Who do you suggest then?? "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan?? Tugboat?? "Rugged" Ronnie Garvin?? Or any other old relic from that era that you love??
I'd rather watch Lex Luger in a wheel chair than Black. He doesn't look like a wrestler, he looks like he works at a Starbucks in Toronto. Whether you think he looks like a wrestler or not, he's a great one. Before getting demoted to the main roster he was putting on excellent matches in NXT.

Hasn't he beaten Cena and Orton in the past? Yeah. But the biggest problem Bray has always had as a character is tying the gimmick and promos into where winning a wrestling match seems important. He’s just never been able to link the two things. He can ramble on for ten minutes and sound cool or interesting, but it never amounts to “I need to win this wrestling match at the PPV.” And then, coming off a big match, he never cares by the next time he’s on Tv. He’s rarely sold a win or a loss as important. Well, maybe that was a feature of his character. As in maybe what he wanted most was to cause as much physical pain and mental anguish as possible, and if he gets the win, well, that's the icing on the cake.

Part of being a great wrestler is looking like one, even if you look like Adrian Adonis. Sure he was great in the developmental business, if you say so, but he can't cut it on the mainstream roster that sells all the events, toys, t-shirts and video games

Wouldn’t mind seeing Bray win the Rumble and beat Seth/Braun for the Universal Title.

Makes it kinda hard to care about the near falls though. But that’s the pitfall of having a wacky character. Old-school Undertaker had no real character purpose to wanting to win wrestling matches either (but Paul Bearer controlled him and was greedy for the winners pay). But in the old days, there were tons of characters who didn’t make sense as far as wrestling matches. IRS wasn’t going to get to send people an extra tax bill by beating them in a wrestling match. Rick Martel wasn’t going to get modelling jobs by winning a wrestling match. TL Hopper wasn’t going to get to fix extra toilets by winning wrestling matches. Bossman, Jake, Papa Shango and Beefcake only make sense as wrestlers because knocking a jobber out in a match was a way for them to legally get to live out their perverse fantasy of putting handcuffs on someone, or draping a snake on someone, or setting fire to someone’s boots, or cutting someone’s hair against their will. But Bray came along and he’s one of those throwback characters, except it’s an environment now where almost everyone else’s character is just “wrestler who wears kickpads and wants to win the title.” Everyone is basically Bret Hart now - they’re wrestlers who love wrestling and the title means the world to them. It’s easy to understand why it’s so important to Johnny Gargano or Seth Rollins to get that three count. With Bray, not so much.

Are you serious? Or are you working me? I'm serious. The guy is not cut out to be a top guy. He doesn't have it. John Cena, Randy Orton, Chris Jericho, AJ Styles, Roman Reigns, Daniel Bryan, Finn Luchador Balor, Seth Rollins, Brock Lesnar, Braun Strowman - they're stars. They can either wrestle well, cut a great promo or have amazing charisma. Black is not a star and shouldn't be booked that way. I see him in the Bad News Brown area/range booking wise. Yeah... you have no idea what you're talking about.

Look at where his career is headed vs Ricochet, a guy called up at the same time and was on a tag team with him for a short while.

I wonder if he’ll appear from time to time or just have those fire fly segments every week to set up feuds. I’d like to see him use something other than the sister Abigail and mandible claw, maybe add some new moves. The entrance is great, but IMO it could use some red/orange/yellowish lighting to make it a little more unique. I’d like to see a program with him and sting somewhere down the line. Possibly Kane and the undertaker again as well.

Wins and losses mean nothing so long as he can inflict mental or physical pain ::shrugs::

I don't know what it says about our society where we have a performer on a program with massive viewership in the under 18 demographic seeing a man wearing a mass where his facidal skin and lips have been carved off and said skin has been taxidermied onto a lantern.... I'm sorry, but in principle this really isn't okay. It's great for us adults but jesus the things we subject kids to as a society. And I mean on all fronts of our actions as adults in terms of behavior and politics to the media we create and promote. It's just not fair to them or us. Amazing concept, but still.
