great if you want to be first to get them and pay a premium to do so but none of it is that serious to me. I know prices and availablility have fluctuated now but I think a Retro wave of 4 when these were on pre-order was probably around $55 plus shipping, which for me looked to be about $12. So that is $67 to guarantee four figures versus Amazon with my prime getting them for $10 a piece. If all four ship, I save $27. Looking at Series 10, two of my four arrived. So should Diesel and JYD not come, if I get two for under $47, I save, which is fine because I am not in much of a rush personally.

There’s no amount that makes shipping free for overseas in rsc either when amazon is essentially 2 figures with prime.

Nice find! Found a Sheik today, myself at TJ Maxx. Found a Hardy, too but thats it. No Braun or Ryder. Might hit up another TJ Maxx tomorrow to see what I can find. It always feels good to find an Iron Sheik.
