Yesterday I went to a Target I don't frequent often. I was going once in a while when I had a long list of figures I was trying to find but haven't been there much recently. Since finding Wolfe maybe about a month ago, I haven't really had any WWE figures I've been on the hunt for as I've gotten hold of basically everything that came out but Sensational Sherri since I really ramped up my collecting this year. I actually went to look at this store's Funko Pops as I've been dabbling in those recently.
Didn't see anything interesting with the Funkos so I went to go see if there was anything interesting in the WWE or Marvel Legends section. I walked up to the WWE figures and noticed the Elite 64 Samoa Joe that I see pretty regularly and it looked like they had the Elite Fashion Police. Just as I was about to move over to the Marvel toys, I did a double take as in the fairly bare Elite section, I saw the side panel of PETE DUNNE staring back at me. I was shocked but on the top peg behind the Tyler Breeze was a Pete Dunne and a Curt Hawkins. The Hawkins was the regular, as I still never came across the Chase but I was so stunned to see Dunne in the wild, especially this far out.
I originally got Dunne when the wave first dropped at Target. I knew I was lucky that day when I got him but didn't realize how lucky I was at the time with how hard he ended up being to get. I typically open my figures but I am a big Pete Dunne fan and had hoped to have one to open and one to keep in box. I never opened my original because of how perfect the packaging was so I was extra stunned and happy to find him.
Part of the reason I hadn't been to this store in some time was their Elite stock numbers online looked really high and they had a lot of old stuff. I can only assume Pete hasn't been on the shelf that long and that someone found him and Curt in the back and threw them on the shelf. I mean, that Joe from the set had been there for a while but the Seth that usually joined him and some of the Top Talent were finally gone.
This may be my most unbelievable find as I didn't expect to see a popular figure in the wild this far out from release. I'd be interested in hearing anyone else's similar experiences.

Such an awesome find, bro!!
Can't wait until I get that same feeling when i find....something. Last week I went to my usual empty Target and found it stocked with E66. No Wolfe, unfortunately, but I did find a KO Chase and a Nikki Cross wearing her gear, both of which I've been wanting a lot lately. I was surprised and definitely excited to find those. But still waiting to find that big deal figure.
So glad you scored!

The only time I saw the wave of E66 in stores was the time I was lucky enough to find Wolfe, other than spotting a lone Kurt Angle at a Walgreens recently.

Wow - awesome find, especially looking back. That was one I always thought looked great but wasn't collecting at the time. Would still browse the aisles and never saw it, or the Diesel at that time, as I would've grabbed that Diesel even not actively collecting.

Great find for you sir.
Yet another example of the retailer exclusive Chase figure system not working.
