Discounters got series 4 & 5 at Christmas. Now we know that Mattel shipped the majority of series 6 overseas, besides some that Kmarts rec'd. 7 & 8 warmed select Walmart/Targets. Wonder where 9 & 10 will wind up ?

My favorite of the discount places...the most organized and good with stocking and the people working the ones in my area at least attempt to be polite and friendly. lol

This time last year is when I started my retro collection when I found them there. I bought most of them from RSC, but I have a few holes to fill. I feel like if it's going to happen, it probably will within the next month for the Christmas season.

Nothing here for 3 months and all of a sudden a bunch of S8 start filling the pegs over the past 2 weeks.

At least your Target is getting something. The 3 stores within an hour drive have had 0,1 and 2 pieces for the last few weeks.

I remember hearing on the Major WF Pod that 9 & 10 will not show up at Walmart, but I don't remember if they mentioned Target.

I’m trying hard to resist the temptation get back into making customs with these now.
I haven’t made any customs since I was in my early teens buying Hasbros at markets and changing them to play with with my young cousins, but with series 3 still being in plentiful supply at Home Bargains then my mind is now racing with ideas of who I could make, or combine with the Hasbro parts I’ve had for like 20 years in boxes. The AJ figure has so many possibilities, the Ambrose as well, and the jumpers I can probably use with someone, and maybe I can get some others online reasonably priced - argh, I really shouldn’t go down this road...

Yes...you should go down this route! This is part of what I love about these retros. I’ve had so much fun thinking, planning, starting (but not finishing yet!) customs. And it’s made me have a go with hasbros too, which I’m finding a bit more difficult. Do it! And share!

The AJ/Jericho/Broski mold if my absolute favorite. Ideal for anyone that wore kickpads like Sting and HBK. Ambrose is an easy Issac Yankem conversion if you get a hold of the elite for the head and smock.

And it’s made me have a go with hasbros too, which I’m finding a bit more difficult. Do it! And share! That’s my problem exactly - now that I've started thinking about who I could make, I can hardly think of anything else I’m really in no position to start making customs now - I haven’t got space to display my real collection, or the peace to start making customs, but I really want to anyway. My paints and tools are stored away somewhere (likely with my loose Hasbro collection; as I say: no space to display my figures) so I’d want to assess what state those things are in before I would get started with new customs, and I’d need to go through my Hasbro customs to see what I have there to work with; lots of practical reasons not to get back into making customs, but still I’m thinking about it. And then on Thursday I went ahead and bought a load of series 3 figures at one of the Home Bargains stores near me I left two behind (Rollins and a Goldberg) as I’m tempted to go back next week and see if they are STILL getting fresh series 3 stock from somewhere, and also there’s another store close to me that had some more when I visited there last week buying Ultimate Editions - this is going to be a problem The Retros brought me back to my childhood collecting Hasbros, so I guess moving-on to making customs would move me into my early-teens - that’s progress I guess I’m trying hard to resist the temptation get back into making customs with these now. Ambrose is an easy Issac Yankem conversion if you get a hold of the elite for the head and smock. Looking through the customs forum here it seems things have moved on quite a bit from when I was making customs. Using heads from Basics and Elites produce excellent results from what I’ve seen, and now of course 3D printers exist giving potentially a new dimension to the whole things. I never worked with decals back then but the results seem fantastic (if I can get sufficiently decent quality images from the New Generation era - I might need to dig-out my old WWF magazines for help with that) - so there are new areas to explore anyway. I’ve never been particularly artistic, and I won’t pretend that my customs were in anyway ‘good’, but I did enjoy doing them and I did get better with practice and as I got older (I remember being particularly happy with my last pieces: Tazz and The Dudley Boyz), which is motivation enough. Decals could make all the difference, maybe even going back to improve by Hasbro customs. Now that I’ve started then I’ll continue to grab Retros while I can anyway - only series 3 is available on the UK high street now as far as I know so not a great variety of actions to work with, but AJ certainly is the main one.

Series 3 and 9 are being sold here in Montreal Canada, only in Toys R Us stores.
Walmarts over here aren't carrying any retros, and their overall selection of wrestling figs is pretty weak compared to TRU .

Walmarts over here aren't carrying any retros, and their overall selection of wrestling figs is pretty weak compared to TRU . How do you think series 9 is doing over there? Are they just sitting on the pegs, or does there appear to be some turn-over of stock? Canada seems like the only place that’ll ever get them on pegs given the way things are; maybe there’s hope for series 10 soon. Today I cleared-out my nearest Home Bargains of series 3 Retros - they had six left: two Ambrose, two Goldberg, one Rollins and one AJ; I’ll check back next week and see if they get even more in, but from here I think I’m basically just going to pick-up AJs for potential future customs. I don’t think there are any others in the wild in the UK - my local The Entertainer never had any Retros that I saw, but there is one not too far away which I suppose might have some series 1 or 2 guys left, but it’s a long-shot after all this time - unless anyone else in the UK knows of any branches of The Entertainer still stocking Retros anywhere? I saw on Twitter last night that Walmart.com had started selling series 8. The Tweet I saw had a screen grab of the Sheik sales page, but I just checked and only found a listing for Braun sold by Walmart.com; maybe I’m not seeing the full picture from over here, or have they sold-out of the others since yesterday?

Series 8 is up and looks like all 4 on walmart.com All sold by Walmart. Maybe they sold out quick yesterday and had to put up more stock? Usually when sought after figs go on a retailers website they sell out pretty fast. Just don't undertand then why they don't just offer them all online and make them available if they can't bother to stock anything in the brick and mortar stores.

I’m getting similar results on there now; very different from last time I checked yesterday. I’m with you about not understanding Walmart’s approach to the online offering of this line, but then that is entirely fitting with how they’ve decided to approach the whole line from the start. Really is frustrating that we as fans of Mattel’s product are so reliant on the indecipherable whims of Target and Walmart.

Im not sure tbh .. it did seem like there were less series 9 figures on the shelves compared to two months ago , so they probably sold a few but didnt re-stock ...
