Finally received and opened my Diesel and this dude is atrocious...His goatee painting is way off center, he has black marks on his torso as well as painting issues around the neck area of the singlet (which the singlet also has painting issues at the neck area and wavy straps) plus the painted on elbow pad bleeds into his arm...His torso is off color but that happens with alot of these retros...Talk about frustrating...

I ordered my Diesel from RSC, ordered the normal one but got one with a damaged card. Odd because RSC charged less for the damaged card ones but mine was thankfully well painted.

Mine were ok. Far from perfect. I recently sold off my complete set of series 1-10 MOC. I hated worrying about card conditions. I am going to list my loose set as well. I have been cured of the retro bug.

I have been cured of the retro bug. Might be wise to wait a week before selling any Retros. If we find out at Comic Con the line isn’t continuing you can likely expect a quick secondary market demand jump.

Sorry to hear that. Card condition & paint jobs have been an ongoing issue. Buying them at an actual store is the best way to go, but finding a current series (8-10) is almost impossible. I normally order multiple sets and sell off the ones that aren't in nm shape. Pain in the butt, but sadly that's what it has come down to.

I struggle here.the distribution has been abysmal, and I’ve only seen FOUR of these series in stores with my own eyes. And that includes visiting retail regularly while out of state. The quality control has been terrible. On one hand I want just a few more key retros like Hollywood Hogan, Anvil, and Loose cannon pillman, and on the other hand I am kinda out of patience and done being a completist here. Either commit all the way, or put this line out if it’s misery.

That's why I can't figure why Mattel can't churn out 4 lousy Retro figures every 2-3 months, all year long, like Basics and Elites Heck, Basics and Elites are normally 5-6 different figures per series as well.

Typical QC issues with mass produced products.

Quality control is like that across the board. That's why if I order online, I try to order multiples, pick the best one, and return the other(s). And in store, I'll carefully examine them all to make sure I get one without any defects or bad paint jobs.

It happens.
Actual QC would be a safety issue

Typical QC issues with mass produced products. Didn't seem to be as big of an issue with Hasbros.

Either commit all the way, or put this line out if it’s misery. It was brought up in other threads, but I think the key to distribution would be to have 8 guys per series and just one of each per shipping box. Then stores wouldn't get backlogged with one set of 4 guys so quickly.

This is my thought too. I would be more likely to lose intrest if we find out it's done and we only ever got a handful of guys to really add to my Hasbro collection. Like what's the point of NWO Macho w/out anybody else from the NWO? And Sting w/out any other WCW guys and so on.

Mine was pretty messed up too... very disappointed. I’ll probably try to tidy it up with a bit of customizing 😁

It's hard when most of these figures are only easily seen online, so you cant pick from the lot.
