He's been doing the throne thing for thirteen years, I doubt it has anything to do with AEW. On the other hand, he is extremely petty and the timing is quite interesting.

It's quite smart of WWE to use the throne gimmick right after AEW did. It's relevant, and is a simple marketing tool to recognize .

I can’t wait for the day that if AEW doesn’t do well and folds someone will say it’s Triple H’s fault because they were buried by him. lol
I do hope they succeed but you know if they don’t someone will be here saying it’s because Triple H buried them. Then they’ll back it up by saying anyone who is in AEW that was in the WWE was buried so bad by Triple H in the WWE that they were never going to succeed anywhere else. lol

Rhodes' DON entrance was pathetic, quite frankly. Also, you'd have to be pretty naive, to think there's nothing in this - especially as this show, is apparently the day before the Fyter Fest thing.
