I am still trying to get a full set of mint WCW Galoob figures. The Double A bald spot variant is something I really didn’t put any attention to until two have popped up on the bay. Ironically one has a painted on spot, the other one has a non painted spot, therefore at least one has to be a fake. I was wondering if anybody could post a pic of a genuine one. Painting a bald spot on a figure or removing paint is quickly done and sone people wouldn’t mind to if it adds a few bucks to their wallet. Any help how to seperate the real from fake would be highly appreciated.

Yes, I know. But which one is the true variant?

Yes, I know. But which one is the true variant? They're both real.

Bald spot Anderson was the 1st release on single and tag team sets. Bald spot was painted on for later releases.

Yes, I know. But which one is the true variant? They're both real. I know the the painted „brown hair“ on the bald spot is a true variant. Whst I am wondering is, if the bald spit variant has a painted on bald spot or an unpainted bald spot. There are currently two auctions that claim to offer a bald spit variant - one with a skintone painted bald spot (which looks more or less authentic to me) and one that looks to have removed the brown paint (which I guess is fake). Now I only need to know if the painted on bald spot in that auction is custom made or authentic... (Ohmy that was confusing lol)

I THINK he's trying to say it appears that someone painted flesh tone where the "bald spot" should be and he's asking if the real bald spot version has flesh paint or unpainted tan plastic on the head.

The Arn Anderson I had as a kid had the bald spot on it. But the bald spot was paint. Because it was chipping a way a bit and I could see the skin tone plastic underneath. I thought that was so weird that they'd pain the skin tone a fleshy colour for the bald spot, when they could have left it as just the regular plastic of the figure.

So it is tan painted over tan skin without brown paint in between?!

Pretty much!
It's like if you put skin colour paint over the flesh colour action figure. It just seems so random. They didn't have to paint that area at all, for it would have made more sense to leave it not painted so the top of his head matched the rest of the figure for skin tone.
