Whoa. I wanted to buy another Macho Man to keep moc. How can they charge $25 for it if they know that cards are messed up? Lower the price.

Everyone might be overreacting a bit. Let's wait and see if the back order of series 9 is like this and series 10. Maybe they are going forward with this from now on. No one including RSC knows at this point. The series 9 and 10 will be fine. It's common sense that this was a one time thing. And overreacting? Are you kidding? Some of us spent a lot of money on these and have been waiting months to receive them. Only to end up with a pile of worthless junk. We put our money and trust into this company expecting quality service and when we get something like this we lose a good amount of respect for them. And Mattel? Oh man. How could a mulyi-million dollar company of that magnitude do something as stupid as this?? We are not overreacting, we have every right to be angry at this. These belong in the damaged packaging section because they are absolutely damaged. As collectors we dont open our figures. So a damaged package like this is completely worthless to us unless we get it for $5. Have you even seen these yet? They look absolutely horrendous with tape allllll around the entire bubble. Like Mattel ran out of glue or something. Whoever gave the go ahead to put tape on them instead needs to be fired immediately. Imagine getting a $200 Roman Reigns retro figure and then finding out it's all taped up?? Im returning all 8 of mine and RC will be paying for the shipping. This is absolutely unacceptable on all levels. Only 2 figures from series 9 are on back order. The Goldust is still available and Samoa Joe is not on back order. Very hard to find, too. I ordered the whole series 9 set and they were all fine. Series 10 will be fine, too unless Mattel runs out of glue again.

Dude relax. Yes I have seen them. I reported on them first. The Kofi I got was taped but in a professional factory way like 3.75 marvel legends or transformers power of the primes. How do U know it's a one time deal? And yes if Rsc said oh well then by all means overreact. But they are offering everyone a refund.

How do U know it's a one time deal? And yes if Rsc said oh well then by all means overreact. But they are offering everyone a refund. Why would it be an ongoing issue? It's obvious they ran out of glue since the spots that are taped are not glued. Plus, I've been ordering these for awhile now and this has never happened. I dont see why it would happen again and again weeks-months afterwards. RC may or may not be offering everyone a refund. I emailed them days ago when i got my first order in and they told me that i had to pay for shipping. So, we'll see what they say now. I'm certainly not overreacting at all. We all have a right to be upset. You purchased a Kofi and probably opened it. I spent over $150 and waited months for them to be in stock. And this is what we get? When we order from a company like Ringside we expect a certain height of quality and professionalism, which I'll admit I usually get, but this is just ridiculous. I'm sorry but a taped up figure is something a 12 year old would do to make it look more new. Im surprised they didnt use staples. I'm not concered nor aware of any Transformers or Star Trek figures that came like this. However, it just goes to show how irresponsible and unaware Mattel really is.

I dont think this will be an ongoing thing. Just with old series shipped out to discount stores or apparently ringside. Most of the NXT basic series 1 I saw at 5 below all had the bubbles taped to the cards too. Walmart and target are not getting product that is taped together though.

I need to go back and check out my New Day figures I received along with my Macho. I did't really take a look over them as I really just wanted macho but ordered the whole set. My Big E bubble did have a big crack in it I noticed, but I let it go at the time. Now I need to take another look.

I rec'd my sets of 5 & 6. My two sets of Series 6 were sent in its Mattel brown factory case. This truly is Mattel's doing, not Ringsides. All my bubbles are taped in pretty much the same areas. Weird thing is that most of my blisters were fine with a few spots where the glue dried up or wasn't glued sufficiently. They honestly didn't need any tape on them. These were also older factory stock sitting around as the imprinted date stamps on the back of the packages are from the original release period. I do not believe that when more Series 9 comes in or Series 10 will have this issue. Mattel probably just taped all 5 & 6 packages just to be on the safe side. That way retailer/wholesalers didn't have to repackage them and return them. Me being the collection nut that I am, will be keeping one set of each this weirdness for novelty purposes.

I didn't even think to check the date stamps. Series 9 back order and 10 should be normal.

My Nakamura,Big E & Xavier were fine but my Kofi looked like 💩 I had to add more tape to it. I’ll hang on to it until I find a better one.

The tape around the package was normal for a while back years ago, when the cost of plastic was going high. McFarlane did it, Marvel Toys/ToyBiz did it with the TNA and Legendary comic heroes, Hasbro did it with Star Wars. For openers loose collector's its fine. MOC collectors hated it, I used to see anal people going crazy with the packages to find pristine tape and they would put the figures in the plastic cases to protect them.

Is it possible these were factory rejects from original production runs? And Mattel just said, eh, someone will buy these, let's fix em up and send em out?

Has anyone received a return shipping label? I'm still waiting for a response. Hello, I checked with Ringside CS and the label was emailed to you yesterday. If you have not received it yet check your spam/junk mail folder. If it is not there either just shoot them another email cs@ringsidecollectibles.net. Thanks JS

I got my order of these yesterday and the tape is actually very subtle. On some dogs if u weren't looking for it u probably wouldnt even notice. Not nearly as bad a situation as it seemed initially

What a shame. A taped bubble is basically a loose figure to a MOC collector.

Wow. Not even a full refund. Really. Paid 52.98 + $9 shipping and you couldn't refund the shipping cost?! Not good that you chose to sell open/damaged figures as "new" versus communicating with your customers. Buyer beware.
