Hi all
We decided to make an ECW merch/figure retrospective video, based on our collections, and the knowledge we’ve gained from other collectors over he years. We were joined by new Grapple Arcade broadcast journalist 😉... the Quintessential Stud Muffin, Joel (insert filthy poem) Gertner. It also features a little cameo from The King of Old School, Steve Corino. We had fun making it, but he editing has killed me. We have a lot planned in the near future, so please give our humble platform a follow. We’re always happy to chat about figs and merch!
Cheers!

I will watch this for many reasons, as ECW had such amazing merch, in general (see Team Extreme shirts and Sandman's cartoon shirt), but I would listen to Gertner read a shopping list and be ecstatic, so this is a must for me. Any hope for Joey Styles in the future?

Any hope for Joey Styles in the future? Shirts will be a future episode, don’t want you to get your hopes up with this one. This is a pretty solid focus on the figures. If truth be told, there isn’t a huge amount we don’t already know. Believe me, we did lots of digging, but from all of the avenues we travelled, including with assistance from Joel. Either way, it was fun to make. I’ve had the entire line for years, including the ring and weapons. After selling my Hasbro mailaways I started thinking about the ECW proto figs. A number of us have discussed them at length in the past, on this forum in fact, so I’m biding my time and waiting to see if I can ever get hold of any of the proto Sabu figs, the Video tape / figure packs and obviously Road Kill (a bit unlikely 😆). I think it’s fair to say it’s a nice little round up video for new collectors of the line, or those intrigued by it, but weren’t aware of its history. Also want to stress that Joel jumps in to share some analysis, he’s not with us for the duration. A talking head, if you will. You’ll just have to put up with us 2 British idiots for most of the vid. A fun to make, mini retrospective! Lots more planned though, and if people are somewhat entertained, we have a lot more planned, with more in depth cameos. 👍

I know I have followed a bit of the story for the proto pieces, saw Curt Hawkins had one or 2, Douglas with a ponytail, and RVD?. You might reach out to Roadkill for any info he has on his fig....all I ever saw was just a photo of a resin, non-colored proto, if memory serves right.
