I'm sorry, but it's good that they teamed him with Gable because not only did it lead to a tag title, it led to valuable screen time. Now here's hoping he doesn't just fall into obscurity, because gone are the days of enjoying the stars for the sake of seeing stars wrestling good matches lik the 80s.

You keep bringing this up but literally most of the wrestlers/Indy darlings being cheered for in the current product today (Rollins, Bryan, Owens, Styles, Gargano, Cesaro etc) have solely been cheered for because of their wrestling ability. Give it a rest already, the 80’s was 30 years ago and move on because your point is invalid.

Roode needed the heel turn hopefully this leads to better things for him. Probably changed the name to Robert so as not to have 2 heels named Bobby on the same show, much like they did with Regal when they had Austin Vince didn't want Steve and Steven.

And granted I'm only 25 so I'm not speaking from experience but I love watching the older matches more than the current ones. I like the energy in the crowd. Anyways, I wish I could rest my mind and stop being upset about it, because obviously there are more immediate and life threatening problems in life. However, we are all entitled to not like seeing our artforms suffer. It's not mourning the blood in the streets, but we still need creative expression in order to actualize a sense of freedom and organic experience. And yes they are cheered, but people aren't invested in the wrestlers like they used to be. I want to be moved and disappointed in my favorites turning heel and proud of my favorites when they do the right thing.

I love a good match as much as the next guy, but I miss storylines. I miss personal issues and reasons to care for or hate the superstars. There's a reason I'd rather watch old Raw's on the Network than watch the current product (sans PPV's) I long for the day that I will no longer be content simply reading the results of Raw and Smackdown over on WrestleZone.

I don’t know how you can say that literally right after Kofi Kingston and Becky Lynch’s roads to WrestleMania, it was probably the most invested fans have been into characters since Daniel Bryan in 2013-2014. Im really happy for Kofi and Becky and I cheered along with everyone. And that’s coming from someone who loves Daniel Bryan no matter what. I just find it sad how the undercard guys have to work twice as hard for half the reaction and this culture of “pushed hard or buried” dichotomy. I’m sorry if I seemed like I’m painting with a broad brush, but I don’t like the size of those groups because most of the mid card suffers from that on top of bad or less than mindful booking.

Half the reason Roode has the stache now is probably for the Saudi Show.
You know they love their old time gimmicks, they probably wanted Rick Rude on the show but that can't happen.
So lets grab the next best thing, a guy with the name 'Roode', he wears a robe and lets give him a stache!
