Kalisto and Rusev should absolutely not get Retros right now. I don’t even want the Usos but since their dad had a Hasbro I’m sure it’ll be an amazing full circle deal for them to get Retros. Jeff Jarrett is obviously a big one. Would love Steamboat in normal gear. I’m sure we’ll get him in his Mania 3 attire. His Hasbro is amazing though imo, even for a jumper. Maybe too much to hope but I would love Rey in WCW gear. If they use the jumper mold they can go WCW or we’ll get him in the Nakamura/HBK mold, which seems more likely to me, unfortunately. You dont like the kicking mold for Rey? I think that would be perfect. I don't care for the jumper mold, like everyone else, but that would fit Rey nicely. The kicking mold for Rey is fine for the baggy pants version but I prefer a WCW version of him, or even a recent version of him since he’s back to wearing tights.

That makes total sense.

Hopefully quality control is a bit better on the next set of figures and obviously the cheap a$$ packaging.

I'm just curious, how come people always seem to want names that Hasbro already made definitive versions of, like Hogan and Andre? I would think it's because a lot of people (especially kids/younger fans) collecting Retro's actually didn't collect the Hasbro's... I never did, even though I'm old enough (40something) to remember them. Plus, if you're a MOC collector (...me again), you can't just pick up a cheap MOC Hasbro (like you can with some loose figures) - most of them are very expensive(!).

I would also say that it's because Hasbro was nearly 30 years ago, and I know I'd like to see Mattel's updated version of a Hulk or Andre. Especially Hulk Hogan or a Hollywood Hogan. And of course everything you said. They are extremelt difficult to find moc, especially in mint condition which would cost you almost a weeks pay sometimes.

1.Bret Hart 2.Volkoff 3.Cesaro 4.Roman #2 As much as I dont like Roman figures anymore since there's a million of them, I would definitely want to see a Roman #2 in the retro line. First because a lot of us never got the original Roman and also because it will knock down the value of the original series 1 Roman so some of us can affors to buy it moc.

I would like to see the Reigns punch mechanism used more. They've used that clothesline move to death lately. Make a few with the punch already! It would be nice to have more with the overhead slam that Lesnar, Rock and Big E have too.

The clothesline mold was my favorite until series 9 had 3 of the 4 figures with it. Definitely love that slamming one and the one they used on Braun Strowman and Diesel is awesome. Would be good to use on Big Show or Big John Studd.

I'm hoping for at least 1 or 2 from my dream list: Haku, Arn Anderson, Tully Blanchard, Barbarian, King Kong Bundy, Nikolai Volkoff, Jerry Lawler 93, Jeff Jarret 95, Owen Hart 94, Power and Glory, Bad News Brown, Genius, Surfer Sting, Vader, Hollywood Hogan, Big John Studd, Harley Race, Mabel, Edge, Christian, Eddie Guerrero, Rey Mysterio, RVD, Raven, William Regal, CM Punk, Cesaro, Jimmy Uso, Jey Uso, or Batista.

I suspect the Roman punch hasn’t been used due to the Shield details on the chest and back being unusable for any other guy they’ve done so far - but I could be wrong of course.
I wonder how much it costs Mattel - in the context of the Retro budget - to make amendments to existing bodies to fit different guys - like how much extra would it have cost Mattel to add the singlet top detail onto the Lesnar chest and back when they used it for Braun and the subsequent Diesel? Both I think would’ve looked a lot better than the figures do now with just the tops painted onto the bare bodies IMHO.

That's a good point. Anyone here who has made custom retros from Mattel Retros, maybe you can answer that ?

I don't know how it really works. Don't think they can just make minor changes w/out investing on an all new mold. But I could be wrong. Yeah for sure, singlets should have been molded, and they should have also made regular size boots for the clothesline guys instead of the short Austin boots.

I don’t know either - on one hand the mechanism and dimensions should be set after they make the first one, so maybe it’s just a case of swapping one set of chest and back “plates” for another of the same size with the desired differences made to it, but then again it can’t be as easy as that sounds or they’d probably have done that long before now. It must be expensive to do; Hasbro reused parts with inappropriate detailing on even before the end of their run, and that was their main line rather than a side line like the Retros are for Mattel, so I’m guessing it must take significant investment to make changes to existing designs. Maybe that’s the reason they don’t just resize the Elite or Basic heads for the Retros?

I'm not even an moc collector, but I picked up an extra to keep moc when the retro line first started just because I thought the packaging looked cool. Glad I did. I only regret not buying an extra series one Owens as he's the only one I don't have moc from that series.

Found it in the walmart clearance aisle long after series 1 was discontinued. Had to have been a return. Got it for $2.

I’ve purchased series 1-7 with 8, 9 & 10 shipping as we speak. For series 11, if we’re going to keep two retro and two current stars, my wants would be anyone from the 80’s or 90’s and Becky & Charlotte or Ronda.
