I literally had half my RP typed up last night and then when I got back to it wfigs refreshed lol. Don't compose your stuff in the browser. It never ends well. Can vouche for this. Did this once because I was stupid. Lost whole RP twice before I decided to just say screw it and used phone. Everyone talks highly of laptops or computers. I'll try it out this next one.

I composed most of my peak Brennan run on my phone. It can be done. Always wanted to ask you about that. Do you use the Office app? Or just whatever brand notepad? Because I can't imagine doing either, but at least the Office app allows for more grammar and spell checks you might inadvertently miss typing a mile a minute.

For me, iPhone user, I use the notepad that comes with it. Sometimes it's a bitch, but I like it.

Nope, writing for SuperBrawl on my phone sucked. I'm much more comfortable writing on a laptop and/or computer. theicwguy I highly recommend you invest in a computer. Trust me, it'll make writing easier and less annoying than writing on your phone.

Trust me, it'll make writing easier and less annoying than writing on your phone. Bingo, at least to me. Even if you get a second hand laptop from a Goodwill or something if you don't want to make a huge financial investment if you're not going to use the computer for anything but WF/WFWF and YouTube, you'll thank yourself later. But I get where DK is coming from. I don't know everyone's ages on here, but I know DK aged himself by saying that he barely had typing classes in school so the phone is easier. I can't speak for the guys who I KNOW are older than me like Kyzer, CM Poor, or Drakz, but I had like...three years worth of computer classes in elementary school. And one of those years was wholly dedicated to learning to type, with the "final" being able to type out a page given to us on paper with the keyboard covered with a black plastic...thing so we couldn't see the keys. Once I get the feel for a new keyboard, I never have to look at the keys again. It took me a bit to get used to my current laptop because the numerical pad also doubles as a stream deck because, well, streaming games on Twitch is my pocket money income. But otherwise, that's the gist.

Kudos to those that write some amazing stuff on mobile but not me. I love how everyone in the fed all have their preferred method to writing but yeah, no. I use Word on my phone and it's a nightmare. I text using the Swype method so auto correct makes things more frustrating than they should be.

I was in elementary in the 90s so computers were things that were getting more prominent but they weren't household items in EVERY home until I was in middle school in the early 2000s so I guess we didn't require as much "training" whereas you guys got to learn how to use (I'm assuming) the whole Office setup beyond just Word, like Excel and PowerPoint...things I had to teach myself. I'm still shyte with Excel formulas. I had an internship in college as a metadata entry person helping with the college's archives and the first couple of weeks were hell learning how to properly organize cells and crap to make it look like a proper spreadsheet.

We never had typing classes or anything like that. My IT lessons consisted of us not doing databases and instead playing flash games online.
I however type pretty damn fast and mostly without looking.

And it's hilarious, because I never used the college library other than the occasional intersystem loan if I needed to do research and didn't have the info I needed on the article databases. Meanwhile my partner in crime Thunder lived at that place (I think everyone knows by now I was his junior at the same university) his final year BY CHOICE. I'll always question his sanity.

Gimme a computer/word processor please.

It's okay, I can't use Excel either yet that's where I would write the results of my own fed xD Funny since one of my goals in life is to work as an IT technician and cybersecurity.

I know during that time, Home Economics/Secretarial classes were sexist and mostly intended for girls, but even men would have to know how to type, especially if they were going to go into journalism or some kind of law profession that required formal hard copies of everything.

Tech is the business to be in right now. It's a booming industry that even startups need workers for. Ace Bennett is killing it down in Florida with some sort of IT degree, forget what exactly, but still. Dude's gotten to travel the country a bit for work as he's been transfered, but it's been pretty steady pay wise from what we've talked about. Mind you the tech bubble is bound to burst sooner or later, but I don't think there will ever be a time we won't need IT people, even if the programming/processing industry takes a nosedive.

Catches spelling errors just fine, and I never worried about grammatical issues because Brennan was a host unto himself, and I'm perfect. As for typing...I've used computers almost all my life. My dad came up in IC layout, so we've always had one in the house. I'm the second youngest person in my department, and everyone bitches about how fast I type/compute. I'm not a home key typist, but I rarely glance at the keyboard.

Hey, it’s a setting with no distractions when you’re on a deadline and procrastinated your time away. Not that I’d know anything about that.

Speaking of, when are your bosses getting off their behinds and looking at my bloody application? They work slower than you.
