Sad that this line went more the discounter/bargain retailer route than mainstream. $9.99 from the start with the major chains carrying them and they would have done better. Yes, there were other issues, but that would have helped.

Nice find! Found a Sheik today, myself at TJ Maxx. Found a Hardy, too but thats it. No Braun or Ryder. Might hit up another TJ Maxx tomorrow to see what I can find. It always feels good to find an Iron Sheik. Best of luck finding them! I was hoping to Find two of Hardy. One to use as Jeff and one to customize into an announcer. |

Nice find! Found a Sheik today, myself at TJ Maxx. Found a Hardy, too but thats it. No Braun or Ryder. Might hit up another TJ Maxx tomorrow to see what I can find. Series 9? Thats my all time favorite retro figure. The one in the green trunks. No clue to what Series that is. Thats the one. Best retro figure Mattel ever made, in my opinion. |

Series 9 Macho is one of the coolest "Hasbros" we never got, but one of the worst head paint jobs in the line. Skull cap and glasses look like they were painted by a 5 year old, which hopefully they were not.

Color and paint looks bad, too bright of a yellow. Plus the short booty boots. I don't think they're as bad on Goldust or any guy with long tights since they blend in and don't stick out like a sore thumb. These really needed a different mold for the feet same with Flair and if there's anyone else I'm thinking of that got the Austin boots treatment. |

I went to 3 TJ Maxx stores today and struck out with Retros. Not a single one at any store. Last week at Marshalls I only saw a Ryder and Sheik left on the pegs. My one Target on my trip yesterday had a few pegs full of all of Series 8 for the full price that I of course wound up paying a little while ago right before they hit the discount stores. lol I saw on some Twitter posts that Series 9 is hitting the Toys R Us in Canada. I'm just waiting, hoping they hit around here soon. |

Just checked the Marshall's a few block away from my house, and scored Ryder, J.Hardy & the Iron Sheik. Left behind one each of Hardy & Ryder.

Does anyone think series 9 and 10 will show up in TJ Maxx/Marshalls/Big Lots ever? Considering they never hit retail, they have to go somewhere, right?

So I received Jeff Hardy as a gift from my amazing Sibling who picked it up at a TJ Maxx. I have... Some concerns. Why is his head so big? And why is this body so tall? I feel like he should be the same height as the jumpers since he's supposed to be a smaller guy. I understand that the Retro line isn't meant to have perfect scale, but I feel like I have a figure designed by someone who looked at Jeff Hardy and thought "Let's make this look like a bad parody of the Undertaker with the angry face scan, purple and black combo and give him a giant head so he's the noticeably taller than most of the other retros. I have Strowman, Kane, and several others and Jeff is tied for second tallest. I feel like that's a bit odd.

I have been tempted to go and find more Retros in the wild but at the same time, I have no use for most of them (there aren’t many I am interested in fixing up or customizing).

That's an awesome accomplishment, though. I still need 6 Retros to complete my entire collection. It's not easy. Still have yet to get any Hasbros, but I definitely plan on it. I only collect MOC so it will take me quite awhile to complete, but I certainly intend to eventually. It's fun, to say the least. |

I started getting desperate and buying the “Orange card series” (Diesel/USA Luger/Jarrett/Mabel/Mo/Booger/Doink #2) made by Custom Boss or whatever his name is. And R&B Valentine. And Mega Maniacs Brutus. And Black trunks Warrior. And General Adnan. And Evil Slaughter. And Col. Mustafa. And Hart Foundation Jim. And red paint Demolition Crush. And Bodyguard Virgil. And Custom Pose Million Dollar Man. And custom painted Hogan. And all the Simbas. And Santa Clause. And I also have every carded version of Hasbro Andre (that I know of).
Let’s not talk about Galoobs, the Japanese collection, or the belt collection. My wallet took a major hit but my shelves are overflowing. That money could have belonged to Mattel.

With the Hasbro's, mailaway Hogan was one that I bought 2 years ago. I have the general set, but am not interested in dropping $5k to have mailaway Hart and Taker. |
