I'm looking forward to these. I'm fine if the line runs from December'19 until the new He-Man line launches in Fall 2020. Not everything has to last 100 waves.

Rock seemed more like modern Rock with the Brahma Bull tank. Cena was an active roster guy. Sting with a soul patch is definitely modern Sting. Even Taker was a modern Taker. So more like 3/8 of true flashback legends. Wait, so they’re only legends when they’re in the outfits you like? I clearly meant flashbacks. Legends and flashbacks are interchangeable terms to me like chases and exclusives are to others.

Don't get me wrong, I don't want them to fail if people want them, I just don't like them very much but I love 80's WWF and MOTU a lot. A lot of people on the He Man boards seemed annoyed by these taking up He Man allocation.

The cross over lines just don’t do it for me. Not monsters, zombies, or even turtles & ghostbusters. (I’m an 80s kid too so turtles & ghostbusters were huge) but I don’t need the mix. My feelings exactly... I like MOTU and WWE, but have zero interest in seeing/having WWE guys as MOTU figures/characters. Same applies with Ghostbusters (and Marvel/DC, Star Wars or anything else).

Personally, I find it funny. Way back in 2009, as the news was announced that Mattel would be taking over the WWE action figure license, this line of figures is sort of what I was expecting to see. I wasn’t thinking about the weapons and snap on armor, mostly just the He-Man design.
I don’t see anything wrong with the line, there’s similar looking figures for DC Comics, horror movie characters like Freddy and Jason, and other licenses. I don’t plan on rushing out and buying them all, but there are some that I think look cool and will probably buy when I see them. Warrior and Macho are pretty much guaranteed buys for me, just because of who they are. I will probably buy both Triple H figures too, they both look cool.

I haven’t bought any wrestling figures in a long time, and no figures in general really apart from Mega Construx MOTU, but I might get these. He-Man was my first fandom and was what got me into action figures, although I hadn’t bought any of the toys between about 1988 and the Mega Construx ones. And WWE fandom has stuck with me for almost 30 years now. I really like the look of these combining the two.

I look forward to buying them on clearance or at a close out store.

I dig the hybrid styles. One combining all the eras of Taker would be sick.

The weird thing about these crossover lines is that they always seem to miss the mark on who they're appealing to. Wouldn't fans of the '80s MOTU line rather have '80s WWF wrestlers as MOTU characters than people like Cena and the New Day? I suspect that the Savage and Warrior will do pretty well and the rest of these will warm the pegs.
Same thing with the TMNT/WWE figures. If the turtles looked like the original 1988 line instead of taking so much inspiration from the 2012 Nickelodeon series, and they had stuck to gimmicks from that era instead of Finn Balor, modern day Sting/Taker, etc., I think they would have been a much bigger success.

If all the gimmick parts are really removable, I’ll probably pick up the legends. But overall, not interested in these at all.

My biggest issue with these is the execution is poor and seems a rush job with little thought
The hhh with terror claws is very poor
So many great motu characters...a Jake / whiplash cross over could've been good as an example
The monsters line I thought was really well executed and had the same care been put into this it could've been much better

Absolutely agree, I get the New Day lends themselves to the 3 man-E-faces gimmick, but I guess if Demolition were on good terms, we could have had a Demo-3-Faces instead. The point is, yeah 80s nostalgia is great (Stranger Things, Ready Player 1, etc.) but they are missing the boat on not enough flashbacks. Hercules is a character that would fit seamlessly into the He-Man universe for instance and be a huge appeal for the adult collector market.

The weird thing about these crossover lines is that they always seem to miss the mark on who they're appealing to. You’re assuming that who they’re appealing to is just supposed to be 40 year olds who loved wrestling 30 years ago, hate it now, but still buy toys of characters from 30 years ago. That’s a niche of a niche of a niche.

I'd rather have more zombies tbh. I just gave the first 3 series moc zombies to my local charity shop. Was clearing out and needed to get rid of them, too many were piling up. However, it would just be my luck to see these become really rare in years to come.

Probably not something I’d buy, but any word if that Triple H caste grayskull will be released? Or was it just for the reveal?
