Good to see some Batman fans on here, let alone Batman figure fans (I guess this is a figure board though anyway). Looks like Thumpers's pretty up to date in the Batman world, judging by the illustration from the most recent issue of Batman in his signature. I will most likely get all of these, as this is a series that's been on my DC Direct Wish List for a little while. Never thought it would come true though. I'm a little upset there's no Jim Aparo-styled Batman, and a Lady Shiva would've been great also (Series 2 maybe?). Speaking of Batman figures, you can check out batmanytb.com for practically the entire catalog of Batman action figures & dolls. I run that section, it's a fun site.

I too had been hoping for a long time for a Knightfall set of figures. Perhaps with the recent trend of dipping to old issues for figure imspiration, we might get a set of figures from the dark knight strikes again. While I think the illustration of Dark Knight Returns is great, i think miller really did his best work on DK2. The set could be, Batman, Superman, Catgirl, Wonder Woman, Superman's daughter, and lex luthor. As for a series 2 of Knightfall could be Firefly, The Ventrillaquist (sp?), Scarecrow, Zsaz, Two-face, and a battle damaged Batman. Right there we would get three people we do not have figures off (aside from animated versions). Other ideas are Lady Shiva, POsion Ivy, Robin, Alfred dressed as a doctor, Joker, Jean Paul Valley as himself, a non beefed up Bane in his satin robe, Mad Hatter, Gordon, and Killer Croc, who would be awesome. There are a lot of possibilites. While the set is a knightfall set i think they should uuse it to showcase the styles from the 80's. They can do a follow up series to the long halloween that comes out this october. Also soon we have the rouges gallery coming out at the end of july. What i would really like is a set based on Jae Lee's design's, so maybe a set based on Batman:Jekyll and Hyde. They can also do a War Games set, with a Scarebeast figure and a spoiler figure.I'm sure with the popularity of the HUsh figures and Jim Lee there will be a set from Superman: For Tommorow and All*Stars Batman & Robin (starting Wed) I think DC Direct is doing a real good job of coming out with figures that everyone wants. Also an update on their website, they will have a ask the editor esque thing on the DC Direct site.

Yep, Superman: For Tomorrow is getting it's own figure line. I'm not sure if I'll get any of those, I quit reading that series after three issues to concentrate on other stories.
I do think Zsasz, Ventriloquist, Battle-Damaged Batman, and a lot of other ones you mentioned sound cool for the Knightfall series. I think the chances of Scarecrow, Killer Croc, Mad Hatter, Robin, or Gordon getting figures are kind of low, as they've all recently gotten their own in other DCD lines. Though most of the characters had different styles in 1993 than they do now, so they could probably all work. A classic Batman with interchangeable forearms (regular Batman gloves and Azrael's sharp-fingered gauntlets) would be awsome, but unlikely.
I didn't know about that 'Ask the Editor' type thing. That sounds neat.
