Everywhere I go I see comments from fans who believe that AEW will put WWE out of business and how they will effect the company. However the only issue I can see with AEW is NXT.
Look back at the past few years of NXT. You had Balor, Joe, Nakamura, Owens, Zayn, Roode and currently The Undisputed Era. Now the star power from those guys have helped make NXT the success that it is today but with AEW things may differ.
Think about it if AEW sign popular Indy guys that will leave NXT without star power. I am not dismissing the fact that WWE will always sign young talent but would they be enough to draw fans to NXT?

there are currently less people making a living performing professional wrestling than there has ever been post 1950. another company will only strengthen the potential of more people joining in wrestling and therefore a more immense talent pool.
nxt will be fine. they have an excellent system, and while they may have relied on Indy names, they’ve also developed their fair share of talent as well.

I would say the mid 2000s from 2003-2007, there were less people making a living doing pro wrestling. The WWE had just put WCW out of business and they werent interested in independent wrestlers, just cleanshaven, bodybuilding pretty boys. Nowadays, the WWE is signing anybody with a slight name from indies or Japan and having open tryouts in Europe, India and Middle East.

If push comes to shove, and NXT does lose some talent, they could merge NXT, UK, & 205 Live into one mega show. Add that with a few main roster talents that are lingering, and they'd be more than fine.

Add that with a few main roster talents that are lingering, and they'd be more than fine. That would be the best option for WWE to do, because at this point NXT is Undisputed Era and the brand will suffer drastically if the end up moving to Raw or Smackdown.

AEW is great, but not a full time company.
they legit produce more t-shirts than wrestling matches.

For a wrestling company that has had one PPV (two if you wanna count All In last September) you would that they were the greatest wrestling promotion out there with how the AEW fans talk about it.
AEW is ROH only with lots of money!
There, I said it. And I dare anyone to disagree with that remark.

Threads like this on the WWE board just serve as a cesspool for people to make over the top remarks either side of the spectrum. Completely pointless

AEW has it's own board and you knew that so you went out of your way to make it about WWE just to get people going on here or?
I predict this thread being the most action the WWE board sees for the week and eventually getting locked.

WWE is fine.
NXT is fine.
Neither will be affected any more then Impact or ROH have affected them. (Or is it effected? I never can get those words right)

WWE is a billion dollar global conglomerate juggernaut.
AEW is a company that sells t-shirts and puts on indie supershows every few months that may or may not be paying for their time slot on TNT.
I think WWE will be just fine. Will they lose some NXT talent to AEW? Undoubtedly. But they'll do what they always do whenever NXT loses talent -- usually to the main roster or injury -- replace them with another indie darling.

It would be a good thing for NXT to focus on making stars, rather than “here’s indie wrestler #457! Ooh, Kassius Ohno isn’t happy that this guy is here!”
More Velveteen Dreams, please.

It's actually the complete opposite of your very first sentence. tell me how so? sure, there’s a lot of people grinding with multiple jobs that have spots on indies. but in terms of the amount of people who are actually making living wages by being a professional wrestler? you can’t really suggest that there is near that many professional wrestlers making their living in the United States as there was during the territory days when nearly every state had a thriving promotion, the first wwf boom, or the late 90s where people’s appetite was insatiable for anything wrestling. perhaps i’m wrong, as you’re suggesting. I’m interested in your take on it.
