I bet he got expelled for that. Whatever happened to WWE airing disclaimers Don't Try This At Home? They should really add school in there. There was a time they did that and showed kids playing in a playground. And they mainly showed this warning on DVDs as the only video you couldn’t skip before getting to the main menu. It would occasionally be shown on TV, but it was never a regular thing. I can’t recall seeing it in a long time and I stopped buying their DVDs after the network launched so I wouldn’t know if it’s still on there, but I would imagine it would be.

There's this rule in civil society: keep your hands to yourself. Anyone defending this punk ass student is a moron. Would you have ever reach up to grab your PRINCIPAL'S neck with both hands? He's plenty old enough to know that's way inappropriate. he’s literally just being a dumb kid. reprimand him? yeah sure. throw him in a headlock, sucker punch him, bring large scale national media attention against him, and charge him with assault? absolutely uncalled for. principal is all the bad things he’s being called in this thread. where’s the kids parents to defend him?... ... surprise surprise, some impoverished kid acting out for attention gets completely ed by the exact people that should be trying to be a positive force and benefit him. gross.

I have to disagree here. I think the principal's response was reasonable here. I'd like to see how you would have reacted if someone tried that to you. Your self defense system would override everything and you'd control the situation any way you could. Stop acting like this high schooler is a 5 year old. He's old enough to know plenty better. Or are you telling me there are thousands of other high schoolers out there doing this crap to their other principals?

Or are you telling me there are thousands of other high schoolers out there doing this crap to their other principals? when I was in high school I was at a party one weekend. I’d been drinking so I needed a ride home, and living in a rural area taxis/the bus wasn’t an option. so a buddy offered to give me a ride, and I took it. I didn’t know that my buddy and other friend were planning to ‘go mailboxing’ on the way home - smashing mailboxes off their stands as we went by houses. I’d done my share of stupid behaviour, but this was not something I wanted to entertain. Still, this was the reality of my situation, and unless I wanted to get out of the car and walk the 30+ kilometres home, wasn’t going to be happening. Long story kind of short, while they were doing the acts my friend was stupid enough to have a window down in his car which was blowing out resumes he’d printed looking for a job - leaving a paper trail of his name and home address. next morning, the driver’s parents are getting calls from outraged people. he tries to call my other culpable friend, but he was smart enough to unplug his phone line upon seeing the initial call. so, my friend the driver, threw me under the bus so that he wouldn’t go down alone. his father picked me up, and I had to go with my friend and apologize to every house that was missing a mailbox. we also had to ask if there was anything we could do to replace the property damaged. some chores happened in the following weeks at a few of those houses. the reality is is that damaging someone’s mailbox - and therefore mail - is a federal offence. we could have been up for federal charges as teenagers that would have severely damaged our futures had we been found guilty. lessons were learnt, discipline was given, and no one’s future got ruined over some young mistakes. TLDR: George Bush could’ve called the cops on Bart for shredding his memoirs but instead just gave him a spanking - cause disciplining > destroying some kid’s life for one mistake.

This was on the news a couple nights ago. The kid is an idiot. On the news he was shown climbing a shelf in WalMart and flipping into the balls rack and then in another video he leaped into a table of baked goods destroying the table along with all the merchandise that was on it. The question isn’t where are his parents defending him, but rather where are his parents raising him? He deserves everything that happens to him because of this. Actions have consequences and kids doing dumb things isn’t an excuse.

Nope he’s old enough to know better. Then to hear him in the video after in the principal’s office and see the other two videos on his social media damaging merchandise at WalMart shows he’s nothing more than a thug who doesn’t deserve another chance. I have no sympathy for someone like that. Someone comes up to me out of nowhere and goes to put his arms around my head is getting put through a wall. If I am the principal I react to it like I would to one of these kids who walk up to strangers on the street and knock them out.

No he went to put his hands on the principal without provocation. He knew what he was doing when he went to do it. The principal had no idea but reacted quicker than the kid. Actions have consequences. Was he at a party fooling around with his friends? No he was at school where he went to put his hands on the principal. Clearly the kid hasn’t learned because look at the videos from his social media where he destroyed merchandise at WalMart jumping off the top of a shelving and then trashing the table in the bakery section. Maybe now he’ll learn a lesson.

Exactly my thoughts. But I'll ask you all this...how would your feelings change if the student was female and she got put in a headlock, struck, dragged down, etc? Because I remember going through this on the sports board when the Kareem Hunt video surfaced. Even though he barely pushed a woman and kicked her about as hard as you kick your kids when you play fight. He was the devil and should burned at the stake was the general consensus.EVEN THOUGH SHE SHOULD HAVE KNOWN BETTER THAN TO START AN ALTERCATION. It was his fault because he was a man. Reason I bring that up is this.. Imagine having higher standards for a kid than a grown ass adult woman. Imagine really being the guy saying a teenager should face consequences for playing around, but that an adult gets to play the victim for starting an altercation just because they were smaller/weaker. America ladies and gentlemen.

I’ll bite. While I don’t believe you should ever hit/punch/kick a female I will say this a female did assault someone she deserves to be restrained also. He was trying to assault the principal. I see the Principal restraining him in a headlock. Nowhere do I see the principal punching him in the head. I see him moving his right arm to lock in the headlock. The principal treated him with kid gloves.
Now back to the so called “kid”. He’s 18 years old so he’s old enough to fight for this country. And clearly old enough to know right from wrong. Let’s say for argument he was fooling around what if the principal didn’t catch him and he connected with the RKO and the principal hurt his neck or back would you still say don’t do anything to him? Assault is assault why should this kid get a break? Because he “claims” he was fooling around? Because the principal thwarted it? It was a planned act of violence and honestly the video only supports it. Why else would a student’s cel phone be already focused on the principal before anything happened? To me that tells me he told his friends he was going to do something to the Principal and they were all set up to catch it on camera. Again maybe now he’ll learn his lesson and get his act in gear.

Appreciate the opposing POV here, but I think we need uniform thinking. We should worry about punishing adult women correctly before we worry about minors.

Serious question: When does it stop being "youthful indiscretions" or "goofing off" and when does it start being a crime that you're charged for?
When I think of a kid goofing off, I think of skipping school to smoke weed with buddies and playing video games when one should be studying. Staying out past curfew. Sneaking into a movie theatre without paying. Stupid crap like that. Stuff that would get you detention or grounded, but probably not arrested.
I don't think of being caught on video destroying a baked goods table in a Walmart or trying to perform a wrestling move on my high school principal. That is the kind of stuff that little kids do, not people who are legally adults and can be charged with a criminal offense.
Personally, I think his parenting is lacking and his upbringing has been stunted. His brother and sister may be doing the very best that they can, but it looks like in this case, they're not up for the challenge, or whatever they're doing so far isn't working. It could very well be that he refuses to listen to them because they're not "his parents", or perhaps they're not strict enough, and it's leading him to think he can do whatever he wants to. Not everything works out like Party of Five.
Is the dude mentally challenged? Perhaps. Maybe they CAN'T reach him, and they will wind up needing the help of people with more training. Maybe a counselor can assist.

He knows the difference between right and wrong, he just chooses to be an bunghole.

I remember in middle school when a guy stuck a trash can on another kids head. When he stood up to get the can off I dropped him with a stunner....good times...good times

People these days think they live in a "no consequences" world. And when there are consequences they cry victim. This kid went up to this adult with what looked like the intent to assault (RKO or not). Intent or not, it's not the point. He did what he did. Same thing as if you jokingly say at a bank "I've got a bomb... just kidding". You cannot go around thinking you can just do what ever you want and it's ok. Thankfully this time there were consequences and the next punk that thinks of assaulting someone at that school will think twice.

Pfft. Amateur move not setting him up with the hanging DDT and taunting him by punching the ground prior. 1/10.
Could've made up for it if he countered the principal's counter into the IED punt, but alas...
