Overall this and Steamboat/Savage made this Mania an 8 out of 10 for me.

The 2 title matches carry it but overall just for spectacle alone this will always be my fav Mania. Gorilla/Jesse as always knocked it outta the park

This was a cool idea. I think this was probably the most epic pay per view of all time. And despite almost 20 years of the past mania's being in stadiums, this one still stand above and beyond.
I wish it could still stand as a rare stadium PPV but I know WWE wants to be known as a "global entertainment company" like the NFL. I don't think anyone outside of a wrestling fan is probably attending WrestleMania and it's probably more of someone wanting to attend a mania to say they did as opposed to the talent or storylines helping bring 80,000+ people to the show. I'm sure every wrestler/manager etc...at WrestleMania III knew/knows this was an event unlike any other.
I also wish Paul Orndorff gets more credit for his 1980s WWF work. I know he was more of a WCW guy in the 1990s, his career ended early and he hasn't done much wrestling related since then but I think he and Hogan's feud and the crowd at Big Event showed WWF that they could fill 90,000 fans at WrestleMania with an even bigger star working with Hogan.

The trial run was a success!
Like I said last night, I really enjoyed going back and watching this. Hopefully in the future we can get more people in here to join in on the fun and memories.
It's safe to say Retro Watch Night is a new staple here in the classic section.

With so much talk about this WrestleMania year in year out I'm always surprised it's never mentioned where Jack Lanza was freaking out at the midgets not getting out of the ring while tending to Little Beaver. Obviously it was a minor part of a big show but I think it was pretty sweet seeing the "heel" midgets helping their opponent possibly even thinking he was really hurting. It just seemed like an "a-hole" move on Jack's part. I know he had a job to do to keep the show moving and would probably take heat from Vince as opposed to those guys who wouldn't be around after this but it's always kind of bothered me. Similar, to me is the guy at WrestleMania I with the sweater who keeps physically pushing his arm into fans arms so they can't try and reach out to the wrestlers as the enter ringside. Watching that guy is just distracting during the entrances.

kayfabe wise, You could say it was just him saying ''come on guys leave the ring with your partner'' but yeah you could tell he was trying to rush em out.

I'm looking at Friday September 13th for the next watch night humanoids. Time TBD as maybe we can try to do it a little earlier so our friends across the pond can join in. Nothing is set in stone but this is what I'm thinking as of right now.
My vote?....Royal Rumble 92!
