Has Tony ever explained, on the podcast or elsewhere, why he used the term "Yet-A?"
Even as a kid I knew the correct word was Yeti and even at the next PPV the commentators (not sure about Tony) used the name "Yeti."
I loved the Dungeon of Doom and their silly gimmicks but some were just plain awful like the Yeti.
I was a big Kamala fan and wish he would have stuck around longer in each promotion. In the territory age I get having a cool gimmick guy like him move on so not to lose the magic but in 1995 this was Kamala feeling he was underpaid. I'm sure if he had stuck around he would have been signed to a long term deal with few dates and high dollars.

Makes sense since I don't know how any announcer in his position could take this seriously.Like I said before I believe his line ''What in the hell is going on?'' was a legit reaction.

I got to talk to Kevin Sullivan for a few mins at a flea market in NJ last year lol That was at Bulldozer's run by Matt Tremont, I would imagine. I was backstage at a show run by Matt which featured Kevin and Shane Douglas. Of course we all know how fan friendly Shane is but you wouldn't believe the kindness Kevin showed every person. From the legends to the younger wrestlers and everyone else, Kevin spoke to each person about so many different topics. He was like someone's grandfather talking with everyone in the grocery store because that's how nice they are. |
