I wouldnt soak the figure, as it would eat away at the plastic. Just take a Q-tip, lightly dip it and rub off whatever you are looking to remove.

I wouldnt soak the figure, as it would eat away at the plastic. Just take a Q-tip, lightly dip it and rub off whatever you are looking to remove. This, and also make sure you use fresh q-tips after every other stroke. You don't want th q-tip to melt onto the figure and leave brush hairs on the plastic. Wet the q-tip, remove 2-5 strokes of the paint, then throw the q-tip away and use a new one.

I feel like this is both pedantic AND important to point out:
In-between swiping at the plastic with acetone, RINSE OFF THE EXCESS.
So remove some paint, rinse the area, swipe some more, rinse the area, etc. If you swipe at it with acetone and just leave it on the figure, it's still destroying the plastic. At worst it'll leave white marks or make the plastic tacky. You might even accidentally dribble excess acetone onto other painted surfaces you don't want to damage.

Just a little recommendation. I use Goof Off instead of straight acetone.
