Did I just read Jericho taking credit for Fandango being over for 1 night? The other day he tried to take credit for people getting more money cause he signed with AEW. Someone needs to check Jericho for CTE cause the old man is starting to get delusional. Jericho and/or Ryback gonna claim they invented wrestling soon.

Its things like this that make me hate Jericho; I've said it before but he's now became what he spent the first 20years of his career fighting against. He's an older, aging man who's clawing to his spot and doing anything to stay relevant, including just talk and talk.
He's also nowhere near as big a star as he thinks he is; Trips, Hogan, Flair, Taker all had/have far more value in their twilight years than Jericho could wish for.

So glad other people have noticed this too. I've been reading up on some old articles, and Triple H bashes WCW alot for the old guys taking spots away from the younger guys. He specifically mentioned Flair, and how its embarassing that he's out there in his 50s wearing tiny trunks. It's not like he didnt just do that a month ago.

I see your point, but you must give Jericho credit in that he has contributed to the business in many more ways throughout his career. Even though he's not a Hogan or Austin, you can't deny he made the same impact (and arguably greater), just spread across smaller chunks over time. Jericho can wrestle circles around everyone you mentioned, and no one Jericho's age can do the things he still does in the ring. You're only fooling yourself if you're going to discredit his unparalleled career and deep experience across all that he's done.

To be fair, my favourite thing about AEW so far is Jericho pretending in interviews that he’s a Hogan-level star. His tweet about Brock winning MitB was a brilliant display of how completely self-unaware he is.

Jericho is completely aware of what he’s doing, and it’s great for business.
Kind of weird to see the hate, but I guess he’s not everyone’s cup of tea. He’ll still go down as one of the greatest of all time, in no small part because of how many times he was able to successfully reinvent himself.
He could take an actual dump on a replica WWE title at an AEW show and he’s still be able to finish his career out at WWE if that’s what he feels like doing.

I’ll never forget a late 90’s PWI year end awards magazine right before he went to WWE. Most overrated superstar: Chris Jericho. Most underrated superstar: Chris Jericho. Some things don’t change.

Sometimes it easy to forget how fickle wrestling fans can be. You guys turned on Chris Jericho now? Really?

Sometimes it easy to forget how fickle wrestling fans can be. You guys turned on Chris Jericho now? Really? I think the truth lies somewhere in the middle. like, he does look a bit washed up, with his current Johnny Depp/Michael Hayes getups and not being in fantastic ring shape and generally seeming like a vodka crazed lunatic, but he’s also one of the most influential men in wrestling who can still have a good match at his age, making huge moves in the business and main eventing the largest American wrestling ppv outside wwe in 20 years...

Like everything with Jericho, I think his whole current look/persona is intentionally crafted by him for a purpose. He’s playing a Hogan type outwardly for heel purposes. Until we hear rumblings from AEW guys that he’s a jerk or whatever, this is what I believe.

I'm just happy he's not doing his A Clockwork Jericho crap anymore.
