How much do reviews affect your purchasing habits?
Reviews to me are essential to selling new product, especially from a smaller company. We do reviews for Ringside's Jakks product and think it helps people see what they're to expect before buying. In the case of Jakks, there are so many figures to buy, sometimes you have to narrow own what you want and prioritize.
Do reviews help you in assessing your purchases?

Not at all. I just need to see pictures of it. I could care less what other people think bout a figure. I just need to see what it looks like to decide if I want to buy it.

Sid,
What do you look for in the picture? What matters most to you? Is it sculpt, articulation etc?
Thanks, Brian

I can look at all the reviews and pictures out there, and for me, it still comes down to seeing it in person. I've seen countless figures that look great when someone else takes the picture, but when I find it in the store, it looks awful.

I usually just buy it based on the initial photography released. Sometimes if I read a really good review that knocks me off my feet, I may buy something I usually wouldn't... but rarely.
