The End of an Era took place at WrestleMania XXVIII. The Undertaker defeated Triple H in a Hell in A Cell match. The Undertaker would go unheard until returning at Raw 1000, only to be attacked by Dolph Ziggler making a statement. Mr. Money In The Bank for weeks would go around mocking The Undertaker. And getting under his skin. Ziggler found his faint, when The Undertaker was declared to be the man he's facing at Summer Slam 2012 in a Casket match. Ziggler would be running scared with the wrath of the Deadman, and rightfully so with The Undertaker taking his rightful victory.
The Undertaker would once again take a sabbatical until Randy Orton would eliminate The Undertaker at the Royal Rumble. Orton would speak of second chance to break the streak. Orton would continue to challenge The Undertaker, until Cm Punk looking to undermine Cena/Rock. Looked to break the streak. Cm Punk defeated Orton, and would cowardly target The Undertaker. Attacking him with urn and disrespecting the foundation of The Undertaker. The Undertaker managed to put Punk in his place for the event.
The Undertaker made his intentions clear the night after WrestleMania XXVI when he confronted John Cena face to face. The Undertaker still saw Cena as the young rookie he faced in 2003. Undertaker would come out the next night to voice his respect for Cena but his intention for a rematch, would be attacked by the Shield. The Shield would lay Taker out as statement to Taker's brother Kane who was entangled in a feud with them.
The Undertaker would return the night after Money in The Bank saving Kane and The Big Show. The trio would unite as super team to confront the Shield at Summer Slam. Three monsters and veterans going up against the most premiere tag team. Taker, Kane, and Big Show would hand the Shield they're very first loss.
Followed by this The Undertaker and Kane put their odds in a tag team match at Night of Champions defeating Reigns and Rollins for the WWE Tag Team Championship. The feud would take it's next turn as Big Show was taken out and it was left to the Brothers. At Hell in a Cell the Shield defeated Taker and Kane in winner takes 3 on 2 handy cap Hell in a Cell match.
The Undertaker would return to WWE in February 2014, only for his return to be cut short of The Rock. The Rock has finally come back for WrestleMania. The Rock stares Taker down face to face. Stating the only thing he hasn't done, was break the streak. The Rock saw The Undertaker continued to be falling apart and questioned if The Undertaker was even who he said he originally was. The Undertaker returned on the 2015 New Years Raw and spoke of what Sting had done with pure anger. The Undertaker seemed to not even believe this and would go on rampage attacking members of the Authority. Forcing Kane to have to remask to confront his brother. Kane engaged The Undertaker at Royal Rumble 2015, with The Undertaker leaving the ring in victory and chaos. The Undertaker was then again signaled off by Sting and played with followed by Taker calling Sting out at Fast Lane. Things finally took fold with Sting stating breaking his silence and challenging The Undertaker to WrestleMania. Sting saw this as mission for himself to do the unthinkable. And be compared to Taker for years has ate him up. And not matter the color he wore, he fought for what's right. And what he sees is the greatest evil to dawn on pro wrestling.
The Stakes were brought up to Anything goes, The Undertaker defeated Sting at WrestleMania 31. The Undertaker once again left, until calling out and challenging Chris Jericho after Money in The Bank 2015. Taker states he longer looks for challenges he finds them. Jericho responded showing a equal brutality beating Taker with a chair and refusing to let go of the Walls of Jericho. Chris Jericho managed to defeat Taker at Summer Slam 2015 with brass knuckles shot followed by Code Breaker.
Jericho continued to taunt this and promote this. Only for Taker to seem to have no stop. Jericho pissed of the authority more by putting them in the firing line as at Night of Champions a rematch was scheduled and The Undertaker defeated Jericho ending the rivalry.
The Deadman would disappear until saving Kane from attack from Bray Wyatt in The Fall of 2015. The Paranormal Brothers were back and stood to the Wyatt Family defeating them in Survivor Series Elimination Match at Survivor Series 2015.
Bray Wyatt would be ate up by this and it would drive him mentally insane, to where he was fired and locked in a crazy house. Taker fought in the 2016 Rumble only for Wyatt in chains to eliminate Taker. Taker would hunt Wyatt family members and Kevin Owens would get in the way by Taker's rage. Owens victim of circumstance was defeated by Taker at Fast Lane 2016. Wyatt attacked his former family members in rage and got inside Taker's brain Wyatt would light Kane on fire giving him the same trauma as child. Wyatt would revisit all eras of The Undertaker. And tear apart the mind. Taker faced fears in Hell in a Cell match WrestleMania 32.
The Undertaker in his final match become a hybrid of all. He dawned his goatee from his ministry and logos with purple logos like his 95-96 era , his hair grown back, a bandanna around his head, his hands in his gloves, and a melody of all his Deadman theme songs opened as it sped up to his current theme as he made his way to the ring.
Bray Wyatt defeated Undertaker in the Cell. Wyatt would have his moment and try to bury Taker alive, but Bray Wyatt was fought off by Kane. Kane would come to his brothers aide. Taker would finally rise as he took his gloves and lowered his singlet. Taker untied his bandanna, left his hat and jacket in the ring. The American Badass theme played as Taker put a bandanna on his shoulder and got on his motorcycle and rode off to the sunset.
