Playing devil's advocate here - so how do I get figures like Sensational Sherri, King Harley (and FB Jake and Steamboat) etc. if not for scalpers/paying an inflated secondary-market price?
I mean, it would be nice if sellers just listed them at cost-price (or a little more) - but that's never going to happen in the real world... especially when it comes to limited/hard-to-find figures: it's basic supply and demand.
Sure, there will be people who say "then just do without the figure" - but why should I if I can afford it (and have collected every other Flashback in the line since it began)? This is my main hobby and at the end of the day, life's too short... I wanted Sherri, Harley etc. so I paid the going-rate for them on the secondary market.
I'm happy I have the figures... evil scalper man is happy he's made a nice profit... and the world keeps on turning.

We've had Elite 68 here in Canada for weeks, but no sign of Patterson...I guess we won't be getting any of the Walmart exclusives here.

Check the Canada board, Backlund has been spotted at TRU.
If TRU will be getting the store exclusives insted of Walmart then that is great news as they do a much better job keeping shelves stocked with new product than crappy Walmart.

I know he has...But that Elite series is in TRU and not Walmart. Being that E68 is in Walmart, and not TRU, I doubt we'll be getting Patterson.

We have the SummerSlam basics here, but not the elites yet. For those that have the elites where they are, did you get the basics in stock beforehand? If so, how far in advance did you get the basics before you got the elites?

If so, how far in advance did you get the basics before you got the elites? I think just this past week there were reports of Basic 97 at Walmart. Then over the last few days reports started of E68. So not too far in advance.

I just found basic 98 at 3 different Walmart’s today in MN. I was shocked as hell. I picked up Nese and Ruby. I went in looking for E68 but didn’t find any at the 5 Walmart’s I visited today

Almost every wal mart in my area is up to 8 elites. I went to 2 that did not have any on the floor and got zero help from the associates there but I finally hit it big at the third wal mart that had the whole case (minus Braun of all figures) on the floor.

My closest Walmart started the year off well, but stalled at basic 92 in April. They haven't gotten anything since.

I'm happy I have the figures... evil scalper man is happy he's made a nice profit... and the world keeps on turning. This is the tricky thing. The way that they are releasing some of these figures are the only way they can get them out. They can chance it and make a specific series for them, but it would end up dying as most flashback lines seem to do. Unfortunately, it’s all about the chase with these figures. With the collector market and figures in general gaining so much steam, scalpers of all types are scooping hard to find figures from every company. I wanted Harley and just never found him. I could just get him from a secondary seller, but I just can’t justify that especially if we will be getting another Harley in the future. Maybe Mattel will start doing some figures like hasbro did with Jaba’s barge and do a preorder for certain obscure figures. If they get enough preorders, they make the figure, if not.. there wasn’t enough demand to make it.
