Matty Collector did this. It failed. The reason the Legends sell now, is because they’re no longer going to be produced with the concussion lawsuit happening. I think the concussion lawsuit was dismissed in November of 2018. Not saying anyone in the lawsuit will sign a merch deal- but, the chances are more likely now.

I’d buy 2 graham and 2 valentine. 1 Muta and 1 Bad News Brown. And I’d probably buy 2 of each Steiner.

Been wanting this for years and don't understand how Mattel continues to not fully capitalize in this area. Harley Race goes for freaking $300 these days. I'd buy 'em all, doubles of most, but marketing and planning Legends lines is like Mattel's kryptonite. They just don't know how to properly do it.

So let's say you saw the year in advanced of: January: Billy Superstar Graham February: Ivan Koloff March: Bruiser Brody April: Greg Valentine May: The Great Muta June: Nikita Koloff July: Bad News Brown August: Scott Steiner September: Rick Steiner October: Abdullah The Butcher November: Tony Atlas December: Rocky Johnson Bad News Brown, Greg Valentine and the Steiner Brothers are the only figs I'd buy from those. I think a lot would rot like Magnum TA, who by the way you can still buy in Canada. Worst release ever.

If you want Legends,
1) Start your own toy company 2) Hire designers and factories that can ripoff Mattel's molds 3) Sign wrestling legends to figure deals (most of them can be found at an indy show or wrestling convention) 4) Produce figures and sell to stores

The only one I’d buy is Bad News Brown. I’m not huge on Legends right now unless it’s the gimmick ones from the late 80s early 90s. I am in no way saying this is a bad idea. I think it would give true legends collectors a chance at owning Mattel versions of their favorites. I am all in for the exclusive idea since I for sure don’t wanna see Billy Graham on my shelves lol. I just want everyone to get the ones they want!
Tbh none of the legends I want are even in the question atm. I’d snap up a Mattel Slick but he’s apart of the lawsuit. I’d also go for Bull Nakano but I don’t see that happening 😭

Hogan was Graham. McMahon

While I'd love Muta and the Steiners, and those are must haves for me, paying $30 for a figure and then having to pay S&H on top of it...that's most likely going to be a no from me. That reeks of Matty Collector, and I'm not doing that again. I didn't buy the WWE figures from them as I wasn't collecting at the time, but I was collecting DC Universe, and Matty Collector killed that line dead. Taking something that I bought the first wave of for $10 at Target and making the only way I could get them be to pay $30-35 a piece after shipping...yeah, I wasn't doing that. So as much as I would love Muta and the Steiners...paying essentially double the cost of an Elite for them...I don't think I can get behind that.

Hogan was Graham. McMahon I never was a Greg Valentine fan. He’s easily forgettable to me. Both were a smidge before my time (I was born in 91). I remember Bad News Brown from old tapes. He’s not much more memorable but he was pretty dang badas$. I remember really wanting his CS figure but being ripped off on it and never did get it. Plus, we all got jipped on the LJN Bad News Brown. I feel like he would have had one had LJN gone on a few more months. I wish there was a way we could all get the legends we want. Personally, I have wanted Sapphire for eons! Do I ever see it happening? Not really. She wouldn’t sell. Do I see a slim chance if Mattel did a Dusty and Sapphire Battle Pack? Ehhh

Why not Khan, is he on really bad terms with WWE? I understand Owen Hart because of his widow, Dino Bravo because of the circumstances of his death, Billy Jack Haynes because of the stuff he has said about Vince and the WWE, the Mountie because they would have to pay The Mounties royalties, and probably Sunny and Chyna since they've done porn.

Because nobody knows who he is. If Wendi Richter, who was from around the same period and at one time was as popular as Hulk Hogan, has a hard time getting a figure, what does that bode for Killer Khan? Why not suggest figures for guys like Frank Gotch or George Hackenschmidt?

KIller Khan was a main eventer in the late 80's in the WWE fighting Hulk Hogan and Macho Man. He was known for breaking Andre the Giants ankle and was big in the south and around the world. Plus he has a unique look that would be appealing for kids. Lots of reasons to make him if you are making legends figures.
January: Barbarian Feb: Haku March: Outback Jack April: Repo Man May: Mr Fuji June: Slick July: Samba Simba August: Sabu September: Raven October: Tommy Dreamer November: The Sandman December: The Rock n Roll Express
