Just got done watching Fyter Fest. Overall a solid show. Enjoyed it for the most part, though I did identify a few problems. Here's a few notes I made throughout the show regarding my personal opinions. Although it may seem like I'm complaining more than anything, if I enjoyed something, I won't have felt the need to comment on it:
- It seems that every single tag team match is trying to steal the show. I get that they want to show what they can do, but you can't have every single match stealing the show. Big move kickouts are only effective when used sparingly, and so far in AEW, they're ridiculously overused in tag matches, and they've only done 2 shows!
- It's not clear which teams are face and which are heel. They need to clearly define it for those of us unfamiliar with these teams, rather than leaving us guessing. Almost every single tag team who wrestled at either Double or Nothing or Fyter Fest suffer from this problem.
- The librarian gimmick sucks and makes no sense. Any involvement from either of the two sharing the gimmick is incredibly cringeworthy and makes me want to switch off.
- Two too many Bayley rip-offs. There was Kylie Rae at Double or Nothing, and Allie at Fyter Fest seems to have the same character, judging by her entrance.
- First match (on the main show) is far too early for a finisher kick-out.
- MJF's promo was great!
- It's not just tag teams that suffer from clear alignment issues. Cody seems to have flip flopped from heel to face in both of his AEW matches! Had no idea if Darby Allin was supposed to be a face or heel either. They really need to fix this, it's a big problem.

ing hell, that chair shot!!! Complete shock for Shawn Spears to turn heel in such a major way! The aftermath was absolutely brutal!! I really don't get why MJF would be out there to check on Cody and support him, given his supposedly egotistical character, which up until now has been presented as a rich snob who only cares for himself. Massive lack of logic there.
- That 6 Man Tag match was awesome!

ing hell, that Unsanctioned match was disgustingly brutal! Some hard to watch spots. I was able to sit through it though, despite minor discomfort. I've never been a fan of hardcore wrestling, but I couldn't miss Moxley's AEW debut match. That Kenny Omega post-match brawl was fantastic!
