So I've been trying to fill the gaps in my Warrior collection and I see on ebay roughly like a dozen 2K14 Warrior's listed. They're all "genuine" according to the sellers, described as prototypes and the like. None of them are boxed, and none of them seem to have the jackets that the actual 1 of 15 Warrior had.
What's the story on these? How come they don't have their jackets? Are they legitimate or custom? Would a random guy even be able to get ahold of one of the jackets separately if they purchased one of the Warriors? How come none of those other rare Warriors seem to be anywhere near this plentiful, I can't see a single one of the others on ebay?
Sorry if this is common knowledge already.

Many figures appeared over the years, most without the jackets. I’ve owned three or four. They’re most likely prototypes. If you need guidance about any specific auctions, pm me. The jackets are nearly impossible to obtain.

Be extra careful buying anything like that on ebay. Exact customs wouldn't be that hard to make if done by the right person.
Look at it this way, if you could earn $400 by making a custom figure, would you?
Im not saying they are all fake. Im not even saying any are. Im saying that ebay is loaded with thieves and scammers and just know what you're buying before you do.
I'd see if there's a certain trademark or something on a real one that cant be duplicated to make sure its real.

The problem with making an exact custom is the head doesn’t exist anywhere other than on this figure. I did cast the head a while back, but don’t know of anyone else who casted it.

I got confused by this too. I ended up just getting Showstopper Customs to make me a replica of it that could pass for legit and I ordered the coat from Ralph’s

I think the guy at the factory "accidentally" made a barrel of "defective" figures. The others had the same thing within years of their release. If it's not in a box, don't buy it basically.

Let’s put it this way,
NO COA = not a legit 1 of 15
With that being said, if you find one with its original jacket, I’d say get it regardless.

Also, if it's brought to you by your truck driving uncle from the USA, it's probably not real. Kidding kidding...but this. So much this. It's gotten to the point with some things that there are certificates of Authenticity by companies and a big reason I BELIEVE for Card Grading is that you want the real thing, not a counterfeit when buying a big money card. When I bought my '86 Fleer Michael Jordan, I wouldn't THINK of buying one that wasn't graded by a reputable source.
