No joke! I had no clue how grossly disproportionate it is until now. How much longer can that sustain though? Like, that's a finite pool and a dead end customer as far as selling product goes. Will most bolt when they finally get their Hercules and Hollywood Hogan? Or will the obsession become the next most obscure guy? I mean, if Greg Valentine got made (and don't get me wrong, I have mad respect for The Hammer) and people are cheering the arrival of the monumental waste of space Viscera, does it now step down yet another rung? Then will requests for guys who have been on the current roster for 2 years have to compete with ubiquitous calls for Red Tyler or Kurrgan or Barry Horowitz? That also makes me genuinely wonder how well the demo/interests of the board users here compares with that of the figure-buying public at large. There's always going to be someone people clamor for. Don't me wrong though, there's absolutely nothing wrong with releasing flashback figures and especially one like Chyna. But some of the flashbacks they do and the excitement some have for them is kind of shocking to me. Then again, I didn't become a wrestling fan until late 2002 and don't have the connection to those who came before my time like others do. So, I'm sure there's people I'd be intrigued by that others aren't who stopped watching the product.
I'm sure people who buy figures that either aren't on internet forums or are on different forums/outlets have more interest in current wrestlers than some do here. For as many flashback only collectors or as many who are sick of Balor/Rollins/Styles, there's going to be just as many like myself who will buy every Balor/Rollins/Styles they put out.
I actually had no idea the proportion of flashback/current collectors on here was SO drastic.

I picked 10 but I'm really just hyped for Elite Hurricane and Anvil.

After my votes, you've gotta go to 13th place for the first non-flashback figure (Johnny Gargano). That's the demo of this board, in case anyone was wondering lol. I voted for 1 flashback.. Brood Christian. No joke! I had no clue how grossly disproportionate it is until now. How much longer can that sustain though? Like, that's a finite pool and a dead end customer as far as selling product goes. Will most bolt when they finally get their Hercules and Hollywood Hogan? I think you may be slightly overlooking how many flashback guys we don’t have. Could keep me on the hook for years more with plenty of guys I’d still buy. Just off my head Strikers Test Buff Sabu Dynamite Haku Barbarian Al snow Steve Blackman Kama Val Venis Mountie Koko One man gang Zeus Billy Graham Jesse Ventura Repo man Smoking Gunn’s 90’s Lawler Dino Bravo Eric bischoff Tazz Slick Jim Cornette Albert Justin credible Dreamer Sandman I could go on but you get the point. None of these are Barry Horowitz level jobbers, some harder to make than others but then again so was Chyna until this week. There’s lots more they can do for us.

A lot of those I didn’t think of. Some, like Val Venus and Test, I hope to never think of again. Sabu is my favorite wrestler of all time so I’ll back you on that one especially. I don’t think I expressed it properly, but moreso than who all might be left, I was curious whether there will be a consensus fervor like there seems/seemed to be for Hammer and Hollywood.

Since I consider my “golden-age of wrestling “ 1977-1999 my picks are kinda skewed that way. However I probably have 25 figures on this list that would want to buy eventually.

Depends on if they have another big gap between flashbacks like they did awhile back perhaps. Constant supply keeps most happy.

Rick Rude Danny Davis Gorilla Freddie Blassie Muraco Jim Niedhart Greg Valentine Vince McMahon Viscera Pretty much the only figures revealed I’ll try and get. I hope these aren’t as hard to find as Sherri. Is the Danny Davis BAF? Or regular Elite?

I’ll have to get him somehow because I ain’t buying any of those figures in the set.

Chyna far and beyond anyone else. But besides her, Viscera is another huge want of mine and it looks incredible. Game hHh is long overdue and again it looks amazing. Early crow Sting might have been the other most surprising for me other than Chyna and I'll definitely be getting that one too.
Overall, great showing by Mattel and I'm honestly looking forward to a lot of what they previewed.
Edit: Forgot The Hurricane! Can't wait for that.

My first priorities are Don Muraco and Greg Valentine. I'd like to have everyone from the 10-man elimination matches from Survivor Series 87 eventually.
Priorities from the list:
1) Don Muraco 2) Greg Valentine 3) Fred Blassie 4) Gorilla Monsoon 5) Slim Jim Macho 6) Vince McMahon 7) Rick Rude (already have 3 of him) 9) Jim Neidhart (already have 2 of him) 8) Mr. Perfect (already have 2 of him) 9) Early Crow Sting

Really? What era(s) do you collect? I don't collect eras, I collect wrestlers I like. And the Gargano is painfully disappointing. Adam Cole is alright, but the 3-pack one is just fine as it is.
