I know this topic has been brought up here ad nauseam, I'm sure.
But these guys are already working on a video game (rumor has it Yuke's broke away from 2k to work on it), they've already got tshirts for most of their roster, you just KNOW, especially knowing this group, that they've begun discussions for toys.
And with all the hype surrounding them, you know toy companies are chomping at the bit to get a piece of this pie, in return.
Hopefully these will be announced sooner rather than later.
I've been bombarding the Bucks, and Cody, hell, even Tony Khan on Twitter to see if these are happening, but to no avail.
So, that being said, have we heard any substantial rumors??
I'm really hoping Jakks stays away from it, but I'm not sure who else would go for it.

Probably Funko Pops! or Micro Brawlers. A figure deal and figures will take over a year.

Their TV show needs to take off first since that is what would be driving the toyline.

Would love and only buy LJN style as per The Young Bucks set.

I think we could see some kind of novelty toys (micro brawlers, something like the LJN style Bucks figures, etc) sometime next year. But a fully articulate line with kind of a retail presence is going to be at least a few years off. The product hasn't even aired on tv yet, and it's going to take time to build a following beyond smarks. It's going to depend on ratings, ratings growth, and how they do among key toy demographics (kids, families). These things don't just happen overnight, and billion dollar companies aren't going to make a massive investment in tooling, sculpting and marketing an unproven product.

I have a feeling we will get some Funko/ish/like stuff.

Def. would take a while to build up the company. Luchasaurus is the only guy on the roster I would want right now as a figure and is the one I could see getting the attention of kids if they were on a shelf at this point.

After the announcement that Tony Schiavone had signed with AEW, I keep having visions of a Funko Pop 2pack of him and JR. 18 years ago, that would have been unthinkable, impossible. I'd love one of those scene pops with JR and Schiavone sitting behind the announce booth, ready to call the action.

We're seeing companies putting out far superior figures with way more articulation at almost the same price point. If the Boss Fight line takes off I could see AEW partnering there due to the AAA connection.

Nah, all the old companies that WCW had figs with all went out of business... Wonder what will happen this time with WCW 2.0

Heard a rumour that this new company called Lettam is looking at doing AEW figures.
This came from Dave Meltzer so it has to be true.

Heard a rumour that this new company called Lettam is looking at doing AEW figures. This came from Dave Meltzer so it has to be true. Not to start/spread rumors... But I wonder if he meant Lanard Toys? The company that makes the CORP figures. Look like GI Joe ripoffs. They also made the toys for Kong:Skull Island and Dwayne Johnson's Rampage. Not a major toy company, but one thing going for it is that it already has product in places like Walmart and Target. Plus, they have been coming out with some neat toys the last few years. Ex: the Kong:Skull Island stuff. They have also come out with these CORP riding Dinos line. Little Kid me would have been all over that.

What would be your reaction if Padawer/Wicked Cool Toys got their mitts on the AEW license?

I very much hope there are funko pops relatively soon. They already made these guys with the NJPW brand, so you’d have to imagine their status as a show on TNT would be reason enough for funko to make some. They make them for seemingly anything and everything anymore, so just a matter of time.

Nah Alvarez said Lettam has time added to their EWW deal because of production delays. They tried for the release but couldn't get it. I wouldn't be surprised to see a deal pop up with the same company doing Lucha line. WCT seems unlikely since they still do WWE stuff.
