I wonder how many stores will they have though. They might have to start with 20 and then rebuild from there.

But the article gives off the impression that there could be small pop up stores. I'm thinking it will be very similar to a TRU Express an outlet mall had by me. It was probably a little bigger than an old KB Toys (when they were in malls across America) and had activity stations and demonstration stations and then maybe 6 rows of packed toys. The WWE section was comprised of 3 columns, Marvel Legends 3 columns, Pokemon 3 columns, etc. I imagine the same here.

It's literally being run by the same executives that closed the old one while giving themselves huge bonuses and screwing over countless long term employees, tons of toy companies, and running a once thriving brand into the ground.
I'm not really seeing a good reason to give them any of my money.

I don't know, as I've literally collected everyone made in Elite form, but even if I did, I'd realize how much it sucks and wouldn't purchase anything else while I was there.

Gotta start somewhere. Hopefully they've learned from past mistakes and they hit the ground running.

Not too sure about this. "Small scale", "1/3 the size"? Sounds like something that's bound for failure like a new KB Toys. I hope they do come back full force, but it remains to be seen. Most of us will probably have to travel 2 hours or more to reach the closest one.

I hope they do well and can re-open some stores in the UK. I drove past one a couple days ago. Was massive but completely deserted. I got really excited when I saw the TRU sign at first and then I remembered they were out of business lol

I'm cautiously optimistic. The old TRU here still hasn't had any tenants since it closed down, maybe it could come back? I'm not holding my breath but if it's a success, well that's fantastic news. Like other said, hopefully whoever's in charge learned a lesson about running a retail store.

Handsome One and my TRU just became a Reymour and Flanagan outlet a few weeks ago. Optimistic this will be a good thing for collectors.

Leave the memories alone, let it stay dead till someone serious buys the brand to repackage it the right way

It would be nice to see tru back even in a smaller store setting. Not getting my hopes up about them being any different than target or walmart with carrying wwe figures though. These two retailers are terrible so doubt tru would be any better. It would at least be another place that might carry them.

I think there's a place of them but at least here the rents are so high it's not worth having almost a warehouse full of toys that probably don't sell. I also hope they don't go back into Video games since I just don't think it did well. In the UK they were so overpriced for older games but did do a couple of exclusive items so not too sure how well they did.
