Why are people ignoring that this is not specific to Mattel?

Why are people ignoring that this is not specific to Mattel? Because nothing is specified in the OP.

Why are people ignoring that this is not specific to Mattel? Because nothing is specified in the OP. He says "Top 10 that never had a figure" and by his list, he clearly doesn't mean 10 that Mattel hasn't made, or else bigger names would've been included.

This thread proves that there aren’t really any worthwhile names that have never had a toy made.

To never have a Mattel (not in order, just numbered for counting): 1. Greg Valentine 2. Haku 3. Hercules 4. Billy Graham 5. Jesse Ventura 6. Owen Hart 7. Chyna 8. The British Bulldogs 9. The Rougeau Brothers 10. Dino Bravo
Great list, unfortunately I don't think we will ever see Mattel figs of any of those which sucks!
Greg Valentine & Billy Graham (he has been under a legends deal for several years now) should have already been made- its looking less and less likely that neither of these will ever be made which is a black mark on Mattel's WWE line IMHO. Haku is the only other one on that list that could get made but the rest are not likely IMO. One addition I would make is Koko B. Ware, another notable 80s guy whom Mattel almost made but scrapped due to his involvement with the concussion lawsuit. According to a post on the boards here, a finished prototype exists and its most likely in Bill's private collection (along with the One Man Gang proto).

This thread proves that there aren’t really any worthwhile names that have never had a toy made. You are really wrong Wrestlers like dino bravo is well deserve, the rougeau bros, beverly bros, the vachons, the great wizard, buddy rodgers, bjack mulligan etc... I know that guys like battle kat, the gooker or big bully busick its more a fantasy wet dream but if we got the red rooster or outback jack or nailz they are not far away from this. The sad part the since the 1983 remco figs, we got so many companies and lines , and some legends did not have at least one figure done , its a crime. This is the really why at first i was pissed to learn that mattel got the license, but with jakks, i think the list will be near complete at the moment, but with mattel we started from scratch. And i dont like that mattel their hands are tied that they cant sign wrestlers by themselve.

I agree with what you said, I don't know how we have not gotten a Valentine or Graham by now. I get that a lot of people don't think Valentine will sell but then how are we getting a Muraco (or some of the other guys that are on Valentine's level or lower) Don't get me wrong, I'm thrilled that we are getting a Muraco, and I hope we get more from that era, but you can't say that Muraco is more widely know than Valentine - or Graham for that matter. From what I have seen on this message board, I believe the reason we have not gotten a Haku figure is because he is under contract with a company in Japan - I think, so the WWE isn't going to promote a guy working for another company. I also remember hearing that Koko was one of the figures that was scrapped due to the concussion lawsuit. If I remember correctly, he was being made around the time that the Warlord and Berzerker figures were but they were farther along in the process so they got to come out where as Koko did not. I believe I heard that the Barbarian was also supposed to come out around the same time as those figures, but like Koko, his figure was not as far along in the process as the Warlord and Berzerker so it has not come out. In regards to the concussion lawsuit, I was watching a shoot interview of Billy Jack Haynes, from January of this year, and he said the concussion lawsuit is still going on. The court threw out the case but now it is being appealed. Not sure if it is true, or if the appeal has been thrown out yet, but if the case is still being appealed it will probably be a while before we see any figure of the guys in that lawsuit.

Still trying to figure out the reason why they won't make Valentine or Graham- do they think they will sell terribly (worse than Tugboat, Berzerker, Ringmaster or the recent Wrestlemania Beefcake) or is WWE not giving approval to a make figures of them for some reason?!
Interesting news about Haku? I read something about him helping out his son who is in another promotion but I didn't know that he was signed too?!
As for the lawsuit, it is being appealed- the appeal was originally scheduled to be heard March 29 but that has been pushed back.
Is that because he is a bigger want of yours than Valentine is?! Muraco left WWE before the late 80's boom period so IMO he is not as well known to casual fans of the golden era as Valentine is who was there until the early 90s. Both these guys appeal more to old school wrestling fans IMO than traditional WWE fans as the high point of their careers was arguably mid 70s to mid 80s.
With the pending release of Muraco, they will have made all the principle characters that Valentine was involved with (Tito & Muraco- feuds / Beefcake & HTM- tag partners) - yet this does not seem to be incentive enough for Mattel to release 1 damn figure of him?? I don't buy the 'he's not signed' crap, if they wanted to sign him they could as I don't see him refusing to sign or asking for too much $$. What ticks me off the most is that if by some miracle he does get made it will be more difficult to find him thanks to this new crappy distribution model with legends now being relegated to 'store exclusive add-ons to the main line'.

No, he’s a bigger want for me than the Hammer, because I felt he was in many more memorable feuds in his time in the WWF than the Hammer. Outside of his outstanding Intercontinental Championship feud with Santana I felt the Hammer was more of a tag team guy in the WWF. Whereas Muraco had great feuds with Snuka, Morales, Steamboat, Backlund, Santana & Piper.

FOH According to Bill she is too niche (not well known by enough fans/collectors) to warrant a release so they shelved the figure until they decide what to do. He also said that her release is contingent on how well the Sherri figure sells which IMO is BS because they are from different eras and appeal to different fans. I would use the fact that she was a pioneer in women's wrestling and one of the first WWE women's champions to help market and sell the figure.
