I have no idea what made this pop into my head, but I was curious about the early days of Mattel. Not so much the first figures that they released, but did they have a ring ready to go as well when that first series came out and what was it? It seems to me like since they started this line they have released a ton of different rings. Sure some are just re-releases I am sure, but what was the very first Mattel ring?
Also on a side note with so many Mattel series now are we getting to the point where that awesome dude who runs all the polls on the Jakks board could start doing it for Mattel figures?

They were Mattel’s equivalent of Jakks’ Stunt Action Ring so they weren’t very well received but it was the only Mattel ring available at the time so it was what it was. Most people used their Jakks rings till the Authentic Scale Ring was released. |

Raw, Smackdown, and ECW rings. As far as I know the Ring has never changed only the stickers

Thanks for posting man, I was just curious about it Wonder if people were cool with these rings at the time? I had the RAW ring I liked it but I gave it to my nephews when I upgraded to my ESR |

Was the Breakdown Brawl ring for the Flexforce figures released around the same time as the Basic ones?

My first Mattel ring was the Walmart Christmas one with Del Rio and Cena. Got it mainly for the accessories.

Wow I forgot about that series 1 six-pack. We must've not gotten it in Canada or else I probably would have picked it up. |
