Undertaker in 2001 is a great shout. I was blown away by this turn....it really was outta the blue. The biker hadn't been heel since his return and this 9 month stretch of him being a heel was some great stuff.

HHH's turn @ WM15 is criminally underrated. Absolutely NOBODY seen it coming after Chyna defected back to DX from the Corp Team earlier in the night. Chyna's turn threw everyone off the scent completely...He was probably the 2nd most over huy on the roster after Austin & his heel turn would lead to one of the greatest runs any wrestler has ever had from April 99 right through to him tearing his quad in 2001. It was so well executed.... Undertaker in 1998: A great "slow burn heel turn".....the signs were there from the HIAC match as the Undertaker was more ruthless & wicked than we ever seen him....then he started acting more Cold until finally he turned after Summerslam 98. great stuff. 100% agreed. I remember being so happy when Chyna turned on Kane and seemingly reunited with DX. Then, Chyna AND Triple H turn on X-Pac. I was so bummed out, but looking back that one was done exceptionally well even more so because both turns happened within an hour of each other. Apologies if it was already mentioned, but another big one for me was when Paul Bearer aligned with Mankind and turned on The Undertaker. That one totally shocked me as I thought they were inseparable. Diesel also had a very slow, but well-built face turn in 1994. HBK was hogging their spotlight and kept accidentally superkicking Diesel which cost him some big matches. Then at Survivor Series, their team was about to sweep Razor's squad when it happened again. Diesel played that part so well like "Enough of that, I'm kicking your ass." The crowd could sense what was happening and they were going wild. The rest of that story is history with Diesel winning the World title a few days later. Doink's face turn was terrible.

The Rock post Summerslam 98 - Survivor Series 98 brief Face Turn. He got red hot out of seemingly no where and quickly became the 2nd biggest face in the company.

I'll also throw out Diesels slow burn heel turn starting with attacking Bret post match at SSeries 95 leading to him becoming tweener before the full blown turn at the Rumble in which he attacked Taker.

Survivor Series 2001 to Vengeance 2001.
Chris Jericho's Heel turn. Stone Cold Steve Austin's Face turn. The Rock's no turn. Kurt Angle's U-turn.
This is just my favorite time period of all time, so I'm going to bring this up at every chance I get.

Oct 24, 1986. Nikita Koloff is revealed to be Dusty Rhodes' tag team partner against Ole Anderson & JJ Dillon.
I still remember the pop from the crowd when Koloff hesitated & then attacked Anderson.
God, I miss JCP.

Tatanka heel turn at SummerSlam 94 was underrated. As a 9 year old, I did not see it coming!

Tatanka heel turn at SummerSlam 94 was underrated. As a 9 year old, I did not see it coming! I thought he'd be a babyface for life so yeah the heel turn was surprising. Even though he really did nothing note in the role,I gotta give credit for them trying something different with his character.
