The toy dept is getting reset again in a couple weeks. Won't see any new WWE figures until then.

Is it just my Walmart or has nobody else restocked anything in awhile? I have been to about 10 and they all have nothing I went to almost every Walmart between Miami and Tampa this past Saturday and Sunday because I had to make a trip up there anyway and theres NOTHING aside from a handful of basics and maybe 1 or 2 battle packs. I didnt see even 1 elite new or old.

So far Wal-Mart has completely skipped Elite 66, so it'll be interesting to see if they've just been holding onto them for this rumored upcoming reset or if they do indeed skip it altogether.

I hope Walmart cleans up their act. Its a shame cause I have 7 of them close by if they were well stocked I would hunt more often. I'm tired of going and coming back empty handed. Targets in my area arent the greatest either so I'm stuck with nowhere to go buy. I'll give it until September if it's still the same I'm sticking to Ebay, Amazon, and Ringside and sadly leave figure hunting in the past.

My local Walmart just has a ton of those Mania Battlepacks, a couple racks of basics, some retros and a few elites and that is it.

Hopefully if Walmart’s getting summerslam displays like last year they start hitting soon because they are beyond due to be getting something new in because the whole bare pegs thing is getting old.

It really is a ghost town here. Like I’ve seen it bad before but nothing I can recall has ever been as bad as it is now tho

I was at the same Walmart that I was at a week ago, and the same 3 figures (only have 3 elites top talent) from last time where on the pegs. They hadn’t even been touched. “Damn Walmart you scary!”

I know that overall to them it might not be huge, but to me it's surely a huge amount of money they're just passing on by having empty and/or Nakamura-clogged shelves for a 2-3 month period. Like, I feel like somebody f'ed up majorly, because regardless of whether it's wrestling figure space or potato chip space, dead space in retail is forfeited money, and there's no way the Walton suits would go for (by reports) virtually every store in the country having that much dead space for that long. It seems preposterous, and yet it's happening. And neither option of either sitting out 66 or sitting on it in the warehouses until the SummerSlam displays (assumed) debut makes any sense either. I work midnights and struggle to find anything useful to do on nights off (I don't flip-flop- that ish will kill you), so I'm terribly bitter that there has been zero reason to figure hunt in the middle of the night since I found Sherri months ago. But I still don't think my thinking on this is off/overly biased.

Totally blows my mind that it's acceptable to ANYONE working for Walmart that these products go un-stocked for 2-3 months at a clip. Most Walmart's haven't stocked since the 'Mania shippers in April! Should we still be expecting the Pat Pattersons at Walmart? I did find this at a Walmart over the holiday....... it's a reset paper, so new products should be coming....... but got me thinking - it's such a misfire that someone spends THIS MUCH TIME designing these layouts, only to have the shelves sit empty for MONTHS once the initial shipment runs out (which is usually pretty quickly - like 3-4 days)! Really guys - it's not worth all this trouble to lay this out when the shelves are empty 90% of the time! I've also seen them prepare for a reset - then proceed to get products in 1 case at a time (over WEEKS) & the shelves AGAIN - never appear full....... so this sheet isn't worth the paper it's printed on........ I have yet to see a Walmart fully stocked with WWE products..... And just like the member above - I've had the "itch" to go figure-hunting a couple times lately - then I remember, there aren't any figures to be found & there's no point.......

I enjoy action figure hunting at retail. It is fun, it relieves boredom and stress, and nothing compared to going into a store and finding what you've been seeking. I don't want that to go away.
I echo the feelings above, every square foot of your store that isn't for foot traffic and ease of movement should be merchandised always. Whether paying rent or if you already own the building it simply doesn't make sense to let shelves stand empty for such long periods of time. A few days ago I went in one of the local walmarts and it had a sign over the action figure aisles specifically that said something to the effect of "The World's Greatest Toy Shop". I think it was toy story branded but the sentiment still felt like a middle finger as I looked at Wasp and Gwenpool Marvel Legends, thick layers of dust on the Star Wars Black series Solo wave, and zero elites. Fear not, Toy Story 4 merch was full on every peg and literally spilling into the floor and over the boxes of other toy brands.

Fear not, Toy Story 4 merch was full on every peg and literally spilling into the floor and over the boxes of other toy brands. It amazes me how poorly the toy section is maintained at Walmarts and Targets compared to other departments. If they are low on yogurt or cat food, it's pretty much a lock that those rows will be filled the next day. Yet toy isles have entire stretches of poorly stocked or completely barren store space. I'm sure they don't have the same rate of sale as other products, but it just seems like a wasted opportunity. And yet every store in my area is nearly identical. A few TT AJ's, and either NXT Rusev or some retros, depending on whether it's Walmart or Target. Black Series pegs are filled with the same 3-4 characters from movies that came out a year and a half to two years ago. Marvel Legends have enough Ant Man and Wasps to make a whole hive. Meanwhile, none of the 8 Targets in my area carried the ML Endgame figures, the second highest grossing movie of all time. The X-Men wave has been nearly impossible to find here. And one peg will be filled with shelfwarmers, while the peg next to it sits completely empty. It's not just a Mattel issue. But I think it's safe to say that the big box retailers have failed if they were trying to pick up the market segment that was left behind when TRU closed.

I agree with all these statements is baffling that Walmart would actually prefer to have bare pegs for months on end instead of simply putting in an order to receive more stock.

Resets don't mean automatic filled pegs. Something needs to change soon. Anyone who goes to this year's sdcc, 1st question asked should be why stores have empty pegs. When they reply it's up to the stores to order more product, tell them "BS".

"Yes are company is a sinking ship with incompetent idiots in charge." "Yes distribution has been awful, and no we are not doing anything to improve it." What needs to change is the company that makes wwe toys. There needs to be a clean break and Hasbro is the best realistic replacement.

Mattel cannot tell Walmart how to stock their toys anymore than Russell Athletic can tell them how to stock their clothing.

Wonder why Bill was asking us to take photos of our stores to "help with distribution".
But remember Mattel has nothing to do with stores receiving their product...
