AEW reportedly had around 1 million views and NXT 750,000 views this week. AEW lost about a third of their viewers after the first week.
I'm assuming this is normal losing viewers after a "pilot" episode.

While I still enjoyed it AEW wasn’t nearly as good as it was last week.

Not surprised. I’m a lifelong WWE and NXT fan and will always support them ..... BUT there’s a homogenized, sterilized stink on WWEs product that can’t shake from the subconscious. When you see people on the other side not reading off scripted lines and not shoving a face that people clearly people boo or vice versa, there is a different vibe. It reminds me of what I enjoy about wrestling to begin with. It’s like having a hot girlfriend that tries to control you vs a hot girlfriend that is cool and let’s you do what you want. Sitting down at dinner, it may look the same to a bystander but you can just feel the difference in how it actually plays out Love this analogy

Exactly, I'm interested in seeing how the ratings will look nice baseball is over and Wednesday are the dead day of the week for TV. Should see a spike.

While I still enjoyed it AEW wasn’t nearly as good as it was last week. I dunno, I thought Private Party vs. Young Bucks was fire. That match pretty much made Private Party and established them as a force and top team. Also, Jericho delivered one of the best promos of his career.

As long as AEW continues the replay at 10, I will watch NXT live and give them my ratings. Every vote counts. I've been an NXT fan longer than AEW, so I'll stay true

Ratings for the first few weeks are completely irrelevant. Give it a month or two, let the "new" wear off and see where they stand. Im willing to be they will be rather neck and neck week in and week out but the ratings will be a lot lower then most would seem now (750k-1m)

In a nice way it allows me to not actually have to pick a side to 'vote' for, since they aren't actually head to head here.

I watch AEW Dynamite every week live and I enjoy the show more then NXT. AEW isn't minor league according to Mr. Becky Lynch opps Seth Rollins. NXT needs to get out Full Sail next year. My wife enjoys AEW more than WWE lately.

This reminds me of football fans saying the best college team can beat the worst professional team. No, they can't. One exception to this was when the college all-stars beat the Dream Team during a scrimmage before the Olympics. Do you know what happened the very next time they faced each other??

Casual fans will watch Jericho, Cody, etc.
They wont watch breezango, or whatever new awful gimmick nxt has.
AEW will probably always win the ratings because of this alone. Hardcore fans may adore nxt, but it's literally the farm system of wwe. Bowling would probably get higher ratings than minor league baseball too. Star power lacks.
It's not gonna be a popular opinion, but its how it is.

I am an AEW homer for sure, but NXT also rules. I find neither to be minor league. And honestly, the majority of those 2 rosters are probably friends and wouldn't want to harm the other, as in the case of a demolishing.

It's great for wrestlers in terms of contracts, leverage, etc.

So AEW is 2-0 vs NXT? So.. AEW’s top show with their top guys are barely beating WWE developmental? Good for them.

I’ve been tuning in to strictly AEW. I’ll flip on NXT for the overrun.
While NXT is great and all, it’s still NXT. I didn’t tune in when it was on the WWE Network (unless a match got a lot of buzz, then I’d go out of my way to watch after the fact). I’m a fan of guys like Gargano, Cole, Ciampa and now Balor, it’s just too much WWE in one week and I guess that’s why AEW is a breath of fresh air for a lot of people. I’ll still watch the TakeOvers.

Is USA a "developmental" network? seriously. and last I checked, most here felt NXT had the better regular programming to raw or smack down. people just cannot give credit where it’s due around here for AEW.

Who gives a sht who broadcasts it. NXT is WWE developmental. Product quality doesn’t matter. What station It’s on doesn’t matter. Bottom line is it is WWE developmental.
