Found one today in Burbank. Noticed an unopened case on the pallets or tomorrow and an employee was nice enough to open it for me. I didn’t even remember it was a thing. I was hoping to find chase Mabel.

by now it feels like Mattel and co. are doing this on purpose, they must realise they are losing money here too and get PP and the rest on RSC like Alexander Wolfe or step up the production on a figure(s) THAT DO SELL, it brings back Tickle Me Elmo memories... (ya'll probs too young to remember that one)
So come on MATTEL!!!! #GetSMart

I don't get the complaints from people that "mattel know what they're doing" in not fulfilling the demand.
The problem with figures like this is that it's an unknown how well (or otherwise) they will do as they're such niche figures.
If they produced normal quantities and it warned shelves people complain it's taking up valuable real estate. If they don't do enough, people claim they're "doing it on purpose"
They're screwed either way and people will moan. It's not an exact science and there is no calculation mattel can do so they get 1 for everyone who wants one without leaving any surplus left over to shelf warm.
But at the end of the day they're a business and want to make profit and mattel don't benefit from people reselling for 10x RRP online etc therefore the will produce the number of figures for the market they believe to be there. Sometimes, they may be off.

I have money to play around with these scalpers on ebay. Make em pay shipping on returns and crease to boxes up when I send em back. Screw em So you’re telling me you’re going to ruin someone else’s item and them of their money for the sole reason because they sell it for a higher price than they bought it for. Do you know ignorant that sounds. Like wow. They are scalpers guys, not murderers. It is completely up to the customer if they want to pay that price or not. No one is forcing anything . Yup. Hopefully puts a little doubt in their mind for next time or stressed them out a little bit

Go ahead claim damage then the seller says it was damaged in transit take up the issue with the post office. Then u get nothing and have a damaged figure. Ur only sticking it to yourself with this plan.

I’m really thankful that I don’t need to do stuff like this and don’t have the need for extra money like you do. I feel bad for you man I do. I wasn’t aware that we have a billionaire that posts on wrestlingfigs. So there’s no middle of the lane here? Either you scalp figures or you’re rich ? I forget that children post here

I forget that children post here You said you can’t use nor need extra money. Who wouldn’t want extra money? Also the demographic here is adults, not kids. I know you haven’t been here very long, but this forum is 90% adult collectors.

I don’t spend outside my means. I get paid very well from my career and yet again I do not need to scalp figures to make “extra cash”. I’m not sure what is hard to understand about that unless you’re a child who has no concept of what it is like to have a career and to work hard.

Nobody is forcing you to pay scalper prices, but not everyone who sells is jobless or lives in their mother’s basement.

Stop assuming everyone who makes some extra cash is jobless or lives in their mother’s basement. If I come across a figure that I know collectors are looking for, I grab it and sell it for a fair price. I don’t technically “need” the money, but if I know I can help a collector out and make some extra money that’s what I do. No reason for my bank account to not continue to grow.

Shippers better pay that insurance I don’t know about anyone else, but I, for one, would like to see a screenshot of your Ebay dashboard. Help me understand... you buy figures you deem “scalped,” receive them, damage the package, then return the figure? I’m calling BS on that story. If it were to be true, this is how you spend your time? You’re a wrestling figure Robin Hood. 🙄

If you have that kind of time and put that kind of effort into scalping it really makes me wonder what else a person could be doing to actually improve their life instead of hustling on eBay. Also I never mentioned that a person who does this lives in their mothers basement...please don’t project your insecurities on me. I’m sure you’re going to keep this going because you like the other “adults” must have a tremendous amount of time on your hands when you aren’t seeking to make “extra cash” but I don’t. Have a good weekend kid.

Have a good weekend kid. So because you lose an argument I have too much time on my hands? Actually I’m about to eat breakfast and have a pretty productive day ahead. Once again a concept a close-minded individual like yourself can’t seem to understand. Once again not everyone spends hours tracking down a figure to throw on eBay. Sure there is a decent sized portion of people who don’t shower and go out stinky to figure hunt all day. Then there are the people who just enjoy the hunt and if they find extras along the way they help others out by saving them time, gas, and the potential headache of the hunt. It’s your choice to pay those prices or not. Nobody is keeping it going, just wanted to show you how close-minded you are. Good that you have great pride for being an adult though. Didn’t know you were the only adult here with a career that pays their bills. Lastly, no insecurities on my end because I don’t and haven’t lived with my mom in years, nor did I ever “live in her basement”.

Have a good weekend kid. Every figure I've sold has been found in the same exact manner in which I've found any I've kept - either over the weekend, before work when I happen to get into town a bit early, or on my lunch break. It's not really a time consuming endeavor - no more than tracking down figures for my own collection, anyway. It's all time and place.
