Nope. It would be a conflict of interest. Exactly. It would also be a breech of contract

Nobody knows the details of their contract. It’s likely WWE has verbiage in the deal stating Mattel cannot make figures for a rival company but no one knows for sure. Plus there may be some grey areas that they can exploit the same way Funko, Loyal Subjects, Wicked Cool, Jakks, etc. can make WWE toys. Maybe they can make figures at a different scale or exclusive to the Asian market or any number of different loopholes. The question is would they want to. Is there a big enough demand for AEW, NJPW, etc. for them to even consider acquiring the license and mass producing those figures?

There’s maybe some chance of a company (not Mattel) taking a shot on AEW figures, but NJPW as a mass produced western toy line is obviously just pie in the sky.

Well we all seen where the ROH figure line along with a few NJPW figures ended up at a company that we can't talk about on here so someone could pickup AEW license and market them out somehow but I don't think it's gonna be Mattel unless they lose the wwe license maybe Hasbro could jump in and start a line with them depending on how popular it's gets or ljn is just going to be the AEW line through ringside I mean we already have the young bucks to start with so why not

I’m not sure why they would want to or need to. I assume WWE has it in writing that they can’t but even so....who would they even make?

Doesn't stop Mattel from making both Marvel and DC products. Doesn't stop Lego from doing the same.

How about we see how AEW does running weekly live tv.
Maybe down the line, but a company like Mattel wouldn’t jeopardize their wwe partnership for some new upstart
