I've just finished year 2003 on the network (SD & Raw), I'm watching them in order along with every PPV. My overriding opinion on 2003 was Triple H was involved in nearly every main event angle, and it was far too much. Don't get me wrong, he was great in his role, but even now I'm desperate for the main event picture to change with Beniot winning and it mostly still has Raw revolving around HHH (& Evolution) and I'm only at Backlash 04. The Stiener feud at the start of the year sucked and so did the matches, Booker T was just kind of thrown into the main event at Wrestlemania 19, and I remember a Nash/Triple H "Brawl" resulted in "you both suck" chants at a Raw before the Hell in the Cell match. Start of the year was rough to watch in my opinion. The angle with Kane worked well for a few months, but they ed that up quite quick imo.

Hopefully in 15 years you won't make a thread about how awesome 2018 was and say bah humbug when someone says they hated it.

I was a kid at the time and didn't ruin the show by reading spoilers or being negatively influenced by the internet. Although the Triple H reign of terror was tedious there was plenty of other stuff that had me hooked, but like Reigns today people focus on the bad points and dub the show as crap or whatever.

Ahhh, 2003...
When everyone wished horrific things on Triple H. And I was over here just grinning ear to ear. Good times, good times.
If you would have told me then that in 2019, Triple H would be getting the praise he gets, I would have laughed at you.

For some of us we were done with wrestling. It wasn't a product for the masses anymore as the 80s and Attitude were. I never liked the brand split, and having too much talent doesn't automatically guarantee quality.

I'm legitimately enjoying my journey through 2003 Raw, but you just described my exact feelings about today's product. The only time I watch is PPV's.

Having JR and King on commentary still was a big reason why I go back and Watch Raw from that year. Even if the show was bad they made it entertaining to watch.
IMO the last good commentary team WWE had.

You ain't kidding. All these years later and it still boggles my mind.No need to turn em babyface at all.
