AEW have now gotten nearly 400,000 and nearly 700,000 views based on two different specials that aired. I’d say they’d easily get a million views on TV tonight but what if NXT wasn’t on tonight as well? They’d have a good shot at hitting 2million plus.
Either way there’s no point trying to compete to be on WWE’s level but it is nice to see a lil small bit of ‘competition’.

I just don't want to see Nyla Rose become the 1st Women's Champion, nothing against transgender people but Rose is just out of shape and hard to look at in the ring.

More viewers doesn’t necessary mean a show is better. The Game of Thrones season 8 finale got 13.6 million viewers and that episode sucked ass. I wish people would try to enjoy something without making it a competition 😴

I think it's cool that aew won though. It's just one week I know, but people wrote off AEW as a T-shirt company and they blow a show that has the wwe machine behind it out of the water. I hope they don't get too arrogant like wcw did. Omega needs to keep his mouth shut and not say the stupid things like he did recently.

I don't want to see any of them go out of business. Competition is good for wrestling.

I personally enjoyed NXT more than AEW. Im also surprised NXTs ratings were that low. I thought the ratings would be close with AEW winning by a couple thousand viewers. Like i said earlier, the bigger story is the ratings a month from now. This is just week 1.

I like Dustin Rhodes and Chris Jericho in AEW. They both have great promo skills.

AEW’s ratings was defo impressive. Take out NXT they’d have smoothly gotten around 2/2.2 million viewers easily.
Wednesday nights are now bringing in 2million plus wrestling fans 😂 who’d ever thought would ever happen?

Cr@p! I just read that Ciampa was on NXT this week at the very end. I missed it because my DVR wasn’t in sync with the cable box time. From the video i just saw it looks like it shut off 20 seconds before he came out.

AEW wins week 1 of the war? Jericho's reaction, probably: courtesy of this person's video:

Not surprised. I’m a lifelong WWE and NXT fan and will always support them ..... BUT there’s a homogenized, sterilized stink on WWEs product that can’t shake from the subconscious. When you see people on the other side not reading off scripted lines and not shoving a face that people clearly people boo or vice versa, there is a different vibe. It reminds me of what I enjoy about wrestling to begin with. It’s like having a hot girlfriend that tries to control you vs a hot girlfriend that is cool and let’s you do what you want. Sitting down at dinner, it may look the same to a bystander but you can just feel the difference in how it actually plays out

I'm not up to date with NXT so can't comment here, but the most refreshing thing for me with AEW is that the fans actually sound like they want to be there and are interested. So much better than a dead ass Raw crowd.
