Tommy Dreamer podcast, he talks about depression and a WWE story that would have changed everything in a bad way. His WWE story starts around the 20 minute mark. art19.com/shows/11392614-4c96-42b1-a8c3-1dd61f55f12c/embed?playlist_type=playlist&playlist_size=10#a couple takeaways With his wrestling history and the stories he tells, you have to think he probably has CTE, yet he's very, very cognizant and you wouldn't know just by listening to him talk. I'd also like a Paul Heyman response to his story now.... if you don't want to listen to it, in a nutshell Dreamer talks about his issue with Heyman at the time ECW folded. Dreamer wasn't in WWE at the time and was depressed. He was in Houston during the time Wrestlemania was there and saw a sign that said the venue allowed firearms. And he had this recurring thought, to off Heyman and himself at the event. Of course on one hand, you could say it's just a story. But with his history, and other stories he talks about when he was younger, who knows how far he could have taken it. I listened to it and thought how insane it was and how it would have completely changed wrestling history.

I can think of one thing it wouldn't have changed, but I'm not gonna mention it on here.

For the sake of it, let's say yes. The topic of which must not be referenced is Tommy's gargantuan, mammoth-sized posterior lmao

It amazes me that Paul Heyman has been allowed to make so much money from wrestling over the last 18 years after doing so much financial damage to his wrestlers. I guess it ultimately gives in to the cult like following he had from his wrestlers. He probably could have gotten any number of his guys to just jump off a bridge on his say so. Some had nothing to lose and everything to gain, sadly. He's just a sports entertainment version of a Bernie Madoff or Jim Jones. And to me it goes to show these wrestling figures who believe their own hype how little importance they are to the non-wrestling world and if they were Heyman, and even his new co-hire Eric Bischoff would be indicted on financial fraud of some sort for the destruction they did during their time as figure heads of their companies.

that would have been a very dark moment during what many consider the climax event of the attitude era. I feel that it would have brought a lot of the negative publicity on the sport similar to the Benoit tragedy years later.
Paul certainly got what he paid for and then some from his performers.

I dont blame Tommy at all for the way he felt. As much as I like Heyman the promo, Heyman the human being is such a lowlife swindler.

Hopefully wwe does not let him in an arena ever again. Cannot allow that sort of risk.

I'd been corresponding with a handler of his and he's currently way worse than he lets on.

Tommy Dreamer strikes me as the next Chris Benoit... He seems to be desperate to stay relevant, always piggy backing from other legends and current stars... I mean look at his wife, what else would you want?

I mean look at his wife, what else would you want? This post kind of stung, even though I know many probably feel this way. Maybe a different view of Dreamer might help some see how important he is to the wrestling community at large, and especially his fans. Dreamer is one that has helped so many talents, young and old, and loves wrestling ten fold. I don't think he is going the way of Benoit, but might need some help mentally. The man is a legend and has done it all. He will always be relevant to his fans and those that appreciate what he did and does, and it kind of hurts to see him dissed and almost a coat tail rider. His ECW stuff gave life to a different take on wrestling for me as a kid, and opened me up to the world outside of WWF and WCW. I am a Dreamer mark for life and am thankful we have him still out there helping out. VPV

I am just saying he seems mentally unstable... Chody Rhodes if you don't see the link between admitting to conspiring to murder-suicide and the Benoit thing than I guess you skipped the whole thing... Benoit also thought about it and went through with it. (Hence the resemblance except Dreamer, thank fully did not do it) Also I agree with vampiroporvida he is a legend and has done so much, I am a fan, hence why I wish he just hung the boots up and accepted his age, could be helping a lot more if he just accepted he was never main event or the need to stay relevant. Retirement is the same in all industries, some cannot wait some do not want to cause they fear their legacy will be forgotten...

After Raw, Tony Khan's probably gonna offer him enough cash to fund House of Hardcore until 2035 to finish the job so AEW can win the war.

I never liked him, his persona rubs me the wrong way. Thats bc he looks like he belongs on Trailer Park Boys. He's literally the worst fashion choices rolled into one man. First, nobody looks good with a stand-alone goatee unless they're bald like Stone Cold or Goldberg. Second, what is with those leather pants he wears? Is he here to fight or salsa? Next, you got whatever T shirt he grabbed from the local hot topic before his match to cover his manly breasts and finally, that haircut. I'm honestly convinced he was born with that haircut. Tldr; he's done the same crap the same way, in the same outfit for the last 30+ years.
