With Bret showing up in AEW, do you think that could spell the end of Bret figures?

Most likely yes

Getting wrecked at the HOF must have turned him heel on WWE

I doubt it. From my understanding he just showed their championship belt. I don’t think he signed a contract with them so why would they stop making his figures?

Bret most likely isn’t under a contract with them and may just sign up to make appearances. If he still has a legends deal with WWE he’ll still be made

It was probably just a one-off appearance. Bret was in town for Starrcast and is a well-loved former world champ. He was perfect for debuting the belt, but I doubt he'll have any involvement beyond that.

Damn, first I'm hearing of this. REALLY hope it's nothing to worry about. Really need those Hart Foundation retros.

Bret still has a legends deal with WWE. Don't forget Billy Gunn was under contract with AEW, showed up at the WWE Hall of Fame, WrestleMania, and did the ride along episode. This is probably just a one time special appearance.

Bret, like DDP, is still signed to a WWE contract.

Sucks that Jericho had to be modern now and probably will never get a WCW version.

Oh yeah, def. good point about Goldust forgot all about him. Really perfect timing with that one as he was one of the Retro figures I wanted most to go alongside my classic Hasbro figures besides Diesel. Yeah, would have been nice to get a classic Jericho in Series 2 instead of HHH since there's a pretty good chance he's going nowhere lol and plenty of other spots to put him in for future sets.

One off appearance or not Vince cannot be happy. Ultimate Bret might be the last mattel Bret we see for awhile.

I feel like Mattel really dropped the ball with Jericho in general. I wanted a WCW lion heart for the longest and never got anything

I thought Bret was under that forever Taker deal. Sucks we’ll never get that survivor series 1993 short singlet Bret.

I’m thinking Vince allowed Bret to appear at DON in exchange for AEW allowing Billy Gunn to appear at the HOF.

No we'll still get Bret figures. Flair was originally scheduled to be the one to reveal the belt but because of his health couldnt show up. Bret was just a one time last minute replacement.

Granted with as vindictive as Vince/WWE can be anything is possible, but I doubt it. Bret’s not signed with or working with AEW in any official capacity it seems, so I doubt it has any effect in his legends deal.

If Vince tries to pull one of his "Vince moves" trust me, Bret ain't going to be quiet about it. He'll let us know, and will become part of AEW out of spite. I hope after last night Vince realized he can't be that petty and stupid anymore.
